@twigsterable It sounds like you should be regular then I guess if you've had regular periods for a while. It's strange really x

@Purple29 I think next month I'm going to try that DTD every other day around ovulation rather than relying on sticks. I can see I ovulate every month between 14-16 which is regular so I don't need sticks now. I might try every other day from like CD11 and see if it helps. Only problem is dh starts getting annoyed if it's so often as sometimes we're both too tired.

@Chloo22 Sorry for BFN x What DPO are you? I wonder if you implanted later. Not out until AF shows though x

@BellaTheDarkOverlord ahh fingers crossed we get our positives this month!!

@EdinburghGirl1 I know definitely obsessive I mean I probably will still use them but I’m not going to solely focus on the results (easier said than done lol)

@Purple29 oh wow that’s good to hear, it does make sense too! I’m defo going to try focus on every other day regardless of what OPKs say .. so sorry to hear about your loss xx

Chloo22 · 18/08/2022 19:38

Update…

BFN on my FRER today.. Still no AF, had some yellow tinted cm/little bit snotty today. - could be a sign of AF though? Although I have no other signs/symptoms of AF like I usually would.

strange..?

no idea what’s going on 😬

Purple29 · 18/08/2022 18:14

@Lollywhite when I was ttc #1 I was going to the fertility dr because we had been trying for 2 years and that's what he told me, my cycles were regular tho, but he said to dtd every second day over ov.

He recommended this because it gives the sperm a little more time to mature. You don't want it older than 5 days either!!!

He said most importantly to STOP peeing in sticks!!! He said you can miss it, as the right hormone level can be very quick.

His recommended days for my 28 days cycle was 7 (just to empty out the old stuff) 11,13 and 15. Assuming I was ov on day 14.

I was pregnant after 2 months!!!

The same every other day worked last year for #2 but we lost that one.

@EdinburghGirl1 Tww together x I'm now 1DPOI šŸ˜€Counting down until I get my BFP (being positive!)

@twigsterable I think maybe coming off the implant your body is still regulating. Never been on it myself but I had the same coming off the pill first time. You're welcome to stay even if you're not near testing. I'm 2 weeks off testing yet. AF due 31st šŸ˜…

Thank you 😊

I'm not sure if the normal rules for implant apply to me as I had it in for more then four years despite it only apparently being effective for 3?

I got my periods back a while ago and they've been regular up until this month

New to all this it's our first month TTC. Got my positive OPK on 16th all a bit up in the air as only came off implant in July but you never know!

Absolutely no idea what happens next as my positive OPK was 2 days before the end of my cycle (period is due tomorrow but again did come off implant last month so clearly ovulating late)

Way too early for any tests for me now but just saying hi and hopefully will be back here in a couple of weeks 😬

@Hopefulprincess I definitely see a feint line.

@Baby3herewego that like looks great and @Derinsea12 must be so nice seeing that word pop up on the test.

@ChickenT2b hopefully it's lucky number 3. I'm CD14 and 2dpo. That's good your bloods came back normal but I get how you would be unsure if you have to stop trying and might get placebo.

@Crazycatlady19 no I don't keep legs up. I've read it doesn't actually matter and not needed. I do try to stay lying down for a little bit afterwards though

@elm26 I'm in the tww with you. When will you test?

@BellaTheDarkOverlord welcome to the tww too. Both in it together like last month.

@1stimer16 oh no that's such a shame. DP and I had started booking a holiday to Tanzania for September a couple months ago but ended up cancelling and booked Greece instead in case I got pregnant as there's a yellow fever and malaria risk and couldn't really take the anti malaria drugs. I hope you find something else. We are going to Athens then a couple of Greek islands.

@mamazac I agree you probably have had your peak. When do you normally ovulate? I got my peak on CD10 last month. Will you test again this morning to see how it's looking?

@Lollywhite that seems like a good plan and at least you'll be covered. And yes maybe leaving the OPKs will help you relax a little. I can see how it could become obsessive. Good luck for this cycle.

@Tartanhaggis I understand how you must feel like that. There's some girls on another thread I'm on who got bfp this month and said they had no symptoms and thought they were out but then got their bfp so not everyone feels pregnant straight away and sometimes symptoms start later. It's still early days. Maybe try the digital on day AF is due To help out your mind at ease?

Sorry this was a long one. Just catching up. Yesterday was my daughter's first day at school but finished at 12 so had a mummy daughter afternoon together then didn't really come on here last night

Thankyou x I guess im just scared it goes away like last time but IL try and chill and take my mind off it somehow šŸ˜… till tomorrow lol

Tartanhaggis · 18/08/2022 12:09

Got a clear blue early digital today and got the book error šŸ˜‘. Ordered another for tomorrow

EdinburghGirl1 · 18/08/2022 10:25

@mamazac good plan

mamazac · 18/08/2022 10:25

@EdinburghGirl1 we're gonna aim to DTD every night over the next week or so just in case and I'll continue the opks!

mamazac · 18/08/2022 10:24

EdinburghGirl1 · 18/08/2022 10:23

@mamazac do you get ovulation pain or EWCM? Do you know how long your cycles usually are? No harm in regular BD and continuing the testing to see how they are in case it hasn't peaked yet

I've never had ovulation pain but do get EWCM but not every cycle, usually homes around CD 10-13. Sometimes it's loads then others barely nothing!

