Hey hey, making this thread to lead on from last months. I’m 1 or 2 dpo today and I’m going to try and not symptom spot this month!! Also going to try my best to not test until 12dpo at the earliest!

what DPO are you all?

@Ella31 I'm crossing my fingers for you! Lines can definitely be very faint at 10dpo, it's still super early. Can you post a pic of the test?

ScaredSally · 25/12/2022 11:08

@Ella31 totally normal! I was BFN until 12dpo when I got the faintest line then got darker and darker over a couple days 😊 congratulations! What a great Christmas present!

Ella31 · 25/12/2022 10:51

Ladies, got a very very very faint line today on Frer. Currently 10dpo. Period due tomorrow. Not reading into this but let's see what the next few days bring. Would it be normal to have a faint line at 10dpo. My luteal phase is 11 days

PPop · 24/12/2022 19:26

@Mortima I think any in laws would appreciate it... weirdly feel less weird at my parents then I would at his parents 😂

Yay I'm so happy for you! Hope you have some Nosecco in for Christmas Day 😂

Mortima · 24/12/2022 19:24

@Peeonastick22 So weird about these two cycles! I have no suggestions unfortunately, but hopefully they settle down soon - do go to the GP if it happens again, they might be able to check your hormones or something? I hope you're not too down lovely, and can enjoy Christmas Wine

@PPop So sorry you're unwell, lots of it about at the moment. I think illness can mess with your cycles, so definitely a good idea to DTD when in doubt (I'd feel weird about it at the in-laws as well, but needs must)! 😂

@Emmalou0607 Hope this TWW goes fast for you! Do you know when you're going to test this time (maybe a New Year surprise?!)

@Ella31 Welcome, and sorry for your loss earlier this year Flowers Definitely don't count yourself out at 8DPO - the most common days for implantation are 8 - 9DPO but can be later, so it would be less usual to get a BFP at this stage. FWIW my luteal phase is also on the shorter end (11/12 days) and I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant 😊

I'm doing okay - slight nausea has kicked in today, and got a 3+ on the Clearblue weeks indicator test, so hopefully things are still going in the right direction 🤞. Very grateful to be have been able to tell mine and DH's families about our news in person this Christmas, it's been the best present.
I know this can be a difficult time of year for a lot of reasons though, so I hope you're all doing well despite whatever is going on with TTC or pregnancy.

PPop · 24/12/2022 13:05

Can be sick mess with your cycle? I had a lot of raw egg white CM, only finished AF on Sunday this morning. Going to cover the bases and DTD today and tomorrow, DH feels weird from 26th DTD at my parents 😂 but usually this CM is just before ovulation?!

Emmalou0607 · 23/12/2022 21:10

Hey @Ella31 of course, welcome to the chat ☺️

We all started off here pretty similar stages of our cycles but are now a bit different (and a few positive tests for some of the group too.)

8dpo you still have time to get a positive! 🤞

Ella31 · 23/12/2022 20:35

Hi all I'm wondering if I can join in. I had a miscarriage 4 months ago at 7 weeks. First time TTC. Started trying last cycle. My luteal phase is around 11 days so short.

So I'm 8dpo and my period is due in 3 days on the 26th. All tests are negative at this point. Pretty sure I'm out though. I don't feel like it's worked.

Peeonastick22 · 23/12/2022 16:08

@Emmalou0607 not been on the pill for years! Could be because I’ve been ill on and off since my daughter started school

thank you, luckily Christmas will be a good distraction!!

Emmalou0607 · 23/12/2022 15:55

Oh @Peeonastick22 that's so odd! We're you on the pull or anything before? A friend of mine who's pregnant at the moment was on the pill for years and when she came off had a couple of cycles the same normal length and then a couple of short ones and then got pregnant 🤷‍♀️ sending hugs your way though!

@PPop hope it's not that horrible bug that's doing the rounds, DH and me had it week before last and still have the dregs of it hanging around.

I'm now 1dpo and already impatient. Last month I feel like I was pretty chilled about it and my illogical brain today was like 'you should test' ... I did not test because I realised I was being a twat 😂😂

Peeonastick22 · 23/12/2022 14:29

I’m out, AF 5 days early. I really hope these last two cycles are a weird fluke as I’ve had consistent 28 day cycles all my adult life. Now on cycle 5 of TTC and the last two cycles have been 18 days and now 24 days with a 4 day LP and an 8 day LP

what is going on!!

at least I can drink for Christmas I suppose

@Emmalou0607 I actually think I have a bug today! So annoying my throat feels gross and a bit mucasy this needs to go swiftly! 😂

They know we are TTC as we get asked so much we just say simply yes, it's easier then no one bothers to ask much about it! One of them - these are nice chaps just all a big drinky last night - to say ohhhhh this must suck hearing this when they weren't even trying...

