crossposts DG Digibean is probably just getting cosy and embedding itself further. Take it easy though and let DH wait on you.

When do you leave for your holiday?

MissusH · 22/01/2008 13:20

Thanks GG - nice to be here

I am very def on the 2ww mibbes - am on cd33!! My cycles are normally around 31 days but I had a 28 day one in Oct followed by a cheeky 35 dayer last time. I'm not getting my hopes up but I reckon I'll test at the weekend if af is still a no-show.

I have no real symptoms - boobs are a bit tender, still have plenty of cm so no desert knickers here, and no cramps or anything... Could be hopeful, or could be body playing tricks again!

JollyBear · 22/01/2008 13:20

Hello all and welcome missusH GG Not sure about EWCM I'm afraid! The more of it the better though I would have thought Keep up that BD'ing!!

FL and Mibbes I agree with GG an excellent idea. It WILL help you understand your cycle better which would be of interest to your Dr. Tell DH that the Dr suggested it!

Factoring in my different wake up times (I didn't realise it was so critical ) my temp hasn't risen but judging by my CM I was gearing up to ov . I did an OPK yest and got a v faint line but the instructions said only a v dark line is positive. I don't think I am going to ov at all this cycle now!

digitalgirl · 22/01/2008 13:12

PMSL at LOTV and Seed Lotion

GG I seem to remember that Yardley bottle being perched on top of our family toilet for many years. I think it was one of those xmas pressies that kept doing the rounds.

Feeling very un-sympytomy today.... Digibean is misbehaving with some light brown spotting. Oh well, not long till we go off on our holiday, keeping my fingers very tightly crossed that it will be uneventful and rather dull (albeit in a very relaxing, beautiful kind of way)

GryffinGirl · 22/01/2008 13:02

hello MrsH - welcome back!

Nothing to report in the way of symptoms, but still had a little EWCM last night so pounced on poor DH when he came home from work after a 15 hour day (bless him he's very nice about being used - obsessed with TTC? me?! ). I have noticed that I am getting EWCM for a longer period of time - 5 days at least - which is good on the one hand because at least I am getting lots of it and bad on the other hand because it leaves a wider possibility/time for hatching eggs. Can I ask you lovely ladies how long your EWCM lasts for each month on average? is there an optimum?

fruitloop/mibbes - i think that is an excellent way to slightly pull the wool over your DP's eyes. The information is bound to be useful to the doctor too, so it can only help.

hellooooooo to everyone else. It is quiet and echo-y round here today

mibbes · 22/01/2008 11:15

Welcome MrsH, are you in 2ww ? Not that it matters, we symptom spot at any stage in our cycles on here ! I have a hilarious mental image of people gagging while bd'ing - oh dear perhaps we need to find an alternative for you

MissusH · 22/01/2008 11:07

Hi All - can I join your merry band?? (mrsh saunters over from lurking in the waiting room) I have muffins (not that I'm into bribery & corruption) and they are a weightwatchers recipe so not too naughty!!

Have been lol at the LOTV tips - that smell makes me gag so should make for interesting bd'ing if we used it!!

mibbes · 22/01/2008 10:58

OOh thanks Bucky this place smells all lovely and grannyish . Pass me a cup of that flowery tea - yum, I can feel my eggs getting ready as I drink it . I'll just put my feet up and let the flowers do their work...

mibbes · 22/01/2008 10:55

Morning Ladies !

I seem to have just previewed my post and not posted so here goes again - apologies if this is double posted...

Lots of hilarity on here last night - excellent work on the ttc tips - keep up the good work, am willing to try almost anything !
Who was it that bought the "sex by numbers" book a few weeks ago ? How is that going ? or is that a nosey question..?

Fruitloop I have been trying to think how we can get your dh to let you temp. I told my dp that I'm starting temping to work out what on earth is going on after this epic cycle (apologies if that seems insensitive as i know yours can be far longer but 44 days is very strange for me) and he was fine with it.
Am I right is saying that you have a scan coming up to get to the bottom of your long cycles ? Perhaps after that you could say that the doctor has asked you to temp in order to help them investigate...? Maybe slightly sneaky but I daresay that the info you gather actually would help so it is not a lie... what do you think, is it a cunning plan ?

I am now on day 5 of spotting grrrrr... temp dropped this morning though so hoping she arrives in full force tomorrow so can start new cycle. Never have I been so keen to get onto CD1 !

Bucky2008 · 22/01/2008 10:55

Hellooooooooooooooo...where is everyone today? .

I'm just heading out, but thought I would do a bit of dusting and sprucing up around the thread before I go. I have put some fresh LOTV in a vase for the enjoyment of all and made a pot of tea with fertility enhancing flower essences and essential oils .

Lap it up girlies...catch ya later...

