Hey ladies,

Thought I would create a thread for those testing towards the end of Nov/early December.

I'm CD2, TTC first baby. On cycle 5.

fingers crossed for us all!

@Phyrefly I have no idea! I wouldn’t have thought it would still be valid but who knows! I would just retest with a fresh one!

@BCxx I just had my smear, best to get it done before you fall! I think it’ll be safe to get it in the TWW if you can.

Got a smear test letter in today and of course can’t get it done if you’re pregnant.. I opened it like 🤔 of all the times to arrive, when I’m in this limbo of not knowing if I am or not. If not I’m going to have to get an appointment booked asap before I’m back in next month’s limbo again

BCxx · 10/11/2022 23:31

@TickingTui I’m 5dpo! I’ve had so much on it hasn’t dragged yet really. I was planning to wait til Wednesday for a definite answer on a test but il no doubt waste some first responses on Monday and Tuesday like they’re free 🙈how are you feeling?

Phyrefly · 10/11/2022 21:50

So Fertility Friend told me yesterday to test but I resisted. And today still no period, so I thought 'just test' and if it is negative I will know my period is on the way, you know, trying not to get my hopes up. So I fish a pregnancy test from the back of my undies drawer and padded off to the toilet. Not for one moment did I think it was odd that the window of the test was a bit yellow, nor the test line was already visible nor that the test was unwrapped. It took me several more minutes after I pee on it to realise what I am sure you all have already worked out. I used a used HPT this morning!!!!

But the nuttiest thing, on review of the test, I think I can see a partial pink line. Is it possible I turned an old BFN into a tiny wee new positive.
The good new is I do have a unopened, unused test to use tomorrow morning.

@Roxybabe I wouldn't be too worried about your husband going away, there'll still be sperm hanging around if you peak when he's away!

It's difficult trying to fit TTC around the rest of life isn't it?

I've FINALLY gotten a progesterone blood test out of the NHS as I'm worried it's low. I'm getting big ovulation signs though so🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

TickingTui · 10/11/2022 20:33

I'm 1 week down in the TWW! Is anyone else around 7 dpo, or are most people still planning or starting their TWW now? 😊

Roxybabe · 10/11/2022 17:52

@Aprilsunnyday he goes on Monday afternoon and is back Wednesday afternoon so it’s not terrible, it’s just Tuesday we will be missing but knowing my luck that will be peak fertility day!

Fingers crossed for you. 🤞🤞

@Aprilsunnyday fingers crossed its our month. I am now in that horrible TWW to test! X

We are officially Tww buddy 😃
When do you plan to start testing?
I had one occasion where I had symptoms and were more than 50% sure things were happening, when nothing happened. 😕
So I d not want to symptom spotting but maybe can't help it later...😂

Aprilsunnyday · 10/11/2022 14:36

@Roxybabe yep I can understand that feeling, can the trip not moved to a different week?? (well probably you've asked the question already) similar things happened to me in June and I was very very annoyed...

CD10 today, last month I got a positive OPK CD14, but it varies a little each month! So will start DTD from today or tomorrow and see, although I’m a little gutted, just found out hubby is going away with work on Mon- Wed… I bet he’s away when I ovulate!

OP posts:
Bookworm9319 · 10/11/2022 11:22

CD22 for me and 2DPO. Feel like DTD was well timed but not as much as I would like…. Oh well can’t do anything about it now! Feeling really good about ovulating CD20 - last cycle it was CD26 so pleased that they are getting shorter! I’d really love to conceive this cycle as I’m desperate to tell family on Christmas. But we’ll see!

Laul89 · 10/11/2022 10:50

@SoThisIsMyNameNow I was also using the flo app, I’m only in second month of trying and said I wouldn’t use OPKs so soon but curiosity got the better of me as I wanted to see if they matched up! Flo predicted my fertile window was from day 14 to day 20 this month, I tested everyday from day 15 to day 22 and didn’t get a positive OPK! So I either missed it or ovulated earlier than I thought! 🤔 next month (if we aren’t lucky enough to be pregnant this time 🤞🏼) I’m going to start testing from the end of AF!!

