hi TF i know that antibiotics dont affect your cycle etc but the UTI would have put your body under a little bit of strain with the extra fighting your immune system has to do so it is possible for you body to delay your OV to a bit later so dont be too surprised when/if AF turns up she is a bit late...that said UTIs also make your urine really full of crap like blood and white blood cells, protien etc this could make it extra hard for the hormones to be detected in your wee when you pee on the OPK stick iyswim so you may have Oved but it just didnt show up on the OPK. if you dont normally have UTIs and you do usually get a +ve opk then this could be the cause as this isnt a 'normal' month for you dont worry too much as you may have Oved early like a few ladies did and caught the egg so you wouldnt get a +ve opk anyway would you?? hope i didnt baffle you with my rambling

oh and hope all goes well tomorrow DG. Please let us know how you get on.

Bucky2008 · 07/02/2008 21:04

Hey Girls

Welcome back dg . Glad things are looking more positive .

GG . How cool is that??? I never saw that coming! Why do men have to torture us like that? They know we are right all the time, why don't they just do as they are told when they are told hee hee

07MTW I will be 11dpo on Saturday. My LP is 11 days so AF due on Sunday! 9dpo today

Nothing new to report here really. No symptoms that I am aware of. In fact I am starting to get the feeling that I will be out again this month . Anyway, as we are having a happy thread today, won't dwell.
Hope everyone is having a good night.

twinklingfairy · 07/02/2008 20:56

Pops head back in to say, good luck DG I really really hope that all is ok for you tommorrow.

My DD was fine on a flight to portugal BTW, not a peep. She slept on the way out and got passed between DH, MIL and I on the way back. She was about 11mo. Perhaps 12hrs might have pushed her but 3 or so was fine.

Anyway, I was mid flounce!!

twinklingfairy · 07/02/2008 20:52

Oh isn't that great news about your DH GG 2-3 weeks seems like an age, but it will pass so quickly.

Frustrated fairy here. FF has not put me down for OV yet?? I am on CD21 FGS! Ok so I do not have a +opk( I ran out) or had any EWCM (I blame the UTI drugs. mrsei? could I be right?) but my temps have risen! and I have ov on CD 17 ofr 4 months in a row!
Do you think the UTI could have stopped ov?
Been having cramps on and off, boobs still twitchy now and again, but not sore, as such.
harumph
Can't do anything about it all anyway cos DH is away on a course for a week. But I think we BD at the right time, so will just have to wait and see.

ScaryHairy · 07/02/2008 18:12

Hello

GG how nice of your husband to (ahem) take things in hand. (groan, sorry )

DG nice to see you, and good luck for the scan. I am glad to hear you had a good time.

MTW sending sticky vibes from here too.

MrsEi25 · 07/02/2008 16:55

Hello everyone it's lovely to see such an upbeat thread and thank you all for your support.

GG Your DH certainly knows how to surprise you. I'm so pleased he's done that. When do you get the results?

DG Been thinking of you a lot and really really hope your scan tomorrow puts your mind at rest so you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy. You will let us know how you get on won't you?

hattyyellow · 07/02/2008 14:39

Aw, what a happy thread today

GG am sooo thrilled that your DH went to do the sample (and rather amused at what the NHS provides these days - I bet the male staff are keener to volunteer for the p*rn mag run than the coffee run in the morning!)

DG glad you had a lovely holiday

MTW I thought the success rate for pregnancy was much higher than 50%? Sending sticky vibes to you..

Good luck all testing and sending healing vibes to the bad backs...

Am sad at my lack of enthusiasm for symptom spotting this month...I remember when we began this thread back in the summer I spent so many happy hours obsessing and now every boob twinge I have I think "nah, probably not a symptom really"...

Ah well, only a week or so to go until I can test!

mibbes · 07/02/2008 14:20

Hi DG, great to 'see' you, posted for you in waiting room.
JB DP knows I'm temping - after 45 day cycle and a few BFNs last cycle he knows I just want to undertsnad what is going on and when - he doesn't seem atall perturbed by it. He is unaware of MN activity (although he must know as it is always in the internet recently visited sites) and CM analysis etc... TBH I think he'd rather not know and just continue as normal, his attitude is that if it happens, it happens - I think he is far more nervous about it therefore I don't push the issue as don't want him to chicken out ! I know he'll be over the moon if it does happen, I think he refuses to admit he actually wants it in case it is not that easy (our BFs have been told they can never have LOs after years of trying) Does that make any sense ? at rambling on

digitalgirl · 07/02/2008 14:12

hi gg, did my best! Not much else to do there but lie on a sunbed or paddle in the water. Started getting nausea towards the second half of the holiday which meant no day trips (windy roads and boat trips were a no no). I'm hoping that's a good sign, but I know symptoms can be a bit unreliable in these circumstances. Lack of full on Internet access meant no googling which was probably a good thing.

