@Tartanhaggis that sounds kinda like what I’ve been having. But the annoying thing is that many people have these symptoms before AF too.
Good luck with testing! I got a BFP at 9dpo.

Missgemini · 14/08/2022 23:59

@Tartanhaggis I had random lower tummy twinges.

I have had constant dull period type pains lower both sides and shooting pains (but nothing drastic) on one side plus when I go to stand up it's like a muscle pulling. Just symptom spotting I'm at 9dpo šŸ¤ž

@Tartanhaggis I had random lower tummy twinges.

Tartanhaggis · 14/08/2022 23:28

Did anyone with a bfp get some slight shooting pains on one side during implantation?

My2boysaremyworld · 14/08/2022 21:10

@Lollywhite yes get checked if ur concerned xx

Lollywhite · 14/08/2022 20:58

@My2boysaremyworld thankyou, I will give them a ring tomorrow!

I did have a pelvic scan and blood test back in February to check thyroid and everything seemed okay with that.. But just concerned about how much my length is varying xx

My2boysaremyworld · 14/08/2022 20:50

@Lollywhite Iv had the blood tests at different times in my cycle to confirm if I'm ovulating. Can't remember which days you go for it at xx

Lollywhite · 14/08/2022 20:29

Congrats @LauraA31 !! How exciting..

just a question has anyone had a blood test from doctors to confirm if ovulation happened? And how would you go about it?

I really thought this month was it as was 7 days late for AF, I was tracking tests through pre mom app but looking now although it stated peak I really don’t think the line was darker than the control line.

Obviously it wasn’t meant to be but just wondering how common are anovulatory cycles? Xx

Derinsea12 · 14/08/2022 13:08

@Missgemini @LauraA31 Aww thank you both ā˜ŗļø I feel so happy for both of you and looking forward to hearing all progressions updates!

I am planning to test either this evening or Tomorrow at 10DPO. I think I am a bit scared that It will be BFN. As yesterday I was in such a good mood, after seeing BFN I was disappointed. I went and checked my Cervix position. It seems to be quite low now. So don’t think that’s a good sign at this point.

Oh well, Let’s see what happens šŸ¤ž

My2boysaremyworld · 14/08/2022 12:03

@LauraA31 enjoy every bit of it hun. Your not daft your excited and that's wonderful xx

kizzy97 · 14/08/2022 11:22

Congratulations @LauraA31 and @Missgemini wishing you both a happy and healthy 9 months 🄳

LauraA31 · 14/08/2022 10:12

@Missgemini oooo no i didn’t actually know there was a pregnancy thread! I have only used mumsnet for the last couple of months and focused on the TTC threads, yeah I feel im tempting it at 11DPO haha!

Thank you all, think im going to get through the next week when AF is due to appear and then get one booked in. I can’t get my head round it yet and still expecting AF to arrive Wednesday as planned!

@My2boysaremyworld yeah that was a concern for me that I would be earlier than expected.

I feel super daft as it’s our first baby and my first pregnancy and im like a rabbit in headlights šŸ˜‚

My2boysaremyworld · 14/08/2022 10:02

@LauraA31 I had a early scan with my last pregnancy to put my mind at ease. Unfortunately it didn't help me as I was measuring smaller and it made my anxiety terrible. The only positive from it was that I got a scan picture of our angel baby to keep. If I fall pregnant again I will have another early scan to hopefully reassure me.

Good luck with your pregnancy and if you want a scan then go for it 😘xx

My2boysaremyworld · 14/08/2022 09:58

@Missgemini thank you that answers my question lol xx

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 14/08/2022 09:56

@LauraA31 I had an early scan at 6 week and 7 weeks with my last pregnancy. I saw a sac and yoke at 6+2 weeks and at 7+1 weeks a small baby and a heartbeat. I found this on my previous notes. That was from 8 years ago! I had late implantation bleeding up to about 6 weeks which is why I wanted an early scan. A doctor had told me that bleeding was a miscarriage so I booked in for a scan.

