beaniesteve · 19/02/2008 11:55

so - I ovulated some time over the weekend according to my sticks so I am now waiting waiting waiting!

Wonder what the earliest signs I should look out for are? I know that you get breast pains etc.

Implantation bleed in a week or so perhaps?

scully · 19/02/2008 11:38

Hiya, just typed a message and broadband died, bugger.......
Having dd2 born on Xmas Day, I know all about missing Xmas dinner, was in labour from 5am until 10.15pm But if I was to fall pregnant next cycle, my due date would be around 5/12, so at least I wouldn't have 2 Xmas babies. Hard enough trying to separate b'day and Xmas with one I remember that ridiculous thread EI, it's not great having her b'day on that day but she wouldn't be her if we had waited to conceive later.....
Sorry Ash, also no idea about clomid, have seen it mentioned on other threads though.

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 19/02/2008 11:25

hi ash i would have thought that as your GP has said to take comid on day 2 and you are definitely sure that you have come on your period than you should start it on CD2 as your cycle will still follow from the first day of your period as usual iyswim good luck with your cycle and i hope you get your BFP soon

JollyBear · 19/02/2008 11:21

Hello ash I'm afraid I can't help. There is a clomid thread somewhere on here so there may be ladies there that have more experience.

Hope you get an answer soon.

Ash80 · 19/02/2008 11:14

hi all, i had posted this question earlier, but didn't get a response. Has anyone ever got an early AF while on clomid. The doc told me to take the second cycle of clomid on the 2nd day of AF. But am unsure as my period was 6 days early! Is it really a period. Its all very confusing.....

mibbes · 19/02/2008 11:08

Hi JB ! I will also be continuing to ttc (unless GP gives me reason not to). I'd love a baby any month, am not concerned when it arrives as long as it does arrive and is healthy and as FP says I'd get out of turkey-duty !

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 19/02/2008 10:59

it was lovely but i usually buy really wearable clothes for xmas day that i can wear over and over but i had big maternity clothes on and gave birth exactly 2 weeks later so what a waste esp considering they are too small for me to wear this time round if i dont lose some weight soon i cant wait til im preg...sorry just a bit excitable today for some reason

Crikey! I can't keep up!

Hello ei I'd love to be heavily pregnant at Christmas too or cradling my newborn... ahhh

JollyBear · 19/02/2008 10:45

Oops 2 cross posts there!

mibbes great news you've made an appointment. Step away from google though!!

FP Fingers crossed for your early egg! The 2ww is soooooooooo long isn't it. Keep us posted with symptoms!!

hi JB

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 19/02/2008 10:44

morning ladies
scully sian was born early january and i always said i didnt want to be heavily preg over xmas again but that would mean putting off trying until may/june so sod that!! i was due on 28th dec and it wasnt very nice eating scraps of dinner cos it wouldnt fit in but i wouldnt say no to another festive baby there was a huge debate on here while i was preg (do you remember it scully??) about the stupidity of people having xmas babies but i just think some people try for years without any luck and would give anything for a baby regardless of when it is born so xmas isnt so bad its just an issue of presents for most i am most definitely going to be heavily preg this xmas and i dont care

JollyBear · 19/02/2008 10:41

Hello,

hatty I hope that taking a more relaxed approach to ttc is successful Hope you still hang around here though.

ei Hope you caught the egg! It just goes to show that ov day differs so much from woman to woman.

mibbes Hope you are keeping positive and AF's visit is a short one.

coolkat Hope you tested too early. If your cycles are a bit erratic it is so hard to know when to test. Fingers crossed.

tapster Can they not change your medication for a while? Your GP sounds a bit scary!

lou Witter onto us about how much you want a baby as much as you like we all feel the same!!

Are lots of people going to stop ttc in April? If I was mega-fertile then I suppose I might try to avoid it, but as I'm obviously not there will be no stopping ttc in the Jollybear household (as long as the scan is OK of course!).

bucky Is finn ok?

Hello to everyone else especially GG!

FurtivelyPosting · 19/02/2008 10:36

Oops, cross posted with you Mibbes! I think you're right to see your GP and to go armed with your charts and spreadsheets - he/she won't be able to fob you off with the old timing your BDing according to the standard 28 day cycle nonsense they sometimes trot out. I'm glad that having an appointment booked is making you feel positive - please do let us know how you get on!

FurtivelyPosting · 19/02/2008 10:33

I agree, Ei - my fertile window was much earlier than expected this month with EWCM makking an appearance on CD8 and then ovulation on CD13. I haven't ovulated as early as that since before I was pregnant with DS (back in the days when my cycle used to run like clockwork - not any more!!!)

Cheers, mibbes although I'm not at all positive today. Have no symptoms at all right now. Have noticed that I seem to get them more in the evening now, which is making me think that it must all be in my head and I manage to conjure the symptoms up each evening becasue I've been thinking about them so much all throughout the day! . Another week to go before I know one way or the other and it really is dragging.

