@FfayeN @Indianna2006 @HalWin2221 Thanks so much for your reassuring words. I'm going to step away from the tests now as with my other pregnancies my tests progressed perfectly and it still didn't turn out well, so I'm not sure it's helpful for me!

@Mariabombia I did have a scan with the second, but it was at the EPU and I had started bleeding so knew what the outcome was going to be. Didn't make it easier to hear somehow. I've had 6 ultrasounds in total and have yet to experience good news at one, I just cannot imagine what that must feel like.
I totally understand why you wouldn't want an early scan! I think it's also hard to imagine a positive outcome when you haven't had one before. I'm trying my very best to think positive and distract myself as much as possible from spiralling. I think others have mentioned it before, but I sort of feel in limbo land- I daren't join a pregnancy thread; I haven't even worked out my due date. One day at a time!

@Luna57 great news that things are moving for you! They won't care at all about the blood but I can understand why you might not want to go through that. They just laid what looked like a massive puppy pad under me 😂 not dignified at all.

mummatara · 19/10/2022 13:07

@LuckyMoonstone yes they want to check what the level is doing before they book me a scan. It's the longest I've had to wait for one was so annoying

LuckyMoonstone · 19/10/2022 12:49

@mummatara what is your test for, to check hcg levels are coming down? This is exactly why I loved that they kept booking all my blood tests for Saturdays & Sundays, the ward was practically empty!

@Luna57 so we’re kinda in the same boat, waiting for MCs to finish and cheering for negative tests!

Luna57 · 19/10/2022 11:52

Hi ladies, not much of an update but I done a pregnancy test and it’s v v faint now hallelujah! Still bleeding, it’s day 11 but I’m feeling optimistic that hcg will leave my system soon. I feel like I want to cancel my scan, I don’t want to go in with blood literally dripping out of me. With my last Mc I only bled for 48 hours max. I must of had a drastic hormone drop because I’ve had the worst headache the last 2 days.

hope everyone is ok!

TheBirdintheCave · 19/10/2022 11:47

@bunnykins123 Yeah we went down the IVF route in 2019/2020 and I became one of those women who got pregnant right before it (literally found out the day before cycle 1 was due to start) :) I think it was the HyCoSy that did it for me. What tests do you have left?

mummatara · 19/10/2022 11:00

I've been waiting at the hospital for an hour for this blood test 🙄 goderrrrrrr I wanted to be in and out and get on with my day

lovenaps · 19/10/2022 10:48

@ChickenT2b I do have a late positive test story. I tested positive late with my first pregnancy, it could have been 12 or 13 DPO, maybe even a day or two later.
And although the pregnancy did not end well, there was HB so it shows late positive is possible and everything can still grow and develop. Missed m/c could have happened due to some genetic issue so please don't think that late positive equals bad news x ❤Wishing all the best and that you get the outcome you want.

FfayeN · 19/10/2022 10:41

@TheBirdintheCave that's a really good price for both of you for pre-fertility checks and I've heard good things about Kings. I hope it either gives you an answer or provides you with reassurance to just keep trying 🥰.

@ChickenT2b I believe you can implant anytime from 6-12 days, although it would be late. When is AF due? There could have been a dip at 10dpo I think looking at your chart?
Might be worth testing again tomorrow or Friday. It is hard to not get your hopes up xx

Thank you all re advise on aspirin. I’ve since read this in prof Regan’s recurrent miscarriage book and now I’m thinking it might not be the best idea for me (because she reckons that unless you have a blood clotting condition, taking aspirin due to previous early miscarriage could make you more likely to miscarry).

@Indianna2006 that's such an amazing scan photo, you must be absolutely over the moon 🥰♥️ thank you for sharing, I'm guessing a girl but I have no idea how to tell lol.

@theblueflowers bless you, we're trying for number 1 too. So sorry to hear about your losses, did you have a scan with your second pregnancy? I know how you feel , it's just awful. I started crying in Cosco last night as I was telling my dh that I didn't think this pregnancy or any will be successful, I just feel so scared and anxious about it. Think we've decided not to go for an early scan and just see what happens .