GryffinGirl · 21/01/2008 20:59

ha ha ha - crossed posts with MrsEi and picknmix. I am off to dig up some acidic roots near a riverbank, which will be a challenge in heels in central London, but anything for the Cause

bucky my mum bought me that Bachs flower rescue remedy stuff when I had some bad news and it's wonderful. Mainly, i suspect because it is flower essence dissolved in lots of brandy

If anyone does want a soothing oil, I use Aveda Blue Oil dabbed on me bits (well, pulse points ) and it creates a lovely cooling sensation and smells luuurvely

GryffinGirl · 21/01/2008 20:53

madoldbird - ok enough! My sides are sore with laughing . To echo Bucky SEED LOTION??!! Although naturally i will point it out to DH with my "serious" face on and see if I can wind him up that i want him to use it to aid of his swimmers.

Hiya Bucky - urghhhhhh pigeons. Vile, vile, vile! I am almost phobic about those, nasty flying rats. I really don't envy you

Thanks for the fingers crossing and good vibes mibbes. I haven't completely given up hope, but I am certainly not fizzing with excitement, but i'll be either BFP or BFN around 31 Jan and it's ce sera sera (or whatever it is ). DH will probably find out whether he has Cross Channel or municipal baths standard swimmers about the same time.

Anyway, I'm off for a soothing bath and to dab myself in something irresistable Didn't Jane Seymour advertise this Yardley stuff on tv about three decades ago, looking slinky with billowing curtains? Or am I just showing my age here ? She had twins at 46, so maybe there is something in this LOTV stuff!!

PicknMix · 21/01/2008 20:48

And now I'm positively laughing at the lengths we might go to having read your post MrsEi!!!!!!!!

PicknMix · 21/01/2008 20:47

Bucky I'm sat here chuckling to myself at the thought of you following dh around with your tongue stuck out (at what though, given what LOTV is supposed to attract ) all because there is a flower on the bottle!!!!

Am sure the Natracalm is prob all placebo effect for me given that its just an over the counter job with herbs.... But it seems to help. Did consider some of the Serene-Um we sell for pets (work in a petshop) but thought that might be taking it a tad too far!!!

MrsEi25 · 21/01/2008 20:46

haha i have just read that you can eat fresh roots to 'solve sterility' on a really hippyish site so all we would have to do is put on our wellies and trek to the nearest acidic soiled riverbank and pick some, brush off aforemeantioned acidic soil and chow down hang on a sec while i find my wellies...not bucky get back down to that muddy bank and keep an eye out for LOTV you will nead a basket ala yogi bear apart from the fact that it wouldnt be called a pic-in-ic basket obv unless you plan to eat while you work only joking just an asda bag will do

Bucky2008 · 21/01/2008 20:39

Natracalm PicknMix?? I invested in Bach Rescue Remedy today...I am wondering if it would double as the LOTV and Natracalm all in one bottle . I have to spray it on my tongue though so I would have to stick my tongue out at DP to get any effect...In fact I am not even sure if it has LOTV in it, but it has a picture of a flower on it so it must have some sort of flower extract...

PicknMix · 21/01/2008 20:31

Evening all!

Tis a nasty windy and wet day here - wish I could've joined in with the retail therapy mibbes, instead had to deal with others indulging in their therapy (work in a shop !)

Am chuckling over the use of Lily of the Valley - read some of the thread in my lunch break and it made me laugh out loud! (Although, as crazy as it sounds I am that desparate to try anything that I might just give it a go!! )

Hatty sorry to hear evil af arrived

GG you're right it has been ages since we chatted - I blame it on the amount of continent hopping you've been up to . When does DH have 'the' test? I can totally empathise with your needing to know what you're dealing with before your visit back to the Dr.

Abby nice to see you back although sorry to hear that af has arrived, and in such force. Think a trip to the Dr's is def in order - did the clots happen last time when you had a cp (it was you wasn't it?)

DG Glad to hear Digibean has been spotted and that the scan didn't show up any nasties!

Bucky how are you doing? I too am a very angry person at the mo (going back a few posts to your 'Finn dog + canal = muddy Bucky' moment), can't seem to stop being a stroppy moo. Am putting it down to af hormones plus worry re:house/job + anniversary of miscarriage this week. Have been partaking in a few 'Natracalm' tablets (all legal and bought in Tescos ) which seem to do the trick although your mantra is helping greatly too!

Hi and welcome to Fruitloop and FP - as all have said, tis a friendly bunch here and symptom spotting/discussing/invention is just the start of it!! Doesn't matter what part of your cycle you're in!

ENOUGH WAFFLE!!! Apologies, do seem to go on....

Bucky2008 · 21/01/2008 20:22

ahahahahahahahahaha ....SEED LOTION!!!! And there was me thinking that i needed to eat more fruit and veg....MOB that is too funny. And don't even get me started on the grandma chic that we all have to break out, mrsEi.

