Hey,

It's my second cycle if ivf, I'm on Bemfola 225 iu and it's day 4 of my cycle. Last time I was on Gonal F 150iu. Was wondering if it will produce more eggs now.

Just wanted to ask anyones dosage, the name of their ivf medication and the egg result, home many were retrieved?

@SH998 sorry to hear your prior 8 week viability scan didn't end well. So hope this time it all ends well for you. Yesterday out of nowhere I had really bad bloating, cramping, gas, luckily working from home. It was a lot, it eased off in the evening but it left wind trapped in hip, I was like a hunchback, it's still there 24 hours later. They say women who have loads of pregnancy symptoms is a good sign. Not sure how true that is. Day by day.

@Hyppybthank you, it couldn’t have gone better they said so fingers crossed my body reacts in the way it should and holds onto this one.
I was terrible last time, I tested 5dp5dt and had a very faint positive which continued to get darker, I’ll say now I wouldn’t test before the recommended 14 days but I know I will. I have to calm it this time though, I was so shocked to be pregnant I was testing up until the day of my 8 week viability scan which didn’t end well so completely gave me a false sense of security. I wouldn’t be testing last day 14 this time.
Glad your feeling ok, I didn’t have many symptoms either apart from extreme tiredness, I’m sure the further along you get the more symptoms you will have x

Hyppyb · 28/11/2022 19:17

@SH998 I'm happy to hear your transfer went well. 😊 Wow 100% expanded? That sounds really positive. It's all done now so best to take it easy. Got my fingers crossed for you. Are you going to test before the two week? On 7dp5dt I was like that's so a positive. Before that the lines were faint. See guide I kept following.

I'm good. I'm still testing on the cheapies and the hcg continues to rise. Will stop next week. I have a work Xmas lunch soon, most starters I can't have like duck in cognac, loads of deli meats, I'm having a soup that I don't want. It's great not having my period they're pretty heavy. No symptoms apart from the sore boots from time to time.

@Hyppyb the transfer took place this afternoon, the embryo had expanded to 100% (they were looking for 70%) so couldn’t have gone better. I do feel a lot more chilled this time but ask me in 2 weeks if I’m still that chilled lol 😂
How you feeling? X

RoseMartha · 27/11/2022 19:05

I cant remember what meds i had as was abt 20 years ago, but round one, 4 eggs and round two 2 eggs. Neither successful

Hyppyb · 27/11/2022 19:00

It's so weird I'm so chilled and calm. Deep down I am worried about the scan but it's manageable nerves.

@KM1991 you had a really successful cycle, your AMH is so good. I did mild ivf so only 9 days of injections still have the marks on my tummy.

Hyppyb · 27/11/2022 18:56

@SH998 please do try and relax, believe me I know, my prior transfer before this one I was soooo nervous because it was just one embryo and not a blastocyst (day 3) and i was shaking. Let us know how you get on. I didn't do any exercise, didn't eat Mcdonald fries, I just believes in the 4BB embryo 😊

Just noticed your BFP too! Congratulation Your viability scan is two days after me. Good luck!
hope you’re managing to be slightly more relaxed than I’m being! X

KM1991 · 27/11/2022 18:21

Hey

I had EC on 31st October,

17 eggs retrieved
15 fertilised
1 fresh transfer - BFP
4 frozen embryos

that was on long protocol so 28days of buserelin and the stims was 150iu I think for 10 days total. AMH 26.3

SH998 · 27/11/2022 17:58

@Hyppyb the transfer is booked for tomorrow, I’ve been calm up until now but starting to panic incase something goes wrong, I can tell I wouldn’t be sleeping tonight.
Hope all goes well with the viability scan, keep us updated x

Hyppyb · 26/11/2022 11:34

@SH998 Thank you 😊 I have my viability 6 weeks scan on the 8th December. Trying to remain chilled. I have to take the pessaries another 8 weeks. So yeah all seems OK.

I hope your frozen embryo transfer is successful too.

Depends on the AMH you're working with.

Hyppyb · 24/11/2022 11:08

@megosaurusrex the low dosage clearly worked for you. Thank you 😁 Still in shock been trying for a year 5 failed attempts of IUIs and a ivf transfer. Will sink in.

And congratulations OP! Smile

megosaurusrex · 23/11/2022 21:27

I did a round of mild IVF. I was on 150mg Bemfola. Had 8 eggs retrieved, 3 eggs fertilized, 2 became viable embryos. One embryo was transferred at day 3 (who is now DS Smile) and the other embryo was put in storage at day 5, will be used for a FET in the future.

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 23/11/2022 21:20

Ah just seen that it worked - missed that earlier!!! Congratulations to you, lovely news :)

Hyppyb · 23/11/2022 14:37

@Talkwhilstyouwalk a higher dose worked better for me, gave meggs that were bigger quicker, more in quantity and embryos that made it to day 5. Lower dose only made one embryo that was a day 3 i ended up with and it failed. But thats just my experience. Everyone will be different.

Grade B? The embryo I'm pregnant with is a grade B. Its a 5 day blastocyst 4BB which they say is average but the percentage of success is really high. I heard grading an embryo as AA isn't done hat often. See the guide I've been looking at.

I would say try to be positive and as relaxed as you can. I'd say my last transfer was the most relaxed I ever have been. Got mu fingers crossed.

Aww thank you. It's a big step but one I chose like 5 years ago so well thought out and researched. My mum was a single parent so I know she would get it. I just knew if I didn't do this or try I would regret it. So now I can say no regrets.

Honesty, it really varies from cycle to cycle. Higher dose doesn't necessarily mean more eggs. What you really need is a few decent quality ones.

SH998 · 23/11/2022 12:37

@Hyppyb a massive happy 4 weeks to you :) :)
I know how stressful it can be, a few years back me and my partner split so I was all geared up to do it alone going as far as telling the clinic and looking at donor sites. We did get back together which held up the process as we needed a 'cooling down' period to prove we were OK again. I take my hat off to you for doing it alone, its such a brave decision to make and you should be proud of yourself for not being fazed and doing all you can to achieve your dream. I'm sure if your mum was here she would be extremely proud of you :)
They were looking at 7 minimum in my clinic so was happy with that result. I stressed enough from my first transfer waiting for the calls from the embryologist every other day so I'm probably going to be another mental case this time around. I'm praying all will be fine, the embryologist said last time around it was a good one, a grade B, I'm not sure what that is, googled it a few times but a lot quote numbers so I'm none the wiser.
Keep your friends close by, they will be a godsend in a few months when the sleepless nights start :)

Hyppyb · 23/11/2022 11:55

@SH998 8.4 at this stage is very good will only get thicker as you say. I was the same with the FET, worried about the one and only embryo not surviving the defrosting. The embryologist said they would call me the morning of the FET if it didnt survive, then on the day there was the clinic ringing I was like oh no, it was just a nurse telling me to come in early. So stressful. My fresh transfer was so different, I was so chilled because I knew i had so many other embryos. Hope it all goes well for you when you get to there.

I fell asleep watching a movie on Friday so could be a symptom! 😁 Just achey breasta for now. Cramps have stopped.

So I'm a single mum by choice even though I wouldnt say I'm single by choice, I would have loved to do this with a partner. I know I'm more than capable of doing this alone. My mum died 8 years ago, I don't have siblings, so that was a real push to do this. I've told 2 friends about the positive test and got to call the clinic of Friday. I do have cousins but don't really see them everyone is so busy so will tell them eventually.

I'm 4 weeks exactly today. ☺️
