God EI if you get a BFP this week after back pain it will kill me waiting another week - 10 days to test.

Wierd though!!

MrsEi25 · 06/02/2008 19:52

CK i am due on the 9th/10th so this sat/sun but thats going by my usual 30 day cycle and last month was a 35 day-er so i dont know really i will be testin on fri/sat/sun though so hopefully... i never get back pain as an af symptom and i have had it for just over a week now but it has felt better the past few days- apart from monday its in my right hip at the back!! i had what i thought was Ov pains on my right this month i think so...i dont know but otherwise no other symptoms that have lasted more than a day maybe you just want to join the exclusive and most prestigious back pain club...members recruited in feb: 2 (ei & bucky) there is always room for more hope it is a symptom for you though

Nice to see you too Bucky. In my self imposed exile I really did miss you all! And don't worry re the drinks - TTC is a marathon not a sprint, and you can't be virtuous all the time.

Mibbes - I get a temp dip pretty often the day before ov. I am also sure I read that sometimes women bleed a tiny bit at ovulation, so I bet that's all it is. You should still BD, as the egg takes ages to get down the fallopian tubes and I bet the swimers could be there in a matter of minutes!

The ice cube trays made me laugh GG, although I can't pretend it hasn't crossed my mind in the odd irrational moment. I was thinking of finding a clinic and getting DH to make a deposit there that I could collect on the right day... but what if they gave them to someone else by mistake?!? I would always be wondering.

Willmouse - I agree re CB digital. A few years ago I actually had a false positive on a First Response test (although the second line vanished within 10 minutes) and I much prefer the certainty of having things in words - saves me holding the test up to the light, squinting at it and imagining second lines!!

coolkat · 06/02/2008 19:33

Ei when is AF due? My 1st day of last period was Jan 17th but to be honest I do not know how long cycles are so I am still learning all the technical stuff - hoping to get BFP by using the very scientific and calculated way - BD all the time!!Thats why I am knackered !!

Willmouse about my earlier question are you you know constipated - I swear its a symptom!!

Well still got uncomfortable pain and is to early to be anything BFP related. Rahhh

evening girls
CK i am slightly inclined to use my bad back as a symptom as i have had so few this month (which i am also using as a symptom) mine is really low on my right side so who knows
mibbes i havent tested yet i have been out househunting with my sister today as she is moving nearer to us so i havent had a chance...not that i was tempted or anythinhonest
how is everyone else??
willmouse i would defo do a test over the next few days (when i was late i did them daily) and i agree a CBD is the best bet
hope you get a BFP
JB how are you holding up?? is AF still AWOL then??

Hello mibbes I wouldn't worry - I had some blood streaked EWCM this month too, albeit earlish... well CD 32ish on my lengthy cycle! It can happen when you ov so jump on your DH as soon as he steps in the door

I think that as you say, you've never paid as much attention before! I certainly haven't!!

mibbes · 06/02/2008 16:21

Thanks ladies but definitely not imp as have not ov'd yet this month - I think this is ov as had a temp dip this morning...
willmouse CB digital prob youe best bet

MrsPuddleduck · 06/02/2008 16:10

No news here

CD37 and still no sign of AF

I am slowly going nuts - which probably isn't helping.

I am wondering;

  1. When to test again
  2. Which test to use (am thinking of firstresponse or a digital one next time)
  3. Whether I have in fact started the menopause at 33 (watching too much Eastenders)
  4. Whether I should go to see the Doctor if nothing changes in a few days.
coolkat · 06/02/2008 16:06

Could be implantation mibbles - Eek. Never TMI on here I might add.

Bucky and Griffin enjoy everything in moderation only give up when you get your BFP. My doctor laughed a me when I said I had had a drink and eaten stilton prior to finding out!

Scary most impressed at your DH driving home I am pleased to be back

Willmouse where are you any news yet?

Mmm now I have seen a few people with bad backs on here and I need to know if there is something in the Symptom spotters gin because today as stupid as it sounds I have had an uncomfortable pain on my low right side. I can not decide if it is muscular or whether something could be going on inside. Wierd or what? Never had a bad back before really.

Isobella123 · 06/02/2008 15:26

Could it be an implantation bleed? I think that is more likely.

mibbes · 06/02/2008 15:20

TMI alert ! OMG just had a teeny weeny dot of blood when wiped, I have heard of this at ov time but have never experienced it before - is it good/bad ? I only spotted it because was doing very detailed analysis of CM quality on TP... I am amazed that I have had periods for almost 20 years and have never noticed any of these things that go on !
Am now really worried have missed the egg - boooooo Will have to use womanly powers when I get home to get a bd !

JollyBear · 06/02/2008 12:09

Morning all,

mibbes That does seem like a dip. I'd just BD as soon as you get home from work and try not to fret. Even if your temp rises tomorrow, do keep bd'ing until you get three days of high temps.

MTW great news!

wilmouse Sorry to hear about your BFN.

GG I think red wine on CD 4 is perfectly acceptable! My scan is at the end of Feb so I might still might be able to TTC next cycle depending on when (if??!! ) AF arrives.

I don't know how long my lutal phase is mibbes. I wish I did!!

Hello to everyone else!

mibbes · 06/02/2008 11:34

Morning Ladies,

MrsEi are you still resisting the urge to test ? I was very proud of you yesterday .
JollyBear when do you plan to retest ? Are temps still roasty toasty ?
MTW all still going well then, sounds like a sticker ! Fingers crossed
Anyone else planning to test ? (wasn't around much yesterday so have fallen behind a bit)
Bucky don't beat your self up about a few gins - I had a few wines last night as was out with friends. Hope sod's law means BFP this time !