ChickenT2b · 19/10/2022 09:55

@thebirdinthecave yes very silly question of me 🙈 I don’t have any tests and can’t keep throwing money down the drain at this rate every month 🤣. So I guess that answers my own question 😬. Guess I am hoping for some late BFP stories 🤞🏼

bunnykins123 · 19/10/2022 09:41

@HJA87 I've tried it but it didn't work for me. I was on it solidly for about 3 months and I've stopped this cycle and I also took it from 3dpo on a successful BFP cycle. In my view, it's worth trying to see if it helps - you see so many women have success with it but it's not a certainty as it really depends on the reasons you miscarry. If you take it, it's the low dose one 81mg or something like that once a day. Obviously if you have any health conditions or concerns, it's worth speaking to your GP first.

@calimc83 lollll what am I not on! I rattle with the amount of meds I'm on 😂

bunnykins123 · 19/10/2022 09:38

@TheBirdintheCave it's good you're being proactive. We are having our final tests done over the next few weeks and will then make a decision from there. I hear of lots of women conceiving before having IVF so here's hoping 🤞 have you had any tests done before?

@ChickenT2b it's hard to tell really. I would keep testing as that's really the only way to know. For what's it's worth, my temp drops after AF arrives 🤦‍♀️

TheBirdintheCave · 19/10/2022 09:22

@ChickenT2b I think all you can do is keep testing. That graph does look really promising though :)

ChickenT2b · 19/10/2022 09:03

Here’s my graph..

ChickenT2b · 19/10/2022 09:02

Morning all!
I’ve been quiet whilst I process my string of BFNs. The latest being yesterday at 12dpo on CB ultra early non digi.
However… today my temperature spiked like proper spiked from 36.55 to 36.92 (off the scale). When I was pregnant the first time I found out because my temp was 36.95 so I decided to test on day 33.

So question is, what do I do now? I feel like writing this message I have already got my hopes up but it’s probably just a blip 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’ve read in historical forums ladies getting their BFPs late on but everyone nowadays seem to get them really early!!

p.s. Beautiful line @ffayen

TheBirdintheCave · 19/10/2022 08:44

@ChloeN Yeah I get a scan and some blood tests and my husband gets a sperm analysis then we have a chat with a consultant and receive a written report.

ChloeN · 19/10/2022 08:36

@TheBirdintheCave does it just check if things are working okay for you both? I’m so early on in this journey but sometimes I feel like going for a fertility check just to make sure everything’s okay, I’m so anxious about it all the time😐

TheBirdintheCave · 19/10/2022 08:25

I'm taking the plunge today and booking us in for a couples pre IVF fertility check at Kings in London. It should save us some money in the long run if we do end up going for IVF in a few months as that's our chosen clinic. It's £450 x__x

calimc83 · 19/10/2022 07:33

@HJA87 Hey, re aspirin. I've been taking it since I was around 6 weeks with this current pregnancy. It's self prescribed, my midwife said she couldn't 'prescribe' it to me but if it was her, then she'd take it. I saw the consultant Monday and she said it wouldn't do any harm. I'm sure @bunnykins123 takes it as well ( or maybe I've completely made that up ). If you look online there's various schools of thought on it, try looking at the research papers as well xxx

HJA87 · 18/10/2022 23:00

@lovenaps fingers crossed for nice thick lines only for you this time! X I’ll do some more research re aspirin and hopefully will make my mind up as to what I want to do before the next BFP (should I be lucky to get one so soon).

lovenaps · 18/10/2022 22:33

@HJA87 forgot to reply re baby aspiring. I have seen on a few threads here that people have self-prescribed!

lovenaps · 18/10/2022 22:29

@HJA87 not ridiculous and totally understandable ❤I was feeling the same when experiencing a CP, I swear CP gives people some sort of PTSD for POAS!
How are you feeling today? x

HJA87 · 18/10/2022 21:47

@lovenaps that’s a good sign. The testing anxiety is real. I was a wreck every day before testing until my MC on Sunday, it’s almost a relief I don’t have to that anymore (which is a ridiculous way to think about it, I know).

Has anyone self prescribed baby aspirin following recurrent miscarriages? I’m debating whether or not try it next time I get a BFP. I’m currently waiting for my recurrent miscarriages blood panel results but I’ve been told some will take several weeks and I could potentially ovulate in a couple of weeks so most likely before the results are in.

lovenaps · 18/10/2022 21:40

@LuckyMoonstone saw there has been some progress, hopefully this nightmare will soon be over for you!
