Hey hey, making this thread to lead on from last months. I’m 1 or 2 dpo today and I’m going to try and not symptom spot this month!! Also going to try my best to not test until 12dpo at the earliest!

what DPO are you all?

@Peeonastick22 well I have suspected ibs and I think the elevated hormones slowed my digestion right down which caused so much tummy pain and cramping and it's still happening to this day 😩 but I remember it happened worse than usual straight after ovulation, I was curled up with a hot water bottle before I knew I was pregnant, scan this Saturday to check everything is okay 🤞🏼

Peeonastick22 · 29/11/2022 20:25

@MillieKitty will try not to get my hopes up! But that’s very interesting!

I wonder what on earth it is if yours was related to conception (wether or not mine is) google isn’t helping on either side of the coin!

I’ve certainly never experienced this, I usually just get aftershock ovulation pains but this is horrible throughout my whole uterus- just like AF

how are you? When’s your scan, sorry I’m not up to date tried to take a step back and not obsess!

@Peeonastick22 don't want to get your hopes up but I had horrendous tummy pains and cramps around the same time and turns out I had conceived successfully! I think with endo it would flare up around actual ovulation and nearer to your period but I'm not 100%

Peeonastick22 · 29/11/2022 16:09

Hey all, I’m (suspected) 3dpo today and I’m having quite severe period cramps, as bad if not worse than I get just before my period. My period isn’t due for 11 days, has anyone experienced this? I’m tempted to get checked for endometriosis- I can’t think what else it could be?

Oh no @Mortima what happened?

York was lovely thank you!

Mortima · 28/11/2022 12:26

@Emmalou0607 Glad you are feeling calmer this month - in some ways, 2DPO is a nice place to be as you know you've done what you can and it's out of your hands now.

@PPop I've also not ovulated yet, on the twice a day testing now...hope you had a lovely birthday weekend in York!

I'm so done with November, first a CP and now I've let myself be scammed by a rogue trader 🤦‍♀️Really hoping for some good news in December.
On a brighter note, I have bought a Fertilily cup but haven't tried using it yet - has anyone else tried them? (Are they a pain to insert?)

PPop · 28/11/2022 11:54

@Emmalou0607 that is exciting! I don't think I've ovulated yet as still very faint tests, I admit I didn't test Saturday as I was away from home for my bday. Tested last night and a faint test. So I think it's coming... but not happened yet!
I am gonna do my todays test soon as avoiding the first thing in the morning one now...

Emmalou0607 · 28/11/2022 11:08

@Wrenegade try not to write yourself off! No direct experience but can they do any tests to check that there's no blockage or anything caused by it?

Back to 2DPO, weirdly calmer than last month where I was stressing about it the whole time. How is everyone else doing?

Mortima · 27/11/2022 15:24

@Wrenegade No knowledge or experience I'm afraid, although I know someone with endo who conceived very quickly. Definitely don't write yourself off - based on what you've said, I would ask the GP for further investigations if you aren't successful after 6 months (if not before), don't wait a full year.

Wrenegade · 27/11/2022 13:55

@Mortima it sounds like you are close. Being persistent with tracking has definitely paid off so you can find your most fertile window.

I’m having quite a painful cycle. The day before ovulation, I had intense and debilitating stabbing cramps around my left ovary and now at 3/4 dpo the cramping is intermittent in my back. I know my left ovary is more dominant as I tend to feel it ovulate more often than the right. Unfortunately, that is also where my endometriosis is located, so I’m a little worried if that is preventing eggs travelling through the fallopian tube. This is only cycle three of seriously trying (nearly a year of not preventing) but I feel like I’ve written myself off. Has anyone else been given any advice around endo or he experiences of TTC with endo?

Mortima · 27/11/2022 09:11

@Wrenegade Not yet - CD17 today so hopefully soon! My BBT has gone back down as well, I think the high reading was down to alcohol and poor sleep, so I'm confident I've not missed it.

Wrenegade · 26/11/2022 20:35

@MillieKitty how exciting, I bet you’re counting down the days tills your scan.

@Mortima how has your tracking gone, have you had a strong positive on the OPK yet?

PPop · 24/11/2022 14:22

@Emmalou0607 no but if it's creating a shorter cycle I'd be happy to try it 😂
Going to York! I love York! Not sure where everyone is based the anonymity of MN 😂

Emmalou0607 · 24/11/2022 14:05

@PPop where are you off to for your stay?

