Hi all just creating a new thread since the other one is almost full!!! Really really hoping this is our month, but not hopeful, DH is away with work for most of my FW and only comes home the day before I think I will ov. I've also injured my back!!!

Faint line on a covid test this morning 😫😭 think that'll make me out this month 😭

thelma57 · 20/10/2022 11:54

Looks promising @ScarletDreams !

ScarletDreams · 20/10/2022 11:17

@Sparklythings1 @thelma57 thanks for the help, I have tested again today and it is reading 0.7. I'm cycle day 8 . Looks to be going up fairly quickly so hopefully I get a reading above 1 soon

Hoping for a BFP October/November

So AF is definitely here. That’s two months in a row (after coming off the pill) that my luteal phase (time from ovulation to period) has been 7 or 8 days long. I’ve looked it up and a luteal phase of under 10/11 days is too short to sustain a pregnancy. One of the main causes seems to be stress and I’ve been stressed beyond belief the last two months 🤦🏼‍♀️ Don’t know how to get it down by next month though

Could have written this myself - spotting started for me on 9 dpo and was so light so I had my fingers crossed it was implantation. However period definitely arrived this morning👎 I was wondering about the luteal phase thing so interesting to read your research @Sparklythings1... not sure how to reduce stress when I'm now back at work and my 11 month old has chicken pox... but will work on it!

ScaredSally · 20/10/2022 10:54

@Sparklythings1 if you've just come off the pill it takes an average of 6months for your hormones to balance to a normal cycle so that could be affecting your lut phase

thelma57 · 20/10/2022 10:30

@ScarletDreams I agree with @Sparklythings1 the app seems to be off for my fertile days so I just go off the sticks. I’m on CD16 atm and haven’t had my peak yet, highest has been .49 but I missed a test day on Sunday so 🤷‍♀️

Just going to keep testing and try to DTD more regularly and see how we go. Feeling a bit knackered by it all so might stop the OPKs next month and just try to be more regular with DTD.

Hope everyone is doing okay! Xx

@ScarletDreams over 1 will go to peak usually, if I go above 0.3/0.4 I know I’m heading up the way and will peak in the next day. While you’re using it I would ignore the fertile days the app is telling you and go purely by the sticks. In my experience it has put my fertile days as way too early every time, it doesn’t even seem to update them after one month of realising I ovulated later than that 🤔 it’s good for once you reach your peak though and mark in ovulation, it then updates

MendaciousMabel · 20/10/2022 10:08

Keeping everything crossed for you @CheeryCupcake

6dpo today, I've woken up a few times in the night with a bit of cramping and nausea and just feeling off....? I'm also bloody tired 😴 will keep an eye on things and make a judgement on whether to test on 10dpo...

ScarletDreams · 20/10/2022 09:41

Hi everyone, hope you are all OK?

Can anyone help me understand the numbers with the ovulation tests, please 🙏.
It is my first month of tracking. I'm using premom and the easy@home kit. The app is telling me that I should be entering my 5 fertile days in 2 days time, I haven't tested yet today as its a little early still , but yesterday my reading was 0.3. The test I did 2 days before that was 0.21. It's registered them as low.
How high does this number need to reach over the next couple of days in order to confirm ovulation? X

CheeryCupcake · 20/10/2022 08:34

@ScaredSally @Ncl31 @TulipVictory Thanks everyone :) I've had 3 BFNs so far, so I suspect I'm probably just clutching at straws at this stage, but it's not over til AF arrives, right? 12/13 dpo today.

CreatingLittlePudding · 20/10/2022 08:23

Hey everyone 👋🏻 I'm 2dpo on Cycle 2. Feeling like I could be in with a chance this month as we've dtd every other day through my fertile window, and got a positive opk on cd12. Now to try and distract myself for the next 2 weeks!

TulipVictory · 20/10/2022 07:48

@CheeryCupcake I had the same yesterday at 9dpo but mine was just a pink jelly blob when I wiped which was weird!

I guess it could be implantation bleeding if it's stopped? With my previous pregnancy I had a little bit of fresh blood on the tissue when I wiped around implantation time 😊 best of luck 🤞

CheeryCupcake · 20/10/2022 07:01

OK, AF is officially late - should have arrived yesterday. Last two cycles have been 23 days exactly. I am hungry like all the time. Cramps have reduced and not constant, now and then the odd twinge. Hormones definitely not settled. I'm determined not to test again til Saturday, if still no AF by then, because I'm starting to obsess about it and need to stop.

That sounds promising.
AF is officially due tomorrow for me. I felt a heavy dull ache this morning as if AF was going to arrive. Nothing yet, but I’m sure it will.

sounds promising for you…. Fingers crossed

ScaredSally · 20/10/2022 07:05

@CheeryCupcake that sounds very promising though! Everything crossed for Saturday!

Okay so 7dpo, went for a bath, came out and thought I was bleeding. TMI but there was watered down brown blood on my towel. Put a pad on and marked on my app AF has arrived. An hour and a half later, still feeling sorry for myself but went to the toilet and there is no blood on my pad 🤔 Could it be implantation bleeding? I didn’t have that last time. It was definitely brown and hard to tell how much due to the fact I’d just came out the bath but not a lot. Is 7dpo the right day for it?

Sparklythings1 · 19/10/2022 22:46

@Brunette1989 gosh that’s ages, good on you for hanging in there, hope you get some good news soon 🤞🏼 My friend’s little one was conceived on clomid x

Brunette1989 · 19/10/2022 22:02

Hi everyone,
I've been on previous threads but came off for a few months to try and help myself. This will be our 16 month since miscarriage trying for first, which is just terrifying when I work it out. Waiting for NHS gyno which is 42 week wait, went private for a consultation as I found I could claim that back with work. He's booked me for a laproscopy and given me 4 months clomid. Has anyone been on clomid or know anyone that has to know if they can be successful? I seem to be ovulating, so he said for me it would be superovulation.

Sending you all lots of baby dust xx

Sparklythings1 · 19/10/2022 21:36

Think that’s me out, pretty sure AF has arrived 😩 Only cycle 2 so trying not to be too devastated but omg I am 🤣 Only two positives here is the fact I now don’t have to awkwardly make up excuses as to why I’m not drinking at a friends birthday this weekend and I didn’t even waste a single test since AF has turned up before 10dpo again this month

@Butterfliesandroses I use premom and Ovia, plus easy@home OPK and clear blue digi

I also use ovia. Have used it when I started trying for my first. Really like the app. I just use premom because it takes a picture of the opk and makes it easy to read!!

OP posts:
Sparklythings1 · 19/10/2022 20:21

@Butterfliesandroses premom and the easy at home tests here. Did clearblue alongside this last time, with the Ovia app too which now seems to be unavailable 🤔 It was probably overkill anyway! Decided to do without the clearblue ones when they do the same as what the easy at home ones do anyway. Confirmed it last time when they would peak on the same day, only disadvantage to the clearblue is the easy at home ones would tell you later on in the afternoon too whereas you’d need to wait til the next morning for it

Could I ask how most people are tracking ovulation dates? I'm using the fertility friend app and tracking BBT as that's what worked to conceive DD1 nearly 4 years ago but I wondered what works for everyone else?

I'm using premom and the ov sticks

OP posts:
Littleheart5 · 19/10/2022 19:20

I’m using Flo and OPKs (Clearblue), more OPKs because we weren’t having any luck and I thought it might be that Flo was off. But Flo was completely right, we just haven’t managed to conceive!
