Thanks for the support everyone - you are all officially brilliant
mibbles furtively - typing this out makes DH sound so unreasonable. He is not, most of the time and discusses things, but he is adament that because he can put off going to the hospital, he will wait until it suits him to go. If he hasn't changed his mind by now, he won't . Normally, I could work on him and talk him round, but that takes a nice relaxed time and place (a beer too ). All unlikely, as he is so busy that any attempt to bring it up will be shoe-horned into the conversation when he is short of time and therefore will automatically be classed as "nagging" and he will refuse to discuss it any more.
I think I am so partly because we are in limbo until he does this, but mainly it's been more than a bl**dy YEAR of trying and he is putting work first (again). It's a pattern I don't like, and esp. if we need further medical help or investigations for TTC. What will happen if things really do start to get stressful? DH is very logical (a much better looking Mr Spok?? ) and weighed up in his mind what was more important to him and decided on work . That is what is so difficult, because after laying out all my carefully marshalled arguments as to why he should go TODAY (hell, I'm a lawyer I can be persuasive ) and finally asked "what is more important to you??!!" he looked surprised I need to ask, and said "at the moment, work. I'll go in a month"
Thanks for the hugs pistachio - I am absolutely thrilled for you and missus! Is there a due in October thread yet? You have a little pistachio "nut" instead of a bean!
