@Kitty901 oh wow that must have been scary! But glad all is okay 😊 it's such a shame that early pregnancy is such a worry. My first pregnancy I was in such ignorance about it all, I'd never experienced any early losses or anything at that point so I thought nothing of it. I've since had two so definitely a lot more anxious about it!

Kitty901 · 07/09/2022 23:44

I was debating whether to go for an early scan at 7 weeks just to check if all's ok and the devil must have heard me as i started having bad cramps and bleeding so had to rush to the A&E and was scanned at the EPU right away. Luckily nothing bad has happened then but it is such a worry! I got the Dawn results today and all's good too. I am nearly 15 weeks and it is just now that i start feeling i can rest my brain lol early pregnancy is no fun!

Tropicana1 · 07/09/2022 20:07

@alwaysseeingstars everyone seems to be getting early ones don't they!! I had no idea so many would. My nausea has lessened a lot today and I'm semi panicked about that so I'm right with you there - early pregnancy is a big old stress isn't it!

@alwaysseeingstars oh no that's not very helpful is it 😂 Im really not sure. I'd assume if implantation were to occur then it would stop AF from arriving. But I know implantation can sometimes be as late as 12dpo so no idea how that works!
We move next weekend, so this weekend will be a full on packing weekend!

Hjudge56 · 07/09/2022 16:18

@alwaysseeingstars how incredibly exciting for you ❤️ Yeah you haven’t got too long to go for your first scan! Exactly once your at a point where you can feel those things you may settle your mind! Embrace every second xx

alwaysseeingstars · 07/09/2022 13:38

@Hjudge56 I'm roughly 8+5 today. Thanks, hopefully I'm worrying about nothing! Everybody on the pregnancy forum is having an early scan but we've decided not to (mostly for money reasons, but also as DH has OCD and we think getting one 'extra' scan would end up being a lot more than one 😂) so I think that makes it a bit harder, just the not knowing. Like you say, once there's a bump and then some movement hopefully it'll be a lot easier to believe!!
@MamaSJ15 I thought I would too, but DH has a bad phobia of needles so there's no way he'd be helping me 😂Ah that'll be great if you can wait till Sat, if you have a short LP you'd imagine implantation would be relatively early? I admit I have no real idea though haha! When do you move? 😊

MamaSJ15 · 07/09/2022 13:21

@alwaysseeingstars that's good that you've got the appointment now! Ah good, I think I'd struggle with injecting myself!
Well the thought of testing has already started to cross my mind so I'm trying not to! Haha hoping to just wait it out this time, if AF doesn't arrive Friday then I think I'll test Saturday but it'll still only be 11dpo so still early really.

Hjudge56 · 07/09/2022 09:44

@alwaysseeingstars yeah technically I have covered it I’m sure but it comes down to fate If something progresses end of the day!

Try not to panic <3 I know it’s easier said than done! How far along are you now? Many, many, many woman don’t have any of the symptoms that we hear of as ‘normal’! A lot of my friends have been one way (alllll the symptoms) or the other (nothing at all) and still had healthy pregnancies! It’s a weird thought thinking there’s something in there, but there is!!! And until bump really starts to show it can be hard to hold onto the fact that it is all going okay in there!!

alwaysseeingstars · 07/09/2022 09:37

@Hjudge56 honestly please don't stress, it sounds like you've more than covered it!! In the cycle I had a CP we only DTD once, and this time only twice in the FW. Keeping fingers crossed for you!
I'm panicking now as my bloating has gone, still no sickness, even my boobs are less sore. Good things but worried about it being a bad thing!

Hjudge56 · 07/09/2022 09:13

@alwaysseeingstars im good thank you! How are you? ☺️

I’m CD19 atm! Managed to DTD CD12, 14 & 15 and I think I ovulated CD 16 or 17. So we shall see! Trying to take the pressure off now we’re back up and running haha! At the time you think ‘yeah I’ve covered this’ but once ovulation passes it’s always a case of ‘I should have done more’ !!!

alwaysseeingstars · 07/09/2022 08:45

@MamaSJ15 definitely agree, it can't hurt that they're keeping a close eye I suppose! Also have had an appointment through from the specialty cardiology team, it's amazing how much faster they jump when you say you're pregnant - I've been waiting over a year for a follow up cardiology appt 😂First injection done today and not as bad as I feared!
Keeping fingers crossed for you, when do you think you'll test?
@MrsCristiano hope you're having an amazing hols 😊
@Hjudge56 how are you doing? where are you in your cycle?

MamaSJ15 · 07/09/2022 07:13

@MrsCristiano really hope you're having an amazing holiday and have had a stronger line now! Can't wait to hear! 😃

Hjudge56 · 06/09/2022 22:12

All fingers and toes are crossed for you @MrsCristiano !!!!

