@peaky297 I can see a line!! I don’t think those cheapy tests tend to get evap lines?? I’d test again in 48 hours and you should see the line get darker. Fingers crossed 🤞

@peaky297 @nadsc i thought the same about last nights test, but wasn’t sure if it was because it was next to the positive OPK. Have you got enough cheapies to try this evening?
I’m ok, just ill at the moment. Some stomach cramps and still a bit of pink/brown when I wipe 🤷‍♀️

I’ve had a bit more pink/brown when I wiped this morning.

10dpo and BFN this morning. Perhaps a little early to test but 32 days is the longest cycle I have had since stopping the pill in Feb. Normally 28/29 days but last month it was 32. And today is 32days. Fingers crossed AF doesn’t show today! 🤞🏻

@GemLou88 exactly. I got to the point where I sometimes thought "I don't want to do it now. What's the point."

I never want to be back there again. But yes absolutely if you don't know where you're up to, it's vital. But for me it was clockwork within a few days, apart from after the vax etc where I was all skew wiff xx

@CR7 😂 no problem. I get what you mean about almost ruining your sex life too. When I had my mmc it took a while for me to get a negative test (3 rounds of medical management then surgery to remove remaining products) to try again. I then obsessed over the OPK’s and the OH started saying I only wanted sex for a baby, which was partly true but I think if it took my longer to conceive then it really would have drove a wedge between us.

@peaky297 i only got my peak yesterday and felt what I thought was ovulation pain yesterday so would have only counted today as 1DPO so definitely too soon! Oh no! If AF isn’t here tomorrow definitely test Thursday

@CR7 I agree that can cause a lot more stress when ttc can be stressful enough as it is. They helped when I conceived my little boy because I ovulated a week later that I thought. And I’ve used them this month as I’ve not long come off the pill and haven’t had a regular cycle in years now. But once im regular again I don’t think I’ll use them. I can’t get my head around them and it just adds more questions than answers at the moment!

Aware that what I’m about to say will divide opinion. It’s only my experience.

I used OPKs each and every month for four years. Four. Long. Years. They became tortuous for so many reasons. I am now going through ivf and both the NHS and my private dr told me to ditch them.

they said to me “ have you ovulated every month that you’ve been using them?”

I confirmed I had.

“then stop using them. You know roughly within a weeks or so of when you ovulate each month, so have sex every other day for a ten day period. That will be sufficient if you’re ovulating monthly. Give yourself and your husband a break from them.”

we gave them a break. It did us the world of good. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not yet pregnant, although I am PUPO after having an egg transfer last week, but I really needed to hear the advice they gave me because my husband and I were really suffering with the OPKs.

this is just me. But the advice really helped. I spent so much money on OPKs over the years and for me personally, they almost ruined my sex life and my marriage. Every person is different. But stopping using them actually saved me in the end.

@peaky297 any chance you could have ovulated later than you think? TTC definitely keeps us guessing.
not much spotting, just when I wiped earlier. Too early to be implantation, so maybe it’s like what you said before with a surge on the OPK before AF

@peaky297 do you think you will test again tomorrow if AF doesn’t show?
Im feeling a bit sicky but I think we’re all coming down with the flu. But I’ve also just wiped pink again so maybe AF is on the way. I have no idea. My own body is confusing me

I’ve done some more OPK’s today and they are still pretty high. I’m sure I had ovulation pain yesterday on my left but still getting some twinges today. Dtd last night and might try again tonight and we will see.
