7dpo symptoms

Hi all - looking for anyone who can share their experiences.

I’m currently 7dpo and have had cramping/twinges in lower abdomen since 5dpo. On 5 and 6 dpo I had back pain like sciatica on my left side only. I normally feel ovulation and not implantation - do we think this could be implantation? Has anyone had similar then had a BFP?

I have had 3 early losses and have felt little cramps before but normally later in the cycle. I should point out I ovulated a week later than expected this cycle too.

Anyone out there can share experiences at 7dpo that led to a BFP? And when they got a BFP?

I usually get sore boobs after O but have only had tender nipples for a few days and now there is nothing. I have also dried up almost completely with CM which is unusual. Tried to check my cervix and couldn’t reach it - is this good or bad at this stage? I don’t frequently check I must admit.

Sending lots of love to all those ttc x

@tashadae27 I'm still waiting to hear back about my doctors appointment, I'll probably chase up in a week or so.

That sounds so frustrating, I don't blame you for feeling impatient, I was exactly the same! I'm not overly girly either, I work in the engineering industry so mostly around men and I was a bit of a tomboy as a child too. What scares me is when she says things like "boys are cool, they can do xyz and are strong". It's like she associates doing those fun things with 'being a boy' rather than aspiring to being 'a girl who is good at football/likes spiderman' etc. I'm not saying she wants to be a boy, but it's as though she assumes those things aren't accessible to her. It's such a shame that she already sees it like that!

I feel so much different since booking the holiday, I think it has given me back a bit of control over things! I'm currently starting the 2WW...very calm so far. I think I'm at the stage where I assume I'm not pregnant, so I'm less inclined to symptom spot and overthink.

Thank you! it really helps being able to check in with you, I hope you don't mind it! Of course I am always here too, if you want to vent or ask anything about pregnancy etc!

xxx

That's good she recommended a gp appointment and bloods @vitahelp hopefully you won't have to wait too long but I 100% understand how it may feel like 12 months til you get one! Keeping fingers crossed it's not too long!

Yeah the reading was with the nub Whisperers who are on Instagram. Feel disappointed that what we thought we were having may now not be at all and I probably should have just waited and not been tok eager and gone with the nub reading. Didn't get an apology just "it seems your baby's nub changed"! Won't be using that service again and will just wait for normal 20 week scan I think if we are lucky enough to fall pregnant again in the future. That'll teach me for being impatient!

Both me and hubby hate football so I won't be disappointed if we have a boy and he hates football too haha!

Your DD sounds like my kind of gal! I used to hate wearing dresses too etc and was always playing with boys instead of girls, I've always preferred the company of male friends rather than females still to this day! Ad long as she is happy that's all that matters :) there shouldn't be a set way of oh girls should like girls things and boys should like boys things, a variety of different things is good!

I'm glad you said you booked that holiday, you deserve it after all your trying, even if you are pregnant at that point it can be a baby moon :) and if not then you're right you will have a lovely holiday to look forward to and enjoy!

I have faith and keeping everything crossed for you.

Keep me posted and I'm always here to lend an ear (or eye!)

Xx

@tashadae27 I know what you mean, actually I was in the GP surgery earlier this week for a routine asthma check and it came up in conversation. The nurse seemed quite keen for me to book another appointment with a doctor as she felt I should have had blood samples taken when I went at the 6 month mark. So I've requested a new appointment now to see a doctor, I may be waiting a while though so could well make it to the 12 month mark anyway by the time I'm there!!

Oh gosh that sounds like a rollercoaster! Is the nub reading with a private service? The 2 weeks should go by quickly then you can hopefully find out with more certainty! I only had 2 NHS scans with my daughter and at the 21 week NHS scan they told me it was 'probably' a girl, but I ended up going for a private scan the same week for more certainty. They actually said 100% girl which seemed a risky thing to say since there is surely a possibility of getting it wrong!! But it gave me the confidence to buy a few girls things!

Haha I hate football too, thankfully DH isn't a fan either he's more into Rugby but doesn't obsess over it too much! The funny thing is our DD is such a tomboy, she loves marvel stuff/cars etc and wont wear dresses or girly clothes. Her best friends at school are both boys too!