Well I have a temping query. This morning I had lowest temp ever 35.94 - my temps this cycle so far have been between 36.22-36.49 so this is a significant dip. I have read that a dip can occur just before the rise so if this is the case then surely ov is imminent. I just googled it and apparently as soon as you see dip you should bd... but no time for any action this morning . Obviously I'll try my best tonight but am concerned may have missed the boat (again grrr...). Anyone have any experience of this ? Oh and also I have not had any +ve opk yet, although am aware these don't work for everyone so maybe best not to rely too heavily on them..? Had some more stretchy cloudy CM last night and this morning.

GG enjoy the break at work and google about my dip in temp if you like ! I am way busy today - I hate it when work gets in the way of MN chat !

07mumstheword · 06/02/2008 11:24

Hi scary How wonderful of your DH to travel back - that is dedication

Ei LOL at Roy Orbison

Bucky Naughty naughty I really hope sods law works for you and you get a BFP.

GG Glad to hear you are taking positive action and all the time spent at work doing your research is ideal

Hello to everyone else.

I did another HPT this morning (still only CD24 but 14 dpo) and it's still positive. Hopefully this is a sticky one.

GryffinGirl · 06/02/2008 10:14

Bucky - I like the phrase "fate is unaffected by caution", which I though was quite profound and sort of summed up my attitude at the moment . I succumbed to the lure of red wine last night , but it was CD4, so I thought I could chance it. That means no sypmtom spotting for weeks, but I'll hang around here with you ladies if I may

PMSL at Roy Orbison , MrsEi.

I am very impressed at your DH's dedication to the cause scary. I once read a thread on here about someone asking (I think seriously) if they could freeze their husband's swimmers in ice cube trays in the freezer amongst the frozen peas, because her DH was working away during the key dates . The answer was swift and definite "NO!" from all the wise scientific ladies on here.

hello to everyone else mibbes coolkat and hatty, wherever you are!

I am sooooo bored at work at the moment. It's gone all quiet (normally I work on project specific stuff and it's all ground to a halt) so I have spent a lot of time on MN learning all sorts of useful things

jollybear when is your scan. Fingers crossed everything looks fine for you

Bucky2008 · 06/02/2008 09:33

Scaryhairy . Glad to see you back we missed you my ex-cycle buddy. Hope you are feeling bright as a button today .

Belated welcome to Willmouse and pinky

Confession time for me...I've been at the gin again . I just have weird state of mind at the moment. I kind of subconsciously convince myself that there will be no BFP each month (I guess so that when AF turns up I am not too disappointed). Then once I decide its not going to happen I just get up to naughtiness. I only had 3 G&Ts but still, not exactly making a welcoming environment for a bean. What was that GG 'caution never affected fate?' Well let's hope this is the gospel according to whoever gives out babies!

How is everyone doing today anyway? PicknMix and Hatty where are you?????

mibbes · 05/02/2008 23:13

JB HCB thanks for FF info. Sorry you got BFN but probably too early to test - do you know how long Luteal phase usually is ?
GG good for you taking positive action
another -ve opk and no more EWCM for em today so the wait continues....

ScaryHairy · 05/02/2008 20:48

LOL at Roy Orbison!

(I shall tell DH that should be our song. It's just unfortunate that he's doing the driving, otherwise we could have the Cyndi Lauper version. Ooops, showing my age there!)

MrsEi25 · 05/02/2008 20:26

hi scary how lovely of your DH to drive all the way home to fertilise you i had a strange moment where roy orbison was playing in my head when i read that
not much happenin here unfortunately...no symptoms are good symptoms though...

Wow - I've been reading and trying to catch up for the last half hour and have even ended up writing notes, so here goes - a mega-post...

Scully - I hope your DD is feeling better. Mine split her lip a couple of weeks ago while I was out and I came home to find her sitting on DH's knee wearing a blood soaked towel. I thought she must have knocked her teeth out from all the blood. They know how to shock us, hey?

Picknmix did I read that you are moving soon? Am impressed by fitting 3 BD into 2 days and packing up a house - very efficient!

GG I am sorry to read that you've been having a hard time. I think TF summed it up best. Men do get frightened of change, and can be poo. In fairness to your DH it does sound as though he is working very hard and men do grow up thinking "me man. me provide" and that going to work all day is all that is required of them. It takes quite a lot to deprogram them IME! When you do manage to speak to him, would you consider suggesting that you both go to a clinic, such as Zita West? I've been reading her website and while there would be a test of the diddy men, they take a holistic approach and look at diet and all sorts. It also says most problems can be fixed without IVF, and maybe it would help your DH to be told that (i.e. if the problem is his swimmers, it may be treatable).

TF I hope the black eye is going down.

I have my fingers crossed for JB

Hi to Pinky, Willmouse and Disenchanted who I had not met before.

Mibbes re the charting, I would put sticky and add a note in that space at the bottom of the data entry form.

Glad you're back and feeling better CK

So sorry to anyone I have missed... my pen ran out and there are a bunch of undecipherable scratches on my page!

I think I ovulated in the night last night, although my temp is still low. DH is still away a lot and last night drove for a couple of hours to come home and make a deposit. Unfortunately he can't come back today to seal the deal (I still have some EWCM), but it was a good effort all around.

pinky36 · 05/02/2008 17:03

willmouse, i wud like 2, but depends on DH! He doesn't even know that i might have been! CB digitals r supposed gud, but first response gives u an earlier result!
Is this your first pregnancy, soz carn't remember spoke 2 so many MNetters!

Hi Ladies,

It sure has been busy on here. Sounds horrible to have a bad back Bucky and Mrs EI.

Sorry about BFN willmouse. Although its not over until AF rears her ugly head. One question erm are you .. Constipated just that seems to be a sign for a lot of people and was for me.

Will pop in later after swimming.

GryffinGirl · 05/02/2008 15:32
