Hey,

It's my second cycle if ivf, I'm on Bemfola 225 iu and it's day 4 of my cycle. Last time I was on Gonal F 150iu. Was wondering if it will produce more eggs now.

Just wanted to ask anyones dosage, the name of their ivf medication and the egg result, home many were retrieved?

@Hyppyb Its always nice to have someone who knows exactly what your going through, to feel the pain and happiness at the same times :). I would say the strip lines are definately darker than day 4, that's clear on both photos. There is no way you will be sleeping tonight, you be taking a test at 3am lol. Ill be annoyed for you if this turns out to be the trigger! Surely it cant still be in your system now!
This will prove that regardless of the grades, if its a healthy embryo and your body is willing to accept it then it will stick. This gives me so much hope. I do understand why your being skeptical but I honestly think its looking positive. There is no other reason why it would be showing darker today. Are you actually going to wait until the morning to test again or will you do it later? I was doing it about 4 times a day, I was obsessed by it lol.
My clinic has never mentioned baby aspirin but I did used to take it some years ago when I first started trying as I read it helps. When I went private for some test they commented my lining was thin (It was at the start of my period mind) and that's always stuck with me and I'm convinced this is why my periods are so light, however, since I've started IVF my lining has always been where it should be. I'm hoping its a little thicker this time, this is just to give me frame of mind that the additional dosage has done something. Providing all goes well with the scan, transfer should be next Thursday, that is day 19 but you did say they have until day 21 to transfer? Is the 21 day purely due to lining thickness or something else? I'm always concerned that they will be fully booked and unable to fit me in.

Hyppyb · 03/07/2023 14:10

@SH998 Aww that's sweet. 😊 it does feel better having someone who knows EXACTLY what you're going through, how hard it is. I'm really hoping we both have healthy pregnancies and babies soon. 🤞

So you can see 5dpt is darker than 4pt too? That's a good sign. Sometimes we squint and see lines when they're not really there 😆 the plastic test is rubbish, it's a mid stream, the best test for sure is the ultra early first response, it picks up 6miu I've had that test with all my other attempts but they're quite expensive so thought I'd try something different.

I had a cycle day 19 transfer, with a 4CB embryo one of the lowest grades, no implantation cramps or pain whatsoever (did last time). I've had the lightest twinges in my hips but wouldn't notice if not looking out for it and I'm pretty sure that's the meds as I had it a lot stronger my last FET.

I'm really skeptical and in a bit of denial that I am pregnant. So the next few days I will see. If it is the trigger that's so annoying as its so strong, some clinics say you can test 11 days from trigger as 10 days it should be gone. Plus early pregnancy tests encourage you to test 5 days before a period. For me that's now. I have a clear blue weeks indicator which will clearly say I'm pregnant now. So will see. It might be light tomorrow. Hope not.

I'm sure the baby asprin you didn't get too late, one cycle the doc told me to start taking it at day 10 onwards. So it works quickly. Good to hear your lining naturally thickens. So your transfer may be end of next week?

@Hyppyb I woke and thought of you, I wanted to message first to see how you were getting on but you beat me too it :). The 5 day strip is definately darker than the 4 day, I cant see so much on the plastic tests but the strips are clearly darker. This is great news, lets hope it continues to get darker. I bet you cant wait to go to bed so your able to wake and test the following morning, that's what I used to be like lol.
So you had the transfer on day 19 with I think you said a 4c (I've tried reading through to check but so many messages I cant find it) and you've had next to no symptoms not even implantation pains? This is really good to know for when its my turn.
Each pregnancy/transfer is different so even though I'm now making notes, I cant really compare on past experience or anyone else's experiences as all differs.
I'm good thanks, counting down the days until Thursday where I hope my lining will be as it should. I've always been lucky with the lining and its always been as it should on the day of the scans and that was on just 4mg a day so I should be fine this time due to the increased dosage.
I've been taking baby aspirin since the day after my eostrogen started as didn't get the aspirin in time, whether this will be enough time I'm not sure. No symptoms really, to be honest I've always been pretty symptom free each time even during the stims I was OK. I will follow suit and do a 20 minute walk after the transfer this time, it cant hurt can it.

Hyppyb · 03/07/2023 06:56

@SH998 if I am pregnant, the only things I’ve done differently compared to my last FET is consistently taking the baby aspirin at 10pm at night, my diet I’ve not had really any added sugar, mostly protein, nuts, cheese, I also went for a walk straight after the transfer for 20mins. Saying all that as we know a lot is down to the normality of the embryo, not sure if there is a lot we can do. I know many women have acupuncture to relax them and get the blood flowing but aspirin does that too.

