cross-posted MTW - good morning ! Great to hear you are feeling more positive and have passed 1st milestone
Bucky did you manage not to test this morning ? womby-feelings sound promising

mibbes · 11/02/2008 09:55

MrsEi sorry she got you , but glad you are not too down about it. Great news about your sister's dream ! Talking of which we could do with another one of yours..
Swaliswan good luck
JollyBear even at 15dpo you still need FMU in some cases, sometimes the PG hormone takes ages to build up. Still no AF at 16dpo and high temps sounds very promising to me.... amazed at your willpower not to test until Thu ! Good luck HCB xx

FF has moved my ov date to Fri - so I did know better ! So am now 3dpo. Already symptom spotting - but so far nothing to report apart from being tired, which after 2 late nights is no surprise really !!!

07mumstheword · 11/02/2008 09:46

Mrsei I'm sorry you got BFN & TEW turned up. You seem OK about it this month so I hope you are rewarded next month with a BFP

Jollybear Sorry you got a BFN too I know you've got to give next cycle a miss so if AF does turn up I hope your first cycle back on the saddle you get a BFP.

Lou Sorry you're feeling down too, it really is tough

Bucky & Swaliswan Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks Mrsei for pointing out my milestone 1 Can you believe I am 4 wks today...that's nothing. It really is a double edged sword testing sooo early.

JollyBear · 11/02/2008 09:19

Morning all,

Sorry to hear about your AFs arriving mrsEi and lou

mibbes I think you are allowed to know better than FF! It may move your ov in a few days and agree with you. So glad you are not set for a long cycle this time though

bucky hope AF is still AWOL! You too swaliswan

I've still got high temps today but am just confused as I think it is unlikely I'm pregnant. I got a BFN yesterday, 15dpo. It wasn't FMU but at 15dpo I wouldn't have thought I can blame that!! I'm away from Tuesday to Thursday with work so I'm not going to test till Thursday which is the day FF suggests, that's if AF doesn't arrive beforehand.

lou2311 · 11/02/2008 09:13

Hi MrsEi,
Yes we are cycle buddies! Yay! I'm |keeping EVERYTHING crossed this month! cramping seems to be dying down a bit this morning which always helps me feel a bit more able to function...
Good luck Swali, it's so hard to know isnt it. I did the whole am I arent I this month. wishing a BFP your way!
Lou xx

Swaliswan · 11/02/2008 09:00

lou sorry AF turned up for you too so are you on CD1 today or CD2?? if its CD1 you are my very own cycle buddy for this month

MrsEi25 · 10/02/2008 20:32

Hi Bucky I'm kinda officially late my cycles having been anything between 25-30. CP has resulted in being anything upto 5 + 3 so I won't feel safer until I reach wk 6 I think. I do hope AF leaves you alone for 9 months.

scary I'm glad to say everything still going ok thanks but really scared because it is such early days. I'm really trying to remain positive about this one.

Mrsei Where are you!!!! What's going on??? Are you OK?

ScaryHairy · 10/02/2008 19:57

Actually no... I had a more boring MN name, but changed it a few months ago when I had the world's worst ingrowing hair (TMI probably, sorry) and thought I might post on MN asking what on earth to do about it. I sorted the hair out before I got round to posting about it but haven't yet got around to changing my name (disorganised? Moi? surely not).

Actually I need a new name but am not feeling terribly inspired.

I'm keeping everything crossed for you Bucky.

Bucky2008 · 10/02/2008 19:44

Hey Scary...incidentally keep meaning to ask...is your hair scary? . Mine is if I don't get the straighteners out, I was just intrigued.

No AF here yet, I feel a bit weird in the womb area too...probably just getting my hopes up stupidly. I don't have AF cramps just a weird like achy feeling . Maybe I just never noticed it before?

ScaryHairy · 10/02/2008 19:39

Mibbes I often have pre-ov temps above the coverline, and I think it would be possible to ovulate before you stop getting positive OPKs, because it is possible to catch LH surge on the way up on one day and on the way down the next if you have a big surge - and it is when LH hits a certain level that it can trigger ovulation. Having said that, if your instincts are telling you you ovulated on a different day to that which FF thinks I would trust your instincts every time. There have been a couple of times where FF has told me I ovulated after I actually did because my temps tend to rise slowly over a couple of days after ov. At the end of the cycle it then invariably readjusts so that it agrees with me.

Any word from Ei?

Everything still going ok for you, 07MTW?

