Hi ladies. I have started to feel a little overwhelmed with our usual thread and we are at different stages of our journeys now. Please feel free to leave this one if you don't feel the same but I feel so invested in your journeys and don't want to miss any news. Hoping this is ok, I don't think you can do DM as a group?
Hope you are all doing well and if there's anyone I've missed from the usual bunch feel free to add 😘😘😘

@bunnykins123 it is a constant worry in one way or another isn't it but it's like a mission that we now cannot fail at! Makes you more determined for sure. Xx

@mummatara I think that's a good plan, wait until AF comes and then push the reset button! Xx

@Indianna2006 you always have such a good way with words 🥰 xx

@mummatara ahh at least you have an answer. But very annoying it’s going down SO slowly! Wait it out. your period will come. And like you said. Next month will be fresh start new month etc. and no worries about should we have left it etc etc.

@FfayeN that’s good about your appointment. Lots of decisions to be made and it’s so hard to know where to spend your money.

@MrsCristianoX love that lol. Boss lady just sorting them out 😂 give me a bloody test now!

@bunnykins123 deffo keep at it. Regret in life is too much to live with I think. Doesn’t matter about the gaps etc and how long it takes. Takes lot to have will power to keep going.
Once you get there it will feel SO worth it. Each family is lovely for exactly what it is and how you got there.

I obviously didn’t have to do any extras to get there in the end. But I was so annoyed for so long about the 15 months I felt was “wasted” when the age gap kept growing and we’d started late.
but now I’m here. I actually do not care. And it’s all just a blessing. The gap fades into the background and feels irrelevant to me now. My DD felt baby kick yesterday and it was lovely 🥰

Keep going ladies. Such a fight sometimes to get there! You’re all strong women!

bunnykins123 · 25/11/2022 08:01

@mummatara those tests did look convincing! I really thought pregnancy was a possibility - I'm sorry it came back as a bit lower, I know it would have been a nice surprise for it to have been a new pregnancy. Green tea, exercise and shed loads of water is what shifted mine. I did a lot of read watch on it and it seems to make a difference.

@FfayeN yeh DH is defo not as invested at this point. He knows it's a discussion that's coming but we haven't hashed it out yet but then, I'm waiting for his result to come back before making any certain decisions (his spermies would have to be spectacular for me to change my mind at this stage!!) it's hard as it does tend to fall more into the woman - the drugs, the stress, the time needed for appointments BUT I have to give my DD a chance at having a sibling. I can't not try and regret it in the future, however much I'm scared of pressing the button on ivf. Also I'm on holiday now which means I'm drinking and eating and alllll I can think about Is my egg quality. I hate that. Infertility has stolen the joy from my life for too long. Is your appointment today? Sending you a big hug for today 💕

mummatara · 24/11/2022 22:46

@calimc83 I am thank you lovely ❤️ it would have been a slim chance at a new pregnancy I think. The tests were very convincing though 😳 just goes to show how much dilution even FMU can have 🤦🏼‍♀️ least if we try next cycle hopefully body would have reset 🤞🏼xx

calimc83 · 24/11/2022 22:43

@mummatara just seen your update. I hope u are ok xx

mummatara · 24/11/2022 22:41

@FfayeN thank you ❤️ I'll just wait for AF now hopefully she'll show up in 7-10 days. Im not going to bother testing anymore until she's been I can't bare to look at tests that go negative then positive again 🙄 I'll drive myself potty

@MrsCristianoX yes probably if it's small again they will probably book me in for a scan as that's what they did before. Oh I don't mind having my blood done I just can't look at them sticking the needle in once it's in I can look 😂

MrsCristianoX · 24/11/2022 22:26

@mummatara probably because the drop was so tiny! They did my bloods 48 hourly 3/4 times then left it one week. I used to hate blood tests. Literally don't care anymore 😕 do what you gotta do