@SH998 Update 5DPT and 11 days past trigger - so I woke up really early today, busting to pee, probably anxious just to know if I am. I've tested positive. Could still be the trigger or the line holding on because the real HCG has been introduced. If you have a look you can see on the strips the 5A (5DPT am) there's a faint line, but I just looked and it's got darker all of a sudden, I took another photo of the strips, I feel like it's a really strong line, stronger than 4DPT, the same as 3DPT. If its the trigger its just staying in my body for a really long time.

I watched a video again on a single mum by choice YouTuber, same thing happened to her, she had a natural FET, at 5DPT she was 10 days past trigger and the line was the same as 4DPT so she wasn't sure and the 6DPT it was darker so she knew then. I'm definitely cautious. It's nice that there's still a line but I won't believe it only if it darkens.

So the clinic said they will call me to check up on me like they did last FET. I'm in the office at work this morning so will ignore if they call then. There isn't any substantial symptoms to report to them. Out of all my IUIs and transfers this one has been my least symptoms for sure.

Hope you are well. Any eostrogen symptoms? You might be on progesterone end of this week. Hoping your lining is thick enough.

@SH998 * they tell you 10 days past transfer, some 14 days.

OP posts:
Hyppyb · 02/07/2023 10:49

@SH998 Exactly, that's why testing the trigger out is best for me, they tell you not to to wait to test after 10 days past trigger but if I didnt and then got curious tested today (when last time today was a true positive) I'd be like am I pregnant am I not. 🤣

Last BFP the photo I've added below, I made the contrast darker to see it and you can see 1dpt to 3dpt negative or very faint but 4pdt onwards a true positive. Be nice if it was as clear this time as it was last time.

Yeah you won't have to worry about this although you never know, remember I started off with just a medicated FET, wasn't going to have a trigger but my misbehaving dominant follicle grew to 18mm. Never know.

@Hyppyb at least it’s very faint, hopefully it will be clear tomorrow and start to get darker thereafter.
its a right pain mind as this would give me false hope, at least I wouldn’t have to worry about that this time around.

Hyppyb · 02/07/2023 10:06

@SH998 Update - 4DPT, 10 days past trigger. I'm still positive. It's faded. Last pregnancy (with trigger as fresh transfer) I had a faint line at 4DPT which was a true positive as I had 2 days negative prior. So if tomorrow and Tuesday get darker that would be great, if it gets fainter I guess there's still hope.

@Hyppyb tell me about it, the process is waiting at every step of the way, and jeez it does drag too lol 😂
AMH of 14.9 is great for our age, I was AMH 15 a few years ago when initially tested but I haven’t been tested since so I assume mine would be a lot less now which is worrying.
Have you tested the trigger again this morning? It’s so annoying if it’s still positive and you planned on testing tomorrow.
Count down is on to my 12 day scan, believe me I wouldn’t be chilled at 3dp transfer 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hyppyb · 01/07/2023 14:10

@SH998 This early pregnancy symptoms are pretty rare but implantation symptoms aren't. 30% of women have them. I certainly did. I've seen women who went on to have healthy pregnancies describe them exactly how it was in my experience, sharp stabbing in the womb the embryo burrowing into the womb lining, mine was at 2dpt to 4dpt. Some it's shorter or longer. Saying all that every pregnancy is different. So I do know know not cramping is normal too.

As you know the majority of fertility treatment is waiting. Waiting for your period, waiting to inject, waiting for the eggs to get bigger, waiting for scans, waiting for your womb to thicken, waiting for the transfer, waiting for 10 days to test (not that I ever do test sooner). So yeah that's how it goes.

Thanks I will. I feel I will know 5dpt so Monday. Could be later I guess and if I'm not I've decided I will use my remaining embryo in August. My AMH was 14.9 over the 10 the sister clinic required last October so I feel like I still have time in me. No ones mentioned donor eggs so that's a good thing.

Take it easy too. 😊 before you know it you'll be where I am at 3dpt. Probably a lot chilled than me.

