Hey all!

I'm on several other threads that I'm keeping up with but some of them are a tad long now, so I thought I'd start a new one for people to join.

Ovulation day for me today (30.07.22) so TWW starts officially tomorrow. AF due on the 12th. I have tests in the house, but my goal this month is to keep my mind busy and avoid symptom spotting! I don't plan on testing if I can help it. Want to avoid the disappointment if I can.

We are TTC #1 and we are in cycle 4 now. I had a chemical mid June when we weren't officially TTC but when it happened we realised now was the time to actively try. We wanted it so badly.

So that's a little about me and I would love some company in a slightly smaller thread.

Much love xoxox

@TheCakeIsALie18 ya I plan on going to atleast 6 weeks with my testing or till the poppy seed survives which ever is shortest🤞🏼. I am so glad this time around its been a positive experience for you and all is progressing well ❤️❤️

TheCakeIsALie18 · 14/12/2022 20:47

@pugsB oh no, I'm sorry to had to see all that ❤️ yeah I enjoyed watching the line progression. I stopped testing at 30dpo lol. It took me another couple of weeks though to stop actively looking for blood 😢 xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 I am afraid the ship has sailed. I have already seared my brain with those 😫 but that was a month back. This time I am firmly staying clear! Just focussing on line progression for now--using cheapies everyday and the expensive ones every other day!

TheCakeIsALie18 · 14/12/2022 12:10

@pugsB If I could give you one bit of advice lol... avoid Google as best you can 🤣 I ended up searching symptoms of miscarriage and what to expect... when I had the miscarriage it was only at 5 weeks so there was nothing to see. But the search lead me down a horrible rabbit hole of miscarriage images. Please don't do that to yourself ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for the pic @TheCakeIsALie18 Looks amazing 🤩. I have been scouring the internet for these lately! I swear google is going to destroy my sanity.

@pugsB I've attached my dye stealer for you. I didn't get it until 21dpo though and not everyone gets them. So don't worry if your don't!

@DearieMeWhatsUp welcome! Yep I'm super glad this thread is still active. I never expected to meet so many lovely people when I started the thread in July! I'm sorry about your CP, I had one too. Glad you're feeling better and getting back to it now. Fingers crossed for this month for you!!!

I am going to set up a 2nd thread as we are getting close to the message limit in here. I will let you know when it's up and what it's called. Will be good for all of you to join me over there too ❤️❤️ xxx

@Hannargh thanks dear 😊. So happy that you got to hear the heartbeat! Must have been wonderful ❤️. Right now we are thinking of waiting till week 6 to tell family if we get there. Lets see how that goes. Did you get what they call a "dye-stealer" in the early days?

@DearieMeWhatsUp Welcome! I am sorry about your early loss but glad to know you are back to it! Fingers crossed for you! Hope you get the Christmas present you want Xx

DearieMeWhatsUp · 13/12/2022 17:50

I'm joining as this thread seems nice and active and can't get enough of TTC threads 🤣

I'm CD16, around 3 DPO according to my clue app, but I don't track ovulation so no idea really!! Cycle 3 for me, first cycle ended as a CP, and took cycle 2 off to recover and also had stomach bug so wasn't in the right place! I'm due my period Christmas Eve!

TheCakeIsALie18 · 13/12/2022 16:14

@Hannargh awww I loved hearing the heartbeat. We heard it at our private 16 week scan. Was amazing. Even treated ourselves to a cute blue bunny that has it inside ❤️❤️

We've officially got proper kicks going on here now. I finally feel pregnant! Little man is super active day and night. I hope your pregnancy is going nice and smoothly ❤️❤️ xxx

Ahh just seen the news - congratulations @pugsB !! I had the same kind of attitude - just knowing something has stuck is a great feeling, even though you can't help but worry or wonder how long it will last. And that's so good that you know!

I told my parents within a couple of weeks (after I'd continued testing on cheapies just to make sure all was still going on) and they were the only ones who knew for a while. And have slowly filtered the message out to the people I want to know since then, but we probably won't tell the world until we've had our 20 week scan. It's just personal to each couple and you'll know what's right for you.

We've just had our 16/17 week midwife appointment and heard the heartbeat for the first time ❤

pugsB · 13/12/2022 00:55

Thank you @TheCakeIsALie18 💜💜

TheCakeIsALie18 · 13/12/2022 00:13

@pugsB having a scan to show is a really nice way of telling family. We left a scan photo on his mums worktop by the kettle while they were out one day. So they came home to a surprise and then phoned us haha.
You'll find the right way for you. I've got everything crossed it all goes smoothly! Xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 I am favoring your way right now. As i was saying in the previous post probably no point thinking too hard on this especially at this point. I know I am gonna tell family first and then close friends and finally the rest in waves. Will decide when the time comes. I am cautious by nature and was really hoping to have a scan done before even telling family but it seems like that is not gonna happen!

pugsB · 12/12/2022 23:43

Thanks @WilllowStar! Just saw your message. I am doing good I think. Mega distracted and didn't get any work done today lol.

pugsB · 12/12/2022 23:42

@eleveneleven11 oh sorry! I think i got confused for a sec and thought this was the 16 week one! lol you clearly said 10+6! Was this your first scan/ ultrasound btw? I saw mentioned online of one at 6 weeks as well for confirmation and placement etc.

As you said there is probably no one way to go about sharing this news. I will prolly do what feels right at the moment if and when the time comes. Need to first make it past these few weeks!

How is everyone else, especially the ttc crowd? Seems like its just a few of us active on here now. This seems to be a super lucky thread gals, I can attest to that!

WilllowStar · 12/12/2022 23:17

@pugsB wow that’s amazing news! Congratulations. I hope you are feeling okay so far xx

TheCakeIsALie18 · 12/12/2022 22:49

@pugsB we didn't tell family or close friends until we had our early scan to show because it showed that it the pregnancy was viable. But we didn't tell everyone else until our NHS 12 week scan. Everyone is different though. The pregnancy we lost we told people straight away, so this time we wanted to wait a little so we didn't have to untell people. Xxx

OP posts:
eleveneleven11 · 12/12/2022 22:33

@pugsB no we have a few weeks until we find out the gender. still got that to look forward to! ❤️

your body will be stretching a little and prepping for the bean to stick which i'm guessing is the sensations you're feeling. try and relax into it 🥰

i think in terms of telling people, do whatever is going to make you happy and comfortable. we have slowly filtered out the news to our friends and family from 4 and a half weeks onwards because we wanted a support system around us, especially after the miscarriage. i don't regret not waiting until 12 weeks/a scan!

pugsB · 12/12/2022 22:17

@eleveneleven11 so nice to see your little one ❤️❤️🥹. And so glad you got those extras! Did you find out the gender at all?

And thank you so much for the wishes 😊😊. I think its finally sinking in a bit for me. I am so glad to hear you had a similar experience early on. Its not quite cramps but more like pinches and some randoms stabs in by upper abdomen and back and even thighs and buttocks all on the right side. Sometimes i get an odd ache in my left ovary area but that is less frequent.

I booked my first appointment with OBGYN today but couldn't get one before 9 weeks!! I think i will go crazy by then if this one sticks that far out! I am not sure whether I should tell friends if I don't even have a scan yet.

TheCakeIsALie18 · 12/12/2022 22:08

@eleveneleven11 I'm glad it went well ❤️❤️ our private scans always gave us videos and photos. Way better than the NHS lol xxx
