@LuckyMoonstone thank goodness for that! What a palava for you but glad it seems to be sorting itself out now

LuckyMoonstone · 17/10/2022 11:04

Thank god my hcg is down to like 40 something now and I'm properly bleeding this morning like a period so I'm taking this as the first day of a new cycle, my body has obviously realised now that there's nothing left! I knew from all the gunk that’s been coming out of me the last few days that it was finally clearing out 😂
@FfayeN it has been a bit ridiculous but it is good how they’ve given me instant access to the EPU throughout it all. So now the MC fiasco is over, my next appointment is early Nov to see the nice doctor at my GP practice about potentially getting my thyroid sorted and hopefully get my pesky cycles under control 👍

We are having a month off from TTC because I don’t want to be pregnant at Christmas! Will try again in December, hopefully I’ll ovulate sort of mid to late December so no chance of accidentally getting a BFP right before the big day and having to hide it 😅

TheBirdintheCave · 17/10/2022 10:42

@Mariabombia Have you eaten curries or anything with turmeric on days before you notice the yellow? No idea if that would affect it but it's an idea 😂

Ordinarily I would imagine that's what happened but I got O pains as usual and was temping so I saw the dip and rise. It makes no sense.

Mariabombia · 17/10/2022 10:33

@TheBirdintheCave I'm only on vit d and normal folic acid though as I would think the same. It's normal and clear/white and then random bits of yellow.

That is baffling about your period btw, do you think you O'd a lot later than usual?

TheBirdintheCave · 17/10/2022 10:20

@FfayeN No spotting, no cramps, nothing whatsoever. I just feel totally normal. The only thing I changed this month was starting to temp. I am baffled.

mummatara · 17/10/2022 10:12

@cocoforbes welcome and sorry you're here but everyone in this group is a fab support bubble 💕

@Indianna2006 good luck today hope it isn't too stressful waiting at work

Luna57 · 17/10/2022 10:03

@MrsCristianoX I’m so sorry you’re feeling so low and dd is sensing it. It’s like having dogs. One wee tear could come down my cheek and my wee dog would come over and lick it. She’s been extremely needy with me this pregnancy to the point where she’s on edge when ds comes near. She loves ds but I think she knew I needed protection.

@HJA87 i have a ds who is 13 months and I was the same. First cycle and no complications. I kick myself every day from the first mc because I had bonding issues from bump to ds being 4 weeks old. I didn’t realise in my mind that there was a baby inside me so every scan etc they weren’t exciting because it was just expected yep there’s a leg, there’s a heartbeat. Even when he was born, because it was emergency forceps I never seen or felt him coming out I couldn’t put 2 and 2 together. I remember just handing him to dh and I was numb. I could barely care for ds for a couple weeks after because of the pain I was in with a massive episiotomy. And was only one day I watched him napping at 4 weeks old and I just cried and thought omg that’s my son and it clicked! I’ve been obsessed with him ever since and never been more in love.

@cocoforbes so sorry you’ve found yourself on this threat. It’s a great support group we are all like minded. When I told my mum last night about having another mc she was very sympathetic but said the timing just wasn’t right. Which rattled me 😂 so sometimes coming here can give you more support than ‘just wasn’t meant to be’ 😂 I’m sure that was a shock finding out you had coeliac disease without having symptoms. How have you found the gluten free diet?

@calimc83 thats lovely to have a wee surprise. Have you 2 dd? I always said to dh the next one we wouldn’t find out the gender. I knew from day 1 with ds he was a boy so wasn’t shocked when they told us at 16 weeks. But I swore with the next successful pregnancy I wouldn’t even look at the heartbeat to see how fast or slow it was beating or read up on old wives tales I just wanted it to be a complete surprise. Hope these 2 weeks fly in for you!

FfayeN · 17/10/2022 09:53

@cocoforbes sorry to hear of your ordeal. It's crazy how coeliac can affect it. I have hashimotos and that's closely linked to gluten intolerances, the range of stuff available now is phenomenal so hopefully you've found that aspect manageable 🥰. Wishing you all the best for a successful next pregnancy.

@TheBirdintheCave why do our bodies do this on the months we find the hardest! Do you have any symptoms of AF or any spotting? Have you added any supplements? When I took myo-inositol it wreaked havoc with my cycles and symptoms. (Sorry if I've asked this already this thread moves so fast it's hard to keep up and remember individual circumstances as we're all so similar)

@LuckyMoonstone I'm sorry but your local trust has been really bad at supporting you. I've never heard of medical professionals being so unreliable. This is dragging for you and it shouldn't be that way. I can only imagine how frustrated you feel, stick in there, hopefully the end is in sight.

@theblueflowers how are you doing lovely? Xx

TheBirdintheCave · 17/10/2022 09:34

@Mariabombia I had yellow CM every now and then with my last pregnancy. I put it down to the pregnancy vitamins.

@bunnykins123 Yeah I've ordered some more cheapies but they don't arrive until tomorrow. I guess for now all I can do is wait. I couldn't even temp this morning as I got up to pee too near 7am so it would have been invalid 🙄

LuckyMoonstone · 17/10/2022 09:34

@cocoforbes that’s a hell of a lot to go through xx

Mariabombia · 17/10/2022 09:29

Ahh sorry dumb question but what's that? 🤣 @calimc83

I'm okayyy had a bit of yellow CM again this morning (haven't had it for a week now) so feel a bit annoyed at seeing that again. It must be slight spotting but I don't understand how I could have implantation bleeding at 4 weeks, 5 weeks and now 6? If it's not spotting then I don't understand what's making it yellow, I don't have any signs of an infection.

