Hey ladies,

Thought I would create a thread for those testing towards the end of Nov/early December.

I'm CD2, TTC first baby. On cycle 5.

fingers crossed for us all!

@Roxybabe you have however many hours after the egg has been released too where it’s hanging about, is that not up to 24 as well? Your odds from sperm already being in there will be just as good as having another shot I’m sure

BCxx · 14/11/2022 23:24

@Roxybabe I know I think that’s why people do bbt alongside it but I know I can’t trust myself to start adding another layer of paranoia into the mix so I’ve never let myself get the thermometer 🙈

BCxx · 14/11/2022 23:23

@TickingTui this is what’s been happening with me since coming off the pill, it’s a short luteal phase.. there’s a thread on here for it! Of course there is 😂

Do you always ovulate quite late? If it was to come forward you would be okay probably. I had really heavy periods the last two months so I wondered about the failed implantation thing too. If it’s a short LP progesterone isn’t high enough to stop AF coming so you have no way of getting pregnant that cycle and it’s just clearing it all away whether your body is trying to make a baby or not! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I took maca root and ovulation was earlier this month

Roxybabe · 14/11/2022 23:21

@BCxx thanks, I will assume I ovulate tomorrow! Wish there was a black and white way of knowing!

@Roxybabe in the book I read it seemed to be from the peak and they said really most women are 24 hours, very few are as long as 48

Roxybabe · 14/11/2022 23:12

Heres a question? I’m trying to figure out ovulation day so I know when to test etc, and I got a very dark OPK yesterday (wasn’t quite positive but very close) so I am assuming that is the beginning of the LH surge, then today I got a blazing positive (def my peak) and I suspect tomorrow it’ll be negative or atleast not as dark as todays and the LH levels will start falling.

Do you ovulate 24-48hrs after the beginning of your surge (that would put O day as today) or 24-48 hours after your peak (that would put O day as either tomorrow or Wednesday) ? Different websites say different things. I’m a little OCD and I know deep down it doesn’t really matter as long as you DTD but I like to know these things 😂

@JuniperandI think I’ll be joining you in the tww tomorrow! Got my peak today, and have been feeling mild twinges and cramps on one side. I really don’t enjoy the tww 😩

@Roxybabe thank you!
Will try and hold out til the weekend 🙈 I wish FRER tests weren't so damn expensive!

JuniperandI · 14/11/2022 22:27

Peak early Sunday morning, ovulated Sunday. We've done all we can, 1 DPO today!

Roxybabe · 14/11/2022 22:15

@TickingTui ahh how annoying!!

@peaky297 probably around 10dpo ppl can start getting positives, however, that is still considered early! Good luck!

@Roxybabe I was so hoping it was, as it started as spotting.. but it's gotten so heavy it must be AF...

I wasn't due til 18/11, but spotted on the 13th then full on the next day. It's so weird that it's here so soon 🤔

peaky297 · 14/11/2022 21:45

Hi everyone! Hope I'm OK to join!
First month TTC baby number 2!
Currently in my TWW and overthinking every possible symptom 🙈
What's usually the earlier a FRER would pick anything up? I'm 7 DPO at the moment x

Roxybabe · 14/11/2022 21:16

@TickingTui could it be an implantation bleed at 9dpo?? When was AF due?

@Laul89 I reckon you ovulated earlier, I remember you saying you were testing with no positives! Ahhhh exciting!

Laul89 · 14/11/2022 20:51

@Roxybabe I used my last stick this morning 🙈 I don’t have any more in the house but I’m going shopping tomorrow night so I think I’ll pick up something more sensitive! AF is due Saturday or Sunday! That is true about ovulation.. as I either ovulated earlier than the app predicted or I missed it by only testing once a day! I did have EWCM around that week 🤔

@ChloeN thank you, that’s a good idea! I will have a look tomorrow when I’m at the shops ☺️

TickingTui · 14/11/2022 20:48

@BCxx Sorry it took me a while there! I'm gutted to say AF has arrived... and bizarrely at 9 dpo.

