Hi all,

I'm new here and looking for my cycle buddies.

Currently CD24, 8 DPO. I'm in my TWW and the wait is killing me! Tested with FMU today and BFN. Although I convinced myself I saw a shadow, I think it's probably my line eyes lol.

I miscarried my first pregnancy 23/08 at 4w2d ( CP )Sad

Praying for my BFP this monthHalo

Anybody else in the same boat??

@UserL95 ah I’m sorry you think you’re out! It sounds like you’re managing your mindset with it… what are you going to treat yourself to if AF comes? it’s so frustrating isn’t it!

Yeah I’ve been reading loads on cortisol since last July and massages etc have helped loads! I’ve tried my best to detach from work and starting to run has really helped! I‘ve actually got a job interview on Friday to move companies as it’s more the culture of mine is toxic! It’s been such a debate of losing maternity benefits vs getting pregnant on my notice period etc but my Oh and I have just agreed that I think I need to do it for my health and we’ll manage financially! Sod’s Law is that I’ll get a BFP and job offer on the same day!

7dpo now - zero symptoms! I usually have a few by now so not sure what that means! I will test at 14dpo if AF hasn’t come - usually because it comes at 13dpo and I have no tests in at present!

UserL95 · 25/01/2023 08:53

@Bananatoast123 ive been testing and I’m approximately 11dpo (usually get period 12-13dpo) so I think I’m out; though I know anything is possible until AF arrives. Feel quite shitty but going to try and continue to focus on the positives as much as I can!

managing stress is really important for your cortisol levels, also not having coffee first thing when you wake up! I have a high stress job as it is so it’s hard to avoid stress, though I try to separate life into work and personal as much as possible to mitigate some of this. I’m also more strict with my boundaries and time keeping, so making sure I’m not working over most days! Is there any small changes you can make to mitigate SOME of the stress? I appreciate that just quitting would bring its own load! Haha

how are you getting on this cycle?

Bananatoast123 · 24/01/2023 07:47

@UserL95 ahh close to finding out! I’m 6dpo I think but also could be 5 or 7 😂 as I didn’t OPK test. But going off my usual EWCM pattern I think 6dpo! No symptoms for me!

the letter idea is so good - it gives a lot of positivity! I do mini ones each day but I might start trying to do one big one whenever AF comes for the next cycle! how do you find manifesting?

im sooo the same, so ready! And it’s hard when you see it happen for everyone else! I do believe there’s a timing for us though! I have found setting goals for each month that isn’t TTC has really helped like for me I run quite a bit but I’m not very consistent so I set myself goal of going every Saturday etc!

I have also read that sometimes the universe holds off until you change something around you that you didn’t realise is negatively impacting! Like I’ve heard about women changing jobs because they were unhappy and it happens or people who cut off toxic friends and it happens! Not saying we should change anything but definitely wonder if my stress from my job and the company’s toxic culture doesn’t help me!

I am tempted to create a little AF basket with chocolate and face masks etc that I get out as self care if it arrives!

UserL95 · 22/01/2023 22:03

@Bananatoast123 also, I saw on another thread having a great day for when AF arrives. Doing some of your favourite things and taking care of yourself. Face mask, fancy bottle of wine, takeout, movie etc etc but something that would be considered a special treat and something to look forward to, because let’s me honest, we dread AF when TTC

UserL95 · 22/01/2023 21:36

@Bananatoast123 sounds like you’ve got a good few healthy things on the go!

im on cd26 now and AF usually arrives cd29-31 so not many more days to wait. I’m trying to hold out to test if I can help it… but now that I have cheapies in the house again I probably will. I don’t have much resistance haha! Oh dear!

I love so much that idea of a letter - truly beautiful! I might try that too… how does it feel doing it?

Im so ready for this next step in life, and I do believe everything in its own good time, but why can’t my time be now???

Bananatoast123 · 22/01/2023 16:47

@UserL95 yes let me know if you notice any difference! Oh interesting on acupuncture! I might see how we go! I’m the same though, trying to reduce the stress! Last month I decided to forget and just focus on Xmas and it definitely made it easier when my period came!

Ive read the same! To be fair we’d upped out exercise from November so nothing new there - just mainly eating more vegetables and cutting out processed stuff which in turn is making me lose weight but in a slow steady right way! I’m sure inositol has helped too!

I have started manifesting too this year! I write a letter from my future self to today and basically talk about how amazing it is to be pregnant and ready to give birth any minute haha! How’s the last few days been for you? Are you testing early this month?

