Hi all just creating a new thread since the other one is almost full!!! Really really hoping this is our month, but not hopeful, DH is away with work for most of my FW and only comes home the day before I think I will ov. I've also injured my back!!!

Yep, all confuses me too, so perhaps I should be old fashioned and just wait rather than keep guessing! Wow, we pretty similar then! Cycles are 24-26 days long, which means AF is due 1-3 nov. To be sure, I will hold off testing until Friday 4th. Then if it’s negative I know for sure. In previous months I’ve tested early, blamed the test and been so angry for a few days! Or I get AF and assume it’s spotting, so again get very angry! Is this your first? Any symptoms?

Saribon · 30/10/2022 20:29

@Mammamia23 my cycles are only short so I’m due AF Friday

Saribon · 30/10/2022 20:28

@Mammamia23 I’m 8 dpo I’m sorry anything other than EWCM confuses me. It all seems the same apart from when it changes to EWCM for a couple of days and I can never really tell where I am at based on discharge.

What day will you test? I’m hoping to wait until Friday if I can

xx

Hi all. Was on his earlier but all notifications switched off! Trying for my 2nd and even though it’s only been 2 years I’ve forgotten everything.

I got my first peaks static smiley on 21 Oct - would that make ovulation 22nd? (although it felt like it was 21). If so, today I would be 8 dpo? I had some thick / creamy / sticky discharge on 6 DPO didn’t feel for it, but it was in my underwear - is that good news?? TTC like mad. Boobs have felt tingly for a few days in the way they feel before AF arrives. No nausea or tiredness. Lower back has felt dull too but I’m thinking / talking myself into feeling all the symptoms I think. Can anyone else relate to the discharge?

SillyOldBear3 · 30/10/2022 17:01

Joining! Month 3 of TTC baby #1.
Currently 1dpo, and my luteal phase is usually 10 days so my period is due 9th November!

Saribon · 30/10/2022 15:37

@ScaredSally I’ve just checked and I bought the Angus cactus the month after the chemical and that following month my luteal phase lasted a day longer than usual! Which is what I need to achieve. That’s probably why I took it at the time and maybe need to try again.

My chemical was really weird cos I ovulated on 13th and tested positive on 15th ! I still haven’t worked out what happened. Whether I ovulated super early or if the bleed I had at the start of the month had been implantation and I’d got caught the month prior. My tests progressed for a week then started to lighten and I eventually had a period three days later than it should have come

Saribon · 30/10/2022 15:21

@ScaredSally I took it all month so that’s something I need to consider as well. I clearly didn’t read enough about when it would work. I watched a YouTube video and the woman on that took it all cycle and continued to use it in the early days of her pregnancy but I’m betting she did her research and had a good reason to do that …….unlike Mrs Impulsive here 😃

Saribon · 30/10/2022 15:19

@ScaredSally its probs not wise for me with a shorter cycle then do you think? I am sure it prolonged my cycle the month I took it but can’t remember which month I took it now. I’m going to look on my Amazon history and look at my stats tonight at what it did. I took it hastily because I heard a lot of success stories but I didn’t know if it was the right thing for my given circumstances so I ended up not buying more. I really need to do some decent research. If I’m out this month that’s what I’m going to focus on next

Congratulations on your positive love 😍

x

ScaredSally · 30/10/2022 14:00

@Saribon i did Angus cactus at the start of this cycle and got my BFP - took every morning until ovulation but not after the LH peak. It's good for people with irregular or long cycles but isn't advised for people with normal 28day regular cycles

Saribon · 30/10/2022 13:16

@Purple29 too weird 😂 thanks for the vitamin list. I’m going to do more research and make a shopping list for next month x

Purple29 · 30/10/2022 12:49

@Saribon I take bud female fertility capsules (Holland and barrett) then I take omega supplements with dha, CoQ10 and thinking of starting red clover as well. I also used to be 28 days bur since having DS im also between 24-29 days, mostly 27 days. How strange, so similar. Again also tall but overweight!!

@Olegia no that won't affect it. For the first few weeks an embryo lives off the yolk sac anyway so alcohol would be unlikely to pass though. They take on more from us when the placenta takes over.

Saribon · 30/10/2022 11:56

yeah @Mummyme87 oh right! We have to go through some crap don’t we! I’m overweight too. I’m tall but heavy and I’m sure it’s another tick against me. I think I’m royally messing the BBT up because I wake up at a different times each day and I have had terrible sleep recently. It was good to see that my ovulation test correlated with the temp though

@Olegia in sure it’s fine. I don’t mean to be flippant but some people get hammered because they haven’t known they were pregnant and some don’t care and are fine. It’s such a negligible amount I’m sure your fine. Drink extra water if it makes you feel better to dilute it down maybe.

xx

Mummyme87 · 30/10/2022 11:47

@Saribon no, I had the ectopic in July 2020 and mirena coil October 2020. Abdominal surgery increases risk of ectopic, I have had gall bladder removal and Caesarean section.
I’ve spent a fortune of vitamins! My OH also takes a multivitamin, he’s just finished conceive plus and moved on to wellman conception again.

