@Nypie thank you, I’ve never taken them before, only ever beta blockers and all the lockdowns came at a good time for me last time I was pregnant so didn’t need to take anything. I now feel like ive made my decision that I’m quitting my job and it’s just being dragged on now but I would be as well getting a very early mat leave out of it if I end up pregnant. I find myself feeling like I need to escape certain situations at work or getting so anxious knowing something is coming. I have dates in the calendar that I’m dreading and I’m now just thinking I need to do something urgently about this as it’s all I’m thinking about (that and TTC on a loop) πŸ™ˆ the state of the country is just getting scary now and Liz truss and co seem to just be sitting back and letting it burn πŸ˜‘

Nypie · 28/09/2022 22:50

Haha @NSx proceive (fertility multivit), vitamin c, Ubiquinal, Magnesium, omega 3, vitamin E and vitex which I was nervous about taking but seems I've ovulated a few days early and something has balanced something out as temps are now less erratic.

Aw I'm sorry to hear you're struggling @Sparklythings1 sounds like such a difficult situation on top of the stresses of TTC. Alot of antidepressants are used to treat anxiety so I wouldn't worry too much about that. I've been off mine for about 4 months and it was honestly a life saviour when I felt like I couldn't cope at work. Now I just do the bare minimum at work when stressed. You can get another job but it can take years to build up your mental health! I'm also very much looking forward to maternity leave and I love my job but its too stressful and the state of the country is only going to increase it.

Things seem to have moved on some amount since I had my little boy.. I got the earliest possible gender scan at 16 weeks as I just couldn’t wait any longer, I hate surprises. Just saw something come up there from sneak peek and at the time you could get the tests posted to your house but I didn’t go for it because if there was any tiny hint of male dna near where you did the test you could get a false result. They now do them in clinics though and they seem to be 99% accurate, one near me now does it. You can get them along with your early ultrasound scan at 6/7 weeks! It’s Β£189 which is a lot but I think the scan alone was Β£70 or something last time.. very tempted to go for that if I get pregnant anytime soon 😊

Sparklythings1 · 28/09/2022 21:17

@ExcitedandNervousC1 giving myself to the end of October I think at this rate πŸ˜‚ the problem is I’m pinning all my hopes on getting pregnant now even more as I’m so desperate to get out. I work part time so calculated out how many days I have to work and could take early maternity leave on the first day I’m allowed which would be end of March so less than 50 working days if I got pregnant this cycle.. no pressure but… πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ˜‚

Mayfield87 · 28/09/2022 19:18

Thanks @NSx I will do 😘

NSx · 28/09/2022 18:43

@Mayfield87 try using the Premom app, u take a pic of the test & it gives u a value.
just make sure u use the same daylight each time to get accurate/consistent readings

Thanks @Mummyme87 so I did peak yesterday. Thanks for helping- I can't get my head around these OPKs

Mummyme87 · 28/09/2022 18:11

@Mayfield87 thats a negative test. The control line is darker than the test liner

Londonlady22 · 28/09/2022 18:01

@ExcitedandNervousC1 I get that! On our first cycle trying I started testing super early like 6DPO because I was convinced I was pregnant …. Oh silly me, and that kind taught me I need to learn to wait it out! Because I became obsessive and constanty googling things like β€˜BFN 10DPO BFP 11DPO’ and I was desperately hanging onto the idea that my HCG just wasn’t high enough yet! I’m also worried about CPs, TBH I think I would rather not know until atleast 14 DPO at the earliest because of CPs!

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 28/09/2022 16:50

I'm the opposite strangely! I find with each day I don't take the test I think I am pregnant and build my hopes up so I Try and see a negative test as confirmation to move onto the next cycle (and hopefully get a surprise!)

I actually found AF devastating last cycle.

My worry with testing too early is getting a CP so would rather not know that if you get me

Londonlady22 · 28/09/2022 16:17

@ExcitedandNervousC1 it’s the worst wait ever isn’t it. I find a BFN worse then AF arriving so I will try and hold out until I’m late. But we will see!!

Can I have some help? This was last nights opk and second one is this morning, would you say today or tomorrow is ovulation day? Today is cd13. Premom says this mornings test is lower but not sure if yesterday was the peak.

Totally confused now as have had this OPK result just now Confused

@Sparklythings1 so sorry to hear all of this! Do you think you could give yourself an end date that by when which time, if you're not pregnant you quit??

@Londonlady22 I know! I'm dreading it. 6dpo, going to buy a test at 9dpo and test at 10 dpo just to see...when do you plan on testing?

Londonlady22 · 28/09/2022 15:48

8DPO and time is going oh so slow! Slight cramping and Nausea this morning, know I’m symptom spotting and know there’s a good chance it’s AF! But a girl can dream right!! It’s quite good being in the hope zone, already dreading the disappointment when AF arrives or I get a BFN 😩

Sparklythings1 · 28/09/2022 12:31

I’m in a really stressful job that I hate and only returned from maternity leave so we could move house and get a mortgage. Of course now it’s ended up being the worst timing in the world with all the news headlines today πŸ™„ So it’s looking like it will take months, maybe even into next year the lender was saying to have it all completed. I could have cried at this as I was only planning to return for a few months and now I have enough payslips, we were hoping to move then I could quit. I work at the family business the rest of the time so I would move to do that full time. My job is causing me so much stress and anxiety that I’m having panic attacks, barely sleeping etc and just constantly dreading it. It’s no way to live your life πŸ˜‘ I had been on short term anxiety medication before my last pregnancy and just didn’t take it while pregnant but a lot of it was wfh at the time so I survived it. This time it’s not and the doctor said before that the next step would be an antidepressant. I wasn’t planning to go on them as my plan was to quit my job, change the environment not the flower and all that. But now I feel I’m backed into a corner and will need to go on them to be able to get through however many months I need to stay. If I do stay that long I’d be as well just staying and taking an early mat leave then get some money for it rather than nothing. So now I feel I’m going to have to take an antidepressant while TTC just to be able to get through the next few months πŸ˜‘ a lot of research seems to say certain ones are completely safe in pregnancy but I’m just so wary. Now feel like I have no choice though 😭

TTCn2 · 28/09/2022 12:30

Thanks @NSx but sadly, more faint spotting so AF will no doubt follow soon.

NSx · 28/09/2022 11:18

@TTCn2 im hoping you don’t see the witch she’s horrendous 😩 and get your BFP ❀️ 🀞- however if not I’ll join you on the next thread πŸ’•

Im so sorry cycle buddies @NSx @FieldView that the wicked witch turned up, I hope you're both ok.
I'm still waiting, now cd30 but have had 30-31 day cycles before, still getting very light spotting in the morning, very bloated, a little nauseous but could still be Af on her way and definitely not getting my hopes up. May buy a test today though just to be sure.
Sending lots of hugs to everyone πŸ€—

Mummyme87 · 28/09/2022 09:06

@3rdtimeisacharm yes I get a lot of, are you trying for. Girl. I mean I would love a Girl, don’t get me wrong, but you don’t have a baby for a certain sex.

@Mayfield87 yep, expect ovulation today or tomorrow. I usually ovulate the day after my positive OPK

NSx · 28/09/2022 08:58

Good luck ✨ sending lots of baby dust @Mayfield87

Thanks @NSx I've definitely got twinging and cramping like ovulation pain so hoping it's today and last night and tonight does the job πŸ˜†

NSx · 28/09/2022 08:01

@Mayfield87 looks like you got your peak last night so ovulation could be anywhere today really - they say 24/36 hrs after peak reading ✨
