Thought I would create a thread for those testing towards the end of Nov/early December.

fingers crossed for us all!

Hey ladies, sorry I'm only just catching up with the thread!

Is anyone else using the clear blue ovulation kit? Last month I had 1 flashing smiley, then straight to static.... this month I am on my 5th day of flashing 😟 wondering if its ever going to go static!

My flo app said I was due to ovulate on Monday, and I did have some pain which I thought was ovulation pain.. but who knows now!

How many days flashing smiley do you all get? And does it change each month?

Hi everyone,

I’m jointing in! We are ttc for baby #2 - first baby was a bit of a fluke so I’m already feeling the pressure and it’s only cycle 2. I can’t seem to figure out my peak. All of my apps are saying ovulation tomorrow but I had a super dark line on a cheaply opk Tuesday night and had severe ovulation pain yesterday with some v light cramping today. My opk this morning was lighter for sure but I’ve reached a new level of worry and is I took it around the house checking it under different lights!! I’m really glad to have a place to come to talk about it - fingers crossed for us all!

CreatingLittlePudding · 16/11/2022 08:31

Hey everyone! I'm 4dpo today, does anyone feel like the tww goes so fast yet so slow at the same time, one minute I'm like "wow 4dpo already!" And the next I feel like I've still got so long to go lol, I'm testing from 8dpo this cycle so I've only got another 4 days to wait!

Kayycatt · 16/11/2022 08:07

@Tbark thanks 😊

I use easy@home OPK for the first time this month, it seems to have worked and pinpointed my peak even though I only tested once a day. It's cheaper and seems to work well.

I also have the Clear Blue OPK, I use it to confirm this months ovulation when I had the peak with easy@home.

CB OPK is a lot more expensive, so I only use it to confirm ovulation rather than testing every day with it.

Tbark · 16/11/2022 07:38

Welcome to @Aixenprov and @Kayycatt!!

Ah I'm glad that we're on a similar schedule @Roxybabe and @JuniperandI. I honestly find this platform so supportive and it's also really lovely and reassuring to see others get their BFP.

Just because I'm already feeling like this month isn't gonna be our month (I'm not sure why but I don't feel too down about it like previous months!) I may look into OPKs. I didn't want to go down that route but it would be good to check if tge ovulation dates I get from bbt are accurate. Does anyone have any recommendations of what ones to get....there's so many on amazon!!!

Kayycatt · 16/11/2022 01:22

Hi would love to join this thread if it's ok. Ovulated yesterday, so will test in two weeks time. Fingers crossed for us all xx

Aixenprov · 15/11/2022 22:48

Hello all! TTC baby #2. Cycle 2, due AF this Sunday. Cycles have been 35/36 days since I had covid back in the summer which makes it hard to know when to test with early tests. So this week I'm just waiting until Sunday!

Roxybabe · 15/11/2022 22:39

@tbark I think I’m ovulating today as I have been a little crampy so will be 1DPO tomorrow, just slightly behind you!

@Soda123x sorry to hear AF arrived! Fingers crossed for the next cycle!

@AliceD7 I just got my results back from my smear last week, all negative which was a relief and so glad I got it done before BFP as that would worry me. I’ll be due on around the 27th. Fingers crossed for us all!!

JuniperandI · 15/11/2022 22:28

@Tbark I'm 2 DPO! Had a few normal PMS-y symptoms but it's too early in my cycle for them to be PMS. Probably just my hormones doing their thing post O.

Tbark · 15/11/2022 22:00

Congrats to all the ladies on here that have had their positives so far. I hope it's lucky for lots more too!!

I'm on 2DPO according to bbt and CM (cycle 6!) And just wondered if there was anyone else on here that is on a similar stage of their cycle? I'm promised this is the month that I will not symptom spotting......let's see how that goes hahah xx

Laul89 · 15/11/2022 21:25

@AliceD7 fingers crossed for you! At least you got your smear done and out of the way! 👏🏼

@Soda123x yep positive thoughts.. onto the next cycle 🤞🏼💪🏼

Laul89 · 15/11/2022 21:22

@BCxx yeah I think the GP will just say your body needs a chance to settle after being on the pill! 🤔 but I agree with @Roxybabe I have read things about people saying that pregnacare can mess with their cycles! Worth a try of not taking it and see what you think.

I have been taking folic acid since July.. wasn’t sure what else I needed to take but have bought some vitamin D tonight.. I feel
guilty, is there anything else I should be taking?! 😳

Roxybabe · 15/11/2022 21:18

@BCxx what pregnacare you taking? I found when I was taking pregnacare conception it shortened my cycle and my LP was 11 days, then I ditched it and my last LP was 14 days - who knows if it was that but I have read it can mess with your cycle.

