Hi,

Currently trying for DC 2, already have a 2 year old DS.

I should have ovulated today 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Anyone else entering the TWW? Due AF 7th Jan but will probably end up testing a couple days before 😄

@DancingNancies with my chemical I started bleeding 5 days after my 1st faint positive test. Hope that helps x

DancingNancies · 09/01/2023 14:54

@Mrsrobinsonx tell me about it! I'm crampy yet exhausted and still only getting the faintest lines on tests...think I'm going to go back to sainsburys tonight and get the ones I tested with a few days ago because the I'll at least have something to directly compare to and they don't appear to be getting darker at all (have used 2 different brands because i was in a different supermarket 😅). If it's chemical, then I've accepted that this month but then I'd like a period so we can go again please!

Mrsrobinsonx · 09/01/2023 14:44

@Downtherabbithole83 @DancingNancies
Thanks ladies, I just want AF to arrive now if I’m not pregnant. So confusing and the wait is the worst 🫣

DancingNancies · 09/01/2023 14:31

@Mrsrobinsonx sorry to hear you've got a BFN, hope there's some more solid answers soon!

@Downtherabbithole83 rubbish that has decided to appear with avengeance but glad you can move foward with the next cycle now! Baby dust for next month! ✨

Downtherabbithole83 · 09/01/2023 12:02

@Pitstop1986 glad to hear AF has arrived and you don’t have to keep wondering.

Sorry about the BFN @Mrsrobinsonx

My body has decided to really throw me by suddenly welcoming AF late yesterday evening and then giving me possibly the heaviest flow I’ve ever had today! Honestly though, never been so pleased to feel so rubbish 😂

Mrsrobinsonx · 09/01/2023 06:54

Update - 12dpo today and bfn.
sooo gutted my body really played me this month!

Pitstop1986 · 08/01/2023 23:17

AF finally showed up properly this afternoon. Although lighter than my usual day 1 bleed, it's still there.

So technically today is CD1 for me. At least AF is here now!

CloudyVenus · 08/01/2023 21:29

Well as expected AF hasn't turned up yet! Not overly excited as I expected it due to the illnesses and so far resisted the urge to test.

I have been feeling bloated on and off the last couple of days and had sore nips for a couple of days. My cervix felt high and soft earlier as well.

CloudyVenus · 08/01/2023 21:27

As predicted AF hasn't shown up today! Resisted the urge to test as could be from the illnesses.

Feeling a bit bloat

MrsSprouse · 08/01/2023 21:23

Sorry been taking a break from MN! I take the 7 seas tablets as they're smaller than pregnancare, although I took pregnacare with my DC1. No idea about my cycle length as I've had my coil removed in December. However used opks this month and AF arrived around 11-12 days after my LH surge so seems like my old 28 day cycles so far.

Downtherabbithole83 · 08/01/2023 14:58

Sounds like a really sensible approach @MrsL22 - I definitely need a few months of tracking with opks etc because of the procedure I had but if it hasn’t happened by then, I might take a leaf out of your book! For the moment, I’m just trying to eat well (if you ignore the chocolate which is necessary), taking my folic acid and vitamin d, and running as often as possible.

Any sign of your AF starting properly yet @Pitstop1986 ?

DancingNancies · 08/01/2023 11:46

@MrsL22 I think that's a great approach to take, it can get a bit all consuming can't it?! The best time I ever had was with DC2 - didn't have any periods so had no expectations re timings for anything and ended up being around 8w when we found out...and that test was to 'rule out pregnancy' as the cause of my tiredness 😂

Fingers crossed to everyone who has yet to have a proper AF -there's still chance this month unless she's properly arrived! I had spotting with DC2, and my sister bled frequently throughout all of her pregnancies - just a day or two at a time, but normal otherwise!

Pitstop1986 · 08/01/2023 11:03

@MrsL22 sounds like a really good approach. Stress can interfere with fertility so taking a bit of time to yourself this month will be really good for you!

