@Indianna2006 how amazing!! 🥲 congratulations lovely & thanks for sharing your scan - it’s giving me the hope I needed today!

Indianna2006 · 17/10/2022 17:20

Okay so scan all went well😊. Waited ages to go in though 😩

NT measurement was low which was good. Baby was very active. Moving about and dancing all over the place. Moved ahead 3 days so am now 13 +2.
Got a very clear photo and a VERY good clear nub shot so give me your guesses ladies. I’m thinking maybe another girl?!

Feels a bit surreal tbh!

@Mariabombia I asked both my GP and midwife as it freaked me out! Anecdotally I also know quite a few friends who also had the same thing- they also had successful pregnancies.

Thanks! Just nervous. We've been TTC #1 for 18 months now. Conceived in Dec '21 but miscarried on New Years Eve. Think I was around 6 weeks, but with I have irregular cycles so it was hard to know! The MC happened before I could get a scan. Conceived the cycle straight after that, but unfortunately had a MMC at 9 weeks. Heartbeat stopped at 8 weeks. That was in March, and now we're here again. It's hard to feel hopeful tbh.
How are you getting on?

mummatara · 17/10/2022 16:20

@FfayeN 😂😂😂 whoops that's story has given me a well needed chuckle. if it was me I would have one after go away in the belief all is fine esp as 6 weeks can still be inconclusive you don't want to panic more than you will over the time your away over what ifs. There's no wrong or right way though you have to do what feels right for you ❤️

So I rang the EPU this afternoon and I've been for a blood test go back weds for another and she said once they've seen bloods they will book me in for a scan. I had a random small bleed when I wiped this morning and then nothing else. But haven't bled since last weds other than 3 small spots.

Mariabombia · 17/10/2022 16:16

@TheBirdintheCave no lolll, but good point! I can imagine that stuff even staining cm! Maybe you should go for your bloods doing in case a pregnancy test isn't picking it up for whatever reason?

@bunnykins123 when I look it up it just says infection and not the high progesterone thing, but I do hope that's the case as that would surely be a good thing ☺️ no smell at all, just clear when I wipe followed by random bits of bright yellow, then clear again. It's thin and slippery, not like thrush discharge. Very odd. Hoping it's not blood.

@theblueflowers ahh really, who told you that? All I can find online is infection related stuff 😐
Great news about your pregnancy, hope you're feeling well in yourself! What is your Ttc journey if you don't mind me asking ♥️?

Indianna2006 · 17/10/2022 13:25

@Indianna2006 3.30pm 😩 so nervous!

Ah the late ones are the worst. My 12 week scan with my son was at 4.30pm I was terrified all day and burst into tears when went into the scan room. Funnily though, at lunch time on that day I felt him move for the first time, little flutters like a goldfish in a bag. I didn't know that's what it was at the time though.

I hope this last hour goes really fast for you!

MrsCristianoX · 17/10/2022 13:55

@Indianna2006 you funny 😂 all the luck I can send comes your way my lovely 🙏

LuckyMoonstone · 17/10/2022 13:55

Ah thanks everyone for your support with this, can’t believe this has taken up a whole month!!

Indianna2006 · 17/10/2022 13:26

@TheBirdintheCave so nervous I’ve tagged myself ffs 🙈😂

Indianna2006 · 17/10/2022 13:25

@Indianna2006 3.30pm 😩 so nervous!

MrsCristianoX · 17/10/2022 13:17

@cocoforbes the thought of no Kit Kats would break me too today😭

Feeling a bit better, just am in angry awe of how men (well my DH) was so blasé about it 🤷‍♀️

TheBirdintheCave · 17/10/2022 13:14

@Luna57 I switched to reusables years ago now and haven't had to buy another pad :D Bloom and Nora are the ones I use if you're interested.

@Indianna2006 What time is your scan?

FfayeN · 17/10/2022 13:12

@Indianna2006 sorry I should have put a warning 😂. I'll be 6weeks 2days and then annoyingly I'm away with work until what will be 9 weeks. So part of me won't want to know before going away if it's bad news 😔, it's a dilemma.

@LuckyMoonstone wonderful news that you're now on CD1. Having a break will help with your headspace too. You and @MrsCristianoX can unite as cycle sisters! xx

Luna57 · 17/10/2022 13:09

@FfayeN omg stop it!! Haha that really made me chuckle!

omg these cramps are wild, they’ve just come on all of sudden thick and fast! Really hoping come the end of the week for at least a faint test and bleeding to start to end. I can’t wait to stop buying pads. Probably used a years worth in the last few days 😂 let’s hope I have a healthy pregnancy soon to save some money on sanitary products 😂

Indianna2006 · 17/10/2022 13:01

@FfayeN i enjoyed reading that whilst eating my lunch 😂😂😂😂😂😂 hilarious. I’d take the scan if I was you. Altho 6 weeks ish can be border line of heart best or none which can be normal. Which almost makes it worse. I tell everyone better to wait until 7 weeks on the dot. As either way by then. It should have one and make it more conclusive.