Thank you😊 I'm still hopeful that it will happen but a lot calmer these days. I'd been holding off booking a holiday for 2023 working on the assumption that I'll be pregnant. But bit the bullet yesterday and booked something for the end of July. The hotel is flexible and can be cancelled 1 month before so if it does happen I can get some of the money back. I just felt the need to book it because if I didn't fall pregnant by summer I would have the added disappointment of not having a holiday either. It also gives me something more certain to look forward to in the future, rather than just the 'will I / wont I' be pregnant!

tashadae27 · 08/01/2023 08:45

That's certainly a lovely way of looking at it @vitahelp but don't forget to talk to someone (a professional) if you want to. There are things that can be done to help :)
I'm glad you are okay though!

So gender scan was a bit of a fail 😆sonographer first thought girl then thought boy so we have no clear answers. We had a nub reading done at 13 weeks which showed a girl, however I sent my scans in from yesterday to the same nub reader who said ah yes looks like a boy now. So we are just gonna wait for rescan in 2 weeks time and for the 20 week scan then we will hopefully know for sure. Either way I'm not bothered girl or boy just hope if it's a boy he doesn't like football because I hate it hahaha!keep you posted!

Don't forget to reach out if you need/want to. You never know what may happen, I'm keeping everything crossed for you xx

vitahelp · 07/01/2023 23:57

Hi @tashadae27 It’s lovely to hear from you, I was going to get in touch soon to check how you’re doing. I’m so glad everything is ok! Did you find out the gender today?? It is so amazing when you can feel baby moving 😀

I’m still trying, onto cycle 10 now and feeling quite disheartened. I’m getting used to it now though and also getting used to the idea that it may not happen at all and realising that if it doesn’t I will be fine, we have a lovely little family and my daughter is so perfect. It has helped to realise that and know that either way I will be fine. I just want to get out of limbo soon and either get pregnant or move forward with my life xx

tashadae27 · 04/01/2023 19:57

Hey @vitahelp happy new year! How are you doing?
I just had to search back for this thread as I never received a notification on the last message that I've just read now! So sorry...

Thought I'd give you an update in how I'm doing. Currently 16 weeks, have a gender scan booked for Saturday (excited)! Been feeling baby move (flutters) since week 12, felt it during 12 week scan when I saw the baby literally do a flip haha and when the baby stopped moving so did the flutters so it confirmed for me that's what I've been feeling! Very active flutters today/tonight.

How are you doing? Hope you're doing okay :) x

vitahelp · 24/11/2022 12:58

Hi @tashadae27 Oh I'm so glad to hear everything is still ok, I bet it was exciting to see baby again 😊I'm glad everything is under control regarding blood pressure and your diabetes. I really hope the morning sickness improves for you soon. A friend of mine was prescribed something to help with morning sickness but I'm not sure if it would be suitable alongside your other medications? Are your work being understanding?

I'm good, I'm on CD13 now and my app thinks I ovulated on CD10??!! I highly doubt it though, I've never ovulated earlier than CD12 and it is usually CD15. Also my OPK was stark white on CD10/11 and just starting to develop a line yesterday so I think my temps are just being a bit erratic. Actually feel a bit sore and crampy today so may well be ovulating today..

I'm feeling quite calm so far this cycle, and hoping if it doesn't happen I will be able to cheer myself knowing Christmas will be round the corner!

tashadae27 · 22/11/2022 13:16

Hey @vitahelp hope you're doing OK?
Just wanted to update you, had another scan today, baby growing nicely and measuring 2 days ahead of what we thought so 9+4. Got some scan pics which is lovely and being started on twice daily blood thinning Injections as I'm high risk pregnancy for developing blood clot etc. Got a BP monitor as I always have higher BP (on tablets) and being seen regularly by diabetes team. Been signed off for another 2 weeks due to morning sickness. I only went back to work for 1 day and was told today by the consultant in no terms to return to work for another 2 weeks! So that's that!
How are you doing? Xx

vitahelp · 15/11/2022 12:36

Ah ok thats good in a way that you have told them so it is out of the way. I got quite nervous about telling work as it seemed such a long build up waiting for the 12 week scan.
Haha I hadn't heard of that! Oo will be interesting to see if it was correct 😀
I'm feeling ok about starting a new cycle, I am becoming quite cautious though and starting to get my head around the idea that it might not happen at all.

tashadae27 · 12/11/2022 18:45

Ah sorry AF came @vitahelp yes I remember you saying I bet she wouldn't be happy with sharing her birthday haha.

