Jollybear HCB, so sorry to hear about your liver and potentially not being able to continue ttc . Feel free to let off steam any time, a problem shared and all that... My fingers are crossed for the speedy return to ttc for my HCB
glasto I concur with MOB as I seem to have missed egg too by assuming an approx ov day based on previous cycles...just keep at it
Bucky good to see you back and in good spirits - your food intake is angelic compared to my coffee and chocolate filled morning - it is Friday afterall..
PicknMix sorry to hear you are feeling , good luck with the house hunt.
OMG MOB you are very thorough - you know my temps better than me. I had wondered if had very late ov too - if I have then I missed it as no bd'ing around that time - that'll teach me to take my eye off the ball (or balls in this case - sorry couldn't resist !)
Am looking forward to temping as hopefully that will help me understand my cycles. CD 40 today - am never usually longer then 35 so it is an abnormally long one for me zzzzz.... Have a fun afternoon with dh !

glastochick · 18/01/2008 12:27

If we're going to talk about food....

So far today:

2 hot chocolates
1 Chicken Katsu curry

glastochick · 18/01/2008 12:21

Jollybear I have told DH his services are required on CD17 (am) and CD18 (pm) also, and then figure we should BD on days 20 and 22 also just in case. Hoping by then I'll have had some OV signs!

Crikey, didn't realise what you're going through, Can't even guess how stressful that must be (((hugs))). Hope everything goes well with the scan, but I'd be happier seeing you get a BFP so you'd have to cancel the scan appt, IYSWIM

Fertility friend says I should have ov'd by now, but that's based on my cycle length. Maybe I'll start temping next cycle....

PicknMix · 18/01/2008 12:05

Lovely new thread - got a bit wobbly for a sec when I couldn't find you all!!

MOD - thanks for the concern (on the old thread), I'm trying to put a brave face on this month but, no, I'm not really ok with it. Its all a bit pants really.... Coupled with AF arriving, it was this time last year that I miscarried and also we're trying to move house (have to be out of current house by end of this month, still can't find anywhere to move into - aghhhh!!!) I'm sure all will be ok though. (sorry, rant over!!)

Jolly that sounds like a LOT to contend with - you must have been through so much already so can understand your concerns. I too have my fingers crossed for a healthy result in Feb for you.

Bucky - get some fruit and veg down you quick so you can write some 'virtuous' food down!!! So pleased you're still around, was getting worried for sec that you'd done a runner (altho, in true sensitive style, would understand if you needed to).

Hi to everyone else, apologies if I've missed out anything very important, have to get on with house hunting now (supposed to be 'working from home'!)

JollyBear · 18/01/2008 12:00

Thanks GG Bucky MOB. I was just so disappointed when I realised that the appointment meant we couldn't TTC next month. DH just keeps saying that the main thing is that I'm OK. and although he really wants a baby he just doesn't understand my fears about if things go wrong I might never be able to have one.

Bucky You are not alone so far today -

2 teas
1 toasted t-cake
4 choccie digestives - I'd eat more but they've run out!

MOB I won't disappear off the thread as long as no one minds

GryffinGirl · 18/01/2008 11:55
madoldbird · 18/01/2008 11:46

Well GG gues what i had a 10am this morning - gnocci with carbonara sauce! Not sure if it was late breakfast or v early lunch! My excuse - ovulation - makes me crave carbs...

(That, and storing up some energy for an afternoon of BDing )

madoldbird · 18/01/2008 11:43

Lots of other people have appeared 9and, no, i haven't started doing anything more productive yet!)

Hello jollybear crumbs, what a lot you have been through. Come on here and say what you like, when you like, that is what we are all here for. It must be so disappointing that you cannot ttc next month, but have your scan, make sure you are in tip-top condition, and then get to it with gusto the month after! You are not, of course, allowed to go missing from the thread next month

GG lets hope that this new thread is a lucky one for you this time. And get fluttering those eyelashes later!

Bucky good to see you. You have been missed, but am impressed at the dedication to work!!! You food intake sounds fine - take the vits with some water, and that cancels out the biscuits and hot cross bun!!

GryffinGirl · 18/01/2008 11:38

Hurrah! Bucky has returned from the wilderness.

Oh god, a food diary. My reflexologist/ nutritionist would sack me if they read what I ate yesterday....

1 black coffee
1 tea with milk
1 glass of white wine
1 glass of red wine
some Celebrations left over from Christmas
a prawn sandwich
can of Coke
two slices of buttered toast

erm....maybe that's why no beanie wants to make its home in my nutritionally starved womb

Bucky2008 · 18/01/2008 11:36

I X posted too. for Jollybear

GryffinGirl · 18/01/2008 11:32

Jolly I crossed posts with you. I had no idea you had so much else to contend with as well as the stresses of TTC. You sound very positive and happy and this is definitely the place to talk about all the things stressing you about TTC, so please don't worry about spilling your heart out here . I never stop moaning about nothing in particular . Fingers crossed for a clear result in February.

Bucky2008 · 18/01/2008 11:30

oh and thanks for the new thread MrsEi.

Bucky2008 · 18/01/2008 11:29

I'm here, I'm here . Just working hard for once!

Haven't had a good read really, but sorry about the BFNs .

GG how did it go? Did you go? Like I said haven't read properly but got the impression you were going to the docs.

I'm not stopping ttc, just trying to stop putting so much pressure on myself. I too have booked up with the reflexologist, although she says she is a 'holisitic therapist' so I have to write down all my food as well.... Quite embarrassing as today is day one and I have eaten:

1 coffee with milk and sugar
1 tea with milk and sweetner
2 digestive biscuits
1 hot cross bun

and its not even 12.00 yet. Not exactly nutritious!! I haven't even taken my vit and had a glass of water....must go off and do it now .