Well today WAS the most depressing day of my LIFE never mind the year....I had to spend my day trying to open derelict buildings with a massive bunch of keys (with like 75 unlabled keys on it) in the rain surrounded by dead pigeons in various states of decomposition and faeces, only to get inside and find more dead pigeons and rats etc. I am sure I have that pigeon lung disease you can get now and if not some other hideous disease. I was walking around with pair of marigolds on all day . I gave up in the end as it was defo a job for Environmental Health....still I was truly traumatised by the experience...YUK. [barf emotican].

Hatty TEW is a stupid rude cretin who turns up at everyones house uninvited and doesn't turn up on time when she is invited...so I would just ignore her and pretend she isn't there till she leaves. The old Witch. . Sorry she chose your house to come to, I've just managed to get rid of her after 7 days!!!!

Welcome to furtively. I think in reality very few people get symptoms before AF goes AWOL, however, we think it is very important to analyse every twinge for scientific, educational, humourous and mental health purposes on the 'symptoms' thread . Even before Ovulation! Welcome aboard.

Hi to Jollybear, PicknMix, 07MTW, Fairy and Mibbes.

Bucky x

MrsEi25 · 21/01/2008 20:14

hi MOB i put 'lily of the valley for fertility' into google and there was a few articles about it there my sis told me she saw it on QI the other day and when i looked it up it was the same advice so...it must be true then...
mibbes the articles said you can inhale it (aromatherapy-esque) use it as an oil/ body lotion type of thing i think i will have another search and see what other ways you can use it (i would drink it in my tea if it helped) then again i will be switchin to caffine free tea i think after the news today- did anyone see it?? caffine as a trigger for MC??

hatty sorry she got you
twinkling I agree that 3-4 days sounds bang on - I tend to be 2-3 days with several beforehand of spotting (am currently on 4th spotting day ) am not sure if that is maybe too short ?. I am also going to take vit B6 next cycle.
GG hope DH's tests give you the info you need to move forward with ttc - still have my fingers crossed (behind my back) for BFP this month for you !
MrsEi well done for giving us something new to try - what do I do with it once I have purchased a vat of the stuff ? PMSL at old lady comments
MOB I'll sit on top of you and hold you down if you dare reach for an HPT early !
welcome Furtively feel free to obsess/symptom spot any time - it turns out I was symtpom spotting pre-ov this cycle as ov'd so late
DG lovely to hear digibean growing well !
BB2B first day of full red flow is cd1, so probably Sat. I have signed up to fertility friend to track temps, it is easy to use. I have only just started but so far so good.. JollyBear and I signed up last week, so feel free to join us as FF newbies !
JB how is FF going ? has it decided a definite ov day for you ?

Well on the most miserable day of the year I did what any sane woman should and hit the shops - only Boots though ! However am now armed with a better thermometer (has 2 dec places as opposed to 1) and 2 packs of CB digi opks - NOTE Boots has a free CB preg test with every CB product purchased is anyone needs supplies . So am l ready for the next cycle, just need TEW to show up properly...

madoldbird · 21/01/2008 19:23

...and have found one for him!

here Has to rub it on his bits though!!

madoldbird · 21/01/2008 19:19

Just been trawling the net to find info on LOTV in relation to ttc, haven't found it yet, but did find this on my travels! I noticed that there are even specific "flower acupuncture points" for over 35's! Wow, maybe all i need is a roller ball!!! (Am now going to go back and see if there is one for DH...)

BabyBump2B · 21/01/2008 18:43

Hello Lovely Ladies!

Had tinterweb issues over the weekend so am only getting to catch up now!

The lily of the valley stuff had me cracking up - who knew the key was the smell of old ladies?

DG - don't worry you're going to learn lots of embarrassing things about me too, that said you've seen me do far more embarrassing things than I've seen you do so we may end up equal!

Well AF arrived on Friday. Actually I wanted to ask about this - I started getting a pinky discharge on Friday but full on AF didn't start till Saturday - do I count day one as Friday or Saturday (currently using Friday but don't want to be wrong.) V strange it was so early I'm incredibly regular. Has involved med size clots and loads of cramps - possible early mc?

On DG's advice I'm now going to start tracking temps - how is it best to record them? I feel like a need an excel chart w/charts or something!

xoxo

GryffinGirl · 21/01/2008 18:05

I've just remembered I had lots of LOTV in my bridal bouquest . Fat lot of use it was

ha ha ha ha ha ha hattyyellow. have just snorted coffee all over the place laughing

hattyyellow · 21/01/2008 18:00

Thanks for the pic GG!

Will leave the picture on screen next time DH walks past the computer...and see if he becomes strangely aroused by those little white flowers .....