@LuckyMoonstone yes! So pleased it’s coming down and deffo agree count today as CD1. Enjoy your break. And hopefully Dec might be yours and @MrsCristianoX lucky months!

@TheBirdintheCave well that’s just all very confusing. So bizarre if you temped too. Hopefully it shows up very soon..

HalWin2221 · 17/10/2022 13:00

@theblueflowers @FfayeN thank you both for mentioning about cramps/niggles. Af is due Friday and every cramp I feel I convince myself I’m going to have a chemical/miscarriage. This thread really does make you feel less alone!
also, @FfayeN the progesterone story made me laugh out loud 😂

FfayeN · 17/10/2022 12:58

@TheBirdintheCave that is so bizarre! I really hope AF comes soon if she is waiting in the wings so you know where you stand.

@cocoforbes I can recommend the schar Bueno replacement for a Kit Kat 😉

@theblueflowers similar really! Each little niggle I'm questioning. Spoke to my gyno and she's offered a scan in two weeks for me too. Not sure if ignorance is bliss or whether to go for it tbh.
As we all like a comical story here, thought I'd share that I'm switching to vaginal only progesterone. Did the other end this morning, got to work and needed to pass wind and out it flew. So that's the end of that method for me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

RaliaMusca · 17/10/2022 12:53

@LuckyMoonstone so glad to read your levels are finally dropping and it all seems to level out for you. Fingers crossed you'll be fully back on track once the bleeding stops.

I spoke to the EPU this morning about my most recent bleed and they're not too concerned it seems. They're keeping my scan appointment next week Tuesday because that gives the best chances of seeing growth progress (or not). I'll be almost 8 weeks by then so should see a heartbeat if all goes well, although I'm obviously very cynical about it right now.

theblueflowers · 17/10/2022 12:35

@Mariabombia I have this too, and was told that it is really common in pregnancy-not an infection! Something to do with progesterone?

@FfayeN I'm okay thanks! AF due date today and nowhere to be seen so far, so that's a slight relief. Some slight cramping, but it feels different to AF. I've got one more FRER for tomorrow, where I'm hoping to see some progression from yesterday's. If that looks okay I'm going to contact my consultant for a scan in two weeks. Half of me wants that to come around quickly, and the other half doesn't even want to think about being scanned!

How are you getting on?

TheBirdintheCave · 17/10/2022 12:35

@bunnykins123 I don't have any OPKs in the house either :/ I'll just have to wait until tomorrow when the cheapies arrive and hope that AF starts in the meantime so I don't waste any 😂I seriously doubt that I could be pregnant, surely I would have had a positive result by now. The only other thought I've had is that maybe it was a chemical and I just didn't pick it up as I didn't test until 12dpo? But then surely I would have started bleeding by now 🤔

I've been keeping an eye on my CM and only had the eggwhites for a few days before the O pains and temp dip/spike. If it's the case that somehow I didn't ovulate after that I don't think I've missed it (thankfully) so I'll keep tracking it just in case. It's just creamy white atm.

cocoforbes · 17/10/2022 12:30

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

@FfayeN @Luna57 I've actually found the gluten free diet ok. I have had a few moments when I realise that I can't eat certain things ever again. My DH was having a KitKat the other day and I had a bit of a wobble! It's trickier to eat out now too but it's honestly not been too bad overall.

@MrsCristianoX @LuckyMoonstone I'll be back in the saddle after Christmas too!

bunnykins123 · 17/10/2022 12:12

@Mariabombia yellow is often a sign of high progesterone. I don't think it's anything to worry about unless maybe it smells? That could be a sign of a infection.

@LuckyMoonstone brilliant news! So glad it's coming down 👏 totally understand having some time off before Xmas. Hopefully the break will do you some good!

@TheBirdintheCave initial thought is that you either a) ovulated later in the cycle than your realised b) haven't ovulated yet c) your pregnant. Are you always very regular? It's always the way, when you nail your dates, something throws off your cycle. Have you tried a opk strip to see how that looks?

TheBirdintheCave · 17/10/2022 11:57

@LuckyMoonstone That's great news! :D

LuckyMoonstone · 17/10/2022 11:13

@MrsCristianoX absolutely 👍 I think the break will be a good thing
@mummatara I’m so relieved, I’ve just got to do a test in a couple of weeks and make sure it’s fully negative

MrsCristianoX · 17/10/2022 11:12

@LuckyMoonstone fab!! Ah we will both be back on the saddle in December so to speak xx 😘