@LauraA31 forgot to say that I have been bloated like crazy! Literally was on the sofa last night ordering my DH around. He wasn’t too impressed lol!

Missgemini · 14/08/2022 09:55

@LauraA31 I’ve been testing every morning. Lines getting darker so far. Fingers crossed for us both!

For my last pregnancy (and baby), I had an early scan at 6 weeks. Saw the heartbeat and the sonographer said foetus was very well implanted. It was reassuring. I read somewhere that heart beat at 6 weeks means approx 95% chance of making it to term.
I’m having one this time round too. It was so exciting last time!
BTW, there is a pregnancy forum on mumsnet (not sure if you know). Lots of people over there on a thread of April 23 babies. I haven’t joined them yet as feel that might be tempting fate at 12dpo! Haha

EdinburghGirl1 · 14/08/2022 09:01

So I was sure I'd get a static this morning after my flashing yesterday but got another flashy so looks like I will ovulate a little later this month maybe CD12 which I'm quite happy about. I started taking pregnacare this month so don't know if that's helped lengthen my follicular phase a little. I was sure I'd get my peak same as last month so we DTD first thing šŸ˜‚ now I kinda wish we hadn't as if it's peak tomorrow then that's going to be several days in a row. I should've tested first. My goodness trying to work out when you should dtd whilst ttc totally messes with your head doesn't it. The control freak in my doesn't like it. At least come mid next week it's back to whenever we want to šŸ˜† the dramas us girls go through

EdinburghGirl1 · 14/08/2022 09:00

@LauraA31 I think it's up to you guys and a personal choice. I think most people who get early scans it's for a reason like previous miscarriages etc. I never had one and don't know many people who have. if it puts your mind at ease and helps with work risk assessments etc then I don't see why not.

LauraA31 · 14/08/2022 08:52

@Missgemini it’s lovely that your lines are getting darker šŸ™‚ how are you feeling today?
I’m 11DPO today and my line this morning was darker than yesterday which has made me happier, it’s nice to see them getting darker.

@Derinsea12 how are you doing? Keeping everything crossed for you and your next tests šŸ™‚

@BellaTheDarkOverlord ha that’s reassuring! Boyfriend has googled loads and he thinks he is a fountain of knowledge about HCG levels haha! Reality he doesn’t know much šŸ˜‚

@My2boysaremyworld i continue to tests the days after my peak just to make sure my levels have gone back down and i don’t miss any little sneaky peak again!

Has anybody had an early scan? Boyfriend really wants one around 7 weeks which would be first week of September if the dates are right. He wants to make sure all is okay, but understands nothing much can be seen- is it worth getting one or waiting.. The place we looked at showed results and I feel that it would massively put my mind at ease and help with the work risk assessments. Any opinions welcome šŸ™‚

Missgemini · 14/08/2022 08:04

@My2boysaremyworld sorry to hear about the tummy ache. Just so annoying when there’s so many things going on in that area. Not just the womb. I hope you’re feeling better.

I just tested with an ovulation strip and it is very much negative this morning. Science experiment complete! Haha!

Hoping for BFP August/September
My2boysaremyworld · 13/08/2022 22:46

Iv got a pressure pain down below. No way it can be anything yet as only on cycle day 8. Wonder what it could be?

My2boysaremyworld · 13/08/2022 22:42

@Missgemini thank you. I just seen something on someone's tik tok account and made me wonder xx

Missgemini · 13/08/2022 22:38

My2boysaremyworld · 13/08/2022 20:42

Question for you ladies. Do any of you carry on using ovulation tests after you get your peak reading? Can it show your pregnant if it stays high instead of going down? And if it goes down does it stay down and not go back up and if it does go back up could that mean your pregnant? Xx

I usually test for 2 days after peak so I can be sure the line is getting fainter again.
I’m not sure whether ovulation strips can detect pregnancy seeing as ovulation is testing for LH whilst the pregnancy test is looking for HCG.
If I find a strip tomorrow morning I’ll do both tests and see what the line of the ovulation strip looks like.
