@emhope I'd call that a positive :O It seems far too obvious to be an indent.

emhope · 25/11/2022 08:10

@bunnykins123 oh and I’m 10dpo today so was 9dpo when did the test

emhope · 25/11/2022 08:09

This is the test…there was def nothing there in the first 10 mins or so 🤔

@MrsC2018 welcome to the group lovely. I'm so sorry you e found yourself here and for what you've been through. I'm the same as @FfayeN my fertile period was much longer with more EWCM and more flashies.

@emhope what DPO are you now? FRERs can have indents, if it was stark white within 10mins it could have been that but equally, I've seen squinters that looked like indents that progressed nicely. Would you like to send us your test and we can be your line eyes?

MrsC2018 · 25/11/2022 08:05

@emhope I've heard about frer indents from these boards but never had one - my tests have either been positive or negative so no experience myself but I don't understand how a line can be there if the hormone isn't. The other advantage to leaving until tomorrow to test is that it would hopefully give another day for the hormone to build up and give a decent line.

Any recommendations on thermometers? Do you use FF to chart as well? Might try after I get my period next week, one more thing to think about in the run up to Christmas won't hurt!

ChloeN · 25/11/2022 07:46

@emhope aren’t frers usually bad for indents rather than evaps?? I guess idents wouldn’t have any colour at all. I have found my positive frers seem to stay really dark and maybe even look darker a few hours later when I obsessively recheck them🤦🏻‍♀️

emhope · 25/11/2022 07:41

So I did a FRER yesterday evening….was a BFN, was annoyed and upset and so put in bin. Had a big old cry and then a few hours later before bed I got it out of the bin and there was a faint line (I am sure it looks pink and even OH could see it without squinting)
I have heard about evap lines and indents etc and I know you are absolutely not meant to look at it after the time but is there any chance it could be something?
I have never ever had this before, my BFN’s have always stayed stark white even the day after… couldn’t bring myself to retest this morning, guess I prefer to cling on to a little hope!

emhope · 25/11/2022 07:35

@MrsC2018 so sorry to hear about your losses 💕 welcome to the thread though, everyone here is so lovely. I started temping recently, took me a while to get used to it and for the first week I didn’t sleep well and kept waking as I was thinking about the thermometer 😆 but it’s definitely got easier now I have been doing it a few weeks and is nice to see the temps confirm ovulation.

ChloeN · 25/11/2022 07:13

@mummatara bloody hell that is literally an eternity I don’t know how you’ve done it 😢

@MrsC2018 so sorry for you losses, that’s absolutely awful I think you’re so strong💕💕 I tried to ask epu about ovulation after mc and they basically shut me down and told me it was impossible before a period which is obviously not true🙄 I got ewcm too but not as much as normal so I don’t know whether I ovulated or not but it was reassuring to know my body was trying to get back to normal!

MrsC2018 · 24/11/2022 23:12

@FfayeN thanks for the welcome, your words are so kind. No reason was found for the first loss, and the second one was found 5 weeks ago tomorrow so no answers yet. Frustratingly, we were told it was very unlikely to happen again (both losses at 16 weeks) but I've since found out that once you have a loss after 12 weeks then you're more likely to have another. So I don't know what to think now really.
@mummatara thanks for the ovulation advice, I think I knew really that I didn't ovulate but was still hopeful I'm in with a chance this month. Hope's a bastard getting in the way of rational thought all the time - hope you don't have RPOC, can't believe you found out on the 8th sept. This has been an absolute ordeal for you. Think on reflection I've been lucky with my losses, it was all shockingly quick - with both, babies were out within 2 days and first period with the first was 5 weeks. Think this one will be next week so 6 weeks, but I did have RPOC with this one that passed 6 days after the baby so all seems like it's the same.
Is temping easy enough? Wonder if I should temp as well as OPK - how do you manage the constant thoughts about TTC? I worry that temping just makes it carry on all month 🙈

mummatara · 24/11/2022 22:37

@MrsC2018 so sorry for your losses ❤️ i temp and didn't ovulate at all after my first MC until the cycle after I had a period and that cycle I had flashing smiley for 9 days before I got a peak. This MC I had O pains a very positive opk 13 days after surgery but no temp rise and I'm just over 3 weeks post surgery so I think probably I'll follow like I did last time and won't O until after a period. She said to me that they will see what the next one is but I imagine if it's still another small drop they will scan for RPOC that's what they did previously. She did say to me that it might be a new pregnancy still but with a drop after 48 hours I find that highly unlikely 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Babydustmamma thanks lovely there is always a smidge of hope but I think I knew my guy was telling me no so I didn't get too hopeful. I would have been more shocked if it had gone up I think 🙊

Babydustmamma · 24/11/2022 22:18

@mummatara sorry it wasn’t a new one ♥️ There’s always that little bit of hope isn’t there!

