Yay for digibean and dg. Ha but I knew it was all ok, you ask GG...I am psychic . That is really great though and very exciting.

MrsEi You should have done that trick to you doctor....the one where you say in a surprised voice "ooh doctor I forgot I have something to give you", then you reach into your handbag and pull out your hand and give him the finger....LOL hahaha stupid ignoranus doctor. Hope he gets a UTI and has to have a big stick shoved up his dick. Ooh I am feeling very feisty tonight and quite spiteful...well, to mean doctors anyway. Hee hee. . Do you have a surgery where you can go and see a different doctor? I do and there is one totally gorgeous doctor (very George Clooney) Dr Brownfield...that all the ladeez frequent. Ahhh, just looking at him makes you need a lesson on how to examine your breasts .

I didn't buy any decent tests today. I will have to get one tomorrow cos my ebay cheapies are rubbish peices of paper. . I hate to say this but I am not hopeful for this month though. I have had indigestion for two days now but that could be something to with the terrible diet I have been consuming. I really should go back to the reflexologist because it made me be abit good at least recording my food.

Where is everyone?? Hatty? PicknMix? GG? Fairy?

Swaliswan · 08/02/2008 21:48

DD is 8.5mo so I know that it isn't going to be a long gap between DC's if I were to conceive straight away but that is how we would like it. I was told that we would probably have to have some help to conceive but to go away and try for 12 months first. Then DD was conceived on the first cycle and we weren't even 'trying' Our GP blames it on DH being about to go away to Iraq at the time. Apparently something to do with the impending separation does something to a bloke's hormones. I don't suppose it had anything to do with all that BDing you do when you know that you aren't going to get any for six months

MrsEi25 · 08/02/2008 21:40

hi and welcome swaliswan how exciting you are already TTC (sort of) after recently having your DD how old is she?? i have a DD who is 2.1yo we are a frindly bunch on here and we say that no symptoms is a symptom so its sort of free game on here!! grab a cuppa, put your feet up and join in for a chat

Hello Ladies. I've been lurking for a while and wondered if I could join you? We were going to actively ttc but DH is being threatened with redundancy so we are just not doing anything to prevent me getting pg. Mind you, that's how I got pg last time I guess you could say that according to DH we are not ttc

Anyway, I'm on cycle 1 (after 1st AF since having DD) and currently CD26. I think that I'm about 15dpo but BFing DD can do interesting things to CM and has left me guessing a bit. I was absolutely convinced that I was pg a few days ago but now I think that I'm so tired that the symptoms I have are almost entirely due to extreme exhaustion and the imminent onset of AF. Am fed up of waiting for AF to come though as I've had cramps for a week already

MrsEi25 · 08/02/2008 21:28

thanx scary im not too sure when the usual doc is back TBH but i am thinking of putting in a complaint to the practice manager if it happens again!! (DHs idea BTW)
how are you getting on??

It has been quiet, but thank God you turned up Ei. I was starting to think I had killed the thread (and surely that's impossible with this thread )
Sorry to hear that the doctor was crap. I'd just go back when the regular one is back if I were you and drink lots of cranberry juice in the meantime. Hope you get it all sorted soon.

MrsEi25 · 08/02/2008 21:17

mibbes the doc basically said that the abnormal results on my blood tests (looking for inflammatory markers) were not anything that would need investigating even though the results that were abnormal were the ones my regular doctor was looking for iyswim he then rolled his eyes when i asked him to check my urine just in case i have still got a UTI as i still feel a bit odd 'down there' and he said no!! he refused to check it and said he would just send it off so i will have to wait for a week for the results even though if he had dipsticked it i would know now!! stupid locum doctors dont care at all!! ah well at least my previously abnormal results have come back as normal now so one problem down only about another 3 to go (im not a hypochondriac...honest)
how is everyone else?? we have been quite quiet today havent we??

Great news about the bean DG. Im so pleased for you.
Lou in your post ovulation phase your temps should stay high until AF or, if you are pregnant will simply stay high. 18 consecutive days of high temps is generally a sign of pregnancy. Re the cramps, they can be a sign of pregnancy- I had terrible ones when I was pg with my daughter and was convinced AF was coming. How wrong I was... they started from about 10dpo and continued until after I got my BFP, at which point I stopped noticing them.

Scully I am about to become one of those parents. I can't bear flying Easyjet or charter with DD so Europe may well be out for our hols and I think we are likely to go to Mauritius (yay!). Any tips on long haul with a nearly 2 year old are very welcome.
Good luck to all of the testers for this weekend.