Lou - sounds like you have a strong genetic propensity towards February conception then! Fingers crossed for you and I hope your Grandma doesn't become too befuddled by all of the birthdays!

With regard to December babies, I really wouldn't mind having a baby close to Christmas. I think it would be really lovely and on a selfish note, I might well get out of cooking Christmas dinner that year! If I was lucky next cycle, my EDD would be early December rather than the Christmas end of the month, though. I'd be at that haggard, zombie like stage through lack of sleep by the time Christmas arrives. How lovely for everyone!

mibbes · 19/02/2008 10:28

Tapster so sorry for BFN, what dpo are you ?
lou glad you are feeling better and you had better get bding just in case the egg is making an early appearance

Well no surprise here the spotting continues. Last night I read a lot about what the spotting could indicate and then had a big blub to dp about it - he has slapped my wrists for googling too much and told me to go and see the Doctor - so have just made appt for next Tue. I already feel more positive just by making the appt ! Will be going armed with last 2 cycles charts and my spreadsheet of cycle length and spotting ! (I have entered all the info I've been scribbling in diary for the past year in to a spreadhseet !!) The Doctor will hopefully be very afraid of obsessive nature and immediately investigate the problem . I want Doc to know am serious and will not be fobbed off

lou2311 · 19/02/2008 10:03

Morning all - cant believe how foggy it is, keep hearing the ships foghorns going in the estuary! I'm far too jumpy!
Feeling ok today - saw my counsellor yesterday and she is so lovely, I wittered on about wanting a baby the whole time and she said lovely constructive things.
Haven't seen her for 3 months as I thought I was doing so well without counselling. Turns out I am not!

Still, I have been reading some of the positive thoughts, and you lot have cheered me up! I am very grateful for you lot on MN!

I read about the christmas dates, and they made me chuckle, as i would be christmas eve if next month. This month would be funniest tho, as my family all seem to be november babies. I would be 19th this cycle, which is slap bang in the middle of the list! (I'm 23rd Nov!) My Grandma would have a fit as she keeps telling me how hard it is to remember 'all these november birthdays' LOL

On the plus side - looks like Feb is a VERY fertile month for my family!

Ei - my clearblue monitor was showing high fertility already at day 9! Maybe it was early ovulation for you, and my cycle is joining in sympathy! LOL
Sorry for MEGA long post!
xxxxx

Tapster · 19/02/2008 08:49

Morning all BFN again today. I would like either AF or BFP to arrive soon although realised looking at pregnancy calender I won't be missing March out but April to avoid Xmas baby!

Sorry for those whose AFs arrived and fellow BFNs. I wish I could stop testing. I'm on medication which needs to change immediately when I find out I'm pregnant. GP literally shouted at me that otherwise I was risking abnormalities. Still have millions of symptoms.

Back to my tea.

scully · 19/02/2008 03:20

just enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and 3 oreo biscuits
would have shared the biccies but they disappeared rather quickly
ei, seeing as you also have a Dec baby, are you going to try again next month, or not because of the due date?

mibbes · 18/02/2008 22:00

Evening Ladies !

coolkat sorry for BFN
FP symptoms sound very promising

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 19:33

its not a wasted test it is just information for you to take on board IMO if it is a BFN then you can either prepare yourself emotionally for AF or you can keep an eye out for further symptoms and retest after a few more days to see what is going on dont feel silly we have all been there and we all understand the disappointment and the temptation to serial test it really is a compultion for us and it takes all the will power you have to avoid the tests and most of us (me included) cave in and test way too early or even when you know there is no chance like after AF has visited (me included there too) dont beat yourself up about it and get that optimistic head back on as its not over yet not by a long stretch (sorry about your MC too CK iv been there too but about 5 years ago now xx)

coolkat · 18/02/2008 19:26

Came of Pill In August, Pregnant in November and then Miscarried in December so you see not had many normal months at it to record the information. You might be right, what happens if she is not due and I wasted all those tests. God I feel stupid now

Time will tell, thank you for being patient with me! x

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 19:20

CK what cycle are you on?? it is a pain when you start to TTC and suddenly realise that things arent quite as clockwork as you previously though i always assumed my cycles were 28 days and then i started to count the days and it turns out they are anything from 28-35 days long and have changed from V. long and heavy to 2-3 days of light flow and spotting have you kept a record of your cycles?? they might be 35 days or you might be one of the girls who get a BFP after being late for a few days FWIW my mum only got a BFP with my brother when she was 2 weeks overdue after the doctors told her she wasnt preg and lo and behold my brother was discovered at a scan to see where her AF had dissappeared to she was 6+3 at the scan according to the size and LMP date so it is possible keep your chin up and i hope AF sods off for a year or so for you
xx ei xx

coolkat · 18/02/2008 19:08

It was 30 days on Friday. Problem is don't know how long cycle should be, I have just been assuming that I am young and Healthy and should be around 28 - 30 days, made sure I BD lots in the middle. Thought I was quite laid back but it turns out I am not.Time will tell. Not had time to read what everyone is up to will do that now.

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 19:01
