Hey ladies! I hope you don’t mind me joining in. I am 8DPO and still feeling very neutral. I had an early miscarriage (5 weeks) at the start of September and starting trying again in the next cycle. Not got too much hope as my temperate seems to have risen less after ovulation than it usually does - has anyone else experienced this?

What DPO is everyone going to start testing?

Giving you all lots of baby dust ✨

Butterflygirl23 · 17/10/2022 07:11

Hey my ovulation day was the 12th too!! Fingers crossed for us all

Hopefulfor4 · 16/10/2022 14:15

@anotherscroller 🙏🏻A little hope is all I need then! I’m 3dpo (4 if you include ovulation day) and feeling neutral too.
I’m away for a few days with the family so keeping my mind busy until bedtime and then I’m a crazy scroller! Xx

anotherscroller · 16/10/2022 11:27

@Hopefulfor4 then there is definitely hope!
I’m now DPO 5. Feeling neutral, don’t think there’s a huge chance it’s worked this time but also why not? It could have.
finding it really helpful to spend lots of time outside and getting fresh air.
good luck all!

@santastolemycat i get mine from Tesco they’re cheap and I get my pregnancy vitamins from there aswell I rate the own brand and they’re much cheaper :)

santastolemycat · 15/10/2022 23:54

Hello Ladies

May I join?!
I ovulated today (darkish line on OPK yesterday and then a barely visible one on my one this afternoon) on day 17 of my cycle.
This is our first month of TTC #2.
I am feeling very impatient already. 😩
Can I ask where you all get your folic acid from sure last time I got some in Aldi or Lidl bit the last few times i’ve been in they have only had vitamins.

Hopefulfor4 · 15/10/2022 23:27

@Hopeful1992 thanks for this! It gives me a little hope as I DTD on day 12 of cycle and had a very bloated day on day 14. So maybe that’s the day I actually ovulated. Maybe some little swimmers could have been waiting!

Mannymoomin · 15/10/2022 23:10

thank you @anotherscroller & @Iwillstayhopeful

Genuinely can’t believe it yet, here I was stupidly counting my dpo and days to test and I’d already unknowingly conceived.

I had two positive OPKs last month, I had two test holders, so 2 static smileys exactly 24 hours apart, we only dtd the once and it was 36 hours after first static, so for anyone using the CB OPKs, keep dtd for a few days after first peak, just in case.

on another note, I have 3 frer tests left and probably a few CB OPKs and couple of test holders.
Happy to post them onto any of you ladies

I always get a bit of cramping usually on my left hand side, a bit like mild period pains. I also get weird little twinges in my middle back also on my left hand side. 1-2 days before I get more CM and then the days after I have really sensitive breasts. Oh on the day of actual ovulation I’m usually bloated as well

Sorry @Hopefulfor4 forgot to tag you :)

Hopeful1992 · 15/10/2022 22:41

@Stayingpositive1992 i have PCOS and went to see a private gynaecologist, it was the best thing I did. He prescribed me metformin whcih has made a huge difference to my insulin resistance

Can I join please 😁 we've been trying to concieve for 2.5 years. Recent diagnosis of PCOS, very irregular cycle. Attending a fertility specialist to stabilise insulin resistant. Currently 2 DPO, praying this is finally our month 🙏

Hopefulfor4 · 15/10/2022 17:01

@Hopeful1992fingers crossed for you. May I ask what symptoms you got at peak and ovulation day as I don’t measure for ovulation just look out for ewcm.

Hopefulfor4 · 15/10/2022 16:44

Sorry I mad a mistake, i‘m not 16 dpo I’m day 16 of my cycle. DTD dat 12. Had ewcm day 14 and crazy bloating, boob and abdomen aches day 15. But Luke I say similar last month by missing the crucial day 14!!