SoThisIsMyNameNow · 10/11/2022 09:01

Good morning, I had my first solid smiley face this morning, we had just DTD before hand. I have been using the flo app to track ovulation, and this month started using CB ovulation tests, and their is a 3 day difference. Kicking myself for wasting so much time. So now that I know my ovulation, when should I be DTD?

marleyandme · 10/11/2022 08:45

Tentatively joining currently CD9, roughly due to ovulate on CD15 but I came off the pill 2 months ago and have only had 1 AF since so who knows really. First time trying. I'm terrified 😂 someone tell me it's normal to be scared!

Aprilsunnyday · 10/11/2022 08:43

@Roxybabe thanks for starting the thread :)

Aprilsunnyday · 10/11/2022 08:42

Hi girls, hope you are doing well! and thanks @Knov20 for starting this new thread and I am in sync with you on timing :) opk positive on Tuesday and did it on Sunday and Tuesday and last night. I'd think no more ttc this month, so entering a tww now.... We do really hope this is our month! - we are trying for our first.
Does anyone happen to know what happens to temp after ovulation, and the difference on pregnant, not pregnant scenarios in the tww? - I have low bbt in general and wanted to see if there is anything that can tell 🤔😅!
Anyhow good luck to all of us! x

CreatingLittlePudding · 10/11/2022 08:33

Where is everyone at in the cycles now? I'm CD10 and should be ovulating around d CD12. Hubby got back from a work trip last night so I'm really pleased we didn't miss my peak.

CreatingLittlePudding · 10/11/2022 08:32

@Roxybabe certainly is! I also told my best friend and they had too many pregnancy tests delivered at her work so the staff got to take them and she gave me some for my last cycle, I went to pick them up and she was messaging asking if I was pregnant before I'd even got home 😅 I assumed I'd get pregnant first time as I did with my dd (11 years ago 🤦🏻‍♀️ so should of known it wouldn't be as easy now).

TickingTui · 10/11/2022 01:02

@Roxybabe @BCxx I'm in the same boat! I live in NZ and my parents are in the UK. Since I said I was trying, they've decided to wait til I'm pregnant before booking their next trip so they can come help with no.1 as we greet no.2!...

They don't say it too often, but my Mum can't resist the occasional reminder of how desperate they are to come back to see my 16mth old. But they only waiting because they want to be there to help... She only means it as a way to tell me she feels guilty for not planning another visit - but it inevitable leads into hopeful glances and obv hyper awareness of anything I mention that might give a hint of a positive news. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm so hoping this is my month!

BCxx · 09/11/2022 20:08

@Roxybabe that’s annoying! I haven’t told anyone this time. The only person I told last time was a friend who told me she’d had a miscarriage on month 2 of us trying so I felt like unless I gave her the heads up that I was trying (and might even already be pregnant) then it would just rub salt in the wound when I announced I was pregnant. I messaged her when I was pregnant but I was glad I’d given her a bit of prior warning or I almost felt as if it would look like we were only trying because they were, as daft as that sounds 🤦🏼‍♀️

I feel like everyone’s on high alert for me being pregnant again though now my little one is at that toddler stage where people tend to have another. I could be imagining it but I’m so conscious of what people say or what I say around people because I almost feel like they’re listening out for any clues 🤣 I’m just waiting on my cheeky MIL making a comment. Feel like I need to shoot her down immediately

JuniperandI · 09/11/2022 19:11

@Roxybabe same!
My Mum asks me when I see her. Sometimes as I'm pouring myself a glass of wine... 😑

Roxybabe · 09/11/2022 17:55

@CreatingLittlePudding it’s annoying isn’t it! I wish I didn’t tell anybody we were trying now. I told them when I was naive and assumed I would fall on cycle 1 😂