Sorry my ex cycle buddies PicknMix and Scaryhairy are having a time of it at the moment .

GryffinGirl · 18/01/2008 11:26

Morning all! Love the new thread, MrsEi. I have lost count of how many 2WW threads I have exhausted in my Cycle 14 run at TTC . I MUST be the longest survivor by now

I have managed to tear myself away from the Good Housekeeping threads about descaling kettles and I am focussing on TTC today! grin]. CD15 for me, which is usually the start of the 2WW for my 28 day cycle, but last month I was up to 31 days, so i am not so sure yet whether I am on the 2WW. I'll have to bat my eyelashes at DH again this evening . I managed to seduce DH last night (he's a push over ) and the day before and on Monday, so at least I can be sure that I tried this month

mibbes - yes I'm another Scot, although I am an ex-pat these days . Hope the lucky white heather works for me this month !

Right, I am off to do some much needed work. I can't seem to get into the swing of being in the office again after so long away, even though it has been a 2 day week for me

JollyBear · 18/01/2008 11:14

Cross posted MOB Hope you have a productive afternoon

JollyBear · 18/01/2008 11:13

Morning all,

Mibbes hope that is the start of AF for you and you can leave the waiting for AF limbo.

glasto Just keep BDing for a while longer just in case your egg is delayed. I missed the boat by presuming I'd ovulated!

I'm because I've realised that I am probably not going to be able to TTC next month. I have a hospital appointment for a scan in Feb for which I have to have an injection of a radioactive tracer so obviously I can't be pregnant. If I was pregnant then I'd have cancelled it gladly but it is looking like I'll be on the 2WW so won't be able to try.

The test is because I have a condition which caused my liver to fail about 5 years ago. I had a transplant and I am fit and healthy . I just don't want to scan to show any deteriation because I want a baby so badly. I'm not sure DH understands how worried I am because bad news might mean we can't TTC - not that we are expecting bad news IYSWIM.

Sorry to burden you ladies with this but no one knows we are TTC and we are all in the same boat here.

madoldbird · 18/01/2008 11:12

mibbes i have just been reading back through the old thread, and saw that you had a temp dip around 8th jan. Could that have been ovulation? I don't want to get your hopes up unecessarily, but just a thought. Right, i'm going to go and do something more constructive now, as i'm obsessing not only over my own cycles, but other people's as well!!

madoldbird · 18/01/2008 11:02

Hello to scully too! Sorry, hadn't read through all the messages properly. Hope your 2ww goes quick.

madoldbird · 18/01/2008 11:00

Just checking into the new thread!!! Thank you MRSEI mibbes no chance that the brown cm could be an implantation bleed, is there? Sorry, have lost track of where you are in your cycle, and what CD you are. Just a thought. If it is Af starting, then i hope she turns up properly, so you can get down to some serious temping!

07MTW will be interested to hear how the reflexology goes. Did you find someone with an interest in fertlilty, or a general one? There was someone recently who got a BFP after some. Was it sarahnh?

Hello to glastochick scaryhairy BB2B

After 2 days of on my OPKs i don't have one today, so am hopeful that an egg will be hatching at some point today! We are both working half days today, so won't be on MN this afternoon..... gotta catch that egg!!!

Hope everyone has a good day. Bucky hope you are ok. I know you talked about "not trying" for a bit etc, but i hope you are still out there lurking! X

glastochick · 18/01/2008 10:18

MrsEi, lovely thread, thank you

Scary, I too shudder at the thought of feet being touched. Thought it was just one of my oddities. Glad to hear I'm not alone

Ok, so officially on the 2WW, but really wondering what's going on. No signs of OV yet, despite being on CD16. Usually get pains from the ovary, af type symptoms, tender and swollen (.)(.) etc. This month? Nada. All I've got is constipation (sorry, tmi )

Still, I'm trying to console myself that BD'ing on CDs 10, 11, 13 & 15 should do the trick.

I JUST WANT A BABY!!!

mibbes · 18/01/2008 10:15

MTW I totally inderstand your frustration - I am soo impatient and although only on cycle 2 just want my body to get on with it and do its job.
I guess I just need to chill and enjoy the ride (ooer missus!) as I have no right to complain / be impatient at this early stage.
Had a tiny bit of (TMI alert) brown stuff today - not the usual pre-af old blood wipe, more like brown CM - strange but then this has been a weird cycle for me. Temp was 37.1 today but I reckon Af will be on her way over the weekend.
Ho hum onwards and upwards for cycle 3 and some serious temp obsessing
ScaryHairy am with you on the feet touching front - I have very tickly feet so the prospect of someone touching them is not atall appealing. I think I'll leave reflexology until way further down the line

scully · 18/01/2008 09:10

Hi everyone, reflexology is lovely, I had when pregnant with dd2, but I love my feet being massaged etc
Well I'm on the 2ww now too, trying not to think about it too much, but difficult when I know so many people who are pregnant But I have 2 lovely dd's and am trying for no.3 after a miscarriage in Aug 07, so can't complain.

ScaryHairy · 17/01/2008 22:30

Thanks for the lovely new lucky thread!

Just spoke to DH and told him I am not pregnant and he sounded very disappointed. His boss is making him go away for work from Sunday night next week (instead of Monday) so I have suggested that a day in lieu at around the time I next ovulate is probably in order!

07 reflexology sounds nice, but doesn't it involve messing with feet? (shudders at thought of foot-touching). Also, vent away - 'tis what we're here for .

MrsEi25 · 17/01/2008 22:21

why thank you MTW i do aim to please
