@calimc83 thanks for sharing that, that's really helpful. I'm fully expecting to be an anxious mess for the next nine months (if I get that far, hah!)

@Babydustmamma so sorry you have found yourself here. I also had a mmc recently. It's so cruel. Hope you're alright.
I can't advice much on cycles post mc I'm afraid. My cycles were notoriously irregular before the mc. Are you tracking ovulation at all?

Babydustmamma · 25/10/2022 21:56

Hello ladies, I hope it’s ok to post on this thread? I suffered a missed miscarriage in June 2022, and have been ttc ever since. Feel like I’m losing hope and could really do with a little community of people who relate ♥️

would anyone mind sharing if their cycles immediately went back to normal or if it took some time? I’ve always been regular (7 day, heavy period, 28 day cycle) until the baby loss. My periods are really light and running for up to 12/14 days at a time! I keep reading online to be patient and ‘wait for my body to get back to normal’….

really appreciate any info/response xxx
thanks!

@RaliaMusca this is wonderful news! And amazing that you have a reason for the bleeding as well! One day at a time x

calimc83 · 25/10/2022 19:14

@RaliaMusca aww 🥰 so happy your scan went well! As others have said try not to stress too much about measuring behind. With this pregnancy at my first scan I was around 4/5 days out, scan 2 weeks later I was 2 days out and had caught up by 12 weeks. I also measured behind with one of my MMC so I don't think it matters too much - fyi - the anxiety doesn't go the further on u get 🙈😆 xx

RaliaMusca · 25/10/2022 17:00

Thank you all so much. Your words of encouragement do mean a lot and just knowing you all get it and know what it's like is amazing. So glad to have found you ✨

bunnykins123 · 25/10/2022 16:20

@RaliaMusca congratulations on hearing the heartbeat. Such a beautiful sound 💓 I wouldn't worry about being a wee bit behind. DD was 6 days behind at my 12 week scan, still can't figure out why - she's a happy, healthy 3 year old now!

MrsCristianoX · 25/10/2022 16:15

@RaliaMusca agree with everything @Indianna2006 said. Don't worry. Easier said than done I know xx ❤️

FfayeN · 25/10/2022 15:53

@RaliaMusca try not to worry. You could possibly book a private scan if you think that would ease your anxiety before your dating one? I think we are all now set in a state of anxiety in any pregnancy because of our pasts. Try and take reassurance that they weren't concerned given your dates.
Also totally possible to test positive 8/9DPO which may be on with their suspected dates? Xx

@RaliaMusca yes I was specifically told by EPU and the private clinic 5 days either side is fine. So as it’s only 5 days ish and not like a week plus. I wouldn’t be concerned. Ovulation could not be an exact science. And when you implant can make a big difference. 6dpo implanted compared to 11dpo is 5 days difference so there goes to the difference for people.

i think i with successful pregnancies anyway implant quite early. Like 6/7dpo. As I get quite positive tests on frer by like 11/12dpo. And whenever I got for early scans and dating scans I always measure ahead of my dates. When I feel ovulation so I know the day I conceived. This pregnancy I’m 5 days ahead. So it must be implantation which moves the dates when your certain on Ovulation I think

RaliaMusca · 25/10/2022 15:42

@Indianna2006 yeah, it would be roughly 5-6 days behind.
Thing is, it could be totally normal because I had the exact same thing last time. Obviously I lost that one. But with my DD I only had a scan at 12 weeks (how did I cope?!) so no idea how she measured at 6-7 weeks. Maybe my babies just grow slowly to start with?

Indianna2006 · 25/10/2022 15:37

@RaliaMusca no idea why that says job. It’s meant to say blob. This is what multitasking with a 4 year old DD does lol!

Indianna2006 · 25/10/2022 15:36

@RaliaMusca congrats on the little job. How far out were you we from what you predicted. I think early days can be quite hard to measure when it’s small as well. But I’ve always been told 5 days either side they are no concerned at all. Entirely normal. And earlier on can sometimes be small ish to measure.

