Hey hey, making this thread to lead on from last months. I’m 1 or 2 dpo today and I’m going to try and not symptom spot this month!! Also going to try my best to not test until 12dpo at the earliest!

Just checking in on you all! I had a baby girl in march, she’s great just not a great feeder and a bit refluxy!

@PPophope the post birth issues are okay now?
@Mortimahope you’re getting lots of sleep now?!
@Wrenegadehave you ventured to two yet?!
@ScaredSallyhope the little one is okay , toddlers aren’t for the weak 🥴

PPop · 11/01/2025 22:26

Ohh I don't know how I missed this! Congratulations on the second one ❤️ what lovely news!
I'd love another but after September probably when we know the 30hours are definite haha! And I have had issues with my body since having our little darling, so I now have to have a biopsy and then going to see if a coil works out my issues... fingers crossed! I think it is a non hormonal so I can just do the old take it out and be ready to go when we are ready to go... but I'm horrendously broody just respecting hubbys wishes! Haha!

MillieKitty · 27/11/2024 17:54

@Wrenegade sorry to hear you're up hourly?! You must be exhausted or are you just used to it by now? Your second one should hopefully be a better sleeper!

@Mortima thank you! I don't blame you for wanting to wait for a second, it's hard to know when the right time is

Mortima · 27/11/2024 17:49

@Wrenegade You're a stronger woman than me 😅I'm sorry sleep has been so rubbish for you; I agree there's definitely an argument for going through all of that intensity at once, so good luck when the time comes!

I think sleep is one of the things I struggle with the most, even though we really haven't had it that bad and are thankfully in a decent phase at the moment with it. It's probably what gives me the most pause about having another, the prospect of having a baby who sleeps really poorly for a long time, on top of managing a toddler or small child.

Which seems a bit silly as it's only temporary, and plenty of people survive much worse. But the broodiness is real...

Wrenegade · 27/11/2024 16:49

@MillieKitty congratulations in your little girl, such lovely news!

@Mortima I think we had similar arrival times and we initially were adamant we would wait to the 2/3 year mark before considering TTC again. Largely just because we have had no good sleep. But I’m broody and I’ve managed to convince ourselves that we’re still up hourly anyway so why not be up with two 🙈. Our little girl is totally obsessed with babies and it feels cruel of me to deny her of that 🤭

Mortima · 27/11/2024 13:21

Congratulations @MillieKitty ! Another girl, how lovely. Sorry you didn't get to enjoy the TTC part this time 😂I hope the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful.

I can't believe it's been 2 years, I feel weirdly nostalgic for the ups and downs of TTC a first baby. My litte boy is coming up on 15 months and exhausting, but so wonderful.

I think for various reasons we'll probably wait at least another year before seriously thinking about a second, but I do feel a bit jealous when I see pregnant women. I think it's a trap, they can be so cute at this age and the memories of the early newborn weeks are a bit hazier, but I'm not prepared for the terrible 2s yet 😆

MillieKitty · 20/11/2024 14:03

@Wrenegade it'll probably be easier to feel more relaxed and casual next time as your little one will be keeping you busy and distracting you!
We found out this time and it is another girl!

Wrenegade · 20/11/2024 12:54

@MillieKitty oh gosh I can’t even imagine the tiredness and struggle with being sick whilst having a toddler. I’m so pleased you’re beginning to feel a bit better. Did you find out if you’re having a girl or boy this time?

Haha, I’m going to try next time around to be casual about the TTC process. I will see how long that lasts 😂

MillieKitty · 20/11/2024 12:33

@Wrenegade oh god it's hard as I just have no energy and had bad sickness the first 20 weeks or so, starting to feel a bit more normal now, yeah it's weird to not have been testing monthly etc ttc! I was looking forward to all that again one day 😂

Wrenegade · 20/11/2024 12:17

@ScaredSally totally get this and there was a little while I was in the one and done camp. So cute that he enjoys chatting so much 🥹. It certainly is exhausting but I am loving this age.

Wrenegade · 20/11/2024 12:16

Wow @MillieKitty congratulations! That is such a difference conception experience. How has it been being pregnant with a toddler?