@cocoforbes welcome!! So sorry to hear about your story but glad you're getting the tests and support now. Shocking to read about celiac diagnosis and how that may have an affect ♥️

bunnykins123 · 17/10/2022 09:26

@TheBirdintheCave oh wow that's unusual. Will you get some more tests? I guess the fact AF hasn't arrived is a good sign but so confusing with the negative tests!

@LuckyMoonstone oh hun that's SO annoying. Hopefully you get a call from them today and have some answers.

TheBirdintheCave · 17/10/2022 09:23

@LuckyMoonstone How annoying that they didn't call when they said they would! I hope you hear from them today.

LuckyMoonstone · 17/10/2022 09:21

@calimc83 18 weeks already! Wow that’s gone fast
@MrsCristianoX hope you’re ok this morning chick x

Im bleeding today more like a period but still not painful at all. And no call from the hospital yet! I’ll have to ring them in a bit

cocoforbes · 17/10/2022 09:05

@TheBirdintheCave thanks! Hope so for you too! It's so annoying when your cycles are out of whack! Mine have been a bit all over the place since my last mc, they are normally around 30 days. I had two normal after then the third was 40 days! The next two were 33 so down a bit but still not normal for me.

TheBirdintheCave · 17/10/2022 08:07

@theblueflowers Yep though I ran out of tests again so couldn't today. Everything negative so far.

theblueflowers · 17/10/2022 08:04

@TheBirdintheCave that's mad! Have you been testing?

TheBirdintheCave · 17/10/2022 07:49

@cocoforbes Welcome! I hope your stay here isn't long now that you've found the problem :) (fingers crossed)

...

17dpo for me now. AF still a no show 🤷🏻‍♀️

cocoforbes · 16/10/2022 23:55

Hi everyone 👋

I've just come back to mumsnet after a bit of a break and this seems like such a lovely supportive thread so thought I'd join if you don't mind. I’m not actively ttc right now but hoping to start again in January next year. But it’s nice starting to dip my feet back into this community.

I haven't been able to read everyone's stories yet but so sorry for what everyone is going through. Whether it’s a mc, ttc after loss or pregnant after loss, it's so so hard. I truly think everyone is so amazingly brave for continuing to go after their dreams after such heartache.

Hope you don’t mind if I share my story so far. Sorry for the very long post!!

I’m 35 and started ttc last year for our first. To our surprise and joy we fell pregnant in the first cycle but started bleeding at 6 weeks, miscarriage was seen from a scan a few days later. It was awful, I’ve never cried so much but we knew the odds and felt hopeful that this was just bad luck and we still had a good chance next time. We took a bit of a break to get married and started ttc again in October. After some months of poas and BFNs we got a positive in January just before my af was due. However, I started bleeding a few days later, so it was a chemical this time, confirmed by a BFN. DH was very upset I’d tested so early. It’s been hard as he has a very laid back attitude to it all whereas I have become obsessed, like to have all the knowledge and do things to try to increase our odds as much as possible, which has caused quite a bit of tension during our first year of marriage unfortunately. But we carried on and fell pregnant again the next month. I was so tense and scared, I was literally just getting through each day to the first scan which we were able to have at 7 weeks. We were so hopeful as we’d got further along than ever, it seemed like this was going to be our time! But at the scan they couldn’t see a heartbeat so sent us away for 2 weeks, mmc was confirmed at that second scan and I opted for medical management. For a few days after the news I was numb and just didn’t know what to do with myself, went through the whole medical management process and all that that entails then started really researching recurrent miscarriage. Got a referral to the St Mary’s clinic in London and asked my GP to do all the tests Tommy’s recommends on their website.

Still waiting for the results of the initial tests from St Mary’s. GP tests came back all clear bar one - I discovered I had Coeliac disease. Completely asymptomatic but recurrent miscarriages can be the only symptom that you may get. I’ve now been gluten free for 3 months but it may take longer for the antibodies to reduce. Still not sure if this is the problem. We won’t know until we start trying again I suppose and even then it’s hard to be 100% certain. But in a way I am hoping it is, as at least there is a chance I can treat it through diet and have a healthy baby 🤞🤞🤞

MrsCristianoX · 16/10/2022 22:55

@FfayeN fybogel worked for me too xx

calimc83 · 16/10/2022 22:27

@theblueflowers 😆 don't worry about it! I totally get the loo fear..I'm 18 weeks and it's still going strong over here I'm afraid 🙈..I think it's so hard not to test for progression..xx

calimc83 · 16/10/2022 22:25

@lovenaps ohhhh that definitely looks positive to me! 😬💕 so happy for you @bunnykins123 good to hear from you, that's great news you're getting some further tests done. Fingers crossed everything comes back ok! I don't know too much about NK cells at all I'm afraid 😧 so can't offer any advice. How long do they reckon it takes for the meds to kick in? 20 week scan is in 2 weeks...argh! Nope not finding out this time ( famous last words)..@Mariabombia im ok! Trying to take each day as it comes. This anterior placenta is a head fk though! How are u doing? @Indianna2006 wishing u all the luck in the world for tomorrow, it'll be just fine. I know it xxx

mummatara · 16/10/2022 21:46

@MrsCristianoX yes it was. I was telling my friend but I couldn't remember for the life of me and literally just after I posted it floated back into my brain 🤦🏼‍♀️

MrsCristianoX · 16/10/2022 21:25

@mummatara sneak peak? I think

HJA87 · 16/10/2022 21:19

@Luna57 yes I have one DD, she’s nearly too. I do feel lucky to have her and only now appreciate how easy it was with her (pregnant on second cycle and no complications). I just assumed it would be the same this time … how naive! The longer this takes the larger the age gap plus I’m also not getting any younger so I’m starting to panic a little now😩
