@HalWin2221 i know, whereas before I just knew it was over the pains were awful and I don’t normally get cramps with af so this is strange. But what just came out of me there it must have been a huge chunk of what was in there.

@HJA87 sorry you’ve had to endure so many loses. This will be my 2nd miscarriage in 3 months. Must be very unlucky for it to happen 3 times in a row. Unlucky and heartbreaking. Will you try again if they can’t find a reason? I have been going through the numb and sobbing stages too. Some times you think you’ve come to peace with it and it’s one of those things and then it switches and you’re in tears thinking you can’t even carry a child, literally what our bodies were made for. Have you any children?

HJA87 · 16/10/2022 16:22

@HalWin2221 on one hand, if the tests are getting lighter you can prepare yourself but on the other hand you then have to wait for the bleed and it’s agony. Once I start bleeding at least it’s a relief that it’s resolving and a start of a new cycle.

Im really hoping this is it for you and all of this will be a distant memory very soon x

HalWin2221 · 16/10/2022 16:20

@HJA87 its so hard to not become obsessed with it though isn’t it! You’ve got to do whatever helps during that time.
I’m going to test tomorrow, then after that I’m not going to let nature do it’s thing, whatever will be will be! 🤞🏽

@Luna57 this week has been especially hard hasn’t it! Have you rang the epu to see if they could scan you any earlier? It is strange your not having cramps isn’t it!

HJA87 · 16/10/2022 16:19

@Luna57 so sorry to hear that, sounds like we’re in a similar place right now 😥

I go from acting normal to crying/throwing things/punching the walls lol.

HJA87 · 16/10/2022 16:17

@HalWin2221 sounds like our situations are very similar then. I had 2 pregnancies in the last 2 cycles were I bled at 4.6/5 weeks. I had a very short lived chemical the month before that but that one wasn’t that hard because I started bleeding before I could get properly excited about the BFP. So I’ve been pregnant 3 times in the last 3 months basically 🤦🏻‍♀️I’m doing some tests now to try and see if there is something underlying causing it but the consultant told me that even though I’ve had 2 (she doesn’t know about the third yet) it’s still most likely due to bad luck … which isn’t helpful.

Luna57 · 16/10/2022 16:15

So sorry for everyone feeling down, I think baby loss awareness has affected us all maybe without knowing. I’ve spent half the day crying in secret and even tearing up in the queue in Asda and having to snap myself out of it. I’ve been having heavy bleeding along with large clots around the size of 5p’s so I know for certain nothing can survive that. Just annoying how I’ve had no cramps! I stopped cyclogest Friday morning as during Friday afternoon I noticed a couple wee clots so knew it was over. I stupidly took a test earlier and was still blazing positive so I’m hoping it won’t be a long road to a negative. Currently day 8 of bleeding and it doesn’t seem to be slowing any, still bright red. I’ve a scan in 8 days to confirm everything and hoping they’re not gonna make me have another miscarriage before doing even any simple blood tests. I just worry it’s me and I can’t carry anymore children. That’s my update and sob story over sorry 😂 just one of those days. Hope everyone is ok and coping well!

HJA87 · 16/10/2022 16:12

@HalWin2221 regarding testing, if it’s stressful maybe try holding off. I had a mini panic attack before my daily test each day. I was then reassured for a whole of 10 mins of it was darker before starting to stress about the next day. None of this changed the outcome and I was dehydrating myself in the process to have a good sample to dip my tests in 🤦🏻‍♀️I actually reached a new level of crazy the other day when I kept 4 of my wee pots from previous days to compare the darkness of the wee and how it might impact the results. My DH told me I was losing it only to then join me on in rating the darkness of my wee when we got an inconclusive test one day. It’s both tragic and comical honestly.

I think maybe next time I’ll test until I have a clear positive and then wait past the point I always miscarry to test again. Could you try doing the same maybe? X

HalWin2221 · 16/10/2022 16:11

@HJA87 thanks lovely. Sorry to hear that you’ve been through such a hard time, I hope you’re being kind to yourself. 🤍
ive had 2 miscarriages on my last 2 cycles and bled both times at 5 weeks (had bloods taken both time). I know it’s so hard to not blame yourself but it’s nothing you have done, it’s just one of those really shitty things 🙁 how do you feel about trying again?

