Hey,

It's my second cycle if ivf, I'm on Bemfola 225 iu and it's day 4 of my cycle. Last time I was on Gonal F 150iu. Was wondering if it will produce more eggs now.

Just wanted to ask anyones dosage, the name of their ivf medication and the egg result, home many were retrieved?

@Hyppyb glad to hear your keeping yourself busy, I bet work is a busy place with all the upcoming changes your facing. Hope that isn't stressing you out too much though.

I'm OK thanks, pretty much symptomless which is freaking me out. My official clinic scan is not for another 2 weeks so I booked an early on which is Friday. I'm bricking it already. You know first hand the worry never goes away :(

Hyppyb · 08/08/2023 14:12

@SH998 im doing the best I can, it’s really important that I don’t put all my focus and energy and day to day thoughts into the whole pregnancy stuff as when miscarriages happen it can be quite damaging to someones emotional health as you’re very aware of. So it’s important that I don’t keep talking and thinking about all this.

How are you? Have you got your scan booked?

@Hyppyb just checking in, hoping your OK and keeping yourself busy :)

SH998 · 03/08/2023 13:08

@Hyppyb that's good to hear, trying to keep your mind busy is so important in these times. I was going to say take some nice long walks but you would need to take your wellies too with this terrible weather :)

Hyppyb · 03/08/2023 12:56

@SH998 I'm just focusing on other things now so that's really helped. Thanks for asking 😊 happy to hear everything is going OK with you.

@Hyppyb Hey, glad to hear from you, I've been thinking of you. Silly question I know but how are you?

I'm OK thanks :)

Hyppyb · 03/08/2023 11:45

@SH998 hey just wanted to check in on you. Hope everything is going OK for you

@SH998 thank you. I am human and I just need to grieve or feel with time and for me that's distracting myself with other things than the actual thing.

SH998 · 23/07/2023 17:04

@Hyppyb i know it’s absolutely heartbreaking, I wouldn’t say anymore as I know how I felt when it happened to me.

Take care of yourself and good luck on your future transfer. I’m here if you need to vent.

Hyppyb · 23/07/2023 12:32

@SH998 clexane is a blood thinner.

It's all been quite upsetting so I'm going to try not to think or focus on all this until I have to.

As long as the lines are darker it sounds OK.

OP posts:
SH998 · 23/07/2023 09:38

@Hyppyb well that’s a positive going forward, hopefully you can throw everything at the next transfer and it will be the successful outdone you hope.

What is Clexane? Is that another form of progesterone.

Im ok thanks, a little spotting each morning so I’ve messaged the clinic to see if they will do a progesterone blood test to check all is OK. It’s mainly in the mornings so not sure if there’s any significance to that. Also still no symptoms but the test is still getting darker. I feel completely normal.

Hyppyb · 23/07/2023 09:27

@SH998 I'm still miscarrying. Had follow up, was told the nurses were thrilled and then upset about what happened. That they agree about taking all the meds I can to ensure my womb is at the best for next transfer not that it will help an abnormal embryo. So that's clexane, maybe lubion. Waiting to speak to main clinic.

How are you?

SH998 · 22/07/2023 12:16

@Hyppyb how are you feeling today?

Hyppyb · 20/07/2023 12:04

@SH998 yeah I think it could have been my patient co ordinator over thinking and making dumb assumptions.

Well whilst I'm in the middle of miscarrying my second child I rather try not to stress myself out by thinking about my age and that it could hinder myself having a child one day. So my thought pattern is very different to that.

Hope your lines continue to darken. Before you know it hopefully you'll be having your 8 week scan.

SH998 · 20/07/2023 10:46

@Hyppyb cancelling a scan does not mean you want the follow up cancelled, as you say the follow up is to discuss the next steps. You would need that more now than ever! Honestly don't understand how some people think. At least you have an appointment booked later, how quick were they fitting you in! Id have to wait weeks.
Good news on the bleeding, sooner its over the sooner your next one will be due. Would be great if you could start next month, us chicks ain't getting any younger lol :)
Keep me updated.

