@TK220440 my stats are - 30/31 day cycle, but generally I have spotting from day 28… ovulate around day 14/15 each months so have a 12 day LP. We both have pretty good sex drive so don’t mind doing it a few times before ov but this month I am SMEP.

I had covid in September which really threw my cycle for a loop - spotting at CD20 when I’d never had that before and really late ovulation. So I might still just be recovering from thay

@TK220440 another test today BFN 😂 it feels as though AF is now slowly on her way… ugh never mind, expectations managed now in readiness! Will keep testing until Friday and then have the smear. Holiday cocktails it is! 🙃

@Yolo23 that is super early! You’re not out just yet though. Hang on in there! I did a test yesterday, BFN but only 8dpo so there’s a little hope!

@TK220440 im Sunday too 😢 I had what I thought was implantation earlier but I’ve come to realisation that it’s likely AF on its way! Super early, couldn’t help myself do a test - wrong time in fairness but yeaaah feeling a bit meh just want the week to pass now 🤪 hope you’re keeping on in there!

@NarnieJoy Ah so sorry! I know how you’re feeling.. I’m in month 3 now, due AF Sunday and starting to feel the disappointment when AF comes too 😥Keep hanging in there! It’ll happen when it’s the right time 🥰
how long is your cycle and what cycle day do you ovulate?

@NarnieJoy oh no 🥺 sorry to hear that! It’s most definitely normal - it’s often the case that people take up to a year to conceive naturally but it doesn’t make it any easier unfortunately. Wishing you all the luck for the next cycle xx

I am out! On to month 4! Hope this is normal for it to take a few try’s I just wished it to happen by now. I know I’m ovulating so that’s reassuring.

@TK220440 im honestly not sure! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed but as I had an abnormal smear a year or so ago, I’ve really got to go to be safe. I’ve held off for an extra month or two due to timing so hopefully by Fri I’ll know for sure if it’s a yes or not and then can see what’s what! AF is due on Sunday but it’ll likely be earlier so hoping time wise my appt is ok. In the US they encourage smears during early pregnancy so it’s hard to know what is best but keeping yourself safe is just as important I guess! Definitely would rather a BFP than lots of cocktails in dominican but hey ho 🤣 I’ve lost out on loads of hols before by not booking things ‘just in case’ and it got me nowhere so I try not to think too much about things in case as it’s worse when you don’t do things and still have a BFN :(

@NarnieJoy thank you! Unfortunately AF arrived this morning;( my partner is going to get his semen tested next Friday.. going to start checking everything at this stage I'm sick of just waiting on luck for every cycle

@Yolo23 Ahh okay, thank you for the info... I’ll perhaps book my smear in for late December then, just incase!
Are you thinking you’re out for this month? As much as a lovely big holiday would be amazing, we did agree to prioritise TTC rather than hold back until after the holiday. Then we’d opt for a caravan hol instead 😑

@TK220440 its probably best to try and time it so your smear happens straight after AF but my periods are so hard to plan for so I changed mine from around ovulation (as thought it may have been a bit risky) to near when AF is due - this way, I’m only a day or so early for testing and from my research it doesn’t impact anything if embedding into the womb has already taken place (not that I feel that’ll even be the case for me 🤣) but you have to have hope right!?
a lovely holiday is nice to look forward to and does break the cycle up so I’d definitely book Mexico 😊 I loved it when I went a few years ago!

@Yolo23 Me too, I’m due to call tomorrow for my smear.. is that dangerous if ttc/pregnant?

oh wow, that holiday sounds amazing! And... a good last holiday for the two of you before you become 3 😉 Me and DH were planning on Mexico in January but will book last minute just incase 🥰
I’m due AF a week today so think I’ll wait until then to test.

Hello everyone! Thank you for all the welcomes and chit chat 🥰 it is one positive for this crazy experience. I’m due to test Friday morning (ready for my smear). I wouldn’t normally test but I feel it important this month with the smear and also atleast it gives some control in my mind 🤣
anyone else due to test this week?
the only other positive this month is we’re off to the Caribbean for 11 nights all inclusive come December so if all fails atleast I can make my way through the cocktail menu… 😅

@Clocloxx checking your cervix isn’t a reliable way, I usually just see if the cm has any blood in it as that’s a sure fire way to show that I am coming in AF. The most reliable way to tell is taking a test- you could deffo take one tonight

@NarnieJoy how do you check your cervix too see if you have conceived?

@Beepops22 @carsty so sorry both... but.. it is still exciting building the journey and we all give eachother hope! I’m only on CD17 so I’m still in the TWW. So many OP say that when you stop trying so hard to try, it just happens! That’s my next plan 😑

@Beepops22 @carsty enjoy all the things pregnant people can’t enjoy! If I don’t get pregnant this month we are hitting up the spa and all the hot tubs! Just felt my cervix 9dpo and hard and high… probably out. I think next cycle I won’t check my cervix at all. Glad to get to 9dpo without any spotting as I can have a short LP sometimes

I think its totally normal to feel up against it, I know I definitely do. Think I might also have the issue of age not on my side 🤔😒
Sorry to here @carsty and @Beepops22 are out this month but I'm hoping it'll be a totally different story very soon. Definitely enjoy that wine!!
I'm due AF Tuesday, so CD22 for me today. So nice to have others to sound this stuff out with! I think my parter is bored to tears hearing me talking about it all 😂 xx