FfayeN · 24/11/2022 22:07

@mummatara oh lovely sending big, big hugs your way 😔 xxxx
@bunnykins123 yes you're totally right. I keep trying to pin DH down and he just isn't there...the response is 'I just don't know'. Helpful in some ways as I know he'll go with what I think, but sometimes I just need that dialogue so he knows what he's signing upto. Feels a little like all pressures on me at the moment because he's not that interested in learning the options. It's a whirlwind isn't it. When do you think you'll be starting the IVF process? Xx

mummatara · 24/11/2022 22:03

@MrsCristianoX oh wow really they want to see me again 😂 she was like oh we better do another one incase it goes up 🤷🏼‍♀️ errr I don't think that's gonna happen but ok

@bunnykins123 I'm feeling ok that it isn't a new pregnancy as I really had a feeling it wasn't but I am feeling annoyed and disappointed it's only dropped by 6. I have a feeling I'll get AF and that will help the last bit along it's what happened last time period at 5 weeks post MC and negative at 6 weeks post MC

bunnykins123 · 24/11/2022 21:57

@mummatara oh hun I'm sorry. That's so disappointing. This is exactlyyy what happened with me, it crawled down. How are you feeling about it?

@FfayeN it depends on how you feel about waiting to have the tests done for free on the nhs. I was already in the system when I was debating having my levels tested with Dr S so just stuck with it but my understanding is his tests go into the 1000s. So I said to my consultant I wanted every test as I didn't want to do ivf and then be told 'oh wait up - it didn't work because...'. I want to know and ask for all tests before making a decision. So far, just NK cells but waiting for spermies to come back (I suspect this could be a biggie!). It's tricky isn't it but you have to do what's right for you. It's such a hard journey and I so hope it's not NK cells for you as I do think that the 'what ifs' of a diagnosis can make it harder to make that ultimate decision.

MrsCristianoX · 24/11/2022 21:50

@mummatara that's the exact number I was discharged from epu at in June

mummatara · 24/11/2022 21:50

@MrsCristianoX yes 6 I mean that's just ridiculous right 🙄 poxy body wants to torture me

MrsCristianoX · 24/11/2022 21:48

@mummatara just 6?! Bloody hell

mummatara · 24/11/2022 21:41

Well it's down to 84 it's dropped by 6 FFS 🙄 they want me in again on sat for more blood but I think we can take from that I'm not pregnant

mummatara · 24/11/2022 21:30

Been calling for 30 mins no answer 😩🙄

FfayeN · 24/11/2022 19:55

@MrsCristianoX I'm glad you're feeling better 🥰 despite AF and her ugly face turning up!!

OP posts:
FfayeN · 24/11/2022 19:54

@mummatara so glad you've only a little while to wait. I hope you have some conclusive results 😘 xx

OP posts:
MrsCristianoX · 24/11/2022 19:48

I've absolutely no cramps. Two weeks of mad pain that just vanishes 2 days into AF. I almost feel like a normal person 🤷‍♀️ and I like it.

MrsCristianoX · 24/11/2022 19:44

@mummatara it's not like she even checked with the nurse. 'Computer says no' 😂 let us know the results..it's mad that it gets higher before lower🙄 hcg has its own rules

mummatara · 24/11/2022 19:22

Hey lovelies I've had a mad day not long to wait to ring for results though. this mornings IC was lighter than 2 days ago so I think I know the answer. @FfayeN I'm glad they've got you booked in for tomorrow it's horrible having to think about waiting about for it ❤️

@MrsCristianoX good for you for standing your ground 💪🏼

FfayeN · 24/11/2022 19:19

@bunnykins123 we are so similar! When I spoke to his private clinic the receptionist did say we can have our test results and discuss a plan and then walk away. The IVF place we're looking at does offer intralipids and pred but not the testing so I am thinking we get the results and take them to our clinic, hopefully based on that they will prescribe the meds rather than the £1000's per month from him. I could try it without the tests, but I also do want to know what's going on aswell, it means parting with upto £3k for the quick privilege though. I know how you're feeling, but if IVF gets us there it'll be worth it 🙏🏼. I had in my mind I didn't want a Jan/Feb baby either, as my DSDs are around then and it's a really stressful busy time, but that means timing wise it's got to be quick...or gonna be a few months wait. The whole thing is very conflicting mentally xx