SH998 · 01/07/2023 10:02

@Hyppyb it is extremely early to get symptoms. On my BFP I didn’t get any at all until after 7dpt when I tested positive. Maybe the twinges were so harsh last time as it was an etopic. Keep thinking them positive thoughts and try not to compare to the last BFP.
I can’t help with the trigger info as I didn’t test it out of my system. I’m sure I’ve read it can be in your system for 11/12 days after the shot.
Im now on 6mg for 5 days then increase to 8mg. I’m hoping this helps the little bean stick. Not really had any effects from the meds, I did feel a little sicky one morning but that is sometimes normal for me until I’ve eaten lol 😂.
The transfers are the easiest part of it all I feel, literally 5 minutes and it’s over, I’m still amazed every time watching it on screen. My partners grown used to it too, I actually thought he was going to faint the first time 🤦🏼‍♀️.
Keep your feet up and chill this weekend, hopefully you will get some positive news soon 🤞🏼

Hyppyb · 01/07/2023 09:33

@SH998 So I'm 3 days past transfer and 9 days past trigger. The pregnancy test today there are 2 significant lines. Its lightened over the days but still a second strong line. The trigger is really strong to not be getting a fainter line / negative now. I compared it to the last time I had a trigger, my BFP FET and I had a negative 9 days post trigger for 2 days before the HCG returned.

This time post FET I've had no symptoms. I've had the lightest twinges in my left side, but wouldn't notice if not looking out for it. Last medicated FET I had full on cramps and twinges in my hips, like a period 1dpt to 3 dpt but it was nothing like my BFP sharp stabbing pains, so clearly the medication.I would say no signs of pregnancy. Of course some women have no symptoms this early. So waiting game. I'm 50/50. A little hope this early is a good thing. Below is a poll that shows most women get a positive at 5dpt, followed my 4dpt. So pretty early.

I started when covid restrictions were in place so partners couldn't come but now my clinic allows partners at scans for sure. I quite enjoy the ransfer, I like being sedated, I find it fascinating. 😂 So Thursday's your first scan. Be nice if you only need one scan. How's the eostrogen pills? Any symptoms? Your dosage is only 4mg a day? Mine is 6mg. FETs are less stressful, they're pretty much the same as my IUIs.

@Hyppyb how are you feeling? Any signs? As you say it’s difficult to tell the difference between the meds and pregnancy symptoms.
Im feeling ok at the moment, I’m sure the nerves will kick in nearer the scan on Thursday. My partner comes to the transfers although I could do it alone, that’s the easy part of it all. They are quite strict and expect partners to attend the transfers. I do the scans alone as he’s not allowed in the room so seems pointless taking time off work to sit in the waiting room.

Hyppyb · 29/06/2023 11:33

@SH998 food wise I've been eating really healthily, but I did buy Baileys Colada, if I'm pregnant of course that's in the cupboard until mid March but if I'm not pregnant that will be my consolation prize. Never tried it before. I've not had alcohol since January.

**last time 2dpt and 3dpt no line, 1dpt barely a line, this time 1dpt very strong dark line.

Hyppyb · 29/06/2023 11:25

@SH998 it is truly amazing how our embryos have been created. We are lucky to be born in a time that we get this kind of assistance in creating life for sure. 😊

I'm feeling fine. Not had any symptoms, usually the eostrogen pills kick in but so far so good. I tested this morning, 7 days past trigger and the test is still really dark, last time this day I tested much lighter, so it's taking some time for the trigger to go. 2 and 3 days past embryo there was line last time but I'm 1 day past and it's so dark. I think this means either if I'm not pregnant it will fade and go, if I am pregnant the line won't go, it will fade a little then get darker. Sometimes the line never goes.

Last time got pregnant it was different because it was a fresh transfer so I didn't have eostrogen pills so no side effects from that which made it clear to spot pregnancy symptoms. Yes I knew I was pregnant before my BFP. I had implantation cramping, 2 days past transfer, sharp pains, like a little woodpecker in my womb, I walked to work hunchback, lasted 2 days. That's how I knew.

How are you feeling? Getting excited? Or anxious? Does your partner come to the scans and transfers? I always see partners in the tiny waiting room. What I like about the clinic is there is no judgement unlike the nhs where I've had a doc say really un PC things about being single and TTC. Hope you are taking it easy.

SH998 · 28/06/2023 18:40

@Hyppyb oh wow that’s great :). It’s amazing that the little bean was conceived in a little dish and now in your tummy ready to begin it’s life with you 🙏🏻🤞🏼, it really is amazing how it all works.
How are you feeling? Was the trigger line still showing last night? So you will start testing on day 5 or sooner? When did you start getting symptoms/feelings on your last positive? Did you know before testing it would be positive?
I don’t recall anything before testing (again wish I had made a note as it’s a year ago now). I can remember once I had tested maybe day 8 or so the whole night my stomach felt strange, not pulling just a weird feeling I’ve never experienced before but nothing before the test.