I always get a LH rise and peak, but it doesn’t confirm ovulation. I’ve tried doing BBT but can’t reliably do it, so many variables for me

Olegia · 30/10/2022 11:36

I've just had one of those ready-made dessert (chocolate mousse) from my local shop, and I thought it tasted a bit alcohol-ey, then I check and lo and behold, it was 1,3% alcohol! (the pot was 90g), so I consumed about 1 gram of alcohol, surely thats not enough to affect a potential embryo? (If I do turn out to be pregnant)

Saribon · 30/10/2022 11:04

@Mummyme87 so was the coil prior to the ectopic? I read that they can cause small abrasions to your uterus and that can increase the risk of ectopic. They can also introduce micro infections that clear up on their own but leave scar tissue?? I don’t know, I just wouldn’t recommend one for anyone without children I don’t think.

i wonder if I ovulate consistently. I’ve never tested progesterone but last cycle for instance I peaked on a test and there was no gradual increase just one high and back down again 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do seem to have a peak every month though

thank you for listing your vitamins. I’m going to buy some bits this month if I’m out. I’m taking folic acid and aspirin. The aspirin I just thought might help with blood flow to uterus which can help lining apparently

I did one month on Angus cactus and then panicked because I just didn’t know enough. I started worrying that I could be doing more harm than good in my ignorance. I’m going to read more about vitamin b6 because I heard that’s good for some reason or other

There is so much to this 😬

Mummyme87 · 30/10/2022 10:50

@Saribon I’m 36 in January and overweight which is not in my favour!
I have an 8yr old who was unplanned whilst on the pill, my 4yr old took 6cycles and my ectopic was totally unplanned. A week after finding out I was in hospital with severe pain. I had a mirena coil in October 2020 which was removed October 2021 and I’ve been ttc ever since. I don’t think I ovulate regularly, I’ve had some bloods done and my progesterone is a bit off… once was too low for ovulation, another borderline and the third confirmed ovulation. I may check again this cycle.

I take lots of vitamins, currently using conceive plus, CoQ10 300mg, vit C and D (on top of the multivitamin amount), omega 3 and vitamin B complex I’ve restarted this cycle. I read Vit B is good for luteal phase and increasing progesterone. I didnt use starflower oil this cycle which increases EWCM and could tell I hadn’t used it as wasn’t as much as it had been.

my luteal phase is now 12days, think it was pre coil aswell. My supposed ovulation day has been moving all over the place though, anywhere between CD11-15 based on OPKs. Im blaming having covid or the vaccines for this, I never had an issue before until now, and I’ve had three vaccines and three lots of covid since the ectopic.

Saribon · 30/10/2022 10:14

I wish I’d been more active on this thread from the start cos we’re all having similar experiences and It’s nice to have people who you can talk to x

Saribon · 30/10/2022 10:11

@Purple29 how strange 😃

I have no idea what my luteal phase was previously because I never took any notice. It might have always been short. I think I tended to have 28 day cycles and now I’m 23 - 27 so that’s changed and more often than not it’s 23 days. I wish I had been more aware when I was younger. I’ll def be learning my daughter to be more mindful

What other vitamins do you take ? This month I want to start with vitamins and a better diet so any advice would be much appreciated. Im thinking of booking in some acupuncture sessions too this month.

i bought a fertility cup last month but it didn’t arrive in time for O so I’ll use that this coming month as well

xx

Purple29 · 30/10/2022 10:02

Saribon · 30/10/2022 07:01

@BCxx Do you have a short luteal phase? Mine is 10 days and I worry about how light my periods are. They last like three days sometimes two and that makes me worry that I’m not producing a decent lining. I really need to look into what I can take to improve this stuff. I took Agni’s cactus for a month but stopped because I felt like I didn't understand enough about what I was doing to my body. I also only have one tube cos I had an ectopic oh and I’m 39 so I’m def up against it x

I could have written this, I also have very light AF, im 39 (40 in dec) and had an ectopic at the end of last year so lost a tube. Only thing different is my luteal phase seems to be 13-14 days.
My period was the same when I conceived DS. I was taking red clover. Not been taking it this time but I might add it to my list of vitamins!!!

Saribon · 30/10/2022 10:02

@Butterfliesandroses thank you. I’m not going to test until my AF is due because if I had another chemical I wouldn’t want to know. I’ll let you know 🤞 xx

Saribon · 30/10/2022 09:59

@Mummyme87 it’s awful isn’t it! Do you have other children?

I have three teenagers, I had the copper coil in after my youngest and it worked perfectly for about 8 years then it came out. I don’t know if it came out because I was pregnant or if I got instantly pregnant once it came out but that’s how I ended up with the ectopic. Not trying at all, had no idea just started with the weird symptoms for two week before I tested and knew instantly what was happening.

Fast forward to now and I’m in a new relationship. I was married 20 years and assumed my family was complete but my new partner is younger than me and would love a child so we’re giving it a shot. I had a chemical in July and nothing since. I never tried to get pregnant before, not actively. I was really lucky and just got caught easily so this is all new. I’m very, very lucky to have my children and I just hope I get one last chance for the sake of my partner

I will look up the fertility lady you mentioned

x

Mummyme87 · 30/10/2022 09:47

@Saribon fellow one tuber! I also had an ectopic, partially ruptured when I wasn’t ttc. Over 2years ago now.

not sure if anyone is on TikTok, I’m sure she’s on other social media sites but this woman came up who seems to be a fertility therapist and fairly knowledgeable - fertility Rewire.

Butterfliesandroses · 30/10/2022 09:31

@Saribon sounds exactly like me, fingers crossed for you! Xx

Saribon · 30/10/2022 09:27

@UserL95 ill give it a try, surely can’t hurt. I’ve been Googling this morning and a lot said that good diet, high protein after ovulation helps xx

Saribon · 30/10/2022 09:24

@Butterfliesandroses congratulations by the way ❤️
