@Olegia are you in the UK? I would suggest waiting until you get passed the day AF is due. Personally I would probably do another test in a couple of days also (who am I kidding. I would probs be testing every day). Once passed AF day if in the UK, self refer to the hospital with maternity services that you want, usually can do it online and they will be in touch. If you aren’t in the UK I’m not too sure

Saribon · 31/10/2022 11:34

I think it depends on your area. We self refer to maternity services ourselves so don’t need to go to GP x

Olegia · 31/10/2022 11:17

@Saribon Aw, sending lots of hugs! Looking back on photos of moments/people really makes you emotional doesn't it! xx

I actually don't really know what to do with myself now, am I meant to call my GP? Take another test to confirm first? Choose a gyneco?

Saribon · 31/10/2022 11:12

Just enjoy it the best you can love! It seems like it takes forever but one day you will look back and realised it passed in a heart beat! Record everything, so you can look back one day.

My eldest is 19 today and I’m an emotional wreck. It’s probs pre-menstrual hormones but I’ve cried three times already lol! I’m working a late shift , I really should be getting ready for work but I’m looking at his baby photos instead lol

Olegia · 31/10/2022 10:48

@Mummyme87 @Saribon You're the sweetest, thank you! <3
What a wild ride I'm about to embark on, should that happen, I'm both not believing these tests, scared, and excited
I will just do one more test, possibly in 2 days rather than tommorow, so the line is very positive.

Thank you all for such amazing support

Saribon · 31/10/2022 10:44

@Olegia that second one especially ! Just don’t stress over it.

Try and not test all of the time. It’s a trend we all seem to do but I don’t think it does us any good. When I had my kids there weren’t internet cheapies so you couldn’t afford to buy £10 tests all the time so you tested once and then waited for 12 week scan. Obviously that had its down sides but I do think the line progression stuff is negative.

I did that last time I was pregnant, I tested every day sometimes more and I was obsessed and it didn’t change anything just gave me more anxiety. Next time I’m going to keep testing to the minimum

Just let yourself enjoy it love. There is a hell of a lot to be said for positive thoughts ❤️

I’m wishing you all the best and happy and healthy 9 months. Maybe use a FRER test to double check but I’m sure that’s a positive xx

Saribon · 31/10/2022 10:39

I suppose no one can say for sure but they def look clearly positive to me love. When I was last pregnant earlier this year that’s what my first test looked like xx

Olegia · 31/10/2022 10:37

Oh my goodness, are you all sure? I feel like this can't be true, I'm just attaching another photo of that same test, I did take the photo 1 hour and 30mn later (so obviously a bit flawed) but what the heck??

I imagine the darkening is due to the evaporation right?

Hoping for a BFP October/November
Saribon · 31/10/2022 10:33

@Olegia that’s positive lovely!! Congratulations xx

Mummyme87 · 31/10/2022 10:28

100% line, and looks pink. A tentative congratulations @Olegia I didn’t even have to click on the photos to see the line

Olegia · 31/10/2022 09:36

@thelma57 ok! I am so incapable of waiting, but I will test again tommorow morning, that's the max I can hold out.
I feel like I'm going crazy looking at those lines haha

thelma57 · 31/10/2022 09:31

@Olegia I wouldn’t test again today, you’re still very early (but I know I would 😅) test in the morning or wait a couple of days if you can! HCG when present doubles once every 2 days.

Olegia · 31/10/2022 09:27

thelma57 · 31/10/2022 09:19

@Olegia I see it! It looks like it has colour too, how many DPO are you?

I’ve used these tests quite a bit and whenever I get indents or evaps their very grey 🤞

I'm only 11DPO!! But weirdly I haven't had many symptoms the past few days, so I really find it weird... I also don't really produce EWCM, so I always thought the little swimmers never even got to my egg

Should I test a bit later today too? This was a FRER

Olegia · 31/10/2022 09:03

I'm definitely making this line up, right? There's no way I'm seeing a faint line...

Olegia · 31/10/2022 09:02

Ok so I've just picked up the tests from the post point, and anxiously waited for the results to show up (this is my first ever pregnancy test, I only know how to test with LH strips and I never really look at faint lines for LH strips), but apparently in an HCg test a faint line is enough to show that Hcg is being secreted..