Hyppyb · 20/07/2023 10:06

So just called, they said because I cancelled the 6 week scan they cancelled the follow up and ASSUMED I wouldn’t need it….but the whole point of the follow up is I cancelled the scan because I’m no longer pregnant and need a follow up to do a FET. That’s just really dumb they did that. Anyway follow up is now at 3pm.

OP posts:
Hyppyb · 20/07/2023 09:50

@SH998 my appointment was at 9am, it’s 9.45am and no one’s called. So at 10am will call and be like hello. What I think will happen is I will have to go back to the main clinic not the current one as extra meds as part of FET isn’t with current clinic. So will need a second follow up but should be before my next period.

I’ve had clots this morning, so pregnancy is passing. Loads of blood. Will be nice when period is over. I read chemical pregnancies can last a week which is fine as it’s not 12 weeks like my ectopic was.

It sounds like you’re doing really well. As I said before if you feel stressed and have urges to test, you should do it! Repressing it I don’t think is healthy. Continue googling and researching, it’s a form of managing your stress.

Will let you know how I get on.

@Hyppyb thanks again for calming me this morning lol. I've had a little more spotting, more of an orangy colour maybe. I did see a you tube video this week on implantation and she said the spotting could come several days after the implantation pains and last a few days so I'm trying to remember that every time I go the toilet. Also, I didn't have symptoms on the first pregnancy this early so maybe I'm just a symptom free kind of gal lol. I have to keep remembering this and telling myself all people/pregnancies are different - when I lose my head all sense goes out the window.

I had my partner up with me at 3.45am to check the line and see if it was darker, fair play he was great as he knows I'm panicking. Also my 7 day test is far darker than my last positive, I would say my last positive 7 day test was maybe the same colour as this pregnancy's 5 day test so I'm hoping this means it will be a healthy pregnancy. Its all different this time around so I cant compare which is probably a good thing as the last one didn't work out so the difference may be a good sign.

They done my last scan at 8 weeks 1 day which I thought was late as I read its normally around 6 weeks. On the plus side now looking back I'm glad it was later as the baby stopped growing at 7 weeks 3 days so my 6 week scan might have shown all OK and I would not have known there was an issue possibly until my 12 week scan or I started to miscarry naturally.

I am meant to call them next Thursday with my results but I don't have enough meds so ill call them Tuesday and call down for more on Wednesday. They will probably arrange the scan then, I'm sure last time they told me if there's any pain or bleeding to contact them before the scan for advice.

Only 1 day off with an ectopic, my god your superhuman, that must of been hard. Keeping your wits about you when in work when your going through all that pain, bleeding and also the emotional upset of it all. Sometimes work can take your mind of personal issues. Glad to hear you haven't suffered to much with your bleed and haven't experienced any nasty flashbacks.

Good luck for your appointment, you never know some additional meds might give your body and little embryo that little extra boost needed. As you know, a C grade embryo can stick so don't lose hope yet. Keep me updated :)

Hyppyb · 20/07/2023 06:15

@SH998 The line today looks good. This early as long as the line is the same or darker its fine. Once you've had a loss its natural to be on egg shells. As you are aware you naturally bleed, spotting doesn't really mean much. I've watched so many YouTube videos where many successful pregnancies started off with spotting. Of course as you say anything can happen so you can only take it day by day but you got pregnant so that's amazing.

Symptoms this early isn't always a thing. The only thing you have to go by are the test strips and they're looking good. Hopefully they stay good. Will you ring your clinic 14 days post transfer? Will they arrange your scan? You said 8 weeks last time. I think the EPU would only see you for recurrent miscarriages and prior ectopic. Waiting to 8 weeks seems long. Most clinics its 6 weeks because of a chance its ectopic.