Hi to everyone else. I hope you've all had a good weekend.

digitalgirl · 10/02/2008 19:33

sorry tew got you lou hope that galaxy bar does the trick.

bucky so if af is late does that mean you tested too early yesterday? Fingers crossed for the next couple of days.

We're currently renovating our bedroom. I say we when I mean dh, I'm actually lying on the sofa being 'tired'. Am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, have just got used to having a lie down whenever I feel like it. Not sure how easy that will be in the office.

I had my first baby dream last night since my bfp. I gave birth (painlessly) to a beautiful boy with dark hair and blue eyes (like dh). Dh delivered him and cleaned him up before handing him to me where I marvelled at how big he was for a newborn. I think my subconscious is finally beginning to get used to the idea, up till now most of my dreams involved me smoking and drinking.

mibbes · 10/02/2008 14:40

Bucky I am finding it very useful. My cycles are not very regular so it makes sense for me to chart. Between temps, opks and EWCM I feel that I really understand what is happening this cycle - at least this way I won't think am late when it just turns out to be late ov like last cycle - that 45 day cycle did my head in as was convinced was PG .
Having said that, my friend was a regular 28 days and assumed she ov'd day 14 until she temp'd and found out she ov'd on day 17, she was really as she had missed the egg for months ! If you get AF it is maybe worth giving it a go - it is really easy and takes your mind off the boring stages if nothing else as you have something to do !

Bucky2008 · 10/02/2008 13:42

Not really Mibbes just a lack of decent tests and the reality that AF will probably turn up today anyway. If she doesn't then maybe I ov a day later than i thought and she is due tomorrow. By Tuesday, I would say something was up IYKWIM.

FF sound tres complicated. I haven't got round to getting a thermometer yet and I really think I have a bit of a handle on my cycle now, so I am not sure what I would achieve if I started now? Are you finding it useful?

mibbes · 10/02/2008 13:38

OOhh steely resolve Bucky am impressed !

mibbes · 10/02/2008 13:37

FF has just put in my red lines and reckons I am 3dpo - I think 2dpo... FF thinks I ov'd on Thu but got 1st +ve opk on Thu and loads of EWCM - it didn't go away until Fri night - also got another +ve on Fri. So I think I'll ignore FF and go with my instinct. I'll continue to input temps though as it may move my ov date. It has lowered my coverline from last cycle and loads of pre-ov temps are above coverline which is another reason I disagree ! Only cycle 2 of temping and I think I know better than FF !!! Any other FF ladies experienced similar ?

Bucky2008 · 10/02/2008 13:33

oh and forgot to say I will probably wait till Tuesday/Wednesday to test again.

Bucky2008 · 10/02/2008 13:31

Mibbes yes, if no AF by tomorrow she will be late. . No signs yet...

Hey cycle buddy 07MTW how is it going? AF is late for you now isn't she??? Which is a good sign right? Because with CPs didn't she just turn up as usual?

mibbes · 10/02/2008 13:07

Also popping in for test results. Lou so sorry ab0ut BFN and it bringin back mc memories - never underestimate the healing power of chocolate .
Bucky when do you plan to test again ? Will you be late if no AF by tomorrow ? Fingers crossed
MrsEi any news ?
scully definitely not too late - get busy missus !

07mumstheword · 10/02/2008 12:55

Just popped in to see how the testers got on. So sorry you got a BFN Bucky I do hope it is just too early for you.

MrsEI Have you tested yet.

Hello to everyone else.

lou2311 · 10/02/2008 11:27

Ate 3 pieces of galaxy... and i dont feel guilty as i NEEDED them. MMMMMmmmm beautiful chocolate!
Thanks swaliswan - you twisted my arm!
Just got to get through the next couple of days and will start to feel the 'let's try again' thing as usual i'm sure.

Swaliswan · 10/02/2008 10:01

{{{{hugs}}}} for you Lou. It must be a very painful reminder for you. The grief of an mc can be very difficult to explain to other people. I know that I found it quite a lonely sort of grief. Don't feel that you are being selfish. It's very good that you feel that you can share how you are feeling with us. Are you sure that I can't sneak you a bit of chocolate. Just one teeny-tiny bit?

I don't think that we're going to manage to conceive on cycle one this time. My temp has dropped and I couldn't feel any less pg if I tried. I can't even be bothered to test and am just going to wait as long as it takes for AF to turn up. Roll on AF then I can start filling in a chart on FF. I think that DH is going to be happy in a warped sort of way as he felt incredibly cheated out of the fun part of ttc last time and as he was in Iraq for the whole pregnancy he didn't manage to take advantage of my hormonal urges during the pg either!