FF has agreed that I ovulated on Tues, which is very good news as we BD on Monday night... those swimmers should have been in just the right place, I hope...

digitalgirl · 08/02/2008 17:05

lou just wanted to say your symptoms sound really promising. a second rise in temp is good, and the cramping could be implantation. I had terrible AF-like cramps for about three nights in a row before I tested (at the time thought I was 10dpo, turns out I was 12).

scully next scan is in the hands of my hospital (different to where I had today's scan). still waiting for the letter to come through with my booking in appointment, but hoping it will be around 12 weeks.
Can't believe you managed to do so much travelling with your DD! Very admirable, I'm wondering if I'll cope with a day-trip to Brighton to see the in-laws!

JB I reckon a test should be accurate by 15dpo. They just expect you to hold out to save on wasting a test (I know I always preferred to get AF rather than a BFN...but wasn't always so easy to hold out with long cycles).

So good luck to you and MrsEi and Bucky (you ok today hon?)

lou2311 · 08/02/2008 14:41

thanks everyone, it is hard isnt it! I am 12 DPO so was going to wait till monday, but even then think that might be too early!
will talk to DH, although he would say wait, and 'try not to think about it' LOL

JollyBear · 08/02/2008 13:28

That's interesting mibbes - I didn't know vivid dreams were more common in the LP. I wonder why?!

I can't wait that long - I'd go mad! I'll test on Sunday if there is no sign of AF by then.

Good luck to all other testers!

mibbes · 08/02/2008 13:21

JB I'm sure there are loads of differing theories about sore boobs and what they mean according to when the occur. IMO this is different for every woman - so probably tells you very little ! I think 16 day LP is longer than average but yes it is possible. I don't suppose you'll be waiting the full 18 days FF suggests ? A lady would need will power of steel to wait that long ! Vivid dreams have defintely been mentioned on here before as a symptom ! I have read that they are more common during the Luteal phase but not neccessarily a sign of anything, you never know though !
MrsEi rubbish about doc - did he really not help atall ? No advice about what to do/when to come back ? What a load of old crap
Ha ha coolkat I know what you mean - there are a whole host of things I share with you ladies that I'd never discuss in RL !!
scully what a wee travller your DD is !
Bucky how are you today ?
Look forward to hearing test results over the weekend - I love it when we have lots of testers - GODD LUCK !

JollyBear · 08/02/2008 13:04

DG I'm soooo relieved for you! What wonderful news.

lou I think that as MTW says cramps very from woman to women, fingers crossed for you though. When to test is always a problem as one the one hand, we want to know but on the other, we don't want a BFN. Sorry I can't offer any good advice!

MrsEi How rubbish of your dr! Hope you get to see your regular one soon.

mibbes My temps are still high but FF reckons the LP can be as long as 16 days! I've also had really sore boobs but I did read somewhere on here that sore boobs tend to indicate AF is coming rather than pregnancy before you are properly 'late'. I hope that's not true!

Are nightmares a symptom?! I've had them for two nights in a row! Last night I dreamt DH and I were walking in our neighbourhood when a massive plane flew over and starting dropping bombs .

coolkat · 08/02/2008 12:57

DG Yeah so pleased scan went well, really pleased for you.

Nothing to report here feeling miserable yet the sun is shining so may walk to get DD and enjoy the weather.

Ei sorry your doctors did not go to well. Hopefully you can go next week and shove your BFP stick up his nose

Mibbles, later we are going to be chanting 'we know what your doing'!!! Bless us on no other website or in conversation would we dare talk about our bedroom antics!

Hi to everyone else, I hope your ok. X

mibbes · 08/02/2008 12:31

wooohooooooo DG fabulous news - so happy for you . It is awful that you had to go through that but indeed it is more useful info for the "experience archives" of this thread !
lou rising temps definitely a good sign - how many dpo are you ? Cramps can also be a good sign of PG
JollyBear do you still have high temps ?... it does sound promising as LP is usually 12-14 days...ooohhhh am getting excited for my HCB.
Another +ve opk for me today - so joining MrsEi and Bucky with looong LH surge ! Will have to sneak a bd tonight as still hope for me.... I think last night would've been the optimum night but 2 nights in a row makes obsessing too obvious, plus we were both knackered Oh well fingers crossed I manage to leave the pub early enough to sneak in a bd tonight - will only be having a couple, honest !

