Success stories after mmc

Hi :)

I had a missed miscarriage at 12 week, baby was measuring 9 weeks.
AF returned this week after just over 5 long weeks of waiting for it.
my question is how long did it take people to conceive after a period after miscarriage? I have a DS who is nearly two and he was conceived whilst I was on the pill. And this pregnancy I just lost took me one cycle so hoping I get pregnant fairly quickly as I have in the past.
I guess I’m just looking for some reassurance as this has really affected me more than I thought.
And to top it all off my partners brother has just announced they are pregnant with twins so all very emotional this weekend.
Sorry for the rant and appreciate any stories after pregnancy after loss x

So reassuring hearing all of these stories!
Goodluck at your scan next week.
I hope it happens for us. Such a horrible feeling not knowing what will happen. Xx

ChloeN · 18/03/2023 14:55

@Coco190 so pleased you managed to fall pregnant again! Hope it all goes well next week for your scan💕

devilsqueen · 18/03/2023 12:32

Sorry to jump on but have been reading the thread.
I lost my baby boy at just under 17 weeks, I had to be induced. Worst thing I’ve been through.
(I have two older children and hadn’t had a loss before).
I’ve ordered some conceive plus ovulation support as I have very irregular periods, I’m not sure if they actually do anything but I feel like I’m trying I suppose. I’m so scared it will never happen again, irregular periods don’t help. But it is nice to read of some of your success stories!!

I had a missed miscarriage, went for 12 week scan and was told I was 8 weeks with no heartbeat. I had an erpc. It took nearly 6 months to have a period but I conceived first cycle x

Sunshine2243 · 18/03/2023 12:02

@tanksgoggle how long did you break for after mmc before trying to get preg again?

tanksgoggle · 18/03/2023 08:51

Sorry to hear of your loss. I had a MMC at 12 weeks, I was devastated and because no one I knew had had a miscarriage except those who had lost several babies- I was terrified of losing the next one.

But after a break to recover I fell pg after about 9 (very long and anxious) months of trying, then had baby no.2 after 2 months of trying.

TheBirdintheCave · 18/03/2023 08:44

@Coco190 Aww. Congratulations! 🥰 Mine was another MMC unfortunately so I'm back in the TTC trenches 🤦🏻‍♀️

Coco190 · 17/03/2023 23:17

@99SR so sorry to about your loss. since this post I have managed to conceive. I am currently 12 weeks pregnant and have my scan on Tuesday.
I had an early scan at 9weeks6days and saw a strong heartbeat and he/she wriggling about a lot. Hopefully all is well at my 12 week scan.
I hope this gave you a bit of reassurance. Here if you need to chat about anything x

Just jumping on here, needed some positive stories after reading a lot about MC.
Had a MMC in Nov last year. Hoping to fall pregnant again soon. This month was my first testing for ovulation but sadly didn’t fall pregnant! Hopefully in the next few months!
hope everyone is well x

@Blue2020 thanks lovely, glad to hear all was okay for you, hope it’s the same for me🤞🏻

Blue2020 · 28/11/2022 20:56

@ChloeN I initially wasn’t sure about having another private scan this time, then my symptoms temporarily disappeared at 8 weeks and I needed to know if it meant anything. I saw the heartbeat, and then the symptoms returned. I also booked the scan at a different place, just to detach from some of the memories. I hope it all goes well for you.

minley76 · 28/11/2022 19:49

My 2nd pregnancy ended in MMC at 13 weeks in early March 2017 (on my birthday). I didn't have medical management so things took a while to settle down, but I was pregnant again by mid July that year. It was a quite horribly anxious pregnancy but she is now 4 1/2 years old and thriving.

I'm sorry for what you've been through and wish you the very best.

ChloeN · 28/11/2022 19:33

@Blue2020 oh that’s amazing, yes mine was similar found out at just over 8, stopped at 7, but I’m just so scared to go again😔😔 xxx

Blue2020 · 28/11/2022 19:17

@ChloeN I didn’t see a heartbeat on my first when I was supposed to be 9 weeks (mmc stopped at 6+ weeks, private scan at 9 weeks in April). So this time I went into a private scan at 9 weeks half expecting the same news, it was amazing for them to point out the heartbeat. Now I’m 17weeks, so further than we have managed before.

@Coco190 it took us three months to conceive again after the miscarriage/surgery. In hindsight that’s quick, it didn’t feel it at the time.

ChloeN · 28/11/2022 18:39

@Chanel05 yes that’s my fear with early scans although would be amazing to see a heartbeat as never did the first time! I’m just praying this time will be okay for me🤞🏻

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 28/11/2022 17:49

Two years, but I have additional fertility problems

Chanel05 · 28/11/2022 17:17

@ChloeN I did, yes. However, I treated the scans as a snapshot in time that was relevant for that moment and no day going forward. In my first pregnancy, I'd seen a heartbeat and then it'd stopped by the second scan so I knew that it could all change in an instant.

ChloeN · 28/11/2022 16:51

@Chanel05 sorry to jump in and ask but did you have early scans for your next 2 pregnancies after mmc? I’m so torn on what to do this time around xx