Work know, they have known since I found out because I have type 1 diabetes and have a lot more check ups etc so had to tell them!

I just did the ring on a piece of hair test to see what the gender may be but I know it's not a true way to find out haha just a bit of fun. It said girl... but who knows!

🙂

vitahelp · 12/11/2022 18:40

@tashadae27 Thank you so much 😊 that’s really kind of you to say. Sadly AF came this morning after another big temp drop, sort of relieved as I knew it was eventually going to happen so feels good to start afresh. I might have mentioned before that if I had got pregnant this cycle the baby would have been due the same week as my daughter was born and she probably wouldn’t have taken kindly to sharing her birthday week so it was maybe for the best 😂

Oh gosh, so do your work know now or do they not see the details behind you being signed off? I really hope your symptoms are at their worst at the moment and start to improve xx

tashadae27 · 12/11/2022 11:27

I was signed off work this week by the doctor due to the sickness @vitahelp but I have annual leave next week and then hopefully I'll feel better the week after, who knows!
I had my first craving this morning, mcdonalds hash browns 😆
Sorry to hear about your temp drop and cramps :( don't give up hope though! Although I understand its probably hard. I think you're doing amazing x

vitahelp · 11/11/2022 07:35

Morning @tashadae27 Hope you're feeling ok today and coping with the symptoms. Have you been able to return to work? My temp dropped below coverline this morning and been having cramps so I'm definitely out now. Feeling ok about it and ready to move on to next cycle. It is getting tiresome now though, especially when my timing has been spot on for a few months now...concerned it may never happen.

vitahelp · 10/11/2022 14:18

@tashadae27 Yes you're right. I thought one of the few benefits of TTC for an extended period of time would be that I would at least know the pattern to expect and not have too many surprises...then this cycle happens!! I hope I didn't ovulate too much later than I thought or my DTD timing would have been completely wrong anyway. I'll keep you updated 😊

tashadae27 · 10/11/2022 11:33

Yeah @vitahelp normally 1-2 days after positive LH but it can be delayed due to stress/anxiety etc. Perhaps test again in a few days?
Sometimes we think we know our bodies and then something different happens and we're like what??

vitahelp · 10/11/2022 11:26

@tashadae27 I'm so glad you found it reassuring 😊 and that's great they are doing another scan to check the heartbeat again, I bet you can't wait to see little one again too!

Oh that's interesting that your ovulation date must have been different than you first thought. I did wonder about ovulation being wrong. My chart put it at CD14 which was the same day I got positive OPK. But I thought positive OPK usually happened 1-2 days before ovulation. The thing is if I ovulated at CD15 I would be 12dpo today which still seems late for a negative test...

tashadae27 · 10/11/2022 11:14

Aww @vitahelp could it be that you're ovulation date was a bit later than you thought? Apparently mine was as not measuring at 7+3 they think I'm 2-4 days behind which is possible for me as sometimes i do ovulate a bit later. Who knows! Keeping everything crossed for you 🙏 let me know how you get on.
It had reassured me but got another scan on 22nd where I'll be around 9 weeks to check heartbeat, sonographer said he saw flickering within the embryo which he strongly believed was the heartbeat but I have a tilted womb so they struggled to get good images but deffo saw little one hiding in the corner of the yolk sack haha. Hiding just like it's mummy does it made me chuckle. X

vitahelp · 10/11/2022 11:08

@tashadae27 Oh don't worry! Aww I'm so glad your second scan went well! I'm so glad everything is ok. I'm sorry your symptoms are so strong, isn't it crazy how such a teeny thing can cause such symptoms! Are you feeling a bit more confident that things are going to be ok now you have had the second scan?

