I know, must have been a fluke, or something to do with having just come off the pill and something got triggered.

@anotherscroller ah ok, we’ll Im sorry that you’re not ovulating properly however it’s good to finally get a diagnosis and something you can work with and build on 🤞 fingers crossed that the letrozole helps and you get your long awaited BFP; it’s mad though that you already have a child, must have just caught an egg that time💗💗💗

Sorry I’ll just add in case it’s not obvious: the doctor said that her diagnosis is that I am not ovulating at all, or very infrequently.

Almost 12 months of trying with no bfp when we already have a little girl, my partner’s sperm tests are normal, I have a high egg count, all our bloods are normal, my tubes test and ultrasound
was normal. We’re 32 and healthy weight and healthy lifestyle (although she did say to try to limit to 3 units of alcohol per week each and no more than two shots of coffee a day).
The big thing that stood out: irregular cycles of between 28 and 38 days since coming off mirena coil.
She wasn’t interested in the fact that some cycles I was getting positive OPKs, it was the long length and that it varied that was a red flag.
The doctor was really interested in the fact that in my twenties I had periods that were even more irregular, often actually skipping a cycle. Even though they’ve got better since, she asked loads of questions about that.

bit of an update: I’m being put on letrozole! Really excited and relieved that it’s not ‘unexplained infertility’ and they reckon something is up with my ovulation. So, feeling very hopeful 😊 hopefully see you on another thread in a few weeks, or not if bfps come your way!!!

Ladies, I think I’m going to take a break from MN. I’m seeing the fertility doc tomorrow so I’m going to try the ‘leave it to the professionals’ route for a bit and stop trying to work everything out myself. It’s making me very stressed and upset.
Thanks so much for all your support, this thread has been lovely.

@anotherscroller I completely get the worries! Maybe ask GP for blood tests to check thyroid and things that can affect cycles

Thanks. Stress is a funny thing isn’t it. I suppose the body is TRYING to get pregnant, so it knows what it’s doing.
Here are my last cycles since Jan.
I was kind of ok with 38 but 43 (and counting) seems worrying. I don’t know what could be wrong if there are no cysts on my ovaries.

@anotherscroller No more red sprouting just had some light brown when wiping earlier, knickers have been clean since an more when wiping, I grabbed a test tonight and may do one in the morning if I have no more spotting!

My periods were lighter at first for 4-5 months after stopping the pill and lasted 2-3 days rather than 6-7, then settled I also once skipped a period for no reason to, GP just said it was stressed, but I had no great stressed at the time,
Don't know if any of that reassures you but wanted to ensure you that sometimes periods/cycles can change if vary, lots of contributing factors there xx

Literally none. I think my body has just shut down.
I’m making some radical decisions to try and get my body kick started again!
worried I’m going into premature menopause because my periods have got lighter since giving birth — reassure me?
I’m 32 and otherwise healthy. But this is so weird. Day 43. What on earth.

I spotted on and off yesterday and had mild cramps, nothing yet today but this is very normal for me before AF

I think I have AF starting today, had cramps the past 2 days but no cramps today, had some red spotting when wiping this morning and I little bit more this afternoon, BFN on a FRER last night (only did it as I was going out for tea-so drank a lot of wine to cheer me up!) even though I knows it's just the spotting I get before AF, I still find myself googling implantation bleeding 🙈 lost the plot!

@Beck208 I can see something but I’m not going to say congrats until I see tomorrows, it’s so so faint. Fingers crossed.

Still no AF here, cycle day 42… I don’t have PCOS … doing another test tomorrow morning which will of course be negative but I just want to end this madness!
