Hey ladies,

Thought I would create a thread for those testing towards the end of Nov/early December.

I'm CD2, TTC first baby. On cycle 5.

fingers crossed for us all!

@Roxybabe I took evening primrose oil for the first month this month, and there was a huge difference in the amount of ewcm! I already had some before, but thought I'd try it and it worked much better than I anticipated! I read that you are meant to stop it when you get the positive ovulation test which I did x

Roxybabe · 26/11/2022 19:51

@ChloeN yeah you’re right, the purple ones are the advanced ones! Thanks. Think I’ll try them!

ChloeN · 26/11/2022 19:45

@Roxybabe as long as you get the purple ones it does! Think the pink ones only give blank circle then static rather than the flashing in between xx

Roxybabe · 26/11/2022 19:38

@BCxx I’ve just gone down a TTC rabbit hole and nearly ordered the ovusense fertility monitor but after reading about it its sounds like a fancy thermometer you stick up your vadge so is more accurate at confirming ovulation. But then gave myself a good talking to!! My cycles are regular, I’m confident I ovulate every month as I have BBTd before and I get an LH peak every month so is there any need for this?? I agree these companies prey on you because they know how desperate we are and I shan’t give in! Not yet anyway 😂I think I might try CB digitals just to see if I prefer it then choose one or the other. TBH easy@home always do a good job however sometimes there is no warning that your peak is coming, whereas the CB one flashes right?? And am I right in saying it detects oestrogen as well?

@Roxybabe I used both last time but just using easy at home this time. Month 4 and I very nearly ordered the clearblue one this month but I do think these companies definitely pray on the fact you’re vulnerable and desperately want to throw money at anything that might get you pregnant. The same with premom app offering me to buy the premium version and I very nearly did the other night til I thought what’s it going to do for that money?! 😂🙈

The clearblue I did like but I think it plays into the psychological thing of seeing the smiley face and getting excited. You almost feel like you’re pregnant when you get that static face when all it actually means is you’re at your peak 🙈 The east at home ones and then agreed with each other last time within a few hours of my peak. The downside to them is you could do the test in the morning and peak at night then not dtd that night if you don’t think you’re at peak then realise the following morning. I think if you’re doing the easy at home ones and trying enough then you really can’t go wrong but it is sooo tempting to give anyone your money who will take it if there’s a chance they’ll give you a baby for it 🙄😂

ChloeN · 26/11/2022 18:37

@Roxybabe i used both easy@home and clearblue together on a couple of cycles. I liked that the clearblue showed my estrogen was rising so I knew ovulation was at least coming and something was happening! I have such a quick surge so I’d get disheartened just seeing the negative LH strips for days! Clearblue always put my peak at least a day or 2 before easy@home though so was never sure which to properly trust. I doubt you really need to do both and if I had to pick I’d probably say easy@home were better for getting the peak more accurate

marleyandme · 26/11/2022 17:33

@alexalexalex18 I'm completely the same! So many waves of nausea today but only CD25 and due on next Wednesday, trying to hold out until next weekend to test but this symptom spotting is driving me crazy!

Roxybabe · 26/11/2022 17:28

11DPO today and still holding out with testing. AF is due in the next few days, not really feeling any symptoms of AF or pregnancy tbh and not feeling hopeful. Maybe mildy crampy at times but so mild that if I wasnt TTC I doubt I’d even notice and sometimes I wonder if its in my mind 😂 is phantom cramping a thing? So thought I’d plan for next month, I’ve been using Easy@home ovulation sticks and premom app which I do really like but I see so many of you using clear blue digital and wondered if it was worth a try? Can I ask what the difference is and what you prefer if you have used both in the past. Another concern of mine is I don’t see much CM, and I already have pre-seed (haven’t tried it yet) but I wondered if anyone had tried or knows about taking evening primrose oil or starflower oil to help with this??

Are nausea, extreme tiredness and awful ovary pain signs of pregnancy? 11 dpo, feeling absolutely horrible today, my ovaries don’t hurt this much when I’m on my period…
AF is due on the 1st of dec so why would I feel anything now

All those signs were how I knew I was pregnant with my son despite BFN tests

ScotsBaby2 · 26/11/2022 17:08

Currently TTC baby 3. I think I was due to ovulate the day before I got my covid vaccine. This was on 15th October. I have long cycles so was expecting period on 14th November. Nothing arrived. Lots of BFN before and after. On 17th November I did pregnancy and ovulation test as I had ovulation symptoms. Ovulation test showed dark line!! DTD that night.

