Hey hey, making this thread to lead on from last months. I’m 1 or 2 dpo today and I’m going to try and not symptom spot this month!! Also going to try my best to not test until 12dpo at the earliest!

what DPO are you all?

Hi @Peeonastick22
I would think that 4dpo is too early to say wether or not you will conceive this cycle. Implantation at the earliest happens 6dpo but is more common 8-10dpo. There is still plenty of time for implantation to happen still. I would guess that the dragging feeling is related to ovulation. Ovulation pains can last for a few days afterwards which could be entirely normal for your body if it is happening every cycle. Having said that, the cycle I fell pregnant I did have a lot of cramping from ovulation day until getting a positive test which according to the same logic would have been too early for implantation. Sending you lots of luck this cycle, how are you feeling?

Peeonastick22 · 18/12/2022 09:19

Hey everyone I hope you’re all doing well!

every cycle at 4dpo I get a heavy pulling sensation in uterus. Obviously all of these cycles have been negative. I’ve got it today (4dpo) and I’m worried it means this cycle is negative too? Or would it be irrelevant since I’m this early? My luteul phase is usually 13 days

Sorry to hear about that @PPop - it's so rubbish when you feel like you've put so much effort in with tracking etc, and don't get anything back at the end of the cycle.
I get your worry as well; I feel like I either read about people who successfully conceived very quickly, or took 1 year+ and needed specialist fertility input, so it's hard not to worry when you don't fall into the first camp.
I think there are definitely plenty of women in the middle ground though. So far I've had 4 cycles with nothing, 2 cycles that were a write-off, 1 chemical pregnancy, and hoping that this one sticks. It feels like it's taken ages, but it hasn't been that long in the scheme of things.
Fingers crossed for a new year rock baby!

Emmalou0607 · 13/12/2022 20:30

@PPop sorry to hear AF has arrived, I completely get your feelings, having a similar line of thinking and anxiety at the moment, especially adding in over thinking NHS wait times!

At least we can have some Christmas drinks!

Peeonastick22 · 13/12/2022 17:02

@PPop i think it’s best to start testing BBT from CD1 so you have a full cycle of temps! so just start tomorrow morning on CD2. I put my thermometer on my phone so I do it the second my alarm goes off or I forget!

I’ve only ever used Amazon cheapie OPKs I’m not sure what brand they are!

haha would be a funny story if you conceive then!

@Peeonastick22 I am going to try to do everything! I'll need to order some more LH tests as well! I have been using the easy@home do people recommend these? Or are there better ones?
Do I start testing whilst still on my period though I think I run hot on my period tbh, or do I wait until this has ended? Come on 2023! Looks like I'll be ovulating around New Year's Eve! Let's hope for a after rock night conception 😂

Peeonastick22 · 13/12/2022 14:49

@PPop we are all entitled to being negative nellys from time to time!! It’s only natural, it’ll be me too if I don’t get my BFP 😂

are you going to temp next month?

OP posts:
PPop · 13/12/2022 13:46

@Peeonastick22 yes you are right!! I am being a negative Nelly which helps no one!!
It is exciting to see people who month by month are getting their BFP!

Peeonastick22 · 13/12/2022 13:42

@PPop it’s so hard, sorry to hear about your sister I think I remember you mentioning before

we’ve all got to try and stay positive and keep pushing on. These threads have had so many positives, it could be us next! Keep the faith and let’s enjoy our Christmas ❤️❤️

OP posts:
PPop · 13/12/2022 13:36

@Peeonastick22 it's a combination of hormones from AF and my anxiety issues playing on my mind with this!

I have never wanted anything more then I want a little baby! I think 4 cycles now... they all seem to roll into one!! 🤦‍♀️ I know it's not much but I think stupidly after my sisters issues I'm worrying more! (She M/C earlier last year and hasn't managed to conceive since)

Peeonastick22 · 13/12/2022 13:33

@PPop try not to panic, how many cycles have you been trying for? Remember it takes the average healthy couple 6-12 months on the first try!

I am sure everything is fine but I completely understand the worry. It’s so hard not to think everything is wrong when it doesn’t work the first few tries. I’m feeling the same!

OP posts:
PPop · 13/12/2022 13:22

@Peeonastick22 at least I won't have AF over Christmas! That's what I'm trying to think.

I keep worrying with each passing month something is wrong and I'm 35 now so less time to fix anything that might be wrong! Gawd! 🤦‍♀️ panic!

Peeonastick22 · 13/12/2022 13:07

@PPop ohhh I’m so sorry to hear that! :( always such a big disappointment

At least you can have some Christmas drinks although I know it doesn’t make it much easier

sending hugs x

AF has officially come! What a bother! 😓

Peeonastick22 · 13/12/2022 12:46

@PPop most of them are on here:

www.mumsnet.com/i/acronyms

but not all! Funnily enough FMU isn’t on there, but it might still help!

I usually do with my first wee of the day and when it goes above 0.5 I do twice a day 12 hours apart

OP posts:
PPop · 13/12/2022 12:08

@Emmalou0607 so as soon as you wake up? Dang next month I will do that one instead of evening! Thank you! I have learnt so many acronyms on this thread which has helped with my MN browsing!

Emmalou0607 · 13/12/2022 12:06

@PPop First Morning Urine ☺️

My peak normally goes up and back down in 24 hour so really quick and easy to miss if I'm not meticulous about checking. Otherwise my readings are pretty similar to yours the rest of the month

PPop · 13/12/2022 12:03

@Peeonastick22 what is FMU? I think the same I think I missed the surge somewhere, it is looking like I am out anyway, I am having AF symptoms (cramps, spot on my chin - though it's rudely in the same place every month, frequent bathroom trips and a little blood this morning when I wiped)
So I am a bit bummed again. Keep wishing I was younger right now!

Peeonastick22 · 13/12/2022 11:00

@PPop to me it looks like you’ve missed your positive somewhere between CD14-16 but can’t be sure without temping!

I only get positives with FMU so that’s my only advice!

@Mortima your line is great for 12dpo, mine wasn't as dark as that and I'm now almost 9 weeks! I stopped testing with frer around 20dpo 😂 then I did the weeks indicator one until it hit 3+ weeks and then stopped

PPop · 13/12/2022 10:20

Sorry for the pics but here is my month in tests! I know some are midnight or around then, I just do it when I go to bed 😂 but am I doing something wrong? Can anyone see any glitches?

Also yay @Mortima those looks really strong! How exciting!!

@Mortima your lines look great!!

yeah that’s what I’m thinking, will keep dtd and fingers crossed

OP posts:
Wrenegade · 13/12/2022 09:22

@Mortima your lines are looking very strong!
I tested on 9dpo then didn’t test again till 12dpo. But then I became anxious about having gotten a positive so early and continued to test every day till 16dpo, which was after my period was due. I have stopped now, mostly because I’m out of tests but I can tell my body is changing each day and I’m trying to trust in that.

Mortima · 13/12/2022 09:17

Ah, I think this is more likely to be your actual peak @Peeonastick22 - good thing you kept testing. I guess hormones are always fluctuating - the app should record this as your peak once you add a lower result. Definitely keep DTD.

@Wrenegade @MillieKitty how long did you keep testing after your BFP? I held off yesterday and tested this morning at 13dpo cautiously optimistic about the progression - will probably do it again at 15dpo

Premom still thinks the first one was my peak but I’m not convinced!