Soda123x · 15/11/2022 21:14

After my post earlier AF has now arrived ... I never have spotting before coming on... but yet trust the month we start trying again to get it 🙈
NVM here it goes for cycle #2 🤞 xx

BCxx · 15/11/2022 20:20

@JuniperandI @Laul89 @Roxybabe thanks ladies.. I haven’t spoken to my doctor yet, this is now the start of cycle number 4 but I only came off the pill in August. I think my GP would probably just say I’ve to give it 6 months off the pill first would they not? So frustrating when it happens every month and you kind of know it will.

ive been taking vitamin C, pregnacare, took maca root to bring ovulation forward which seemed to help but still only got to 9dpo 🙄 I’m thinking I’ll ditch the pregnacare this month on the off chance it’s hindering my chances. Going to get B6 and folic acid on its own to try and see if that does anything. We conceived on cycle number 3 last time so I was kind of relying on the fact it would happen within 3 months again but here we are going into cycle 4 🙄

AliceD7 · 15/11/2022 17:46

Hello ladies! I haven’t posted in this thread for a while but just been catching up. I’m now back on the TWW but had a smear today as my doctor said it was all okay to do so! AF is due 25th, here’s to hoping she does not rear her ugly head again this month 😩

Fingers crossed there’s lots more positive tests on this post! Big hugs to everybody with negative tests, it’s so heartbreaking ❤️

JuniperandI · 15/11/2022 14:50

@Roxybabe 23rd for me. 9 day LP 😑

Roxybabe · 15/11/2022 14:38

@BCxx ahh sorry to hear AF arrived! There is a thread on here called ‘short luteal phase’ and the girls on there have recommended certain supplements that have helped (high dose vitamin b6 and vitamin C and other things) and I have read that some girls have concieved easily with a shorter LP so dw too much!! You should check it out! But def speak with your dr if you are worried!!

@JuniperandI i’m due around the 27th Nov according to my apps! What about you!

@Laul89 cramping can be an early pregnancy sign too! So dw too much! Thats the thing that is so annoying about the TWW… the symptoms are too similar!

Bookworm9319 · 15/11/2022 14:16

Hugs to the ladies who are out… I find AF arriving easier than the TWW but the disappointment is so hard. Take care of yourselves! I tested this morning at 7DPO…. Why I didn’t know lol but it was obvs blazing negative. Was just an IC but the easy @ home ones claim to pick up at 10 miu same as FRER… I’m skeptical! Have picked up some FRERs but will hold off using them til 10DPO.

Laul89 · 15/11/2022 08:08

@BCxx oh no 😥 sorry to hear that! Definitely might be worth a chat to the GP if you haven’t already! Sending love! x

JuniperandI · 15/11/2022 08:03

@Roxybabe cycle buddies! When would AF be due for you?
@BCxx I've got a short LP too, 9 or 10 days. Have you spoken with your doctor about it? Mine have offered me a blood test for check for progesterone to see if I've actually ovulated (this will happen in December) and we'll go from there.

BCxx · 15/11/2022 07:39

I think AF has just arrived 😭 it’s cd27 so was expecting it tomorrow but only 9/10dpo so the short luteal phase thing doesn’t seem to have improved much this month either. If this continues I don’t know if it’s actually possible for me to conceive if it’s going to just keep happening 😔

Laul89 · 15/11/2022 07:36

@Roxybabe fingers crossed for your egg to still be hanging around but if not it sounds like you’ve given it a good shot! 🤞🏼

I woke up feeling heavy and crampy this morning.. starting to think is this AF on her way.. 🥴 ordered some FRERs on Amazon last night which will come today but have read many mixed reviews?! Almost feel scared to test again and part of me wants to wait until Saturday to see it AF shows up but it’s just so far away. I hate the second guessing I don’t do well with not being in control 🙄🤣

Soda123x · 15/11/2022 07:14

Hi everyone.
TMI I thought I was out for this month lastnight as when I wiped 8pmish after the toilet there was a hint of light pink... thought AF was on the way .... nothing since .... I think I am 9DPO today so now starting to think this may have been implantation bleed ?
Not going to test until at least weekend at the earliest if AF still not arrived.
🤞 for everyone still in the TWW.
Sorry to the others who are out this month. But deffo look forward to enjoying Xmas drinks and trying again next time xx

Roxybabe · 14/11/2022 23:31

@BCxx yes the egg hangs can hang around for 12-24 hours is what I have read. I’m hoping the egg is still chilling there for when hubby gets back but I think it’ll be too late tbh!
That is the benefit of BBTing!! I used to do it but I stopped because I hated seeing my temp drop, then I knew I was out and it put me in a bad mood, not a great start to your day. Although I have been BBTing just these last few days and will check the next few days to see if I can catch a temp rise (although I know thats not how you are supposed to do it) but I kinda know what my normal temps are from before so no harm I guess!