EdinburghGirl1 · 18/08/2022 10:23

mamazac · 18/08/2022 10:20

@EdinburghGirl1 so this is my first month using opk's so I don't know! I tested this morning and it's as faint as yesterdays so doesn't look to be getting darker, but there's still time I suppose if I haven't already peaked. We DTD last night anyway!

EdinburghGirl1 · 18/08/2022 10:14

@Chloo22 it's hard to know as you could have implanted late day 11/12dpo so might not show up. Try the FRER and see what that says

Chloo22 · 18/08/2022 09:16

Good morning ladies lots of BFP’s, exciting for you all šŸ˜€.

today I’m approx 13dpo going by ovulation pain and CM.
Period is still absent, usually 28 day cycle. CD 30 today. Did another cheap test this morning got a BFN again, realises they are 25mlU and didn’t realise. Got my FRER coming this morning. Do you think it’s just a no go for me this month? Would a positive show on 25mlU at my current cycle time?

sorry, lots of questions but I’m just learning more each day about all this TTC business x

EdinburghGirl1 · 18/08/2022 07:31

@1stimer16 that's great you could amend free of charge

1stimer16 · 18/08/2022 07:22

@Baby3herewego looks good, congrats!

@Derinsea12 congrats on your digital, I’m still holding out for tomorrow when AF is due!

Luckily TUI were very helpful and amended the destination free of charge as they have a Zika policy for if you find out you’re pregnant after booking ā˜ŗļø

Hi ladies. Good luck with everyone's positives there seems to be lots and I hope there are many more! X . Can't sleep. I am in total disbelief over these lines I'm getting even though I have done two different brands and the lines on both are becoming more obvious each day. I guess it is because I don't feel pregnant . I already have kids my youngest is 5 and I just remember always being roasting hot. If anything I have been feeling cold! The only symptoms I have are my boobs are a little achey on and off but I get that before AF usually anyway. I had period pains and slight shooting pains up until yesterday then they just stopped. My period is due Friday I would normally start getting menstrual cramps around now but have nothing. Has anyone else just not felt preg although getting positives ? I think I will only believe it when I do a digital but at the same time I'm afraid to do one incase it says negative šŸ˜‘.I am around 12 dpo and cd 28 now since it's after 12 at night. I just wish I could feel sure and overjoyed . Think I will get a digital if my period gets to two days late šŸ¤ž

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 17/08/2022 23:32

@Lollywhite Good idea about OPKs. I'm CD15 today and got positive OPK yesterday which was then fainter today. Im guessing if that's correct I'd ovulate today or tomorrow. I'm going to call tomorrow 1DPO.

My cycles are usually 28-29 days. That's a good method from GP. At least then you get more chance to hit it without worrying too much about when it happened. Also if you don't know what DPO you are maybe less stressful! I hope it brings you luck for a BFP x

OP posts:
Lollywhite · 17/08/2022 23:22

@BellaTheDarkOverlord what DPO are you today? I’m CD 5 now ..

I’ve spoke with my GP today about the fluctuation in my cycles and she has reassured me it’s within reason and nothing to be concerned about.

She told me to try put the OPK’s to one side as they’re not necessarily setting stone and can sometimes pick up slight change in hormones causing a positive when really you mightn’t ovulate till a few days after for example

She said that because my cycles range from 21-35 days I need to minus 14 days from each of these which means my ovulation could potentially be anywhere be between CD7- CD21 (because of my cycle variation)

She basically said I should focus on DTD every other day from days CD 7-21.

It really has became obsessive for me testing sometimes 4 times a day really guna try and step away from the OPKs this month and focus on the above method and hope for the best xx

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 17/08/2022 22:51

@mamazac Are you testing at same time each day? Keep OPKing for a few days. Yesterday's may be wrong. I suppose if you DTD tonight at least you cover it.

@Hopefulprincess I see a line!! Goodluck!

Been constipated all day and cramping. Think it's ovulation day then. DTD to cover it šŸ˜‚

@ChickenT2b Yeah that’s what I meant. That study sounds really interesting, but I guess you wouldn’t want to be in the placebo group. Really wishing you all the best x

@Derinsea12 awww I know that feeling. Enjoy it! :)

@Hopefulprincess I see it!!!

Hopefulprincess · 17/08/2022 21:00

Hello šŸ‘‹ Iv missed you all!!! Just here to say Iv not been ttc really and got these at lunch today … the only tests I had Iv got frer coming tomorrow so I’m back in the game šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ hope your all ok? I hope there’s been some bfps