OP posts:
bunnykins123 · 24/11/2022 19:11

@FfayeN that's right. I also don't think you get a choice ie. You're either on his protocol in it's entirety or not at all (that's what I read when women pushed back on intralipids) absolutely fine! They say it can cause eye issues and sometimes I think they may get a blurry but I can't also be sure if that's just my bad eyesight! So we chose ivf over going to his clinic. My reasoning for this is that I feel that age is probably playing a part here too and if his protocol doesn't work, then I will then have to decide if I can afford to go with ivf (which on top of Dr S costs will probably not be realistic). It's a though call - I've been debating this since the summer and think I've only just come to the decision it's ivf with immunology now. Although I absolutely do not want ivf, it makes me so sad to think I'm at that place now 😢

FfayeN · 24/11/2022 17:54

@MrsCristianoX oh wow, well done you for getting it done today! Sometimes we do have to fight don't we!!

@bunnykins123 yeah only reason I ask is I think the private place he wants you to have pred every month from ovulation, that just seems turmoil on the body. Just reviewing my options with testing etc. (I can go to Tommy's at Coventry and it's a lot cheaper, BUT it'll take 3 months for the biopsy's and results 🤦🏼‍♀️). How have you felt on the hydroxy? I feel ya lady, it's all too much. We are bloomin' powerhouses to keep going through it all 💪🏼. I'm like you, each time I miscarry my thyroid issue gets worse...it cannot be coincidence which is why I think it's probably a combination of that and sperm/eggs that are getting on in age a bit! Xxx

bunnykins123 · 24/11/2022 17:46

@MrsCristianoX I second what @FfayeN says about registering the chemicals / miscarriages. It's important to get answers and it's expensive to do it privately even if it is just basic tests. Good for you for standing your ground today 👏

@FfayeN oh that's brilliant news! When's your 1st consultation? So for me at the moment, I just take hydroxy twice a day and then I think at bfp start on pred. That's seems to be the general sense from other women with Dr S at the NHS clinic. The treatment of different if you go privately with him though so you can expect to be on pred and intripids but don't think he gives out hydroxy unless your a complex case. Had a melt down last night, full blown tears during I'm A Celeb. It really is all getting a bit too much now 😢

@TheBirdintheCave really glad everything is going well and the tests are nice and dark!

@lovenaps sadly, I do I have high NK cells. And like most of the women who also have them, feel really hard done by the fact that my immune system is too bloody good 😂 I hear what you're saying but after 3 losses all at the same time, I really believe there is something in it. My consultant did tell me that some don't believe in it, some do but they see success with treatment so I do believe there is more to it. I'm also with the NHS so feel like if it was all conjecture they wouldn't be testing for it or offering treatment. There is also a group on here with women having good success on Dr S's treatment plan so again that gives me faith in immunology treatment. I think at this point, you have to have faith with the 'believers' otherwise you will completely loose the plot (believe me I've nearly been there!!)

MrsCristianoX · 24/11/2022 16:21

@FfayeN omg what a nightmare today. They said my appointment to get a blood test wasn't today but next week (lies) receptionist couldn't fit me in today or tomorrow so I marched round to the treatment room and asked if she could squeeze me in. I did work there so know the nurse well. Blood test done 😂 then I waltzed back and said don't need that appointment next week. Receptionist actually hates me now😂 this test is for blood liver function and cholesterol so nothing to do with ttc (remember the awful meds) so when the results come back from that I'll make an appointment with a doctor I know is sympathetic xx
