TWW gang December 2022

Hi all! Quite a newbie signing up but a lurker no doubt. TTC baby #1 cycle 5. I only realised after being a lurker that regular lube has possibly been the reason why cycle 1-4 hasn’t worked. Now using preseed when needing an extra bit of slip and slide!

Currently 3dpo, due on 14th December and been having high thigh and side of pubic region stabbing pains today. I know too soon to be having any symptoms but desperately want this to be my month! Anyone else in the TWW and having symptoms?

I'm on day 9. Boobs are a little tender, but not much. I don't usually have that as part of my PMAS though. I don't want to hope! The wait is horrid! 😅

Sparkle98 · 16/12/2022 10:34

Thankyou!

im 7dpo and soooo impatient I had pains in my abdomen last night and felt sick but today feel back to normal ,
ive been ttc for 3 cycles & yes my hair is getting pulled out Hahahaha

how are you feeling?

whatdoiactuallydo · 16/12/2022 00:11

🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️I'm driving myself up the wall symptom spotting! I'm 11 dpo and my period is due in 2 days and I'm PRAYING it doesn't arrive!

I've been nauseous on and off for a few days which is new but it's also flu season🤷🏾‍♀️

Journey2022 · 15/12/2022 23:21

@Sparkle98 of course!! How is your tww going so far?! Are you pulling your hair out yet? How many cycles have you been ttc?

Sparkle98 · 15/12/2022 20:17

Can I join please??? I’m 6dpo and would love some company x

Journey2022 · 15/12/2022 17:34

@Iwouldlikeababyplease haha thank you the tww is a killer. Another pen pal fertility friend I have been chatting to since march time finally got her BFP this week for Christmas and I'm beyond excited for her, it's lovely to share and have others support you. It would be lovely to share the pregnancy journey with some of those who have shared the fertility journey - but if not ill be excited and cheering anyone on with a BFP regardless!

Talking of christmas I'm sitting here doing the endless wrapping at the moment! I'm over Xmas songs though so have adele keeping me company - considering a small red wine aswell! 😆
To be honest atleast christmas is a nice distraction from wanting to do a pregnancy test.

What about everyone else?

Iwouldlikeababyplease · 15/12/2022 16:37

Thanks @gemloving @Journey2022 @Ncl31 sending lots of love and baby dust to the thread! Wish I could change the title to 2023 now 🤣. Staying positive for a January BFP!!

@Journey2022 fingers crossed for you! I hate the TWW it's an official announcement! I had so many symptoms this month it was unreal 😅 damn body! I was so convinced!

Nearly Christmas is everyone ready!?

OP posts:
Ncl31 · 15/12/2022 15:12

@gemloving @Iwouldlikeababyplease sorry ti hear you’re both out.
im 11DPO today and had a BFN, kinda resided myself to being out this month already.
onwards and upwards

Journey2022 · 15/12/2022 15:01

@gemloving @Iwouldlikeababyplease sorry your both out this month. Stay positive for next month and now just focus on being your healthiest happiest most relax self ready for your January cycle. Sending you both lots of positivity!!

I'm 6dpo I'm symptom spotting and really need to not symptom spot as it will make it harder to get a bdn.
Day 3 I had some light period like cramps (definitely too early I know)
Day 5 and today day 6 I've had twinges and aches mainly on lower right side quite deep in the pelvis but also a bit on the left. I definitely ovulated from the right side on thr 9th as I felt it. I've also had lightening crotch yesterday, then lightening pain similar but in the right side of my groin.

Basically all could be from a tough gym session, higher hormone levels due to taking letrozole or basically just gas 🙄😆🙈

I also know 6dpo having symptoms is highly unlikely and I'm being silly!

I had a cd21 progesterone test this morning (but late as I ovulate late so had it cd23) I should get them results tomorrow.

gemloving · 15/12/2022 14:19

@Iwouldlikeababyplease same here although, 3 days ago. Sending hugs Flowers

Iwouldlikeababyplease · 15/12/2022 13:26

Hey all!

AF arrived in full force overnight which brings me on to cycle 6 😓 let's pray for some Christmas loving to get my BFP! How are you all?

OP posts:
Caterpillar132 · 13/12/2022 14:17

@Iwouldlikeababyplease Hi :) I didn’t test positive until after my AF was due last time so not completely out yet!

I’m Teton SO hard not to symptom spot. My boobs are a bit more sore than normal at this point in my cycle (plus some back pain!), but trying not to read into it!

What has felt different for you this time round? Xx

Laul89 · 13/12/2022 13:33

@Iwouldlikeababyplease I’m trying desperately not to symptom spot this month but it’s so hard!! 🫣 my boobs felt a little tender last night and I woke up feeling crampy this morning but both seem to have disappeared. Approx 7dpo now.

Fingers crossed AF doesn’t arrive for you! 🤞🏼

Journey2022 · 13/12/2022 11:39

@Iwouldlikeababyplease morning!! Honestly so many people concieve with a higher BMI I recommend @ fatpositivefertility on Instagram if you don't follow her anyway - she's great and very informative. I genuinely think the NHS ask you to bring BMI down just ad its then a so called easier pregnancy for them to deal with rather than it being an issue to concieve - but once again lots of ladies with high BMI have great and healthy pregnancies. I genuinely find any issues the NHS just say to loose weight but in the case of getting fertility treatment it's frustrating as privately they will treat you at a higher BMI but the cost is so high.

