Hi ladies, after stalking every one else’s threads for months I’ve decided to make my own 😄 Im 7DPO today and have had 2 negative tests so far. Im 31, and we’ve been ttc for about 4 months now. I know it’s a bit too early to test so I’m staying hopeful. I just want to hear from anyone who’s in a similar situ so we can offer some support for each other ☺️ x

Hi!!! @TK220440 @Yolo23 we all seem to be in a very similar situation I'm on cycle 2 of properly trying, although I am incredibly sorry to hear about your Chemical it must have been heartbreaking♥️

I'm on cd 28 and holding out until Sunday to test 😬 since stopping the pill in June had 30, 31 day cycles until last month when it was 27. No idea if my symptoms are AF or not as I have had different ones every month. Had a negative test last Sunday at the hospital so not holding out much hope really

TK220440 · 18/11/2022 08:45

@Yolo23 We’re exactly the same, never really timed it too much but, this month I think we covered all dates! Fingers crossed for you... how long is your cycle?
definitely prioritise having the smear! It’s so important and will lift some stress once you have it.
I have a gut feeling it’s the long haul for me also.. wish I could just stop stressing and leave it to be what will be but it’s impossible

Yolo23 · 17/11/2022 22:16

@TK220440 oh I’m sorry to hear about that 😔 must have been devastating so no wonder you took some time out.
As I was on the pill for so long, to be honest we’ve only been ‘in it’ last month and this month really. I’d been using an app When we first started but after putting my period dates in, after, it was clear we kept missing ovulation 😂 having timed it perfectly, I’m intrigued to see what happens this month. As I say, my gut says we’re in it for the long haul but who knows!?
A concern I have right now is planning for a smear - eeeek! So awkward. I’ve postponed one from this week, to a few days before my period is due. I need to have it because of abnormal results last year requiring a biopsy so it’s tough to plan it all in together 🫣

TK220440 · 17/11/2022 22:01

@Yolo23 oh wow... that’s a lovely story 🥰 That’s what I love about these chats is that everyone has there own unique journeys to get here!
so you’re 3 days ahead of me and cd19/20.
I’m 33 and had a chemical mc in July. We decided to have a little time of from ttc and started again in September so I’m 3 cycles in ttc.

Yolo23 · 17/11/2022 21:23

So I’ve worked it out again and I now see I’m CD20! Should I be keeping an eye out for anything now I know that!? 😂 this is very new to me…

Yolo23 · 17/11/2022 21:21

@TK220440 I know right!? I’ve been on the pill since I was a teen (to manage period cramps mainly - endo discovered about 3 years ago)… but an op has ‘apparantly’ rectified this - fingers crossed!!
My situation is a little different in the sense that my previous partner and I (of almost 10 years) were TTC for over 2 years before we seperated just before investigations for endo. It was all bitter sweet as it led me to the love of my life and we’re now actively TTC in what should be an even playing field (given I’ve had an op for endo) - I came off the pill officially in July but it’s only this month I’ve timed ovulation because my periods were all over the shop 😂
so my last period was 29th Oct (started) and it ended 2nd Nov - would this mean I’m CD19? What about your situation 🥰 how long have you been trying, how old etc x

TK220440 · 17/11/2022 20:57

Hey @Yolo23 .. I’ve spent so many years trying ‘not to get pregnant’ and now the times right to ttc and it’s so bloody stressful!!
CD is cycle day.. so my last period was 2nd November so I’m in cd16 now.,. What CD are you in now and how long have you been trying? 🥰

Yolo23 · 17/11/2022 20:53

Heey @TK220440 I’m the same - who’s have thought all of this needed to line up to make one blinking baby 😂 it really does open your eyes up to the world.
best of luck for this cycle - what does CD mean out of interest? We’re on the same sort of timeframes for TTC I believe 🥰

TK220440 · 17/11/2022 18:37

@carsty hey carsty! I’m not 100% sure to be honest... I haven’t been temping or using OPK’s yet as it’s still early days 🙂Im currently on CD16 and DTD CD9, 11, 14 and 16 (early morning session 😆) so I’m hoping that might have covered all possible dates? I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you! How many months have you been trying? I never thought it’d be so complicated and stressful!

carsty · 17/11/2022 18:18

@NarnieJoy same here the ambiguity is frustrating.
@TK220440 welcome, what dpo are you today? im waiting fo af its due anytime...so far today havent noticed much cramping which is kinda unusual...i have been having af type cramping since last week...i usally get pains and sensation on left side vut oddly im feeling stining type sensation on right side...dnt know what to make of it but af may show her red head anytime now...