MamaSJ15 · 06/09/2022 21:51

@Kitty901 it's only recently that's it's ended up being short, after the miscarriage I starting using opk to track ovulation and it turns out I ovulate around CD18 but still only have a 28 day cycle usually. Maybe I've always ovulated late but didn't know!

Kitty901 · 06/09/2022 19:49

@MamaSJ15 ohh i used to stress so much about my short LP. Mine was short 9/10 days in a 22 days cycle and tried all sorts of vitamins to extend it. I did start taking Angus Cactus in May, not sure if that could have helped me conceive but didn't hurt anyway.

MamaSJ15 · 06/09/2022 18:47

@alwaysseeingstars wow that's a lot isn't it. I would say the upside to being consultant led is that you get a lot more checks than you would if you were midwife led. Oo I hope so, I've only got one and it's starting to fade now but it was very painful for a couple of days! I'm not gonna get my hopes up too much, it could just be the stress of everything with moving 😂 but AF is due Friday so not long to wait but too early to test cause I seem to have a short luteal phase!

Kitty901 · 06/09/2022 13:19

@alwaysseeingstars honestly, i never had any pregnancy symptoms with my first, never!!! So don't stress if you don't have symptoms or not all of them. I never understood why others say they feel unwell when i was feeling like normal i thought they were overstating everything 🤣 (forgive me for saying this)...well i figured it out this time haha well deserved i guess!!
Well it's been a week now since the scan and bloods, they said 2 weeks max to come through the post so that is another week to go but, if results were concerning i would receive a call within the next 2 days. Right, i had no call yet so i am hoping all is good and normal.

I know, i still can't believe i got pregnant in he month i did not track anything and only dtd once in that month after 7 months of tracking, planning, hoping worrying etc 😊 i think this is why it only became real last week when we saw the baby.🤣

alwaysseeingstars · 06/09/2022 12:40

@Kitty901 it is really exciting :) still struggling a lot with switching between worried about MMC/excitedly making plans! Am roughly 8+4 today. Only symptoms are exhaustion (my god it's bad, I never knew pregnant women struggled so much!!) and sore boobs in the evenings/nights. Bit concerned about no nausea but the midwife just said to embrace it for now 😂
That's really exciting, you're a fair way in now!! Fingers crossed for you for the downs results, do you know how long they'll take?

Kitty901 · 06/09/2022 12:17

alwaysseeingstars · 06/09/2022 11:51

@Kitty901 yeah it's my first, no of course I don't mind you asking! I've had a clot on the lung and brain in the past so they want the blood thinners as a precaution as pregnancy can increase the risk of clots if you're prone to them. Re the folic acid and aspirin it is due to having high/variable blood pressure - which is ironic as my GP took me off my beta blockers when I said I was pregnant! So the midwife is getting my GP to put me on some pregnancy safe ones.
How are you doing? xx

Ohh right, my sister's husband has been having blood cloth issues ever since i remember him. It is good you are being taken care of!
Ahh first baby exciting!!! 🤗 not that i am not about having a second but the first time really is different.
I am ok 14+2 now and baby looks like a human being. I had all the pregnancy symptoms from week 7 to 12 which i never had with my first 🤔 but glad they have disappeared and i have returned to life. Just waiting for the Dawn results to come through the post now, hoping all is good there too.
How are you feeling?

@FrannyJP welcome! it's definitely helpful having people on here to chat to about it all when not talking about things with people in real life!
@MapleSyrup2112 congratulations!!
@MamaSJ15 I'm doing ok thanks, had my booking appt on Sat which was nice to get done! Few negatives from it though, I've got to start a higher dose of folic acid, start taking aspirin daily from 12 weeks, and start injecting myself with blood thinners daily 😣am going to be under consultant led care too, not sure what difference that will make to the journey? Re your DD, ah that must've been emotional! hope she had a fab day? And I'm hoping the ulcer is the good sign for you that it was for me 😘

Aww why have you got to do all that if you don't mind me asking? Is this your first baby?
I am sure everything will be ok xxx

FrannyJP · 06/09/2022 08:30

@alwaysseeingstars it really is! I’m trying to resist the urge to do tests and look into too much.
I came off the pill and bled straight away for about 8 days, getting lighter. Now no bleeding but a lot of symptoms so hoping at least my body is kicking back into gear aged maybe a period of sorts as surely wouldn’t be pregnancy this fast. It’s a minefield, was on contraception for so long I’m not even used to symptoms that could simply be period haha

So I'm at 7dpo today, got lots to keep me busy and my mind occupied until I sit down at night! But I do have a very sore Ulcer at the moment, not like me, I don't usually get ulcers 😕

MamaSJ15 · 05/09/2022 22:35

@MapleSyrup2112 looks extremely positive to me, congratulations! 😊