ChloeN · 25/10/2022 15:14

@mummatara youre all good☺️🤣 I’m just annoyed at myself because I’ve tried so hard not to symptom spot this cycle at all then this happens🤣

@FfayeN I always used to spot the day before af but since the mc I haven’t, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it is that and my periods just coming early!

RaliaMusca · 25/10/2022 15:02

Thank you all!

@FfayeN no, they said they're happy to hand me over to midwife care now.

I'm driving myself a bit mad over measuring behind because it was the same with my mmc. I know I could have ovulated late but then I would have gotten a bfp a week after conception. Surely that's impossible.
Why oh why does the anxiety never end?

FfayeN · 25/10/2022 14:51

@mummatara well said, @ChloeN it really is this but inbetween that gets us all I think! Especially if you're not used to spotting before AF. I never did before my MC and it's hard to adjust when you don't know what your body is doing.
I really hope it is implantation for you! 🤞🏼.
@RaliaMusca glad the scan went well and hope it's given you a little reassurance for now, have they scheduled you in for another? xx

mummatara · 25/10/2022 14:27

@ChloeN ahhh phew 😂 some people don't like hearing it but I like to hear it straight too 🙊

ChloeN · 25/10/2022 13:45

@mummatara thanks lovely I think I needed to hear that🤣 I would honestly rather someone tell me straight than beat around the bush so I appreciate it❤️ you’re right there is literally no way of knowing, it probably wasn’t even implantation bleeding anyway so I guess all i need to do is wait to see if AF turns up Friday or not! Only a few days to go🤣xxx

Bubblesandballoons · 25/10/2022 13:08

@RaliaMusca glad your scan went well and they found a reason for the bleeding

TheBirdintheCave · 25/10/2022 12:45

@RaliaMusca So pleased for you :D Congratulations!

mummatara · 25/10/2022 12:21

@ChloeN ok step away from Google missy I'm giving you tough love now ❤️ just because there was spotting at 12dpo doesn't mean implantation happened then could have been a couple of days ago and it's just taken it's time to work it's way out there is no way to know so you have to stop torturing your poor self and just trust that at some point your body will do it's magical thing and you will get a beautiful little bubba ❤️ if that isn't this month then we will be here to help you through the next cycle and if it is your month we will also be here to get you through the whole thing. I know it's so so hard when you want it so badly but Google doesn't help trust me I've done a major amount of googling myself it was torture and you can't change your outcome xxx ps I hope I wasn't too hard please still talk to me 🙈

ChloeN · 25/10/2022 11:49

@RaliaMusca so pleased everything looked okay, congratulations lovely☺️

@mummatara I stupidly googled implantation at 12dpo and it said the risk of mc is increased by 80%😑 so either way I look at it it’s probably not going to be a great outcome🤦🏻‍♀️

mummatara · 25/10/2022 10:58

@ChloeN could be lovely 😢 i hope it's not good thats it's buggered off now

@RaliaMusca so happy you had a little blob and HB 💕 I think that's the best take each day as it comes

RaliaMusca · 25/10/2022 10:55

Oh and they found a reason for my bleeding! Subchorionic hematoma. Looks like most of it has already gone so should resolve itself soon.

RaliaMusca · 25/10/2022 10:46

Just had my scan and saw a tiny blob with a flicker of a heartbeat. So relieved!
I did measure a bit behind though but then again, can't be entirely sure when I conceived as I wasn't tracking O.
I'm still worried about the progress a bit especially due to my lack of pregnancy symptoms (apart from nausea). But just taking it one day at a time now.

ChloeN · 25/10/2022 10:33

@MrsCristianoX @HalWin2221 @HJA87 thanks ladies, all sounds quite similar to me but perhaps a few days later than it should be? I’ve wiped again and nothing, now thinking did I actually see it at all🤣

@mummatara I had a bit of an af back ache this morning too so could well be🙄 never come on this early before but could all still be messed up from the mc!