MrsEi25 · 08/02/2008 12:28

hi ladies
well i had my docs appointment and it was some stupid locum and he just sat and looked at me like i was wasting his time i didnt even know my usual GP was off otherwise i would have put it off til he was back to go and see him!! ah well enough about me...
DG that is FANTASTIC news
scully hi you are up mighty late arent you?? how are you??
lou i dont know much about temping but as far as i have read temps are supposed to dip when AF is immenent and they go up when there is something there iyswim ther are a few of us testing at the weekend myself included so maybe test then with us as a bit of moral support ggod luck
JB how are you?? sounds like your cycle is being a PITA esp with FF changing your Ov dates etc
how is everyone else??

Hiya everyone
Lou, also no idea about temps, but fingers crossed for you. Can you hold out the weekend before testing?
Great news about your scan DG, you must feel relieved. When is your next scan?
I was also one of those mad parents no-one wants to sit next to on planes, with dd1 especially. She had been to Ireland, Sweden, France, Italy, Switzerland, Australia, NZ, Sth Africa, Malaysia, Thailand, that I can remember, by the time she was 4.5
Pity she won't remember any of it
Good luck to the testers

lou2311 · 08/02/2008 11:47

thanks MTW, i have a clearblue in my bedside drawer but last time i was pregnant i didnt get a BFP till 39 days, having tested at 32 and 36! it's so hard - just not sure if it will make me feel worse if it is a BFN??? AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH! im so confused! I just wanted to be one of those people that 'fall' pregnant without thinking about it!
Also, and really weirdly im feeling scared if I am in case it goes wrong again. this is driving me nuts. It's so silly as all i want is to have a healthy baby.
sorry - rant over xx

07mumstheword · 08/02/2008 11:39

Hi Lou I'm definately no expert on temps but I thought if they went up and continued to do so it was a positive sign. It seems that cramps differ from woman to woman some get bad ones and a BFP and some get none. I'm not really being any help but at CD32 do you think it would be worth getting a sensitve 4 days early test? Your symptoms do sound positive. All the very best of luck.

lou2311 · 08/02/2008 11:33

having read most of the last few days to catch up - been staying off MN as was getting upset again, am needing some words of wisdom.
Am on CD 32, waiting is killing me. My temp is high, in fact went up further a few days ago. I was convinced i was getting AF last night as felt very heavy and crampy.but.. nothing feel really tired, and a bit tearful. Also think my friend coming over who is 7 months pregnant didnt help my emotiional stability!
Am going to wait till Monday to test as this is about average for my cycle.

So, anyway to get to the point and stop wittering, is it a good or bad sign to be sooooo crampy? it doesnt feel like my normal AF pains but my back is killing me too! any advice?
good luck to testing buddies over the next few days!

07mumstheword · 08/02/2008 11:14

DG That is absolutely fantastic news

Bucky & ei Fingers are still tightly crossed for you this weekend.

digitalgirl · 08/02/2008 11:00

hi ladies! Scan went well, the baby's still there and has got a heartbeat. Measures 7+3.

I can't tell you how relieved I am, it was like getting a BFP all over again!

Was told to stop worrying about the bleeding because for now the baby is fine. And miraculously it seems to have stopped today.

That was 17 days of spotting, quite a few little bits and strands of endometrium coming out (sorry if TMI) and the occasional worrisome cramps. Digi-bean got it's first telling off this morning for putting me through all that unnecessary worry.

Anyway, apologies for being so self-obsessed for the past week - but I hope my experience reassures any of you who go through the same when you get your BFPs. Thanks for all your support, there were a few dark days out in sunny mauritius and it was so nice to get your messages. This thread is the best!

DG

JollyBear · 08/02/2008 10:27

Happy Friday everyone!

DG All the very best of luck for the scan today

bucky Fingers crossed for Sunday. No symptoms are symptoms as it has often been said on here!!

TF FF does like to move those days around a bit!

Mrsei Have you managed to stay away from those tests?

I might test on Sunday if AF hasn't arrived by then as I will be 15DPO (by FF's recaluculation). I don't know how long my LP is though

twinklingfairy · 08/02/2008 09:42

Well, FF has now decided that I ov'd on CD19, not CD17.
Oh well, just hope that DH's wee guys held out for a couple of days

MrsEi25 · 07/02/2008 21:52

oh good TF as i often confuse myself in my going on!!