TK220440 · 17/11/2022 15:22

Hi! I thought I’d jump on this if that’s okay? So excited to get to meet people and share their journeys ttc :-)
Im 33 and on cycle 3 for baby #1. It’s so exciting but so nervous too! How’s everyone getting on? xx

NarnieJoy · 17/11/2022 08:14

@carsty i am also a wait till AF has not come tester - I like to live in hope for a couple more days! What I couldn’t cope with is ambiguity of a squinter Haha

carsty · 17/11/2022 04:27

lol@NarnieJoy i second tgat regarding ibs, im always bloated and feeling movement in my stomach as well as abdo pain...the symptons mirror pms and pregnancy so its hard to tell otherwise...hence noe ill just have to wait until af is missed as an indicator...

Beepops22 · 16/11/2022 21:50

@NarnieJoy I never noticed how many cramps I get until I started TTC
@Yolo23 Welcome to the crazy lingo! You soon pick it up.
Fingers crossed for us all 🤞

Yolo23 · 16/11/2022 21:25

Hello! I could have almost wrote your post myself 😆 . I’m 31, around 5 dpo (look at me - second post in and getting down with the lingo). We’ve been trying since I came off the pill in July but only this month done a digital ovulation test.
Unfortunately I’ve been on this rodeo before and was TTC previously for years before an endometriosis diagnosis but after surgery last year, was told things should be normal… I’ve still got something in the back of my mind telling me it’s a long road ahead. My gut usually right unfortunately as I had to fight my ass off for endo investigations! Anyway hope you have some good news this month 🥰 it’s always positive to hear genuine stories from people that are transparent with their TTC journeys because I think in the past I’ve been ‘blindsided’ by the fact no one has shared this before. It’s only when you’re on this train do you realise just how much you’re not alone ❤️ Important we all stick together to support one another along the way xx

NarnieJoy · 16/11/2022 19:53

@Beepops22 i have ibs so stomach cramping is normally just gas moving around 🤦‍♀️😂 it’s so hard when you haven’t been pregnant before to know what to look out for or what things feel like !

a few of my friends have mentioned the name willow recently - I used to know a willow and she was lovely!

GeorgiaGK · 16/11/2022 18:11

AF was meant to start today but hasn't yet eeeek! Bet it will start now I've posted this 😆

Beepops22 · 16/11/2022 18:10

@carsty it could also be a BFP sign, heard that it can be
I've just been a bit crampy but that could be anything
@NarnieJoy I think like daisy or willow are my faves. I love Phoebe!

carsty · 16/11/2022 17:41

@Beepops22 nope no symptoms at the mo. How about you?
@NarnieJoy ooh pheobe is a nice name and ive been checking down below a few times especially as af is due any moment...i had milky discharge (sorry if tmi) this morning so i think im probly out as thats sign af is coming for me.

NarnieJoy · 16/11/2022 16:05

@Beepops22 the boob checking is real, however, I never have sore boobs so it really would be a sign for me. I have moved on from the checking if my nipples have changed colour stage!

I think I would like the name Phoebe for a girl and Solomon (Sol) for a boy! What is an example of a botanical name (one you love but won’t be using if you’re worried about people seeing!)

Beepops22 · 16/11/2022 16:00

@NarnieJoy hi Narnie! Welcome!
I check my boobs a 100 times a day to see if they are sore lol!
We'd like botanical names but can't think of any nice boy ones only girl ones haha
What about you? And have you had any symptoms etc? When are you trying to hold out until to test?

NarnieJoy · 16/11/2022 15:20

Hello - can I join? I am 7dpo cycle 3. Needing some positive pants energy as I am already convinced I’m out! We bd four days before ovulation so I feel like we did a good job

does anyone check their knickers 10x a day to see what’s occurring down there?

does anyone know what name they would use if they were having a boy or a girl? I need some lightheartedness!

Beepops22 · 16/11/2022 13:26

Hi @carsty how are you feeling any symptoms? I'm due AF between now and Saturday so planning on testing on Sunday if no AF 🤞 hoping my negative test from Sunday that the nurse did was just too early.

carsty · 16/11/2022 10:08

Morning all how are yall doing? Af due anytime now...but today im having a weird headache and feeling off, also struggling to concentrate a bit not sure if its just tiredness due to work or pms...cramping has reduced somewhat.

carsty · 14/11/2022 20:48

i have 1 cheapie left and holding out on getting anymore hpts to avoid spending as i did the past few months...