UserL95 · 20/01/2023 21:22

@Bananatoast123 oo I will try and keep track of what I notice different if anything with inositol too. I’ve not tried acupuncture myself as I have struggled to find someone I find to be reputable in my area however I know some people personally who have tried it and enjoyed it but it has not necessarily helped their journey. I think they recommend having acupuncture multiple times within a cycle and for multiple cycles before it actually has an affect? I’m not sure though. In my head it really is about reducing stress as much as possible. That’s why I stopped tracking etc too as I don’t think it was helping me at all. I became stuck in a cycle of obsessive tracking, early testing, and crazy amounts of disappointment which was so hard.

if I’m honest me and DH are both on the larger side but have also been working harder to stay healthy eat whole foods drink plenty of water etc. I’ve read that it’s important not to stress your body too much in trying to lose weight but rather just make small and healthy changes? hopefully the extra ewcm will push you a bit further this month! Fingers crossed

I am praying and hoping that it is my turn this month, and that all you beautiful women get your turn this cycle too. Nothing but positivity and good vibes…. Have you ever considered manifesting? Something else I’ve been reading is to say “I am pregnant” “I am with child” and phrases like that rather than “I hope….”. I’ve been trying to do this this month, but I know I will be devastated if AF arrives. Still trying it tho

Bananatoast123 · 20/01/2023 08:01

@UserL95 ahh sounds like you might get some answers either way even if it’s nothings wrong! I know what you mean by not hearing if anything is wrong though! I’ve started taking inositol this cycle - I’ve got the powder form and just have gone from 1g up to 2g so far! I have noticed less hair loss when I shower too

That’s what I’m hoping with Dubai! I’m also tempted to try acupuncture next cycle and just before we go! Have you tried this??

Ahhh so you’re in your TWW! I hope you all the baby dust and that this month is properly your turn! 🥰 We are cd 15 of cycle 11! We’ve been trying to get a really good diet together and exercising quite a bit to try lose some weight! I think I ovulated yesterday and I’ve definitely noticed more EWCM than normal and cramps so whether it’s the change in lifestyle that’s helping or the inositol… just hope this is it!

I do sometimes worry my cortisol levels are too high though 🤦🏼‍♀️ work is awful at the moment and probably has been since we started!

UserL95 · 19/01/2023 21:23

@Bananatoast123 I’ve had day 3 tests done privately and more recently through nhs - all good! DH recently had male androgen bloods and all good there. He’s waiting a sperm analysis apt too. On one hand it would be easier to know why we’ve not got pregnant, but I would also worry about if there was something or nothing wrong… it’s a mess haha. I came across an ivf nurse on tiktok who suggests regularly taking inositol supplements so plan to add that into the mix. Forever creating my own vitamins cocktail lol

Ooo dubai sounds amazing! Hopefully you will be very relax and chill and magic will happen ✨

I am on cd23 of cycle 12 - not tracking or opk or anything like that anymore. Feels like a lot of pressure off. Just focusing on relaxing and having fun hehe. I bought some internet cheapies again this month so will probably be early testing even though I managed to not do that the past two months… sucker for punishment.

How are you and your other half getting on in this journey?

Bananatoast123 · 18/01/2023 21:13

@UserL95 same with you! How have your tests gone? I’m half like with tests if they don’t show us anything it’ll give me peace of mind or I’ll like start thinking it’s stress from work or something!

Yes going to Dubai! So will be super nice and I think I’ll be ovulating over when we are there so maybe it’ll be our lucky time and we are super relaxed?!

I hope you’re doing well? Where are you at in your currently cycle?

UserL95 · 16/01/2023 14:17

@Bananatoast123 sorry to see you’re still around on these threads; but also lovely to hear from you. Are you going anywhere nice on holiday?
New year new mindset? I love it! Let’s be kind to ourselves ladies.
I’m sure you can relate to the feeling like something is wrong, or you are doing something wrong, when in actual fact there is so much out of our control.
Hopefully by the time April rolls around you won’t need any tests 🤞

Bananatoast123 · 14/01/2023 16:41

@UserL95 Hey! I’m still here! I’m glad you taking a break has cleared your head and you sound super positive!

Cycle 11 for us, just about to come up to fertile window. Surprisingly AF last month didn’t bother me. I think I’ve genuinely got to the point where I’m thinking it’s just not meant to be yet and that’s okay!

We did agree tests this month but the new year brought me into a new mindset. I’ve set some goals for myself and just trying to be healthy! We’ve got a holiday in March so in my head I’m thinking we’ll do tests in April!

