TWW starting 31.07.22 - Company Needed

Hey all!

I'm on several other threads that I'm keeping up with but some of them are a tad long now, so I thought I'd start a new one for people to join.

Ovulation day for me today (30.07.22) so TWW starts officially tomorrow. AF due on the 12th. I have tests in the house, but my goal this month is to keep my mind busy and avoid symptom spotting! I don't plan on testing if I can help it. Want to avoid the disappointment if I can.

We are TTC #1 and we are in cycle 4 now. I had a chemical mid June when we weren't officially TTC but when it happened we realised now was the time to actively try. We wanted it so badly.

So that's a little about me and I would love some company in a slightly smaller thread.

Much love xoxox

@Hannargh honestly he has no prioritises 😂😂😂. I swear I put that thermometer in half-asleep and the beeping wakes me up!

@MumofAlf sorry dp is not peforming his services when needed you can borrow my dp he's very keen!
But tbh It only takes one 🤞🤞

@TheCakeIsALie18 8dpo some strange symptoms but maybe period might show early! Testing tomorrow at 9dpo if I remeber so I can start to prepare myself for period. Howre you...still sneezing??

TheCakeIsALie18 · 06/08/2022 20:07

7dpo today. How are all you beauties feeling? Xx

@Nypie yesss TTC baby no 2 and this is cycle 2. Last cycle I ovulated later than I thought and we didn’t DTD enough. This cycle I know when I ovulated but not sure we DTD enough either. Causing some contention with my DH as he can’t be bothered some nights when I suggest it. That’s a story for another day perhaps 🤣!

TheCakeIsALie18 · 06/08/2022 00:01

@Hannargh haha thanks. Yeah we try to put a positive spin on it even though I spent a couple days crying lol.

Aww my thermometer beeps too haha. Every morning at 6.30 I wake up...beep beep beep beep... go back to sleep 🤣👌🏻 I was tempted to get a fertility one but my standard digital one from tesco works perfectly fine. It works in tenths that's all I need haha.

I hope you've all had a good week. I'm so ready for the weekend now! Xx

Is this quickly turning into a thread of no-testers? I like it! I see a lot of women on here psyching each other into testing (but obv if anyone feels like testing early, go for it, let us know - I want to see! 😁)

Love your logic @TheCakeIsALie18 - it sounds like a very sensible and reassuring approach to take.

And @Nypie that's very true. And actually quite reassuring that testing early isn't bad - sadly there's always a risk.
And how dare your DP not realise how reasonable your request is. I'm off to see some friends this weekend and am preparing to wake them all up with early morning beeping when I take my temp 🙃 😅

Nypie · 05/08/2022 23:00

@Hannargh aw thank you mine was a bitch as me and dp wanted different things but now we're both ready :). Hope you're able to hold off I think next cycle I'll try and wait it out.

Tbh it is true that testing early can mean you get a line that fades but that can also happen if you test after a missed period or at your first scan and beyond unfortunately

I'm in a right mood now not due to pregnancy but losing my bloody themometer 😂😂😂 maybe its a sign! My dog chewed my first and now dps refusing my completely rational request of buying me a £40 bluetooth one 😂😂

@MumofAlf 👋👋👋 tell us about your life...are you trying for your second what cycle are you on?

@TheCakeIsALie18 you won't be getting rid of me that easily!!

@xttcbabyno1x well done for staying strong! 8dpo sat but also dont feel like testing weirdly

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 22:33

@xttcbabyno1x haha I was saying earlier that I've got weird hay-fever type symptoms and this evening I've had some light cramping but I'm not reading into that too much. The itchy nose is getting to me at the moment lol xx

xttcbabyno1x · 05/08/2022 22:04

@TheCakeIsALie18 yessssss haha that's such a long time 🙈😅 are you feeling anything ? Xx

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 22:03

@xttcbabyno1x samessss 7dpo tomorrow squad 💪🏻 I don't feel like testing yet earlier. Stay strong girlie. Let's see if we can both make it to the 13th haha xx

How's everyone doing today? 7dpo tomorrow! not feeling like testing yet which is unlike me x

MumofAlf · 05/08/2022 20:21

Think that’s a really good idea! Nice to see the journey through, whether that be pregnancy or still ttc! I’ll stick around whatever the outcome

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 20:13

@jollydollyirl omg I'm sorry glad I'm not the only one! It's driving me insane. I don't get hay-fever very often... maybe once every 3 or 4 years lol... I don't feel ill, covid negative, no cough... just a tickly itchy nose with sneezing and it goes from stuffy to runny in a heartbeat lol.