We decided to blow our unspent spending money on an upgrade for the flight back, money well spent! Don't think I could have handled 12 hours cramped in economy with extreme travel sickness. With any luck we won't be going on any long haul flights for a couple of years...hearing all those poor babies crying on the plane made me decide against subjecting my lo to a 12 hr plus flight.

GryffinGirl · 07/02/2008 13:25

Digital - how are you? We've been thinking of you. Did you manage to relax on holiday

digitalgirl · 07/02/2008 13:10

WOW! Huge congrats to MTW!! So pleased for you...wishing you all the very best and many sticky vibes.

If you could blow them back my way when you're done with them I'd be very grateful. Got my scan tomorrow, where we'll find out if this pg is still viable. Trying my best not to stress but tummy keeps doing flips everytime I think about it.

gg glad dh went for the test in the end. And pleased that you're not so down anymore, I think you've been absolutely remarkable these past few months - a model of patience and positivity.

Good luck to all those weekend testers!

JollyBear · 07/02/2008 12:33

GG Instructions??!! What an amusing idea I'm sure whoever had the job to design those laughed his way through his working day!

mibbes Is is difficult not to show obsession!! Maybe you could seduce him first thing tomorrow morning it is the weekend after all. Are you temping in secret then?

mibbes · 07/02/2008 11:35

GG ha ha PMSL at instructions !!! as if any man doesn't know ! IKWYM about men and the nagging thing - I know if dp suspects I'm obsessing and keep suggesting we bd he'll click that am on a mission and will treat it as a 'nag to get PG ASAP' which is why I can't bd every day I have EWCM - mores the pity. Have to just act 'normal' and see what happens boooo

GryffinGirl · 07/02/2008 11:11

p.s. I think DH knew I would tell you all on MN , so he said that if any DH/DP's ever have to give samples, they are not to be scared. It was very easy, the NHS suplies hard core p*rn vids, soft mags and pretty nurses and there are posters to show you how to ...er...produce a sample yourself (should any man alive needing a lesson in that )

GryffinGirl · 07/02/2008 11:05

Jolly mibbes - I am really delighted . No more Grumpy Gryffin . I think DH was being a typical man about it - stubborn, don't nag me, I will do it - which really upset me. Maybe he had a change of heart when he saw how upset I was or realised he was being unreasonable, but didn't want to look soft or lose his pride by giving in to his DW. Actions speak louder than words and he went to the hospital today, so that is good enough for me.

He gets his results in two to three weeks, which seemed like a long time. I will be on tenterhooks!

JollyBear · 07/02/2008 10:43

Morning all,

GG I'm so pleased your DH has been for his test!! You must be so happy today

mibbes great news on opk! Remember you still need to BD for a few more days to make sure

willmouse How frustrating for you. Hope AF stays away and you get a BFP.

FF has put my ov day back 2 days so now I'm only on 12DPO.... so more waiting for me. I had really sore boobs yesterday so I presume AF is gearing up to start. I'm still going to be really disappointed when it arrives though after this epic cycle. Oh well, it isn't over yet. I do like to hold out some hope till the old witch arrives in force!

Hello to everyone else!

mibbes · 07/02/2008 10:39

woohoo GG am so pleased for you ! That is excellent progress with DH . Great to 'see' you so happy again !

MrsPuddleduck · 07/02/2008 10:18

I am going to do another test if AF doesn't arrive soon.

I am on CD38 now - I am thinking of waiting until Saturday which would be CD40.

GryffinGirl · 07/02/2008 10:14

mibbes - maybe try and seduce your DH anyway

willmouse - you poor thing. It must be the not knowing. Are you oging to do another test?

MrsPuddleduck · 07/02/2008 10:14

I used the first wee of the day for my test on CD33 (Tesco cheapie) and did one half way through the afternoon on CD36 (Predictor).

I am wishing I had bought a better test last time.