Red blood is a really good sign too. I did a womb and fertility massage course and we learnt that fresh, red blood is what we should be looking for. It's all looking good for you! Let's hope that it's your month! 🤞

MrsL22 · 08/01/2023 10:41

My periods have been super light since having my IUD removed! Never enough to fill a pad in one day and only last 2-3 days of more brown-ish spotting.
This period has seemed slightly heavier though and constantly when I wipe nice fresh red blood (as nice as that can be 😂🙈) so I’m kinda enjoying that and hoping it might mean my body is better prepared for a pregnancy (next month 🤞🏼)
Concerned after reading that pregnacare has been linked with cycle changes in other women but all the research (teacher brain) suggests this is purely coincidental. So I’m going to try it anyway as I’ve heard a few people say they fell pregnant quickly after starting.
I’m going to try and not symptom spot this month. I’m not going to stop logging on my apps everyday and just take a little pressure off. I may or may not do OPKs around ovulation time but I’m going to just DTD as often as we like and take care of myself - a little R&R - focus on something else like a regular exercise routine or something.
DH and I want a baby soooo bad - I’m starting to question whether that is what is holding us back.

Pitstop1986 · 08/01/2023 10:03

@Downtherabbithole83 I had pretty much exactly the same with my period yesterday- started of dark brownish bleeding, but not enough to even half fill a pad, then nothing from early afternoon, maybe just a couple of spots when I wipe.

I've decided to stop taking the Proceive as I read the side effects and they can be breast tenderness, spotting in between periods and heavier/lighter periods and I don't need extra symptoms when I'm symptom spotting! I may just strip it back this month and just take folic acid and vitamin D

@DancingNancies let's hope the test starts to get darker 🤞

DancingNancies · 08/01/2023 09:02

@Mrsrobinsonx I think that's the most likely outcome, unfortunately. Just going to wait for AF now - if she's not appeared by midweek I'll test again but no point torturing myself with faint lines every day until then!

I've only had 2 periods since I stopped the pill in August so not 100% on timings either - such a pain! 🙄😂

Mrsrobinsonx · 08/01/2023 08:47

@DancingNancies
Oh really? I don’t remember much from my last pregnancy, was about 6 years ago 🙈
So you’ve had a faint positive but not getting darker? I actually had the same thing in October and was told it was a chemical pregnancy. I got faint tests on a Monday, then by Wednesday they got darker but not much. And then 2 days later started spotting and came on my period.
Hopefully it will work out for you! X

Mrsrobinsonx · 08/01/2023 08:44

@TTC5yearsx
Oh congratulations!
is that what it could be? Honestly I’ve no idea, all I know is I never spot between cycles usually only the day before AF is due or when she arrives.
My app says I’m due on tomorrow but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more like Wednesday as ovulation was slightly later this month. X

Downtherabbithole83 · 08/01/2023 06:53

Sorry if this is TMI but I’m stressing…

So not sure what’s going on with my AF… bright red/pink blood on a wipe yesterday which would normally lead to heavy bleeding later in the day but instead stayed very light and went almost brownish very quickly and by late afternoon it had stopped altogether! Wiped this morning and there is one tiny spot of brownish cm but nothing at all overnight.

Have no idea what this means for my cycle this month and whether it’s linked to recovery from my tfmr in Nov and therefore my ability to conceive is affected by whatever’s going on as I never had this in my cycles before: regular as clockwork and always straight into 2 or 3 heavy days.

DancingNancies · 08/01/2023 03:46

@Mrsrobinsonx I had the same thing with DC1 so looks promising, fingers crossed!

I don't know what's going on with me, no AF and a very, very, only visible in the right light line on a different brand of test (2 types now) but not getting any darker so whilst it's there I'm not holding out much hope but who knows!

With DC1 AF was like clockwork and I immediately got a strong positive, with DC2 I didn't know until I was 8 weeks because I'd not had AF since stopping the pill 6mo before and all tests were negative until that point! 🤔

TTC5yearsx · 08/01/2023 02:34

@Mrsrobinsonx that sounds promising for you. I got my BFP this cycle and one of my first signs was a super sensitive cervix! I’d wait until a couple of days before your missed period to test if you can to save any false negatives x

MrsL22 · 07/01/2023 18:39

@Emmamoo89 thats promising! I’ve just started pregnacare today

Emmamoo89 · 07/01/2023 17:32

Downtherabbithole83 · 07/01/2023 13:53

On one of the other threads I’m on, someone was talking about starting pregnacare and it making their cycles longer. Though with the vitamins in them I’m not sure it should affect anything like that…

I take the seven seas ones because my sister gave them to me and I love anything free! I’ve never taken anything until after my positive test before.

Pregnacare didn't lengthen my cycle. It helped me getting pregnant

Livingonhope · 07/01/2023 16:00

strange one but I seen someone else make reference to DTD when and how often do you do it either side of ovulation? thank you!!

MrsL22 · 07/01/2023 14:50

That does sound promising! Keep your hopes up lovely 😊