@Nypie you say that I had my chemical first cycle that we were "trying" never say never 🤞🏻❤️

@Hannargh thank you lovely. It wasn't too difficult thankfully. We are quite rational logical people and we told ourselves that a) it means we can conceive b) it's super common c) fertility is higher following a CP or MC and d) now we get to do the fun bit of trying again haha. Aye just stay patient. I'm sure you'll be fine. It feels like an eternity waiting but you're strong ❤️

@MumofAlf hey!! Welcome!! Of course you can join us. I made this thread because all the other ones I'm on have gone dead because most of the women have had their BFPs and I guess they aren't too fussed about keeping in touch lol. Sounds like I'm being a bitch haha but I'd love to follow people's stories through. Not just complain about the TWW and then when I get a BFP disappear and leave everyone else to fens for themselves... I hope that comes across as intended lol ❤️ xxx

MumofAlf · 05/08/2022 19:51

Hope it’s ok to join too! I’m a bit behind the rest of you I think, ovulated yesterday (I think)and period due 18th Aug. Couldn’t see another thread for slightly later

Hannargh · 05/08/2022 19:22

Sorry to hear about your mmc @Nypie and your chemical @TheCakeIsALie18 - I hope they weren't too difficult for you.

Oh yes, it's definitely too early for me to be feeling anything and I don't know if I even would by the time AF is due. I think part of the reason I avoid testing early is so that, if I did end up getting a positive but then it faded away, then I wouldn't need to know. But it would also be reassuring to know that I can get pregnant. Just have to stay patient 🙏

Nypie · 05/08/2022 19:08

@TheCakeIsALie18 I'd also like to say I'm not too serious this cycle like who on earth is lucky enough to do it the first time! I just not surw how I'll feel when I do the test and if AF comes I keep saying in my head I have until march to get upset but hormones are a bitch!

@Hannargh its honestly so hard I had a mmc a bout a year ago I was on the pill so not expecting it but was tired and feeling sick after eating it was my mum who convinved me to test but I have no idea how far I was and was not looking out for any symptoms 4/5 might be a bit early for implantation

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 13:29

@Nypie I'm having something weird that started yesterday morning...

Hay-fever type symptoms. Stuffy/runny/itchy nose, watery eyes, sneezing.... it's not a cold as I feel fine and I've taken antihistamines to no effect... several places I've look have said that a lot of people get that as a symptom before bfp.... I don't want to get my hopes up.... xxx

+1! I can't stop sneezing! Covid negative and generally don't suffer from hayfever so very strange!

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 16:12

@Hannargh only my chemical in June to go on for me. But I know my body pretty well so that's something lol. Only wondering about this weird snotty nose haha xx

OP posts:
Hannargh · 05/08/2022 15:08

@TheCakeIsALie18 @Nypie it's so hard to tell! I've never been pregnant before so I'm watching out for anything, which could be everything and nothing. So just trying to ignore it reminding myself that anything I feel is still just too early (4 or 5 DPO depending on the app). Have either of you had any experience being pregnant before?

I also keep staring at my temp charts to try and interpret what's going on but there's not enough DPO data to work with yet. Doesn't stop me checking them though 🙄

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 15:04

@Nypie haha same. My search history is hilarious. I'm just happy I'm not actively symptom spotting this month. Last month was a nightmare haha. Every twinge and niggle I was like ooooh what could this be....

Other than this stupid itchy nose I'm still pretty chilled.

This is our life right now haha. We are all here to support each other during the madness lol xx

@TheCakeIsALie18
ahhh dr google all I've been doing is typing 3dpo...4dpo...5dpo lost it. That does sound promising though!

Haha I feel like everytime I get excited I just think of my chart and it brings me back to life 😂😂.

Lets just say the eggs coulddd be implanting. Go eggs 🥚🥚. I know not long at all until we know for sure...I need to get a life!

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 14:36

@Nypie yeah I knew that congestion was common during pregnancy but I didn't know about hay-fever type symptoms being a common symptom of pg until I couldn't help myself and googled it lol.

I don't feel ill or anything it's just bloody annoying. Sneezing several times an hour and constantly rubbing my nose because it's itchy lol. I've got pulling down there today too but I'm not looking into anything because I don't want to convince myself wrongly lol.

Ooooh I've got everything crossed for you. Roughly 1 week left to wait! Xx

@TheCakeIsALie18 its so hard to not get your hopes up! I've definitely heard about people feeling like they are coming down with something before get there bfp so many 🤞🤞🤞🤞hopefully this is the month!

I'm just lying down and noticed some twinges and pulling going on down there, please be a lovely strongly egg implanting!

@TheCakeIsALie18 honestly dont know whats going on its just dancing above the base line! Ive been looking at erractic ff charts which are making me feel a bit better 😂 but not much symptoms today a 7dpo nipples are less sore slight back pain that I'm sure I'm imagining that

Anyone actually having symptoms 😂😂

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 08:53

@Nypie funny you say that. I'm 6dpo too and My temp hasn't risen as much as it usually does either. I'm about 2-3 tenths lower than I would usually be. No idea what that means though.

Yep very exciting ❤️❤️ xx