Yes I'm 13dpo today. I've had an odd cycle, usually I get a very obvious temp drop a few days before AF. However this month my temp stayed about the same then went very high on 12dpo and it really got my hopes up. It has dropped slightly today but still a lot higher than it would usually be at this stage. I wasn't going to test but ended up doing one on 11dpo and this morning and both BFN. It's wound me up a bit as I usually find BBT charting helps to manage my expectations, whereas this time it has actually made me worse.

To make matters worse I'm still holding onto a bit of hope as AF is due today (if I got ovulation date right) but I'm feeling nothing, usually have some cramps on the day it starts. Tried to convince myself the Morrisons tests I'm using aren't sensitive enough even though it was those very same tests that gave me bfp with my DD at 11dpo..

tashadae27 · 10/11/2022 10:29

@vitahelp I'm so sorry I totally forgot to reply to this! How are you feeling? You must be 13dpo today?
I'm still resting, still vomiting and feeling exhausted. Saw our little bubba on Tuesday teeny tiny little thing! Was a surreal moment for us! But a blessed one.
Hope you're doing OK x

vitahelp · 04/11/2022 07:57

@tashadae27 Hope you're ok today and been able to get some rest. 7dpo here and nothing to report, temps are steady but just woken up with a feeling that it's not going to happen this month...feel too normal! Early days though I suppose.

tashadae27 · 02/11/2022 13:09

I kinda feel like all I want to eat is stuff bad for me haha and fruit, sweet fruit, sour sweets, chicken selects. I shouldn't but its what I fancy @vitahelp 😆

The cramps were probably your body re-adjusting after ovulation. Keeping everything crossed for you 😊

vitahelp · 02/11/2022 12:59

@tashadae27 That's good that you're getting some rest, you definitely need it with those symptoms. Hopefully this is the worst of the symptoms you're going through now. I was lucky and didn't have anything major, but I was definitely worse in the first trimester and seemed to turn a corner after the 12 week scan.

The cramps haven't been back since so probably nothing.

Haha, well I've been vegetarian for a 2 years now but if I ever quit the first thing I would have is chicken selects, they're gorgeous!! Love the dips they come with too! xxx

tashadae27 · 01/11/2022 14:17

Thank you @vitahelp
I've self cert for a week due to the vomiting and extreme exhaustion. I've spent fri sat sun Mon in bed to be honest! Body needs it!

I had cramping at 4dpo I think its normal to experience those kind of cramps.

Make sure you keep hydrated that'll help :)
I know what you mean, when not ttc we want those two weeks to last forever as to not get AF but then when ttc we wish it away quickly to find out!

I just lay on my bed and ate some mcdonalds chicken selects as need protein and all I fancied! I must look a right state! X

vitahelp · 01/11/2022 14:11

@tashadae27 so glad to hear everything is ok 😊it's good that they were able to explain the tissue they saw as well. That's great that your heartbeat scan is booked in so soon. It will be so nice to see the baby again too!

I was terrible worry-wise when I was pregnant with DD. I had no reason to be since I hadn't had any negative experiences, but I worried a lot leading up to the 12-week scan then gradually calmed down from there.

I'm sorry you're suffering with symptoms, but it's all a good sign and will be worth it! I hope you're getting plenty of rest when you can. Have you told anyone at work or just booked time off as holiday?

Yes I'm 4dpo today...I got a bit carried away this morning after getting a few cramps, but they're gone now, and I know 4dpo is way too early to feel anything. I'm hoping the next week goes by quickly, it's madness how you wish time away when TTC!

tashadae27 · 01/11/2022 12:08

Hey @vitahelp sorry for slow reply been really sick and exhausted!
Had our scan this morning it isn't ectopic, baby is growing nicely in the right place. The 'tissue' they could see in my left fallopian tube near my ovary is actually the corpus luteum (attached to the ovary which is how it should be) baby growing nicely measuring a few days behind what I think I am therefore too early to see a heartbeat yet but they said its growing nicely as it should be. Repeat scan In a week for heartbeat check. I'm relieved but was so anxious. Will continue to be anxious I think!
Heartburn is in full force, as is morning vomiting, all day nausea and evening vomiting.
Exhausted beyond belief. Resting as and when I can. Got some time off work to rest.
Are you 4dpo today? How are you feeling?