HJA87 · 16/10/2022 16:05

congrats @HalWin2221. Try to stay hopeful although I know it’s really hard. My bad outcome doesn’t mean you won’t have a good one this time.

I had my first positive on 11 DPO. I started bleeding today (5 days past my expected period date). It’s also almost identical to my last chemical last month, the only difference was I tested at 8dpo then. For reference I had my HCG tested and it was only 8 miu on the day I took the 12 DPO test and 20 miu on 14 DPO. I was assured that they were still in range and were doubling which was the important thing but looking back now, I knew something was off with them being so low. I did also have a really bad stomach bug which I had caught from my toddler 2 days ago and can’t help to think it didn’t help things.

HalWin2221 · 16/10/2022 15:27

@HJA87 did you start to bleed on what would be your period or couple of days after?
I took a FRER at 8 dpo and got a faint positive, I’m so scared to test again :(

HJA87 · 16/10/2022 15:22

Oh I don’t think my attachment uploaded properly but these were my tests (sorry they’re a bit yellow and gross). When you look up chemical pregnancies online people usually only get faint lines so I agree that a good progression/strong lines don’t guarantee a good outcome (yet I continue to obsess and test every time).

HJA87 · 16/10/2022 14:48

@lovenaps so sorry to hear, that must have been heartbreaking especially after the reassurance of a HB:(

Mine are more similar to your chemical. Lines get strong and then fade. Last time they started getting lighter gradually whereas this time I had a very strong line yesterday (pic attached) and then today the bleed started unexpectedly. I tested today and the line is so much fainter so it happened very suddenly.

I’m hoping for a good outcome for you this time, 3rd time lucky hopefully 🤞🏻🤞🏻

lovenaps · 16/10/2022 14:23

*or heartbeat
Sorry for all the typos!

lovenaps · 16/10/2022 14:22

*got to a nice point

lovenaps · 16/10/2022 14:16

@HJA87 my first pregnancy was a missed m/c after a fetal heart was already seen on the scan.
Second one was just under 5 weeks so technically a biochemical, lines got a nice point and then stopped getting darker, then started fading.
So if that makes sense, I know that lines (even very clear) of fetal heartbeat on an ultrasound do not necessarily equal good outcome... SUPER cautious.

HJA87 · 16/10/2022 14:10

@lovenaps tentative congrats! What was your previous history like with miscarriage(s)? Sorry I’m fairly new to their thread. I know it’s hard but try to think positively.

lovenaps · 16/10/2022 14:06

@ChloeN thank you for sharing your experience ❤
I know it's too early to be jumping with joy, will wait and re-test on Tue or Wed x Will just try to take each day as it comes for now.

ChloeN · 16/10/2022 13:58

@lovenaps i can see them too☺️ when I’ve done them before they were always really negative! I was like you with them last month thinking they were indents but don’t think they were in the end!

lovenaps · 16/10/2022 13:38

@HalWin2221 thank you ❤

HalWin2221 · 16/10/2022 13:11

@lovenaps definitely pink lines!! 🤞🏽

lovenaps · 16/10/2022 13:02

@HJA87 @TheBirdintheCave @LuckyMoonstone Thank you so much ladies, it means so much ❤xx

LuckyMoonstone · 16/10/2022 12:49

@lovenaps they look like much more than indents to me

TheBirdintheCave · 16/10/2022 12:47

@lovenaps Definitely not indents! :D

HJA87 · 16/10/2022 12:40

@lovenaps they’re definitely positive. That’s what mine looked like this time when I first got the BFP. DH told me I was crazy. Mine also have very visible indent pre dipping but it’s true that they disappear if negative x

lovenaps · 16/10/2022 12:39

Please believe me when I say the lines are 2x more visible in real life... Very rubbish phone quality...