Hyppyb · 28/06/2023 14:38

@SH998 Aww thank you. 😊 It went well. One of the doctors said it went perfectly, couldn't have gone better, I think she said the embryo was released at 1.5mm which is the best area. She showed me in the scan. You can see the catheter and the dark area on the right side is one of my fibroids.

So I am PUPO, pregnant until proven otherwise. I think I will know by Monday. Will test tomorrow morning to see how dark the pregnancy test is still.

Only a few days to go for your scan. Hope it's thick enough by then and your eggs are behaving.

@Hyppyb all the best for today, I have everything crossed for you :)

SH998 · 27/06/2023 21:05

@Hyppyb at the moment it’s not even entering my head about hitting that 8 week milestone that I didn’t meet last time, I’m just hoping to get pregnant, every milestone after that will be a bonus and dealt with at the time. For you, your obviously going to be far more cautious due to the ectopic and seriousness of it. It is hard not to compare in that situation. The first I knew something was wrong was when symptoms practically disappeared overnight a few days before the 8 week scan.
Your being very sensible about all this and thinking with your head instead of your heart. I have a big mouth and wouldn’t be able to stay as quiet as you lol. Your doing the right thing as Chinese whispers often grow into untruths, that’s the last thing you want a child to hear and especially from someone other than it’s mother, just make sure you have someone to talk to should it get to much or you just need to vent.
This will be my 4th transfer too, let’s hope it’s a successful one for us both and we get our rainbow babies 🌈.
Would be amazing if we could go through this journey together.
Wishing you all the best for tomorrow. Good luck and please keep me updated x

Hyppyb · 27/06/2023 18:34

@SH998 Happy to hear you have started your cycle and have started your meds and baby asprin. Day 11 and 12 are good days to have your scan, my clinic I feel scans too early at day 10, it's never thick enough. I definitely see all these coincidences as being a good thing. Thinking it's not will only taint your experience. I get it. I feel like after a pregnancy loss there's a huge cloud over your head. I constantly think about 5 and a half weeks, will I get pass that in another pregnancy. That was when i had serious cramping. Also it was life threatening and to risk that again. Obviously trying to think positively.

I'm the only one apart from my clinic and online that knows I'm conceiving via ivf and a sperm bank. The reason why is the only person I trust to speak to my potential child about this stuff is myself, I want to be the one to discuss that they're donor conceived. Friends know I'm trying to conceive but that's it. I know what people are like they will make stuff up. Mindy Kaling said until she can have a conversation with her children about their parentage, then she's not telling anyone and its for her kids to share if they want
I totally agree with that. Conception is such a personal thing between a parent and child, no one else has a right to know anything. People can be so entitled and arrogant to think it's their business. My plan is to read donor conceived books and a book I will write myself from an early age to my kid so they always know.

My transfer is 10.45am, need to get there at 10am. I booked the day off. As you say it's same old. I know exactly what goes down. It's my 8th attempt of pregnancy and my 4th FET. I feel like I will know by day 5 or 6 post transfer if I am pregnant.

Will update. Fingers crossed we get our rainbow babies this time round.

@Hyppyb and I’ve started the baby aspirin

SH998 · 27/06/2023 16:28

@Hyppyb sorry forgot to mention, yes a grade B this time. I think it’s a 5B which was the same as when I miscarried. Also transfer dates will be within a day or so of that transfer date as my period arrived early … I’m hoping that all these are positive signs it will work this time x

SH998 · 27/06/2023 16:26

@Hyppyb hey that’s great news, 2 embryos left of average quality is pretty awesome. My embryologist advised also an A is really good, B is good and C was average but as you said a lot of sites state C is of poor quality which it isn’t. Most sites say different things so it’s hard to know which is correct.
Please continue to keep me updated on your findings, a lot of the things you’ve told me isnt always easy to find online and a lot of information is conflicting. Now I just go via yourself, your my own little google lol :)
What time is your transfer tomorrow? You said you’re taking the rest of the day off didn’t you? I’ll be doing the same although I don’t think it makes much difference. Are you taking a friend or going alone? To be fair the transfer is second nature to us both now it’s happened that many times, I could do it with my eyes closed lol 😂
Well my period started 1 day early on Sunday so on third day of progynova, dosage will increase to 3 a day on day 6. My scan is booked for 6th July which I think is 11/12 days after period start date so wouldn't know much until then I guess. I’m feeling OK at the moment but it’s still early days for me. I normally feel quite fat so a little bloating wouldn’t be noticed over here lol x
