Hi all, thought I'd start a new thread for those starting new cycles.
I'm on CD5, so only stopped my period today.
I have PCOS so ovulation is rare.. I had my first ever positive OPK last cycle so fingers crossed.
I'll start testing for ovulation at CD7ish and then every 2 days (last month was CD27 so could be a long wait haha).

@Sj2505 it is so hard to refrain! I have no tests at home this month though so will have to go buy some. Going to try hold off until 15th which will be 12DPO 🤞🏻

It’s difficult this month because boyfriends birthday is 2 weeks after AF is due, im not planning on telling him when i test etc and if i get a BFP will tell him the wonderful news on his birthday..

Im not too bad today, got a dull ache at the right side of my stomach, feels like a very faint period pain and it’s aching into my lower back. Only 6DPO so could have slept strange!
How are you and how is everybody else?

Sj2505 · 09/08/2022 09:38

@LauraA31 it's so hard to refrain isn't it. I am now only 1dpo, already feels like a looooong road 😂

How's everyone doing?

LauraA31 · 08/08/2022 13:50

@Sj2505 I tested last month from 8DPO and was absolutely gutted each and every day! I’m going to try hold out for as long as possible this time, but knowing me i will test 10DPO haha!

thank you both! @NatGee I never get any signs of ovulation so happy with this months little signs, although my boobs are giving me hell haha!
The dog is also super strange this month- I know this won’t mean anything but she is really clingy to me and following me around every single room. Boyfriend mentioned it and when he is right, she is by my side every second im home and even tries to stop boyfriend giving me a cuddle or anything!

Sj2505 · 08/08/2022 13:44

@LauraA31 sounds positive!
It would be good to work out who is the furthest along, so who will be testing first. I'll usually test around 10dpo

@LauraA31 hey Laura those sound like very positive ovulation signs. I'm onto my third cycle TTC and found that symptoms vary month on month which I think are all signs of progesterone spikes. Ive begun recording my BBT and it helps a lot really easy to do as well I recommend it. Baby dust to you, hopefully youll have news of a BFP for us this month

LauraA31 · 08/08/2022 12:36

@Sj2505 keeping everything crossed for you!! X

LauraA31 · 08/08/2022 12:36

How is everybody doing? 🙂

Im 5DPO today and my boobs have been sore since predicated ovulation day, i know too early for pregnancy related but some hormones are raging somewhere!
I keep getting spots, which never happens mid cycle and only happens at AF week and my boobs are never ever sore, im absolutely shattered too and very congested in a morning. Strange things to be happening to me but taking them as a positive that ovulation might have happened!
I don’t BBT and only ovulation tests so fingers crossed this is our month 🤞🏻

NatGee · 08/08/2022 08:16

@Sj2505 rooting for ya, happy BDing!

dobby13 · 08/08/2022 07:59

Eeek - good luck @Sj2505 I have everything crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sj2505 · 08/08/2022 07:14

OMG, I'm ovulating 😊 got a static smiley this morning!! Obviously missed the flashing one yesterday.
I guess the conceive plus is as good as they say.
I've contacted my donor!! Yay!

Sj2505 · 07/08/2022 22:34

@NatGee got next day delivery too haha, I'm so impatient!

@dobby13 welcome, we're fairly close in the cycle, I'm CD12.

Started getting some twinges/pains in the left side today. Hopefully it's a good signs. Also getting a bit stropy! Don't know if OH is genuinely annoying me or if I'm just being unreasonable and sensitive haha!

NatGee · 07/08/2022 18:45

Hi @dobby13 indeed! baby dust to you and everyone here :)

dobby13 · 07/08/2022 18:16

Hi all 👋🏻

Thanks @Sj2505 for the new thread.

CD10 for me today. Hoping August is kind to all of us ❤️

NatGee · 07/08/2022 18:11

@Sj2505 uh that looks lush i love nuts and seeds, all the right fats and keep you full for long. Great find!

Sj2505 · 07/08/2022 15:19

Fully taking advantage of Holland & Barrett 20% off sale. I know there's a mix of three seeds in one bag but can't do any harm surely.. the other one with Q10, that's an ingredient in my Conceive Plus.. and that bag just sounds nice haha!

@NatGee oh how interesting! I've never heard of that. I don't mind seeds, so I might give it a try! Thank you

NatGee · 07/08/2022 13:04

@Sj2505 I found keto to be very doable as you don't get hungry much. Seed cycling is the concept of eating seeds that promote the hormones you need at each stage of your menstrual cycle. So, flax and pumpkin seeds elevate estrogen so good for the follicular stage. Sesame and sunflower seeds support progesterone production so good for the luteal stage. I have these every morning with my breakfast. I figured its worth a try! I'm linking an article for you below xx

Sj2505 · 07/08/2022 10:40

@NatGee oh I wish I had the will power to diet!! Although I am eating healthier which might be why I ovulated last month.
What's seed cycling?

OP posts:
NatGee · 07/08/2022 10:35

@Sj2505 it is! I had a moment last night when I was like gosh, our bodies are such well oiled machines. Obviously provided there are no health issues as long as we look after it, it can tell us a lot. I'm being really careful about food, dropped 4 kgs in the last couple of months by doing a Keto diet, so i'm at my optimum. And started seed cycling too, but it takes three months for any benefits to show. Anyone doing that?

@MissDottie lots of baby dust to everyone, it is VERY hard to be patient. Sometimes I wish I were a man and fire a baby away every day if I wanted to

MissDottie · 07/08/2022 10:09

@Sj2505 Sounds promising!! It’s so hard to be patient isn’t it. Fingers crossed for nice clear OPKs for you this month and a bit of luck!

Sj2505 · 07/08/2022 10:02

@NatGee we had pics on our last thread so I wouldn't worry about it haha.
It's so interesting to track isn't it, my OH has been amazed 😆

OP posts:
NatGee · 07/08/2022 09:59

@Sj2505 don't say that, soon enough ill be taking pictures too ! 😊
Oh yes, I started a couple days ago and my temperature plummeted just before AF arrived. I had hoped it was implantation but it dropped again today and AF is here in full force. Amazing how clever our bodies are

Sj2505 · 07/08/2022 09:53

@NatGee no such thing as oversharing here, we all need to at one point or another ☺️
BBT is very reliable. I tracked mine last cycle and had a very clear rise and drop over ovulation.

OP posts:
NatGee · 07/08/2022 09:50

@Sj2505 I see, thank you, I am wondering if I keep missing the window? I get a LOT of EWCM but only notice it when a literal puddle of it is sat on my knickers and it only every happens once a month. I am sorry for oversharing, but prior to TTC I always thought this was the day I ovulate. Last cycle, we began BDing on that day but it might have been too late, hence my question.
For this cycle ill be monitoring my BBT and mucus, in addition to progesterone hoping Ill have better luck xx

Sj2505 · 07/08/2022 09:38

@NatGee welcome! I think some women get EWCM throughout fertile window, so it might be that you noticed it towards the end of the window. Depends on your body really. I noticed EWCM on the Tuesday night and didn't get my peak until Saturday, so mine was several day beforehand 🤷🏻‍♀️
I track everything I can but only because ov is so rare and sporadic for me.