@MrsC2018 so sorry for what you’re going through but as @FfayeN put so well, welcome and sending love xxx

FfayeN · 24/11/2022 22:14

@MrsC2018 welcome to the thread. I am so sorry for the ordeal you've been through and can't even imagine how anxious you are about TTC again. Is there any explanation for your losses? Do they do any testing as they were second trimester? I would feel sure they would be referring you after what you've been through depending on what could have caused it. Bless you 😔 xx

My ovulation after miscarriage did have a long build up compared to a normal quick rise. About 3 weeks post procedure, AF arriving just under 2 weeks later. It was going back to a normal quick rise for me after about 4 months.

Feel free to settle in here, air your worries and concerns, we are all lovely I assure you and there is nothing we don't discuss here. It's a safe space 😘 xxx

Hey ladies, very tentatively joining as I'm not sure I can cope with TTC again. I've got 2 healthy children, but have then had 2 second trimester losses this year. The only things they did differently with the last one was giving me a reassurance scan at 7 weeks and started aspirin at 8 weeks - any ideas if they'll do anything different if I do get pregnant again? I won't be having a debrief for another 2-3 months to ask anyone really.
Also, any experience on ovulation after a miscarriage? I had a flashing smiley for 8 days last week and no peak it just went to low last Friday - but I had EWCM on Monday and Wednesday and ovulation pains on Friday. Not temping so no way of knowing if I did actually ovulate. I wish I could just switch my brain off and just have a baby after I get pregnant like everyone else!
@mummatara did they say what your options are beyond another blood test at the weekend?

mummatara · 24/11/2022 21:59

@ChloeN yes the EPU they are open 24/7 at my hosp thankfully! Haha it feels like forever because we first found out at a private scan on 8th sept 😳 but I didn't get the surgery until 3 weeks ago so it's really only been 3 weeks since the actual MC and here's me thinking opting for natural management would be a quicker hcg resolution than the 6 weeks my previous one took 😂

ChloeN · 24/11/2022 21:54

@mummatara oh bloody hell🙄 is this epu, yours is open so late I think mine only used to be open 9-4🤣 how longs it been in total now? Feels like forever to me so can’t imagine how long it feels for you!

mummatara · 24/11/2022 21:42

@ChloeN finally got through after 30 mins of ringing and it's dropped to 84 🙄 so it's dropped by a measly 6. I think can safely say not a new pregnancy but they do want me in for another blood test on Saturday

ChloeN · 24/11/2022 19:48

@mummatara oh no😔least it’s not long till you get your results, the waiting must be torture😖xxx

mummatara · 24/11/2022 19:18

@ChloeN I did have to ring about 9 for the results hopefully they will be in by then as they say 4-6 hours. I'm not sure I can stay awake until 11 😂 I'll let you know what they are though my IC this morning looked fainter than 2 days ago so I think I know the answer already

ChloeN · 24/11/2022 18:28

@mummatara did you get your bloods done again? Xx

FfayeN · 23/11/2022 19:01

@emhope I have everything crossed for when you do test, sorry to hear today was your due date too 😔 xx

Babydustmamma · 23/11/2022 18:15

@emhope sending lots of love and luck for you x

emhope · 23/11/2022 18:03

9 DPO today and my FRER’s arrived from Amazon. I feel slightly off today, no energy and maybe a little nauseous but I don’t want to test today as today would have been my due date for the baby we lost in April 😔 Although a positive would be a lovely thing to happen today, I don’t think I could handle seeing a BFN so will hold off. Anyone else due to test in next couple of days?

mummatara · 23/11/2022 12:43

@ChloeN 🤣 it better or it's going on santas naughty list 😂

@Lialii thank you. MC was 3 weeks ago yes I had surgical management after natural didn't work properly 🙄 I think a new one is a slim chance but it's been very odd in what my tests have been doing if they hadnt got faint and then that one negative and started getting darker again I wouldn't even question it as just being residual after my previous MC it took me 6 weeks to get a negative

Lialii · 23/11/2022 12:25

@mummatara Everything crossed for you! How long ago was your mc? I think you wrote earlier you had surgical management?