The bleeding has been OK. Yesterday it fell like a dull pain at one point but was OK. I'm on an ectopic forum, women were saying their current periods cause flashbacks of their ectopic experience and I've had that with a bad period. The pain and contracting. So was mindful now but I've been OK. My ectopic I took only one day off when I was in the hospital apart from that the wfh part time helped me hide it from the office.

Have follow up at 9am. Will see what she says first but I think as its my last embryo in the freezer I have to throw everything at it. So will ask about the lubion. I don't feel I have a progesterone problem as I was tested prior I also ovulated last cycle but I think it's important I do everything I can now. Lubion must be available online. Will see.

@Hyppyb im trying to be grounded this time but the panicking has set in already. I think the first time I was naive and completely stress free when I found out I was pregnant. Now I know the risks I’m on edge, it’s 4am and I’m up googling ffs!
Glad the bleeding has started, you really do know your own body. That’s your one step closer to the transfer process. Hope your not in too much pain and bleedings not too heavy, on the plus side your working from home so that’s a relief should there be any issues.
I actually can’t believe the nhs gp said that too you, absolutely disgusting. You’ve proven you don’t require a man in your life to make your dream become reality! Really does annoy me when throwaway comments like that are made, it’s already a sensitive subject so have dove compassion mun!
Your mum is cheering you on up there and telling everyone how proud she is of you :)
Your tips helped hugely, your very level headed and sensible (neither of which I am lol). You really have been a godsend with your advice and knowledge.

SH998 · 20/07/2023 04:11

@Hyppyb todays progression line, day 7. Can’t help panicking. Been spotting the last 2/3 days. Literally only a tiny amount when I wipe maybe once/twice a day but still there this morning. No other symptoms whatsoever, boobs feel completely normal.

SH998 · 20/07/2023 04:09

@Hyppyb

What IVF dose and how many eggs did you get?
Hyppyb · 19/07/2023 14:15

@SH998 no its good you tested early as I said before. Must feel weird being pregnant again. Must be thrilled. At least you've figured out what works for you. My first I took photos weekly, this time I didn't was more grounded and that helped.

Both pregnancies I had dark lines. What i meant was not at 6dpt ie yours implanted very early as it was hatching.

My clinic are great in that there's no judgement like the nhs. I went to a nhs doc just about my fibroids I mentioned why and I might as well have been a harlot of babylon the unnecessary comments like if your mum was alive she would have told you to have found a man sooner. Quite nasty. Not that i gave the reason i was single so concocting that on her own. I didny bite back as there was chance she was going to put a long metal object through my cervix for the hysteroscopy. All I meant is every failed attempt the clinic never praises that I got pregnant it's all OK there must be something wrong when as we all know it's usually 95% down to the quality of the embryo.

I started bleeding today exactly as I said i would. So far no pain. I've stopped asprin so I can take stronger pain relief If needed. Will go back on them after. I'm not in the office until Monday as I wfh so that's good.

I'm sure my tips only helped with relaxing you more but there is something in baby asprin.

Yeah so end of August will be my transfer hopefully. See what is said about my failed fet also.

@Hyppyb how dark were your lines on the ectopic as that seemed a strong pregnancy as it stayed with you for so long.

SH998 · 19/07/2023 12:01

@Hyppyb this grade embryo was the same as the one I miscarried, 5BB. Personally the only thing I done different this time than the others was take baby aspiring, go for a 20 minute walk and eat salted chips after the transfer all of which you advised :)
However, my meds have changed quite a bit, previous transfers I was on 2 x Progynova a day, 2 Cyclogest, this time I'm on 4 progynova, 2 Cyclogest and 1 lubion. I'm still adamant that there is a hormone issue somewhere hence the spotting, maybe I'm too low naturally on progesterone or something like that so cant maintain implantation/pregnancy. I've always said its a hormone issue, my progesterone has never been tested or has my estrogen as far as I'm aware.