Now waiting. When would be good testing window? I'm now on cycle day 46...

I’m 9DPO so obviously I tested again as a serious POAS-er. BFN at 7dpo. Bleeding/light spotting at 5 and 8dpo. AF due in 3 days.

Morning test frer - had to squint and all sorts. Probably just an indent so not getting excited but I feel like there is the worlds faaaaintest line. I put a filter on too. Still desperately hopeful this is our month… maybe that’s why I feel like there is something…
Attaching to help sooth my own disappointment lol

@Stilltobeseen yes I'm trying so hard not to but can't help it!!

I am 9dpo today.. woke up feeling so tired and light headed, like I was hungover. I have told myself I am not testing unless AF is late, so that's another week of waiting, which will feel like forever!

Stilltobeseen · 26/11/2022 09:01

Anyone else struggling not to symptom spot? With my first pregnancy I had an implantation bleed/cramps then nothing. In fact I felt amazing 🤣 I did feel a bit like my period was about to start, in fact felt that way until about 6/7 weeks. So I'm trying not to compare because who knows if anything is pregnancy or pms but maaaan it's hard. I have so long to wait as well 😩

Misspotterscat · 26/11/2022 09:00

Tested this morning at 8dpo. BFN. Disappointed in myself for not holding out!

Lal33 · 25/11/2022 13:49

I'm out this month. To be expected really as we haven't properly started 'trying', but have been less careful than we had previously.

Let me know when there's an end of December TTC group and I'll be there!

Good luck on your BFPs ladies! Xx

ChloeN · 25/11/2022 13:00

@CreatingLittlePudding yes do it 🤣🤣 todays the first day since I haven’t done mine, might do it again in a few days to see what it’s looking like 🤣

alexalexalex18 · 25/11/2022 12:44

Hey ladies, I've started charting my BBT a while ago and while AF always comes every 30 or 31 days, I'm not sure I'm ovulating.
The apps I use set my ovulation date based on temperature but I don't really have CM all the time.

I also use cheap ovulation tests and the digital Clearblue ones starting from cycle day 9 and they match the predicted ovulation day showing high peaks.

This is my chart now, during the fertile window we've only tried 2 days before said ovulation day because I wasn't feeling really well and I have zero symptoms.
Was nauseous and with a bit of ovary cramping this morning but it might have been because of a late and spicy dinner.

Are thriphasic charts a thing? Is anything a thing? I'm lost, I want to avoid another testing disappointment so I'll ways until the 1st (when AF should come. Hopefully my net AF is next autumn)

@ChloeN These comments made me laugh, you've really started something with the lh testing now, I'll have to do mine again today 😀

LAgeDeRaisin · 25/11/2022 09:33

I'm only 3dpo and honestly could it be going any slower

LAgeDeRaisin · 25/11/2022 09:32

@elarcoiris so exciting - that's a great line, not a squinter! Congratulations! I didn't have a very dark line til after AF was due and i had a much fainter positive from 7/8 dpo for both of my pregnancies - I think that's a totally normal line for 10/11 dpo.

elarcoiris · 25/11/2022 08:25

@ChloeN that’s reassuring - thanks! I guess it’s still quite early as well. I’ve always had a bit of bleeding in early pregnancy (two miscarriages, one that resulted in my son) so think it’s just one of those things that my body does while still figuring out what’s going on in the beginning! Makes it v difficult to judge though (and I know the only real answer is to wait and see but I’m impatient, especially after a miscarriage last cycle 🙈)

@UserL95 thanks! Have just ordered some more FRER tests - away this weekend so going to hold off on testing again until Monday and see where we are then. 🤞

UserL95 · 25/11/2022 07:51

@elarcoiris i see the line!!! Hopefully it gets stronger and stronger for you

im 8dpo today, my bbt dipped below coverline and I had some spotting again with fmu.. so that’s spotting on 5DPO and 8dpo now when usually I have no spotting until AF arrives. It’s getting harder and harder to stay positive. AF due 13DPO.

ChloeN · 25/11/2022 07:42

@elarcoiris i don’t think it’s that faint I didn’t have to zoom in to see it! Are you thinking the bleeding is probably implantation?