Fingers crossed for you in your wait you only really have a few more days to go! Try and distract yourself a bit I find the last few days of the TWW the hardest! Fingers crossed for you!

@Ncl31 I'm trying to watch out for any niggles or aches I had what felt like less obvious period cramps yesterday but at 3dpo there's just no way it could mean anything - my mind is playing tricks on me!!

Have a lovely day in the snow all - if its snowy where you are 😁

Ncl31 · 13/12/2022 11:13

@Iwouldlikeababyplease this would be cycle 14 for us.
I feel absolutely fine today. Has a slight niggle this morning but nothing more than that. Very sensitive nipples yesterday but they’ve disappeared now.

fingers crossed for you, sending lots of baby dust

Iwouldlikeababyplease · 13/12/2022 11:08

Morning all 👋🏼👋🏼

12dpo and BFN on a cheapie this morning, AF due tomorrow (possibly Thursday as came on last month in the evening). I'm hoping it doesn't mean I'm out but not feeling 100% hopeful but definitely had different feelings this month compared to the last 4!

@Ncl31 gosh isn't the days dragging when in the TWW! Sending lots of strength for you to wait out and BFP! How many cycles would this be for you?

@Laul89 @Caterpillar132 hope you're both well! Any early symptom spotters 😁?

@Journey2022 gosh sounds like a journey you've been on! I can't say I know a lot about any of what you're going through but happy to learn and listen! Hope you're doing ok and feeling positive!

@Ncl31 @Journey2022 my BMI is 40 😢 I'm hoping that's not what's holding me up! I'm short and always been overweight! Covid did not help and probably a stone or 2 more than I'd like to be now for the last year or so... well done on your weight loss!!

OP posts:
Caterpillar132 · 13/12/2022 07:09

@Ncl31 I agree, it’s just torture and it means there’s longer to wait at the other end, before you can start trying again (if you know what I mean). Stay strong 💪xx

Ncl31 · 13/12/2022 06:14

@Peachy3118 sorry to hear this. Hopefully you’ll get some clarity from the GP. Sending hugs

Peachy3118 · 13/12/2022 00:00

Thank you but seems this wasn’t our month :( had a pathetic 2 day period but still testing negative so need to call drs as not feeling normal 🙈 good luck everyone sending all the baby dust!

Ncl31 · 12/12/2022 20:33

I’ve got my BMI down to 34.2 from 38.7 so I know I can do it. Just got to keep going. I’ve got a treadmill which helped me get this far, I need to carry on that’s all.
it’s so difficult isn’t it.

Ive not bad HSG before but I know people who have, a close friend of mine caught her rainbow boy that very cycle after her HSG.

I’m trying to keep myself sane and not think about symptoms too much but I can’t help it.

Fingers crossed for you this month too

Journey2022 · 12/12/2022 20:26

@Ncl31 I thought it was unfair they made me get to a bmi of 35 but under 30 feels awful I'm sorry about that.

Have you considered keto? It's not really a diet you can have cheat meals or dip in and out of though unless it's every 8 weeks or so.

I went to the gym for 6 months regularly to get my bmi down and my weight didn't move, not until I went on keto.

Have you had a hsg before? I had to have one before they let me take clomid which I had to pay for privately - mine came back clear but it was painful, but over quick. Apparently success rates are higher up to 3 months after the hsg though so a good reason to have it!

Ncl31 · 12/12/2022 20:19

@Journey2022 i think it just depend on where you live. They told me I have to be below 30 before they prescribe anything on NHS.
However, I have a review appointment 16th January and they said they’d discuss a trial as my BMI is below 35 so I’m hopeful if this isn’t our cycle then they might offer that.
Ive also got to ring for a HSG appointment on the first day of my period.
I feel okay at the moment as we have something to look forward to.

@Caterpillar132 not too long but I’m trying my best to hold out and not early test every day and feel disappointed every time it’s a BFN.

Caterpillar132 · 12/12/2022 19:56

@Ncl31 Not long to wait for you then! Keep us updated 😍

Journey2022 · 12/12/2022 19:54

@Ncl31 10dpo I'd probably be doing an early test from tomorrow if I thought I had a new symptom even though I know it could be a false negative! My friend who has just had her first said her boobs were visibly bigger in the tww but didn't hurt anymore than usual. So I always look out for that!

I had to get my bmi down to 35 or under for the NHS to give me 3 rounds of letrozole - I just met it but my weight does yoyo a bit so I think I'm a bit above that now. I had done 2 rounds of clomid privately earlier this year with no luck.
It's very difficult to not be consumed by it we had a few months off trying as we got quite stressed after failing with the clomid.

Ncl31 · 12/12/2022 19:42

Hi @Caterpillar132
all good here so far. 9DPO today, hoping to hold out until Saturday to test.

@Journey2022 sorry to hear your journey has been so long. Fingers crossed for you. I’m currently trying to get my BMI down to below 30 to be prescribed ovulation induction meds.
currently in 2WW and trying by best not to symptom spot but it’s so hard! Today my nipples are ultra sensitive which isn’t unusual for me before AF but OH has just said they look bigger 👀so now I’m trying to analyse that myself.
it’s so difficult not to get wrapped up in it all isn’t it