What do you all think of this? I initially couldn't see anything, and after a minute or so this very very faint line appeared (you kind of have to tilt it towards the light)

Very very nervous right now

@Saribon Thanks! I'm really not expecting anything at 11DPO though... let's see

Saribon · 31/10/2022 07:54

@Olegia good luck! I really hope you get a positive. Let us know xx

Olegia · 31/10/2022 07:15

Happy Monday everyone <3

I dreamt that night that I had a strong positive.... Why do brains do that to us? (I've had a similar dream a few days ago too).

I'm 11 DPO now and I think I'll cave and do a FRER (period is due Friday, I have a long-sih luteal phase of 15 days)... I won't be too upset if it's negative, given that can still turn into a positive later on.. Good luck @Saribon and @Mammamia23 , you're much stronger willed than I am!

ScaredSally · 31/10/2022 06:01

@Daisy155 thank you! My nausea is just about starting which gives me peace of mind. Im having an amniocentesis as soon as I can at 16 weeks to rule out them having the same terminal diagnosis as their brother, though that feels ages away I'm keeping everything crossed
i wish you the best pregnancy too! Pregnancy after loss is fucking awful, especially after third trimester/full term losses, there's no 'safe zone' to get to

Daisy155 · 31/10/2022 00:30

@ScaredSally I had come to check up on you and I hope you are ok!

I am so happy for you and I can imagine the feelings you are having as we have had the same journey, I hope and pray you will have the healthiest pregnancy journey ever you deserve this and I am sending you so much love! ❤️

Daisy155 · 31/10/2022 00:20

Good luck to everyone @Saribon and @Mammamia23 hope you get your BFP and stay strong in the next coming days so you can test later!

TTC begins again, been exercising more and eating healthy food plus vitamins. I feel very calm about this cycle and not feeling any pressure really like I did last cycle.

I feel like since AF finished I have not been on here or thinking too much about ttc but just to get myself healthy and also getting my second blood tests done this week. I keep asking for different blood tests, I want to be 100% and know more about my well-being so that this time I am more knowledgeable.

I hope everyone is well and @Olegia you will be ok that’s not a lot of alcohol to affect the embryo/ baby. Don’t stress yourself out that’s not good x 💕

Saribon · 30/10/2022 21:32

@Mammamia23 I think a toddler is probably double the work of three teenagers. If I’m lucky enough to have another baby I will have the help of my 14 yo daughter which is nice.

The uterus thing felt like a braxton hicks contraction, like the same really tense feeling but I don’t think you get many braxton hicks with your first. I think they get worse with every pregnancy so maybe I am pregnant and it’s my poor old uterus screaming at me to get a grip and act my age 😂😂

lets hope Friday is both our lucky days love

x

Mammamia23 · 30/10/2022 21:10

@Saribon omfg! 3 teenagers!! My superhero! Sorry you’ve had hard experiences lately. I’ve got an 18 month old, and have forgotten everything - I even bad to remind myself when the fertile window is!

ive never had a heavy uterus feeling, but I do feel twinges here and there - but that could be because I’m lazy, getting old, and tired and the toddler!!! Yes we need to be super patient to hold off until Friday 🤞🤞

Saribon · 30/10/2022 21:05

@Mammamia23 no I have three teenagers! I’ve also had a miscarriage at ten weeks, an ectopic and a chemical so a mixed bag of experiences 🤣

I haven’t had any symptoms , my uterus felt heavy and firm the other day but that’s it. Usually, I know I’m pregnant because my boobs really hurt but I can’t remember how early that starts and when I got pregnant earlier this year I wasn’t sure on dates so I’m trying not overthink the lack of boob pain.

I’m trying really hard not to pay attention to any symptoms , I never had strong sickness with my other pregnancies. I tended to go off tea and coffee but this was a later thing I think and I sometimes got headaches.

I’m trying to be really chill and nonchalant this month ✌️ 😃 if I can get to Friday without testing I will be mega pleased with myself

is this your first did you say?
