TWW starting 31.07.22 - Company Needed

Hey all!

I'm on several other threads that I'm keeping up with but some of them are a tad long now, so I thought I'd start a new one for people to join.

Ovulation day for me today (30.07.22) so TWW starts officially tomorrow. AF due on the 12th. I have tests in the house, but my goal this month is to keep my mind busy and avoid symptom spotting! I don't plan on testing if I can help it. Want to avoid the disappointment if I can.

We are TTC #1 and we are in cycle 4 now. I had a chemical mid June when we weren't officially TTC but when it happened we realised now was the time to actively try. We wanted it so badly.

So that's a little about me and I would love some company in a slightly smaller thread.

@Maxime34 @Nypie I'm also due by 13th August, so hoping to hold out until maybe 15th if AF doesn't arrive before then. Currently 1DPO and found myself symptom spotting last cycle, so hoping to be a little more relaxed this time.

I'm going to try and hold out until the 14th to test as I drove myself a bit loopy with early testing last month. If it's a bfp it should be a strong positive by then 🤞🏻 Anyone feeling any early symptoms??

@TheCakeIsALie18 Ahh thats so exciting someone hopefully someones on this thread will be testing positive in 2 weeks! I guess it all depends some peopoe test positive on 7 days some 12. I've bought the tests for our first cycle so I figure I might as well use them though I know I'll drive myself crazy either way!

@LorrenK I don't blame you I'll be testing on saturday ...🤞🤞🤞hope the days fly for you!

Anybody testing this week! I’m getting so impatient!! I’m 8DPO and I think I’m going to test with a FRER on 10DPO! 2 more sleeps to go!

@Nypie aww myself and lots of us are due on the 13th too. I'm going to try and hold out until then as I'll only be 10dpo... but unless it's likely that I would implant early enough to pick up a positive at 10dpo? Dunno lol. Just trying to stay chilled at the mo haha xx

@Flowersflowers121 I'm good thanks ❤️ I'm 3dpo today as well. Still feeling pretty chilled. The days are going by reasonably quickly. I hope it stays that way and I don't start getting obsessive again haha.

My app keeps pushing my ovulation day forward and now the estimate is Wednesday 3rd. DH and I are getting tired now 😅

First month TTC here too. Not using temperatures/sticks etc (yet) but think I ovulated today, making tomorrow 1DPO. Great to have people on similar journeys.

Wow I've missed on lots of chat ready haha.

When I had Covid my ovulation was 3 days late but AF still came at the exact time it was due. So that may happen to you too? Time will tell I guess.

I know what you all mean about feeling better when you're tracking and feeling in control of being in the know. It helps keep me sane when I can say to myself that X,Y and Z is happening so I could be experiencing that and not pg etc... but I still always hope for pg lol. I reckon give me a week and I'll be chomping at the bit to test lol xx

@Hannargh it didn't affect me the first time either so weird but this time ovulation was delayed which I assume AF will be too!

Yeah Premom seems great and I use easy@home OPK's so makes it so much easier x

@xttcbabyno1x that's so good you know what's going on especially after having had Covid. We had it back in April/May and I don't think it changed my cycle length but it may have affected ovulation and I wouldn't have known back then.

Hopefully all the apps are telling you the same thing! I started using Clue but moved to Premom once I started all the testing. They're matching up though now, which is nice.

@Hannargh ahh I'm the same now I'm tracking my ovulation and recently my bbt too, I feel much more content! My cycles vary between 22-28 days (32 this cycle because I had covid) so it's no good for me just guessing!

I have four different tracking apps at the moment, talk about obsessed 😂😂

@xttcbabyno1x ah I've found it so reassuring to feel like I actually know what's going on. This is also cycle 4 for us. First two I was just estimating and learning as much about ttc as possible (having carefully ignored it until I knew we were going to). Cycle 3 I started using opks and bbt and same again this time. Having charts and data seems to help my brain calm down and reassures me too.

I'm using Premom and it doesn't seem to suggest I should test ever 😅

@Hannargh so this is our first month "properly" as in making sure I'm getting my peak etc! Prior to this about 3/4 cycles not using any protection and just DTD when we fancied! How about you?

It's so hard waiting isn't it! Flo is telling me I can test in 7 days, not sure why it's doing that to me 😂😂

@xttcbabyno1x how many cycles have you been ttc for, if you don't mind me asking?

I've held out until AF for testing so far so hoping I'll be able to do the same this time. 13th August will be 12DPO and my normal LP seems to be 11 days. I'd probably be tempted to test then or hold off until 15th just in case my body is playing more games with me this month 😅

@xttcbabyno1x Glad there's a few of us! Makes the wait a little easier. Last month I was slowly losing my mind and spotting all the things I wouldn't normally notice.

When do you think you might test? I'll have to live through you if you start testing early 😊