I can’t believe how quickly they have grown.

MillieKitty · 20/11/2024 08:03

@Wrenegade @ScaredSally so lovely to hear from you both again! Hope all is well with the little ones, it's crazy how quickly they go from being a newborn to a full on toddler running around and screaming 😂
Well I fell pregnant shortly before her first birthday by accident so I'm due my second in march, definitely done after two!! I am dreading juggling them both

ScaredSally · 20/11/2024 06:48

Hey! Can't believe it's been so long! How's your little one doing? Toddler life is such a whirlwind but the best kind! He's such a little chatter box it melts my heart seeing him grow everyday but he takes so much of my time there's no way I could handle another haha

Wrenegade · 19/11/2024 19:59

How is everyone getting on? I can’t believe it has been two years since we were all here eagerly testing and hoping. We’ve begun discussing TTC number two but will probably wait till the spring, just wondering if anyone else has plans or is expecting again yet?

PPop · 17/07/2024 10:25

It's so lovely that everyone is doing so well!! We are currently going through a food issue where she is a tricky feeder I think it's normal and linked to teething so hopefully that doesn't last too long... Grin

MillieKitty · 03/06/2024 12:05

So nice to hear from you all! I've returned to work now and it was a bit weird but it's going well, I went back part time though which really helps, little one is ten months, where does the time go 😭

Mortima · 03/06/2024 09:05

So lovely to read about everyone's babies - the TWW thread feels both very recent, and a lifetime ago at the same time.
I had a baby boy on 1st September (2 weeks late), so he's now just turned 9 months, and is a delight most of the time. I'm also really not looking forward to going back to work, it feels like mat leave has gone far too quickly, although it definitely hasn't been easy at times. I've found baby groups to be a bit of a saviour, but I'm lucky that there is loads to choose from near me.

Wrenegade · 29/05/2024 16:08

PPop · 28/05/2024 21:56

I am doing really well thank you! How are you? Little one is 9 months tomorrow, she's been a brilliant little sausage so far I love being a mum!! I never want to return to work lol! Though I do find it lonely sometimes I must admit!

I’m so glad you’re doing well. I could have written exactly this. I have a meeting with my manager tomorrow and I want to delay it as long as possible. Although I do think returning to work will be good for me in the long run because it has been lonely. I just don’t want this precious time to go so quickly.

PPop · 28/05/2024 21:56

Wrenegade · 28/05/2024 21:45

@PPop just got the notification! How are you?

PPop · 28/05/2024 21:28

Dunno if anyone still checks this but I hope you are all doing well!!

PPop · 20/10/2023 09:26

@MillieKitty yes we have been doing lots of walks, I swear the dogs have started rolling their eyes when they see their leads 😂
I've done a couple classes got one this morning but I'm just a bit quiet and don't know how to start conversations at them which is so silly!!
I fear you could spend all your money on classes though it soon adds up so I am trying to do different things daily 😂

Oh the period is rough, we didn't manage to bf she had latch issues and I had supply problems so I got mine so quickly it was horrid! Lasted 2 weeks just ended now!

MillieKitty · 20/10/2023 08:30

@Wrenegade good thank you! Although I am on my first proper period and i cannot believe how heavy it is! I haven't even been able to leave the house and I am back in the adult nappies, no one prepared me for this! 😆 I'm glad the colic has settled for your baby, it's awful when they're uncomfortable and in pain

@PPop the days can definitely get lonely, have you booked onto any baby classes? They're a great way to meet friendly faces ❤️ I've been good at getting out for walks however the rain makes it hard now! It's non stop today 🌧️

@HJA87 that's amazing 11 weeks! I feel like it's gone so fast but slow at the same time , my girl has changed so much already

PPop · 19/10/2023 22:41

It's mad to think that mine is 7 weeks I was behind everyone else I think!
She's so much fun I love watching her learn about the world! Though the days are long and a bit lonely!

HJA87 · 19/10/2023 09:51

Congrats on everyone’s babies. My baby is 11 weeks on Sunday. It feels like time is flying but at the same time it feels like this thread was startled a looong time ago! X