Me: Confused oh well! Just gotta suck it up, people are gonna have babies it's what they do! 😂

How are you doing?

Emmalou0607 · 23/12/2022 09:38

@PPop oh that sounds like a pretty shitty thing to have to sit through. It's so hard because people don't know what's going on behind closed doors in peoples lives and while we know not to assume someone's pregnant because they've gained weight and (most) people know it's not okay to forcefully question when someone will have children, when someone actually conceives and tells their story it's done so unmeliciously and they'll never think twice the pain that could cause someone else 😔 hope you're feeling okay this morning (and don't have too much of a hangover!)

Good luck tomorrow @Peeonastick22!! 🤞🤞

PPop · 23/12/2022 08:50

@Peeonastick22 clearly downing cocktail typing is not the way forward 🤦‍♀️😂 I came home and went to DH when's it our turn, he said I handled it well...

Ohhh hopefully tomorrow goes well for you!! I am crossing my fingers that your calmness pays off dividends!

Peeonastick22 · 23/12/2022 08:46

@PPop don’t beat yourself up! Completely understand the frustration of hearing people talking about how easy it was and it happening on the first try, I’d be downing cocktails too. What cycle day are you on? I’m sure once your new tests arrive you’ll catch it so don’t worry too much!!

I’m gonna test tomorrow morning (10dpo) but my expectations have never been so low 😂 which is good I think. I had some pink tinged CM yesterday and a bit this morning which is quite normal for me and all of my symptoms have been consistent with all my other cycles. I know this can happen and you can still be pregnant but I just don’t feel it! Anyway we’ll see hey

PPop · 22/12/2022 23:26

I think I do, I did one tonight but I may have not had a good test. I'm so sorry to rant AGAIN but oh eurgh I drank a bit too much! Basically went out for a Christmas drinky, I planned to have one little cocktail k was actually considering a mock tail when DH friend announced him and his gf of 2 months are 7 weeks pregnant. I had to tank some drink just to smile about this I wanted to cry as I heard so many ohh we weren't even trying, oh can you imagine the shock etc! Ah well 4 cocktails later probably wasted a test 🤦‍♀️

Anyway onto tomorrow! 😂

Emmalou0607 · 22/12/2022 21:19

Hey @PPop ☺️ have you got enough to do once a day until they come/fertile window starts?

I'm good, just finishing peak/ovulation today I think (bbt should confirm in the morning hopefully) so not just to sit and wait. Much stronger opks and symptoms this month so I'm hoping it's a good sign

PPop · 22/12/2022 10:13

Hello all!! My AF left on Monday I am gonna start LH testing again tonight as I'm a bit low so to see me through I needed to limit as prime isn't even being very quick anymore for delivery's!

How's everyone getting on?

Emmalou0607 · 21/12/2022 12:49

Maybe there is something in the air! Pretty sure I hit my peak this morning and similar to you it's the darkest it's been. Definitely feel the 'fertile' symptoms more than I have previously. Thankfully I'm in the office today, if I was wfh I'd been testing every 5mins to see if the peak changed 😂

Peeonastick22 · 20/12/2022 14:59

@Emmalou0607 thank you!

i have no idea if that’s a good thing but I was the same this cycle, two peaks and second one was darkest I’ve had by far.

fingers crossed for you too!!

OP posts:
Emmalou0607 · 20/12/2022 12:56

@Peeonastick22 keeping my fingers crossed for you that any hormone imbalance is a good sign 🤞

I'm okay, just coming up to my peak in the next couple of days I think. OPK's have been higher than normal this month pre fertile window compared to all my previous months tracking but have no idea if that makes any difference 🤷‍♀️

Peeonastick22 · 19/12/2022 21:33

@Wrenegade such a rollercoaster! I’m looking forward to hearing about your first scan ❤️

@Emmalou0607 I’m ok thanks! Getting a bit better at distracting myself! I’ve definitely come to terms with the fact that this might take a very long time

symptom wise I just have tender boobs which I’ve had since a day or so before ovulation- unusual for me but I do seem to have a bit of a hormone imbalance atm

how are you doing?

OP posts:
Emmalou0607 · 19/12/2022 19:59

How you feeling today @Peeonastick22 ?

Wrenegade · 18/12/2022 20:59

@Peeonastick22 it makes total sense to look for symptoms of not being pregnant, I guess in some way it gives you more power in the situation where you’ve been disappointed. Almost like you know before you body tells you. Perhaps seeing every cycle as a chance to get more data with the potential to get a bfp might help ease the pressure? It is such a rollercoaster.

I’m doing well thank you, grateful for every passing day.

Peeonastick22 · 18/12/2022 14:46

@Wrenegade logically this all makes sense I think I’m just now looking for indicators that I might not be pregnant as opposed to symptom spotting. Perhaps because I’ve been let down so many times when symptom spotting!

I’m feeling ok thank you! How are you?