Has anyone else taken Conceive+ ? This is my second month and it seems to be bringing my peak day forward used to always be on CD16, last month was CD14, I'm on CD13 today and LH is going up quickly. Just did a ClearBlue 2 day window test and it gave me the smiley face to get busy. Could just be a fluke that the 2 months I've taken it things are happening earlier though 🤷‍♀️

PPop · 24/11/2022 11:22

Thank you @Emmalou0607 I am looking forward to it, a night away always always means hotel sex 😂

PPop · 24/11/2022 11:21

@Mortima maybe just have a quick one to cover all bases...

Thank you I will make sure I do one a bit later in the day! I didn't know that, I feel like a TTC idiot 😂

Mortima · 24/11/2022 11:18

@MillieKitty Good luck with your scan, how exciting!

@PPop I'd ignore what the app is predicting and keep tracking BBT/OPK testing twice a day. Hope you get your fertile window coincides with your birthday 😉I think I read that you shouldn't do the OPKs first thing in the morning though, as it might be less accurate - maybe aim for late morning/midday and then late afternoon/early evening?

@Wrenegade Glad you've caught ovulation nicely, fingers crossed for you this month.

@Emmalou0607 Hair trauma is definitely a thing! Absolutely don't blame you for having wine after that. If it helps, I'm sure that having alcohol now and again isn't going to make a huge difference.

I was a bit panicked this morning as BBT has shot up since yesterday, but it would be very early for ovulation for me, and haven't had a strong OPK yet. I did go out last night and had a fair amount of alcohol, so hoping that's the reason , as we haven't DTD yet this cycle. I'll really kick myself if we've missed it.

Emmalou0607 · 24/11/2022 11:12

@PPop think that's the best idea, at least you're covering your bases and don't miss your chance.

Happy birthday for the weekend! Hopefully if ovulation is this weekend you get some birthday luck 🤞

PPop · 24/11/2022 10:24

Thank you @Emmalou0607 so I am not sure sure on my cycle as I'm new to monitoring it really. But it did originally have me down as entering my fertile window this weekend (I remember as it's my bday) but it has changed to a longer date.
I think I'll test twice a day to be sure; that LH faint this morning was my first of the day urination and tested before I got out of bed so will stick to that and see how I go? It's so confusing as I was on desogestral 3/4 months ago but seems to be mixed views on what this does to your cycle. Some people think you are very fertile coming right off it and others disagree with this... I have had ovulations and periods since coming off so presume I'm fertile.

Emmalou0607 · 24/11/2022 10:19

@PPop that does seem a long time, how long are your cycles normally?

If you're coming up to the point you'd normally ovulate then start double testing just to make sure you don't miss it.

BBT of 35.8 sounds normal, mine goes between 35.7-36.1 normally. Once you've ovulated you should see a significant rise in temp the day or so afterwards

PPop · 24/11/2022 08:28

So I'm on CD10 according to my app (dunno why it keeps saying I'll ovulate in 12 days as that seems long?) but I've been doing my tests temp is 35.8 apparently and my LH has a faint line? Should I now test twice a day? I've put this on the app it doesn't help me 😂

MillieKitty · 23/11/2022 11:09

@Wrenegade oooo yes sounds like your egg may be released today! Exciting!

I'm going to book a private scan for next weekend! 🤞🏼

Wrenegade · 23/11/2022 10:27

@MillieKitty I do remember! Your peak was very rapid. I’m sorry you’re feeling rough, that must be hard without an appetite. Has your first scan been booked? (I don’t know how soon they book in scans).

I was in work yesterday evening so tested at midnight when I got home and this morning, both much darker. My app is predicting ovulation is tomorrow, this month my days off have timed really well!

PPop · 23/11/2022 09:16

@Mortima yes that would be a bit much for me too!! Okay I will pop the thermometer by the bed and pop it in my mouth as I wake 😂

@Emmalou0607 ohhh no!! It's okay I hear you on the hair, it's definitely a thing on the old hair trauma! I must admit I'm not drinking to excess whilst TTC. But after AF came I did go oh eff it and have a few beverages 🤦‍♀️

Emmalou0607 · 23/11/2022 09:10

@Mortima @PPop I did okay for half the day dodging it and then mum cut my hair (she has done for years, it's long long, dead straight and just get a blunt straight cut so it's nothing fancy but easy to see if it's not right) and it went al different lengths, 4inches off later and I gave in to the wine with the stress. I know that properly sounds stupid, especially cause my hair is still half way down my back but hair trauma is a thing 😫 need to find somewhere to sort it out cause it's still all over the place.

Im really hoping that this month BFP happens cause at least then making up lies (and people underlying suspecting) won't be so awkward when you know you'll be telling them soon anyway