UserL95 · 12/01/2023 00:16

@monsteramunch thats seriously spooky! But it still saddens me to hear how many people go through this emotional rollercoaster. Especially when AF comes to play tricks!! Yes we are also TTC #1. The tests actually scare me a little. I’m constantly searching for what vitamins I should take or whether any particular foods may be helpful. Keep telling myself the vitamins are for more than just fertility… though I’m ofcourse hoping for a little one.

monsteramunch · 12/01/2023 00:06

@UserL95

We are at exactly the same stage of number of months TTC and status of investigations! Spooky! Our #12 was our best timed so far though, pregnancy symptoms unbelievably strong and period late... but it's arrived with a vengeance so back to square one. Either my body playing tricks with a late or perhaps our first conception ended as a chemical. Trying to stay positive that we at least have tests happening now but it's bloody hard isn't it. Are you TTC#1 like us? Sorry you're in the same boat Flowers

UserL95 · 11/01/2023 23:51

Anyone still about on this thread? I took a break from mumsnet after my 11th cycle TTC. I actually really enjoyed being off here and just having that headspace. Cycle 12 was a no go as DH was feeling under the weather with the sickness bug. Again I think the break really helped. From cycle 11 I decided I was going to stop obsessing about opk early testing etc etc and just enjoy having SEX!!! of course if a baby is made in the process that would be phenomenal.

anyways I’m on cycle 13. Repeated day 3 tests for me all good. DH had his bloods looking all good. Waiting for a sperm analysis appointment. And hoping for the best.

I hope you are all well.
sending so much luck and baby dust to you all ✨

@Firsttimetrying2022 im so sorry that sucks! Xmas is awful for this! My OH cousin is pregnant with her second and I found out on Boxing Day! I had to take myself to the toilet for a moment!

Same I had to step outside for a minute - it's rough but we've got to just keep trying I guess. Ovulating today or tomorrow so maybe I'll be close behind her

Firsttimetrying2022 · 30/12/2022 16:50

Found out yesterday that my sister in law is pregnant with their second after only a month of trying which had been a bit of a kick in the teeth.... were really close and see her about once a week so there's no way to not hear about every development of her pregnancy...

Firsttimetrying2022 · 17/12/2022 14:12

Of course AF arrived today ... I'm mostly relieved that there doesn't seem to be anything wrong but still a little disappointed. Happy to be able to move on to the next cycle though. Ovulation currently predicted for New Year's Day which feels quite symbolic for a new start

Bingbong9009 · 17/12/2022 10:49

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me jumping on!

I come off the pill 17/11 after being on it for nearly 15/16 years. Before going on my period was always due around the 27th but assume this will have changed over the years. Had some type of bleed yesterday but only when wiping / not transferring to pad. Very light.

anyway we DTD 4/12, 8/12 and 11/12 and I’ve been having all kinds of symtoms. Cramping, sore boobs, heightened smells, back ache. It’s so hard to differentiate between PMS and possible implantation.

I know no one here can actually tell me what’s going on 😂 but is there any chance what I’m experiencing now is implantation bleeding? Or breakaway bleed from the pill? I am very confused and almost want a period so I can start to work out what my cycles should be like. How long after potential implantation bleed do you test?

being in school I was always told ‘miss the pill and you’ll be pregnant’.. if only it was that simple!

thanks for reading and hope everyone is ok ❤️

Firsttimetrying2022 · 16/12/2022 16:16

Just spoke to GP who said there is still a chance I might be pregnant and to test again in a week 😩 not sure I can take another week of not knowing ... if still no period or BFP then they'll get me in for some blood tests

Firsttimetrying2022 · 15/12/2022 18:38

Still no AF or BFP so starting to worry that something is going on... I feel like my breasts have deflated slightly so hopefully that means AF will come soon and we can move on to the next cycle

Firsttimetrying2022 · 14/12/2022 16:32

@Msh0 I was told stress can delay it or cause a missed period. Honestly don't think I've been particularly stressed this month, at least not a lot more than usual and this has never happened before. I keep holding off on testing in the morning, determined to wait to Friday and then break down and test in the afternoon and get BFNs (maybe too diluted?) I've got a GP appointment booked for Friday just to chat as this is really completely out of the normal for me and is starting to set off my anxiety ....

Msh0 · 13/12/2022 19:55

Firsttimetrying2022 · 13/12/2022 19:11

@Msh0 that's so annoying! Are you going to try and speak to a GP ?

I'm not sure what they can do.. i imagine they would suggest I wait it out a few more weeks... I've had a family funeral this month and still struggling emotionally from my miscarriage so I honestly think it's stress that's delaying it, but I'm also stressing about it being late so it's just a vicious cycle I think!
