Anyone going through the 2 weeks wait? 😭

Hiya

Anyone going through the 2 week wait? I’m trying not to symptom spot but it’s so hard. I’m approx 7 dpo. Today I’ve had sharp pains in my left side, tired and a headache that I can’t shift. I’ve been ttc for a few months now after a MMC in August. It’s so stressful 😭

Really struggling with the wait today. Only 3DPO - don’t feel any different (I know I wouldn’t yet). Lady at work has announced she’s going off to have her second and I’m just feeling very desperate today I guess.

UserL95 · 22/11/2022 09:26

I’m 5PO today and wiped bright red/pink blood with fmu. And on the second wipe there was nothing! I never bleed/spot outside of AF days and AF isnt due for another 7 days.
Im reluctant to get too hopeful but could this be implantation bleeding?
Anyone with similar experiences?

Yolo23 · 22/11/2022 08:19

@lili2308 i know! It’s crazy how different your mind set is when you’re on this journey and while I’m really pleased for anyone who announces, im also wondering in the back of my head… how long were you trying!? Or were you!? 😂 I know it’s none of my business but it still feels such a taboo that it’s not spoken about which is part of the reason we all get ate up about how long it takes because up to a year… is… normal…
im well over that in totality but only a few months with my partner. Long story I was 10 years into a relationship previous but it’s bitter sweet as endo found and I’ve now got the love of my life 🥰 that being said, the fact it hasn’t happened quickly when I should now be OK is frustrating and my gut says it’s going to take years so buckling down for the long ride here… what’s your situation 😊

@rommy33 I think if you tested and it was BFN you should wait until AF is late. I’ve seen threads where women don’t get a positive until days after a their missed period. The only symptom I ever had was a late period. Now that I’m ttc again I notice signs like fatigue, headaches, pain on the left side, temperature and off food but my AF arrives and I’m just starting to think maybe after my MMC this is normal now. Hope you get your BFP x

Thank you for your response! I religiously have 31 day cycles the 20th typically being my af due date - however no show nor signs of coming rn.. still early I guess don’t want to jinx it but I just have a horrible flu like illness, twinges and nausea.. im not sure when I’ll test as I’m scared to see anything other than a BFP at this point ☹️

LMM91x · 21/11/2022 22:47

Soooooo tempting @lili2308 but at present I don’t have any….. so I think I will hold off (famous last words see you in a few days when i’ve tested early🤣)

lili2308 · 21/11/2022 22:45

@LMM91x are you going to use the '6 days early' test or wait till AF day ? The former is so tempting

lili2308 · 21/11/2022 22:43

@Yolo23 omg yes ahhaha it's so funny how you spend so much time paranoid about getting pregnant from situations during which the chances are close to 0 and when it comes to wanting one, you time it to a t... and yet it's not that easy

LMM91x · 21/11/2022 22:41

@lili2308 YEP i get you 100%, I swear I didn’t even think twice about anything period related unless it was actually me coming on… gah its madness drives me mad. I’m literally counting down the hours now, I want to get to 6 or 7. Dpo!! 3 is so boring and uneventful🤣

lili2308 · 21/11/2022 22:39

@Ttc33 no children or pets :) First time I'm going through all of this. I'm 28 and naturally none of my friends have kids so stalking Mumsnet is basically my only point of reference....

lili2308 · 21/11/2022 22:36

@LMM91x I know! Last cycle I was noticing every tiny thing thinking must be it.and that obviously made it last forever. And it wasn't a sign of anything.... Now I'm thinking whether all of these symptoms was my usual pms that I typically just don't pay much attention to (eg breast tenderness, discharge...) so now gonna try really hard to not pay attention to anything until AF day Hmm

CreatingLittlePudding · 21/11/2022 21:13

@Mammatoacutie my cycles are usually 26 days and I ovulate around cd12/13

My line is darker this evening 🤞🏻

Mammatoacutie · 21/11/2022 20:39

@Ttc33 i second the pillow under and lying still- convinced that worked for me last time too!

@CreatingLittlePudding I’m sure that it doesn’t matter how faint it is, if it’s a line it’s likely to be positive🤞how many days are your cycle if you don’t mind me asking?

CreatingLittlePudding · 21/11/2022 17:31

@Ttc33 this is my 3rd cycle, I'm 29 and already have an almost 11 year old but this is my first time actually ttc. I held out until af was due last cycle, was convinced I might be pregnant so a bfn was a kick in the teeth so this cycle ive been testing early to try and keep my expectations realistic so I was surprised with a faint line but im not getting my hopes up at this stage.

Ttc33 · 21/11/2022 16:56

@CreatingLittlePudding Hiya, how many cycles have you been trying? I refuse to test early now I just got to addicted and deflated not to mention the amount of money spent. Fingers crossed for you for tomorrow

OP posts:
CreatingLittlePudding · 21/11/2022 16:19

Hey! I'm 9dpo and early testing this cycle! Yesterday at 8dpo was a bfn, but my test this morning had a very very faint line, not sure what to think about it so just waiting until tomorrow to test again

AgeGapBbe · 21/11/2022 15:50

All these things are good to know, thank you. He already has 2 kids so I know he is a ont be able to have funded iVF. I had my implant out last Feb and my cycles have been a bit all over the place but I know I’m ovulating (regular testing). When you’re a teenager you feel like you’d have sex once and be pregnant- it’s so far from that!

Alysskea · 21/11/2022 15:39

@AgeGapBbe if things are ok with you there is the option if donor insemination which is cheaper and less invasive than IVF, might be funded for you. Don’t give up hope just yet.

AgeGapBbe · 21/11/2022 15:32

Yes but I’m not holding out much hope. AF was very close to O so I doubt there was enough time for the womb wall build up.

We also dtd twice but the second time (right on peak) was only a little bit… there was more the day before and that was my only day of ‘high fertility’ this month.

I’ve had my hormones checked and they look all good. DP has got to be checked and I’m due an internal ultrasound- just waiting on the appointment confirmation. He’s a lot older and I’m terrified about his sperm- just not sure there’s much that can be done if he’s too old 😢

Ttc33 · 21/11/2022 14:49

@summerchild92 back to square one trying again but my cycles are not 100%as they used to be.

OP posts:
Ttc33 · 21/11/2022 14:47

Hiya @summerchild92

It just seems easy for most people doesn’t it. We was trying for about a year before but decided to stop. We tried again in May and fell pregnant first time. But that time I put a pillow under me and laid still for 20 minutes. I swear that’s what helped x

OP posts:
Kittenmum89 · 21/11/2022 14:43

@Mammatoacutie DPO twins ! fingers crossed for us this month.

summerchild92 · 21/11/2022 14:28

Hi everyone! :)

i’m in my TWW as well. Today I’m 10-11dpo, as not really sure when I ovulated (gp gave two possible dates according to the size of a follicle). We have been trying for over a year and a half, tried Clomis (not successful) and I just had HyCosy two weeks ago.

My cycles are 28-29 days, dh’s SA was great, my ovaries look good and tubes are not blocked. Soooo, not sure what the deal is with us.

but keepinf my fingers crossed this is our month. If not, i’m starting letrozole next cycle …