Hopeful1992 · 15/10/2022 16:07

Can I join please 😁 thought I ovulated weeks ago but presumed I missed my peak, so was disappointed to not get a BFP… fast forward a week and I ovulated for sure (PCOS so cycles are a bit all over) and I’m now 2dpo. Managed to BD 2 days before peak, day of peak and day of ovulation so fingers crossed!
baby dust to you all ✨

anotherscroller · 15/10/2022 12:04

Hi @Hopefulfor4!
most luteal phases are around 14 days and there’s not as much variation as the cycle as a whole (some people’s are 7 or 8 days long, but most are around 14). So if you’re getting a bfn on 16 DPO the most likely thing I’m afraid is that you ovulated later than you thought, in which case day 12 would be too early. So I would say there is not much hope for this cycle :( But there are exceptions of course! See the story above where she thought it was AF…

Hello I was wondering if I could join in? I am currently 16 dpo. We have been trying on and off for about 9 months. I have experienced 2 chemical pregnancies and a 5 week miscarriage at the very begging of September. I have just had bloods taken this month to look into fertility. I am 37 and have three children 7 and above but have dreamed of another for about 4 years. Unfortunately this month we were only able to DTD at day 12 of cycle on nothing since. This is similar to last month and no bFp. Are my chances pretty rubbish? X

Iwillstayhopeful · 15/10/2022 05:26

Congratulations!!!🥳🥳🎉🎉

anotherscroller · 15/10/2022 05:25

@Mannymoomin Omg! Congratulations!!

Mannymoomin · 13/10/2022 21:23

That’s the test line that is a die stealer! I must be 6 weeks ish. I’m so bloody shocked, especially with the AF last month

Mannymoomin · 13/10/2022 21:22

omg! I’m in shock, so much so that I just typed up a whole message and somehow lost it.

AF arrived early for me last month, by about 3 days, so I never bothered testing.
anyway, AF was the usual 6 days long, but lighter than usual. I couldn’t tell by how much as it was the first time using period pants so just assumed they were super efficient.

Anyway, I threw up rather out of the blue this evening and for some reason instinctively took a test.
I’m in total shock, we only bd once last month and it was the time we decided to try for another one, so assumed we’d missed O anyway.
actually thought I was 2dpo today and counting down the days to test.

line came up instantly and I nearly fell off the toilet.
havent bothered with OPKs as they stress me out! Argggg I actually can’t believe it

anotherscroller · 13/10/2022 20:52

Ok we just got in another one for good measure!
I know, bbt is the only way. I got too obsessed with the temping though and we both hating hearing the beep beep first thing. Maybe I should try using a wearable? I hate wearable anythings but this seems like a special case…

EF101 · 13/10/2022 20:29

2dpo today, joining for my first tww, thought I had cramps but probably from wearing tight trousers today 🤔

Mannymoomin · 13/10/2022 19:50

@anotherscroller definitely keep BD!
I’ve been reading so much on google (bad I know)
But one thing I’ve learnt is that only tracking bbt can confirm ov, and the OPK are just an indicator.
Another thing I’ve learnt, even though you can get a positive OPK, the hormones that control stress can override LH.
So that could potentially be why so many people that track and stress over Ovulation and BD at the right time end up not conceiving, the stress of it delays ovulation and once you’ve stopped stressing because you think you’ve done everything you can that’s when you finally actually ovulate, and that’s why AF is actually late, because LP is pretty much the same each month.
So if AF ever does turn up late, you can be almost certain that ovulation happened later than what you thought, and if it did, stressing could be why.
But it’s so hard to not think about something that you desperately want which makes it even harder to practice 🤷‍♀️

Something else I’ve read, chance of conception is only around 20% each cycle, but, successful conception happens mostly when ovulation occurs from the right ovary, and since it switches left to right every month then that obviously makes it even harder.

You probably know most of this and I’ve probably invested too much time reading articles on google so have probably waffled on too much 😂
🤞 and lots of babydust to you

anotherscroller · 13/10/2022 19:32

I still have really high (not quite positive but almost) ovulation tests even though my positive one was three days ago — anyone else have this? Do you know why? Should I keep bd?
