@Billyv Honestly, I think you’ll be fine! Like I said before, nobody knows the exact day they ovulate! Ppl assume its 24 hours post positive OPK but I think some women ovulate maybe 2-3 days after!! Who really knows! I think these forums make you obsess over DPOs and what day you should implant etc!! your line is pretty good! I def wouldn’t say it was faint! keep us posted! I want to say congratulations but I’lm wait for your update but I have a good feeling for you!

@Roxybabe yes absolutely, I've been going down a lot of Mumsnet wormholes in the last few days. Really bad idea if you're a natural worrier. I think I could have ovulated up to 4 days later than I thought, which would have put the bleed i had at around 10dpo. I wonder if that was implantation, but it took a few more days for the levels to rise. Who knows 🤷

@Billyv I love a puzzle! I think your line on FRER for the 12th looks great and it is definitely progressing which is reassuring! I think maybe if you had tested sooner (14dpo for example) it would have been positive! And I wouldn’t get too disheartened by an internet cheapie! But I understand why you are worried!! I think its possible that you possibly ovulated later then thought and maybe implanted a little later and have a slower HCG rise but its not totally unheard of for that to happen!! I have everything crossed for you and try not to worry too much!!

Had you not been actively trying and known your potential O date etc you probably wouldn’t even be worrying! Before I found these forums I never knew anything about line progression and when implantation should happen etc, I assumed you just test, get a positive and your pregnant and thats that!! Oh to be naive again!! I like these forums and they are a great support but sometimes I wonder if these forums cause unnecassary anxiety! Lets remember we aren’t robots and everybody is different and no pregnancy is textbook!

Oh well this is the puzzle!

Ok so we had sex on the 18th Oct. Got a positive LH test on the 19th. Didn't have sex again (toddler teething, all v sleep deprived) until after my period.

I tested on the 1st Nov. BFN
Spotting 2rd Nov at 13dpo
Light period 14-17dpo

Then for some reason I decided to take a test this weds, which would have been 21dpo if I ovulated after the LH surge. V faint positive on a cheap test.

If DP has super sperm and I actually ovulated much later than I thought, then maybe I actually concieved as late as the 23rd. Then had a heavy implantation bleed 10-14dpo. So that would mean I tested at 17dpo.

It's a pretty crap line even for 17dpo.

Will see what the Dr thinks - it's such a bizzare one! I am having the same symptoms I had with DS now. Sad it's probably not going to work out. The dates are just too mad.

These are the cheap tests which actually show some better progression.

@Billyv I think your lines look good! What DPO did you get your first BFP and before that when was the last time you tested? Is it possible you got your O dates wrong?

@Roxybabe thank you. It's a right puzzle and I'm hoping my Dr will get me in for blood tests once I've spoken to her on the phone tomorrow. I just don't know how it can be a viable pregnancy given the dates, the bleed. Slow line progression now too. It just doesn't really stack up into a viable pregnancy?

That's a very good line. Here's hoping you get some answers next week. I hear ya on the toddler front. It isn't easy. Look after yourself.

I didn't get any more frer, just some cheapies as I do need to keep testing and I can't afford £5 a pee haha.

I took one yesterday afternoon and one this morning. This morning's is looking more convincing, but it's FMU compared to afternoon wee. I'd say overall it's looking stronger than all the other lines I've had. But I guess it's going to take a few days to really know if HCG is going up at the proper rate. Should know by Monday.

I also have another Morrisons own brand cheap test too. That's the one I originally took on weds afternoon, so if I do another this afternoon it should give a more definitive idea of progression.

I really am thinking it's ectopic. Or perhaps it's blighted ovum. Not to be dramatic. I just can't work out how it could possibly be a viable pregnancy with my dates and the faintness of the lines.

DS has a horrible cold and is teething too, so I've had no sleep for the last few days. Having a sad, sleepless toddler is not helping the situation.

@Billyv I have one test left and that will be my last. Just had my final blood test too. (19dpo my HCG was 985)I have a scan next Wednesday and I really hope all is ok.

Hi @Billyv. Congrats. These are my tests from 19,20,21 dpo. I was 5 weeks yesterday and got 3+ on the digital. Is it possible you ovulated later?

could you get your beta HCG checked by the GP?

@Billyv it's looking good.. best to stay guarded I suppose. Hopefully your doctor doesn't just ask for a urine sample.🙃

Also I didn't realise your first test was 5pm pee! That's a strong line!

Hello! No it was weirdly light and lasted 3 days, but I just thought that was because it's my first cycle off the pill and hormones adjusting etc.

I think given I'm now probably 21dpo, the lines are faint, and I've had some bleeding, I should probably not get my hopes up too much at this point. Will keep testing.

How heavy was your period? Did it last 5+ days?

@SmurfStar ever so (ever so) slightly darker this morning, but it was FMU compared to yesterday's 5pm panic pee.

Will call the Dr and see if I can get an appointment. My surgery is very competitive for appointments, so we'll see.

@Billyv I find these to be really sensitive actually .. it claims 10mui which is lower than the usual cheapies lol I think frer is 6?

I've never had implantation bleed so idk but you can't argue with that line it is def positive! All things crossed now the wait is on ... I really hope you're pregnant 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼❣️❣️

Yes no idea, how heavy can implantation be? A period-like bleed in early pregnancy can apparently happen around the time you'd have your period. Some people get one at 8wk too. So 🤷

20dpo should be the 6th down I think. I left a sample into the docs last Friday and he said it was a "weak positive" so to leave another one in which I did this morn.. I hope you everything's ok but it getting darker is easing my anxiety lol. Do you think your period was implantation bleeding maybe?

Um well this happened...

I had a period! I took a test today on a hunch, it was a light period, feeling queasy.

I think I'm 20dpo. I just wondered if you had a 20dpo ish test as I remember your BFP was quite faint too, it would be interesting to compare if that's OK. I had really dark BFPs with DS by this point. Just a bit worried really. What a weird situation! Am planning to call the Dr tomorrow