I've been baffled how I could have come early when my LH strip came up strong CD20/21. I wondered was it a false reading but I used 3-4 strips to be sure!

So looks like I'm out for this cycle 😪Has anyone else had earlier periods like this before? I can't figure out what happened and worried I had a failed implantation or something?

ChloeN · 14/11/2022 20:45

@Laul89 i can defo see a line! I would use a clearblue digital ultra early if you can, then there’s no guessing at lines and think they’re super sensitive too! Xx

Roxybabe · 14/11/2022 20:40

@Laul89 thats ok! I hve the worst will power! I would retest tomorrow with fmu! If you don’t know when you ovulated you might be at an appropriate testing stage now anyway!! When is AF due?

OP posts:
Laul89 · 14/11/2022 20:34

@BCxx thank you! Fingers crossed for you too! 🤞🏼 I have been the same, symptom spotting like mad! 🙈 I asked my husband if my boobs looked different the other day and he looked at me like I was crazy 🤪🤣

@Roxybabe thanks 🥰 what I say and what I do are two very different things 🙈 we will see how long I last. I just think if I do it too soon again I’m going to get my hopes up too much and I’m terrified this morning was an indent or evap line.. plus I don’t think I’d settle completely until AF didn’t come.. I’m a terrible overthinker 🥴🤦🏻‍♀️

Roxybabe · 14/11/2022 20:21

@Laul89 thats great restraint! I could not wait! But good luck!!

@BCxx yes hopefully, I mean the last few months we DTD every day and it clearly didn’t work so I think its more about luck anyway! Thats a good sign!! Fingers crossed for you!!

Knov20 · 14/11/2022 20:06

@BabyMamma7 you me and @Aprilsunnyday are testing around the same time. Fingers crossed for us all.

I am having weird tummy cramps but don't really know what it could be. X

BCxx · 14/11/2022 19:45

My boobs are definitely more ‘solid’ feeling (the only way I can describe it) 😂 and when I was pregnant with my son that was the only way I knew before I got a BFP. I don’t get anything like that around AF so it was a giveaway sign, now I have it again tonight. Trying not to read too much into it though 🙈

BCxx · 14/11/2022 19:37

Yeah definitely get a first response @Laul89 ! Looks promising 😬 I have them and the clearblue digital early as I found they were both equally as sensitive last time

BFN for me this morning at 8/9dpo, that’s my FRERs all used up so itl need to be the clearblue tomorrow then if it’s negative on Wednesday I’ll just need to wait.. tests are too expensive to be going through one a day 😂

@Roxybabe exciting! You’ll be fine if you dtd last night then, the odds of conceiving the day of/day before and surrounding days is only like 2% of a difference or something weirdly! Plus the fact you hear all these people getting pregnant first time without even doing opks!

Laul89 · 14/11/2022 19:34

@Roxybabe thanks so much for the advice! I’ve been googling and now got myself worried it’s an indent or evap line however I took the pic within 10mins!
I’m going to wait a few more days and test again with a more sensitive test (this is going to be absolute torture!!!)
Will let you know ☺️🤞🏼

Roxybabe · 14/11/2022 19:29

@Laul89 I wouldn’t know if they are the best but they are the most sensitive! So my thoughts were if the internet cheapie strip is picking up a very faint line a first response would pick up a clearer line! Keep us posted!!

Laul89 · 14/11/2022 18:55

Roxybabe · 14/11/2022 18:05

@Laul89 I can def see a line! If it were me I would be running down the shops to test with a first response! Fingers crossed for you!

Thank you 🥺 I’m so nervous/excited but I don’t want to get my hopes up as the line was so faint 😬 would you say the first response are the best ones to use? I might give it a couple of days and test with one of those! I haven’t even told my husband as I would want it to be a nice surprise when I was definitely
sure if that makes sense 🥺 I don’t think I’d believe it fully till AF didn’t come anyway!

Fingers crossed for you.. at least you managed to DTD over the weekend 🤞🏼✨
