@Essexgalttc I have been using ovulation tests for the last two months so I am super new to them too but can tell you what i do.
I use the easy@home tests alongside the premom app, the app recommended me to start testing once a day from the day after my period. When the tests started to get darker i used the tests twice per day (the app told me to haha).
I test mid/late afternoon and try test at the same time each day, i read in the instructions that LH levels are at their best between 12pm-6pm, don’t know how right that is. I do my tests around 4pm and when i test twice a day i do 12pm and 4pm.

I also use the clearblue ovulation tests which predict your four most fertile days, i use these once the line on my easy@home tests start to get a little darker and only use these once a day alongside my easy@home ones. I got my solid smiling face on clearblue at the same time as my super dark line on easy@home so assume they work well ha!
Good luck! X

@Missgemini Yay we are so close! We can get through the next two weeks, nice to have somebody so close to me DPO wise! šŸ™‚

Thank you so much for this it was a great explanation! App sounds great too, will look it up!

Ohhh I’m the same, period finished on Sunday there so I did an ovulation test this evening. Same faint line as you and flo app is telling me that best chances to conceive start from tomorrow. Going to keep taking the tests this week and pinpoint peak ovulation (on top of DTD!)
My AF should due on 25 August, when is yours due?

Mine AF is due on 28th but I have a longish cycle. Flo app says to start going for it on Monday. Do you know if it is best to go as much as possible or every other day?

My2boysaremyworld · 04/08/2022 11:18

@Shiny88 5 days late now xx

Shiny88 · 04/08/2022 11:14

@My2boysaremyworld oh I'm really hoping she doesn't show and you get your BFP. How many days late are you? Xx

My2boysaremyworld · 04/08/2022 10:48

@Shiny88 šŸ‘šŸ» still no AF. Will test again tomorrow xx

Shiny88 · 04/08/2022 10:42

@My2boysaremyworld she just felt Abit more tired in then 2 weeks that was it xx

My2boysaremyworld · 04/08/2022 10:30

@Shiny88 that's amazing! Was she getting symptoms? Did she feel like she was going crazy lol xx

Shiny88 · 04/08/2022 10:26

@My2boysaremyworld yes that's right. Her period was 2 weeks late before getting a BFP and her baby arrive last week healthy and happy xx

My2boysaremyworld · 04/08/2022 10:04

@Shiny88 so she was a few weeks pregnant when she finally got her BFP? It didn't affect her pregnancy at all her levels being so low? Xx

My2boysaremyworld · 04/08/2022 10:03

@BirdIsland sorry AF has showed up.

Yes I'm totally confused!! Xx

Shiny88 · 04/08/2022 08:58

@My2boysaremyworld the doctor just said to my friend that her hcg levels just weren't high enough for it to be detected šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø xx

Tropicana1 · 04/08/2022 08:48

@mamazac I'm not sure I can see anything on that test in the picture - is it pink or gray in real life?
I wouldn't personally think fairground rides at this point would do anything bad but don't do anything you're not comfortable with :)

BirdIsland · 04/08/2022 08:35

@My2boysaremyworld just caught up on your posts, it must be so frustrating for you not knowing what is going on! So strange.

AF turned up for me this morning at 9DPO, so 5 days early. Covid has really messed with my cycles. And stupidly I let myself symptom spot yesterday ā˜¹ļø

Essexgalttc · 04/08/2022 07:28

@LauraA31 thank you that is helpful too! Hopefully we all start seeing our BFP’s this month!

Essexgalttc · 04/08/2022 07:24

@Missgemini thank you so much!

Missgemini · 04/08/2022 07:20

@Essexgalttc the ā€˜perfect’ way to test is from day 8 of cycle and every day until peak. I’ve read that we should avoid first morning urine and test during the day. Doesn’t really matter too much how much time you’ve held urine for, because that peak test result will be dark no matter what. The LH surge has a much higher hormone level than during the rest of the month. I test once a day around the same time, but I know people who test twice a day.
I’ve never missed the peak by testing once a day.

Missgemini · 04/08/2022 07:15

@mamazac I wouldn’t have thought going on fair rides could affect things, but I’m no expert.
I went on a really physically active hen do when I was a few dpo with my last baby. Thankfully didn’t drink on that trip, so was very happy when I had a positive test a couple days later.

Essexgalttc · 04/08/2022 07:14

Cycle day 3 of Cycle #3
We’ve been ttc since January with a loss in April

Can anyone help me with OPK please? I know some use them twice a day and some use them once? Would it be OK if I used them once - what time of day? Do you need to hold wee for a while before taking them?
Also when do you start taking them, the day after your AF finishes? Then do you stop taking them the day after you peak? Or until AF is due or arrives

Sorry for all the questions!

Baby dust to us all

Missgemini · 04/08/2022 07:13

@LauraA31 I’m 2dpo, so on the same boy as you!
we’ve got this!

mamazac · 04/08/2022 07:12

@Missgemini yeah it really is very faint. If I wasn't going to the fair today I would probably have just disregarded it but overthinking because I don't want to do any harm going on rides!

Missgemini · 04/08/2022 07:11

@mamazac good to see you! I suspect the line is easier to see in real life. The camera hasn’t quite captured it. Fingers crossed for you!

LauraA31 · 04/08/2022 07:10

Morning all!

Im 1DPO today according to apps, i had my peak ovulation tests on Tuesday so predicated ovulation day was yesterday.
I get zero signs of ovulation though so rely on the apps and ovulation tests!

Already have a feeling this is going to be the longest two week wait!

Good luck everybody x

mamazac · 04/08/2022 06:55

Hi ladies,

Was active on the last thread last month but this month been taking it easy. We haven't been actively trying this month but I'm going to the fair today for my nephews birthday so thought I'd test cause I know I'm around 8/9dpo so wanted to check before I went on any rides!

Had something very very faint come up in the timeframe. Don't know if it's worth avoiding it today based on this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hoping for BFP August/September
My2boysaremyworld · 03/08/2022 23:23

@BellaTheDarkOverlord I'm never this late. I use to be before I had my eldest cuz of how bad my PCOS and endometriosis was but that settled down after having him xx
